Question of the Week…
Ok everyone…
On our last podcast we did not reveal what we would be discussing next week… but since we will be seeing Stephenie Meyer at a book signing this Saturday, we thought it would be appropriate for the show to be all about her! We will be talking about our experience meeting her, and we will also discuss some of the Q&A she has done in regards to Breaking Dawn… this is where the Question of the Week fits in…
What could Stephenie write in Breaking Dawn that would ruin the whole series for you?

If Bella left Edward and got with Jacob. That would ruin my whole entire Breaking Dawn and quite frankly the Twilight experience. But that won’t happen so let’s all be optimistic >.<
Alright one thing I think would ruin the whole twilight series for me is if Bella and Edward dies. I mean that’s an obvious bummer. But I don’t believe its completely unrealistic. We all know that Stephine Meyer has compared Bella and Edward to Romeo and Juliet. And nothing makes a story more dramatic then death.

If Bella woke up and it was all a dream….not cool. There would be a lot of WTF’s coming from my mouth if that were to happen
If Edward died I would be heartbroken, also if he left Bella or if Bella ends up with Jacob. I just hope the book ends the series clearly if there is a cliff-hanger that wouldn’t necessarily ruin the series but it would make it frustrating.
Honestly I don’t think anything could ruin the series for me. Things ALREADY tick me off in the seires, but I eventually accept it.
So even if I’ll get mad, it’s not MY story, what happens happens.

if Edward and Bella got their true Romeo and Juliet ending and both die. Depressed would be an understatement of what I would feel if that were true.
The worst thing for me would be if Jacob killed Edward. That would be awful for Bella, since she is in love with both. Edward is her soul mate and definitely the guy she should be with, but she also loves Jacob and the loss of Edward and the terrible act committed by Jacob would likely send her over the edge.
I guess what else could ruin it is if she wrote it from the POV of a person I dislike I listened to last week’s podcast and someone was saying that Breaking Dawn is going to be written from another person’s POV. This is the first time I heard that rumor, since I thought Breaking Dawn was supposed to be the last book written in Bella’s POV. If it has to be from anyone else’s POV, I would like Alice’s. She can offer a psychic insight to everything and would have an intimiate view of the Cullens and Bella.
I think that it’s stephenine’s story and I don’t think that there really is anything that will tick me off. If a character dies well then what can we do, read backwards??? I don’t think so. I guess what i’m tring to say is that with all the therory making and guessing about what will happen in breaking dawn I think that it’s really got me prepared for anything drastic in book four. What ever happens I will always and forever love twilight!!!!!!
If Bella ended up with Jacob I swear i would never recover and could never forgive Stephanie!!!!
Um…so many things that could potentially be disasterous to the delicate balance in Forks. I am sure that as far as I am concerned, three things could ruin the series for me. 1) If Jacob imprinted on Leah. Oh that would suck, I would be so angry! Hehe. (Go team Jacob!!!!!)
2)If things are left unresolved between Bella’s desire to be eternally damned, and Edward’s desire to keep her human. I just couldn’t cope with not knowing if Bella has a changeover or not!!
3)This is the most important!!!! If Bella killed Jacob in her newborn bloodlust frenzy! I would be utterly crushed and appalled!

