Alright, so last week we found out about a true Breaking Dawn happening on August 2nd, the same day as the book’s release!  Well, another one of our listeners got curious and started looking into Midnight Sun, this is what he has to report…

On Last week’s show we had Nicole discover that there is a Breaking Dawn Secret. She
discovered about a Twilight , New Moon and Eclipse before the Breaking Dawn release.
Then I recently found out about the new book Midnight Sun, Twilight in Edward’s
point-of-view, and I wondered if it has to do with anything related to the same thing
Nicole was talking about. So I did some research and it look’s like Midnight Sun
is a real event that happens in some foreign contries and Canada and Alaska. So it
looks like we have another secret uncovered! Here is the link about the Midnight
Sun:

This week we will touch on the idea that the name of the book, Midnight Sun, might come from Edward’s stay in Alaska with the Denali Clan?!?!?

  1. Jessica loves Edward says:

OOOOH totally exciting!!! I love all the references to real natural things!

  2. Tina says:

ooh, that’s so cool! who would’ve thought that kind of thing actually exists? lol i sure didn’t!
I love how the titles of each book reflect the point in Bella’s (now Edward’s) life. Edward’s life was dark and lonely, and just at midnight, here comes Bella to illuminate it!
lol just thought that was cool…

  3. Alexandra Landers says:

Wow! It would be just amazing if the release date of Midnight Sun was on an actual Midnight Sun……

  4. sarah says:

    OHHHHH very interesting!

  5. Shannon says:

I lived in Iceland when I was little, but old enough what was going on. I’ve actually seen a Midnight Sun.

  6. Emily says:

Lol i have it in my textbook at school too!

  7. Chelsea says:

Let me tell you how amazing it is to see the sun up at midnight here in Alaska!! On the summer solstice, there is a big to-do here in good old Alaska that celebrates the fact that there is complete daylight like it would be a noon exactly at midnight! There are Midnight Sun Baseball games (I’ll always equate it now with vampire baseball though!)

It’s soo cool! I’ve experienced EVERY title! I think that’s one of my favorite parts of the whole thing!

I hope everyone gets at least ONE chance to see the sun at midnight, and even the Aurora Borealis! (next book title perhaps?! from the Denali clans perspective?! I think so!!)

My thoughts on the title of “Midnight Sun” has more to do with Edward’s life as one endless day. Remember that Edward never sleeps. The first chapter of “Midnight Sun”, I feel shows that Edward’s life was so boring and had no real purpose before Bella. The podcast talked about maybe that Edward had seen the midnight sun while he was in Alaska. I am in no way saying that he could not have seen a midnight sun while he was staying in Alaska when he ran away from Forks because of Bella. But in the book, Edward went to Denali which is much to far south from the Arctic Circle for the midnight sun. Thanks for the podcasts.