I have got to say that the WHOLE SEIRIES would be ruined for me if:
A. Bella ends up with Jacob
B. Edward and Bella aren’t together in the end (even if it has nothing to do with Jacob)
C. Bella and/or Edward dies.
(if any of these things happened, I would seriously burn my books and where black until my prep school uniform forces me to do otherwise)(but i would probably only burn Breaking Dawn)
It would be hard for her to really ruin the series for me because the first books were so well written. I will say though, that if she splits Edward and Bella up (in any shape or form through death or just breaking up or Bella never turning) I will NEVER forgive her! Not that it would necessarily RUIN it because I’m sure whatever she replaced the storyline with would be fun but I would be mad at her!
Mainly though, I think the book will be supremely well-written and the biggest issue I see is if she splits Edward and Bella up because that could shake my whole notion of the perfect love because I truly believe it exists…if she splits them up..it’s like she’s saying true love DOESN’T exist or it doesn’t matter!
Stephenie wouldn’t do that to us though…at least I HOPE she wouldn’t! :’( that would be tremendously sad and upsetting if she did!
If Bella left Edward, and went to be with Jacob, that would deffinatley ruin it for me. Also, if Edward doesn’t turn Bella into a vampire, then ther wouldn’t really be much excitement left in it for me. I also thins that Bella and Edward NEED to get married, and hopefully this will happen in Breaking Dawn! =)
Pure and simple: if Edward and Bella don’t even up together … it’s a love story - the best of our generation … and its greatness lies in the core love/relationship between Edward and Bella.
Well, for one thing, it would suck if the whole thing was just a dream. I mean, how predictable and pointless is that? Also, the whole series would be ruined if they live happily ever after-I know, I know. Some people might not agree with me. But just think about it-last sentece: and so Bella and Edward lived happily ever after, THE END. wouldn’t that be really stupid and fairytale-like? I would think so… the perfect ending would be a strange twist NOBODY has EVER even DREAMED of yet.
Hmmmmm…… I’m not sure that she could really “ruin” the series, but I think that if she killed off one of the Cullen’s like Alice, or Emmet. I think that it would be bad if she did do that because they play such important roles in the story mainly Alice. That or if Bella and Edward split up and she goes back to Jacob and they end up getting married, that would just be bad.
Probably if Edward was gay, died, only loved her just to get a taste of her blood, or just lost interest. If Bella died or woke up from a dream. Or decided to stick with Jacob (Team Edward, sorry!). I’m not sure if it would be terrible or hilarious if she spontaneously combusted like she said she’d do in Eclipse. “I’ll tell you what’s dangerous. I’m going to spontaneously combust one of these days… and you’ll have no one but yourself to blame.” Or if someone dies and Bella blames herself and gets all angsty, like it’s New Moon revisited.
A few months ago, I would have loved it if Jacob died. Then I realized that that would be terrible, because I bet Bella AND Edward would both carry that guilt, and it wouldn’t be a happy ending. So I’m going to have to add that it would ruin it for me if Jacob died.
It would seriously tick me off if:
A: Bella ends up with Jacob (Go team Edward!!!!!!)
B: If Edward and Bella die, UGH that would SUCK!!!!!
C: This is more of a statement… Jacob ahb-viously won’t imprint on Leah, because when Jacob described it to Bella, he said that the werewolves imprint when they see the person’s face for the FIRST time after they become a werewolf. But it would ruin the book for me if he didn’t imprint on someone. For me, there has to be a happy ending for ALL the main characters (or partly main characters).
Other than the obvious simultaneous sound of girls’ hearts breaking around the world if Bella and Edward were somehow separated permanently…
…it would really break my heart if Bella and Charlie parted on bad terms. While Bella’s relationship with Renee is somewhat consistent throughout the three books so far, we’ve watched her develop a quiet, but very emotionally close relationship with Charlie. Neither of them are ones for words, but we’ve really felt the connection build from the awkward moments when he picks Bella up from the airport, to the point where Charlie asks Bella to essentially say goodbye to him before she leaves. (Even the fact that his intuition tells him that Bella’s going to leave him someday really guts me.) If Bella really turns into a vampire and has to say goodbye to Charlie, I only hope that they can communicate their father-daughter love for one another in, at least, the bashful manner they normally do.

Anyway, I think anything stephanie does will be amazing, she is my inspiration and now I am writing a book- while trying not to copy twilight too too much
i would totally kill someone if Bella leaves Edward and gets with Jacob. and that someone will die. i know that Jacob wont die though because he is Stephenie’s favorite character (or so i’ve been told). also, just like Kassie and Kallie have been predicting, that someone will crash Bella and Edward’s wedding.
Over at twilight moms we had this discussion what’s the worst ending you could possibly think off? and taking page out their book here is a list of my favorite’s:
1) all of this is juts one of Bella’s dream
2) Edward is gay
3) Edward turns Bella just to get himself killed off and leaves Bella to live eternity alone
4) Bella ends up changing her mind and running off with Jacob
5) In the process of changing Bella, Edward kills her and then afterwards wipes his mouth and say “dang, that sucks but man was it good”
Anyways this are just a few of the crazy and masochistic endings us ladies at TM came up with.
The absolute worst thing would be for Bella to choose Jacob. He is a fantastic character, but let’s face it, no Edward. Yes, a small part of Bella will always love Jake, but her love for Edward is something bigger. Bella said that Jacob was her soul mate in a world without magic and myth, but since that is not the case, she better stay true to Edward.
well the things that would ruin breaking dawn for me would be:
-If Bella would change her mind and leave edward in thelast minute for jacob.(team EDWARD!!)
-if jacob would kill edward.(..i would throw the book against the wall or something on curse jacob forever)
-If Bella wouldn’t be changed into a vampire.
-If jacob manipulates bella in some way again so she would leave edward.(no comment D:<)
that would ruin the all of the books for me.
and i would be forced to burn breaking dawn.
and then probably be depressed for a couple of months. and write an angry letter to stephenie (:p)
it better not turn out like romeo and juliet D:
but i wont give my hopes up for a happy ending, not yet at least ;]
OKay, the worst things she can do to ruin Breaking Dawn, well, for me at least, are:
1) Make Bella choose Jacob
2)Bella won’t marry Edward
3)Bella won’t become a vampire
4)All of this was a dream(man, that would suck!)
5)Someone in the Cullen family or the pack dies(or Bella)
6)Edward leaves
And more…!! But these are the main reasons why I would throw Breaking Dawn away!
I think that it would ruin the whole series if Jacob died or even if he stopped being friends with Bella. I have been in love with Jacob ever since New Moon; and while I obviously know that Bella and Jacob will not end up together I would still love for them to remain close. Jacob is still an important part of her life (whether you like it or not Kassie), and I think that it should stay that way.
I don’t want BD to be written in another perspective and I don’t think it will be because Steph says that Bella will get to tell her story, so I’m not worried.
I would also be very angry if there was a power to change vamps back into humans because if the Cullens all turned back into humans they wouldn’t be incredibly gorgeous:(
The worst thing that Stephenie could write about would be if one of the main characters died like one of the Cullens. That would totally be heart-breaking!

I bet my answers are the same as most people’s, but…
1. Bella not be turned. I mean, that’s what we’ve wanted since day 1
2. Edward not change her.
3. The Cullens be mortal
4. BD being told by Jacob
5. Edward or Bella dying–Romeo and Juliet has been used enuf in the series.
6. Bella not having what we consider to be a power–which i think just might happen. I mean, Rosalie, Emmet, Carlise, and Emse have “powers” but not “special” powers. (except maybe carlise and his awesome self control)
7. Jacob dying. Who am I supposed to hate? Unless he dies for bella, then it will be for a worthy cause.
8. Charlie remaining ignortant. I love the idea of hiim and sue, so he’d have to know about the wolves and vamps.
any combination of those would disappoint me.
I definitely think that if she wrote that Bella left Edward for Jacob or either Bella or Edward died it would totally ruin not only Breaking Dawn for me, but it would also ruin the entire series. It would be just like in Dawson’s creek where in the finale Joey ended up with Pacey instead of Dawson, I felt like I completely wasted my time watching the show all those years.
I hope it doesn’t come down to that because I think alot of people would be disappointed. By the way I just wanted to add that I love you guys show, there is definitely no other podcast out that is as good!
Hmmmm well, aside from the obvious (Jacob taking bella, someone dying, etc), I think the worst thing that could happen would be for Jacob to never ever find someone to be with, or be happy. I know everyone is hoping that someone won’t die, like me, but I would be heartbroken if Jake’s heart was left forever torn!!!
the worst thing stephenie meyer could EVER do in breaking dawn is kill edward and jacob and leave bella to mike.

5. Jacob dies. Not because I’m a huge Jacob fan or anything, but because Bella would feel awful and sad, and then Edward would feel awful seeing her like that blah blah blah……..
I’m also pretty sad that breaking Dawn won’t be in Bella’s perspective. I really liked being in side her head. lol
I was really looking forward to that.
I will throw a fit (worthy of Bella of course), if Bella’s transformation ends the book. I want to know what happens when she’s a vampire, what’s her talent, etc. I don’t want a ’she’s transformed and they live happily ever after’ ending. Give me burned in flames or riding off into the sunset please!!!

The worst thing that would ruin Breaking Dawn for me is that Edward dies. It would be sad. Charlie dying would also ruin it for me. Finding out that Bella isn’t a vampire.
I have a tall order. But pretty much what everyone is saying…
1) Bella must change
2) Edward must fulfill Bella’s wish of… trying something… before she is changed…
AND OF COURSE
3) Bella and Edward must stay together in the end!
IF ANY OF THE VAMPIRES LOST THEIR BEAUTY!!!!!!! I can’t imagine Edward losing any of his beauty! Or any of the Cullens for that matter! I, along with everyone else, have fallen in love with Edward as he is, and he better stay the same!!
I would hate to see Bella,after she’s changed, to go blood crazy and be lured by the Volturri,and end up being a horribly evil vampire.(though I know we all know that wouldnt happen, but that was the worst thing that poped into my head).
Oh, wait, I just thought of something worse: If Bella’s power ended up being that she could change vampires back into humans. That would be awful.(To me that power seems pointless)
I think if something stopped Bella from becoming a Vampire, it wouldn’t quite ruin the whole series, but i’d be very disapointed and put out. Stephenie’s been leading up to Bella’s change since the end of Twilight! Just get on with it goshdarnit! What would frustrate me most about Bella not changing into a vampire would be that, because she didn’t change, her and Edward can’t be together forever, which would be bad for both of them.
So I see a lot of deaths listed here! But worse than death……what if Bella’s vampire ‘gift’ prevents Bella and Edward from been together. To live for eternity, in passionate love with each other, but unable to be together. That would be the most painful existence for both of them, and the biggest let down for me!! Do not take this to mean that I think this is a possibilty. It is just about the worst thing I could think of that would ruin the series for me. Transformation of Bella or not, what would be the point of all that Bella and Edward have endured if in the end they can not live together forever?? Whether it be a human forever, or a vampire forever, they need to be with each other!!

So I think the worst thing that could happen in Breaking Dawn would be for Edward and Bella to not live with each other forever!!!!! If something happened with their relationship, or one of them, I would be so completely heartbroken! I know everyone else has said this, but Bella and Edward are soul mates! These books have put me in the best mood for the past month, really strange, but I welcome the obsession!

Edward becoming human (LAME!!!) or the wedding not happening.
The thing she could do that would ruin it for me would be to end things too happily, or without much of a catastrophe. The conflict in this book better be excruciating or I’m going to be disappointed. I’m not saying that the resolution can’t be blissful, but that there also should be a good amount of heartache as well. I hope it’s bittersweet. If it’s all too happy and gushy, I’ll be ashamed to call myself a fan.
I’d hate to see Edward die and have Bella survive, because of Bella’s reaction to it. It’d be like New Moon, except 1000 times worse, and quite frankely I wouldn’t want to see one of my favorite literary characters go off themselves or go into some depression coma. Vice versa on why I don’t want to see Bella die.
I’d also hate to see one of the other cullens or pack members die, especially if it were in a situation where they were defending Bella, because she would blame herself. And honestly, could you ever look at Emily or Jasper again if Sam or Alice died?
If Edward and Bella don’t end up together (BIG HUGE BUMMER!!).
Okay, so I’ve just sat here talking to myself for the past few minutes like a completely insane person & debated what would absolutely RUIN the books for me. Conclusion: If the vampires, namely the Cullens, became mortal. I feel as though it would take away from the internal struggle that Edward has suffered through and cheapen the experience when Bella becomes a vampire (at least we hope so). The bite is the final and most expressive symbol of their love; it’s what binds them for eternity. If that was just suddenly remedied by some extremely lucky circumstances, what’s the point of even putting so much emphasize on the soul and the whole damnation thing throughout the series? Becoming mortal is the easy way out, it has a cheese quality. Edward & Bella deserve to have a happy ending, but does it have to be perfect? No, it’s unrealistic & in Stephenie’s words, “craptastic.”
Also, if the whole mortal thing was possible, it’s more than likely ALL the Cullens would want to transform & stay as a family. To me, that would make the vampire world even more unbalanced than it already is as far as good vs. evil is concerned. There are only two covens of “vegetarians” out there to set an example. They’d be endangering all that they stand for in that world. Who’s to say the Denali wouldn’t dissolve as well? Who’d be there to show the more moral vampires that there is an alternative? I’d just hate to see Carlisle abandon all that he has accomplished.
Sorry for it being so long, but trust me, I could have gone on much longer. This is the watered down version. :]

end of story… thats basically death to the reader.. and our fictional boyfriend.
If it turned out Edward was ACTUALLY Edwarda (aka the female version of Edward), and worked for the Volturi as a fry cook at Mc Donald’s.
If Edward dies and Jacob ends up with Bella. Booo.
Or if the ENTIRE series was a dream.. VOMIT.
Oh, and if the book’s told by another perspective.. I’ve heard it might, and that… THAT would be the death of me. Bella needs to tell her whole story, and this book would, in my opinion be the most important part in her and Edward’s relationship.
The top three things that would ruin the novel for me are:
3.) Jake ends up with Bella
2.) Bella never becomes a vampire
1.) Edward dies…*eternal tears*
I would seriously cry if any one of these things happen. If Jake ended up with Bella the whole excitement and lure of the vampire/human love story would be gone. After having experienced all these new boundaries with a forbidden love why would a book just let it stop and have Bella end up with someone else in the end? Bella needs to become a vampire, end of story, literally. If Edward died I think I would go catatonic. It would just go to show that nice guys don’t finish on top, they die.
Oh and if the last line of the book was “…and then I woke up.” All heck would break loose if that happened. Stephenie will have opened Pandora’s box with that one…
what would ruin the series for me would be if the wedding is crashed

wedding night crashed, because seriously who doesn’t want edward and bella to hurry up and have sex already
so if the wedding night was crashed it would cause more drama and tension

The series would be ruined for me if there was no happy ending. I think the worst thing that Stephenie could do would be to kill Bella or someone close to her. Even if Bella is fine in the end, if somehow Edward, Jacob, Charlie, or Renee ended up not surviving the book, then it would be hard to consider the ending to be happy. I’ve gotten myself pretty invested in the story that has been unraveling and if the entire Cullen family and werewolf pack can survive a battle with almost 20 newborn vampires, then I would think they could survive anything, even 5 centuries old elitist Volturi.
Please! How could you ruin this great series of books? But…these three things would certainly be disappointing:
1. If any of the Cullens were hurt or killed (especially Edward),
2. If Bella leaves Edward for Jacob, and
3. If Bella does not become a vampire! Come on! It is totally the right thing for her to do!
Stephenie Meyer is brilliant and knows what her audience wants…she will not disappoint us!
Firstly i want to say i love you guys:D i am just a new listener i have been looking for a good Twilight podcast for 4 years since i read the book and you guys dont have really annoying voices which makes it all better HAHA anyways i think the thing that would ruin the whole series for me is if ..
1) It was all just a dream

2) The Cullens and the warewolves were just playing a massive April Fools Day prank that got out of Hand
OR 3) Bella decides that she has never wanted Edward or Jacob and Eric is the one for her.

I don’t know if anything would “ruin” the series for me because, as someone else has already said, the story is Stephenie’s and I’m sure that whatever she writes will seem right when I read it. However, I feel that it would be tragic if Edward remains as a vampire. In the chapter of MIdnight Sun on SM’s website we can see that he is so miserable and tormented and he does not want that life for Bella. He has already convinced her that pre-marital sex is not the way to go and I’m sure that he will convince her that being a vampire is not the way to go either. To see Bella go through the pain of being a newborn and then the torture of wanting to kill innocent humans and being separated from her parents and Jacob would just be awful.
ok listen up
i think that bella will go looking for jacob(cause he ran off)and when or if she finds him she’ll get mortally injured and jacob will beg Edward to chance her before she dies,anyways-she survives and her power will either be she can stand the smell of blood and she’ll pritty much be human eventho she’s a vamp -OR she becomes the heroine of the story and She’ll fight beside the Voturi to get rid of some masive army of vamps and cause theres a chance they won’t survive-she and Edward get there “alone time” but it end up all good and it will end with the wedding

i really am looking forward to the whole edward bella marrage and then turning her into a vampire thing,so if something happends along the lines of jacob coming to crash the wedding or something, that would make me really mad, the number one thing would have to be a really crappy ending.

The series would be ruined for me if Edward and Bella don’t end up together. They are perfect for each other and after everything they’ve gone through, deserve a happy ending. Steph’s comparisons to a Midnight Summer’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet worry me because it could mean that A)Bella and Edward don’t last or B) that one of them dies. I really don’t want this to happen, Edward is my favorite character and if he or one of his family dies, it would be awful.

The thing that would ruin the book for me is, having something inturupt Bella and Edward’s wedding but them never getting back to it so they wouldn’t get married that would make me really dislike the books. Also what would ruin the books for me is if Bella picked Jacob over Edward I honestly really dislike Jake, because he caused alot of problems.(sorry if you’re a Jacob fan just my opinion)

If Edward and Bella do not get together, the whole book experience will be different, and i wont like it because Edward and Bella belong together, but since i trust Stephanie Meyer i believe she will keep them together forever and happy.
I think that if Stephenie Meyer actually wrote out the scene where Bella and Edward did “it.” Because, I think that then the series would then be limited to an older age group, which I am not a part of. Even though we all know that it is not trashy AT ALL, the series could then be grouped among trashy young adult novels that do have sex and drugs and a ridiculous amount of swearing. But if a scene was written in BD, I would feel like I couldn’t read the books anymore because it goes against what I believe we teenagers should be doing with our lives. It goes against my standards and beliefs and I do not want to be drooling over books with not-so-good, and bad, stuff in them.
Oh yeah, and SM’s novels ARE SO GOOD, and I don’t mean GOOD in that sense. I think that a lot of books directed towards teens send a bad message. SM’s books do not have such things and are based on character rather than how much money Edward has for drugs. Teenagers need to realize that you can have fun in your life without getting into bad things. You can have a good fulfilling life. SM’s books show that. (Even though, we will never find a vampire like Edward! : ) )
I love reading all your responses and ideas. It gives me a lot to think about. Since it seems I can’t think about anything else!!!!!!!!!!!
Edward and Bella have to end up together! Human or not, I don’t care as long as they are together.
Edward has become my favorite fictional character since Rhett Butler.
And like everyone else I’m really hoping that Stephanie doesn’t change Bella’s POV, but if she does, I can only hope that it will be in exchange for Alice’s POV.

& As someone else said I heard rumors about Stephenie changing the POV, and I would be pretty upset if she did. If it is the final book of the series, it should be in Bella’s POV. It makes no sense to change it now. But I suppose we will see when the 1st chapter of Breaking Dawn is released soon!!
twilight series would be ruined for me if
a) anybody from the Cullen family died (recently had this dream were Alice died - I was crying when I woke up)
b) Bella or/and Edward died - suppose, this is greatest horror of EVERY fan, next to
c) Jacob getting Bella, though I think with last page of Eclipse it is clear that’s never going to happen…
d) Bella being human at the end of the book, no marriage or what so ever…gnarf…
and finally
e) Bella wakes up and everything and everybody has been a dream…NOOOOOOO!!!! (read that in a fanfiction not so long ago, there it was a nice idea, where as in the original book series, it would break my heart into millions of tiny little pieces…
I have a gut feeling that Stephenie will not make Edward die. I mean, she know’s what that would do to her readers… It would decrease the book sales by about half! Also, Jacob probably wouldn’t die either, as Jacob adds some SPICE to a SUGAR solution (aka Edward and Bella)..
My answer to the question of the week is that i would be SOOOOOOO angry if Bella’s mind stopped being protected and Edward could hear her thoughts + Jane could hurt her. It would totally change the series for the worse, Edward would get hurt protecting Bella from Jane, Edward would get hurt hearing Bella’s thoughts about Jacob and when he leaves her. It just makes the series so much more unhappy… I HOPE Stephenie will not make that so, even if Bella does become a vampire…….

Nothing could ruin the book for me but i would be annoyed if bella doesn’t get bitten because, although i loved eclipse, i was waiting for her to get bitten throughout the book. I can’t wait to find out what she can do as a vampire.Obviously Edward cannot die so i’m not even thinking about it! It’s not allowed! I also wouldn’t like it if Edward left Bella for a better looking vampire girl or Bella decided she wanted Jacob instead, probably not going to happen though. I want there to be a big battle at the wedding after they have said ‘I do’. I hope that the book stays in the POV of Bella or Edward. I cant wait!

Bella wakes up next to Edward and says “the dawn is breaking” (ok very unoriginal) and then Edward says “YOU’VE BEEN PUNKED BELLA SWAN!!!” and then Kutcher and the Cullen family, and Charlie, Renne, Phil, everyone thats been in the other books comes out of her closet and laughs at her, and it is shown on nation television

If Stephenie Meyer said that Breaking Dawn was going to be like Midsummers Night Dream, then the worst thing that could ruin BD would be that everyone fell for the wrong person. OR … that right before the book ends Edward bites Bella and then she says “And the fire began to burn into my vains” UGH that would kill it!
P.S: Also if the Volturi crashed the wedding and found Bella unchanged into a vampire and would kill her….

If Edward or Bella died it would ruin the entire thing for me. After getting to know this characters and relate to them for so long, after seeing their love struggle and grow, it would be horrible if either of them were to die or if they got separated.
Quite obviously, I would be ruined if Bella and Edward don’t end up together for eternity (that means she better become a vampire as well). I haven’t read a Midsummer’s Night’s Dream so I don’t get the comparison but it seems some people think this will mean a problem for Bella and Edward being together in the end. Can you guys discuss this a little? I would just die if they didn’t end up together- and we better get to see them together as vampires before the end of the book. I want some time to enjoy it!

Hm. I really don’t think that there will be anything that would actually “ruin” the book for me - I’ll be a fan no matter what happens. The thing that would really uspet me though, is that if Jacob and Leah don’t get together. They seem so perfect for eachother! I really think Leah likes Jacob, and I think that’s the reason why she’s always nagging him. Plus, that means that Jacob will leave Bella and Edward alone.
I would be really upset if anything ever happened to one of the cullens. Like if one of them dies.

I really want Breaking Dawn to be the most romantic out of all the books!!!!!!!! I want to be overwhelmed with the romance i can hardly take it in all at once!! I dont want there to be any sad heartbreak! for Bella or Edward and i cant believe im saying this but Jacob too!

ok first of all, people have GOT to read the things stephanie meyer has written on her website. First, she wrote forever dawn which was originally the second book after highschool, and she said she was SHOCKED by what the characters turned out to do (ie edward leaving, bella falling in love with jacob) and she also says that the fact she is giving up humanity and life that she could have with jacob, makes her love with edward even stronger. so, besides all that stuff that will NOT change………and they cant die in the end because that is just ridiculous. stephenie meyer isnt stupid…………the thing that would ruin the book for me is if jacob is left heartbroken and miserable. Edward is my #1 but jacob is extremely close in slot #2. so thats what would make me depressed and ruin the books.
i really actually hope breaking dawn is like sexier and more WOOHOOO then the rest. maybe it’ll be like they get really serious and get married.

honestly, i will be devastated if stephenie makes bella be with jacob. as far as i’m concerned jacob can go jump off a cliff. i <3 edward. though, it might be hard for bella and edward to be together when edward is currently living in my closet right now. but really, i think the two of them are perfect together, and jacob is just getting in the way of a perfect romance.

Okay, I know it’s really generic to say, but I just love your show! And I know what its like to wait in line for the Host for forever! Let’s just say that I was at Barnes and Noble for over fifteen hours waiting for Stephenie just to appear! LOL
Anyway, the one thing that would ruin the book for me is if Bella acted like someone that she wasn’t. (If she didn’t stay true to herself.) Like lets say she ran off and marries Jake. I for one wouldn’t mind (Team Switzerland) (Sorry all your Jake haters!) as long as she was happy. Bella should think more about her self and stay true to herself. I feel in the past books she has done this and my only wish is that she continues this. I feel this surrounds the book in a positive aura that most books for young adults don’t have. If she doesn’t stay true to herself then the book might as well contain meaningless sex, language, and drugs. At least that’s my way of seeing it!

Well, I COULD say that Bella ending up with Jacob would ruin the series, but, because of basic writing formulas (which the Twilight series seems to follow), I’m almost 100% sure this would not happen. Jacob, as a plot device, exists almost solely for the purpose of acting as a hurdle for Edward and Bella’s relationship. People can say what they want about Bella loving Jacob and vice versa, but when there is this much build-up of a relationship (in which I’m referring to Edward and Bella), having the focal point of a love triangle (Bella) end up with the third corner (Jacob) would be both odd and just not right from a practical and writing standpoint.
OK. On to the REAL question. What I would be disappointed in the most would be if Edward SOMEHOW becomes human. That’s not to say that it would be entirely bad, but in my mind, that would really take away from the incredible nature of his and Bella’s relationship. Now, why am I so worried about this as compared to the “Bella ends up with Jacob” scenario? It’s because this idea is, honestly, the most plausible and “correct” route for Meyer to take, and here’s why: For one, this IMMEDIATELY solves the moral dilemma of whether Bella should become a vampire. After all, if Edward becomes human, there’s no reason for her to be Turned. For another thing, Edward becoming human would be exactly what he would want (of course, that’s not to say I wouldn’t want Edward, as a character, to be happy). For the life of me, I can’t remember where in the books I read this, but at one point (I believe in Eclipse), Edward says that if there were a way for him to become human, he would. I believe this is foreshadowing to what may come. And, as my last and final (yet most important) point comes from the nature of Meyer herself. She has expressed many times the joy she finds in being a mother. As a vampire, Bella could never have children (as Rosalie has made pretty clear). Yet, if Edward becomes human, again, there’s no need for her to become a vampire, and she would be free, in the future, to have a family of her own, something that Meyer HIGHLY values. This, in the end, is the main reason why she would probably make Edward a human again.
Well, not to make this longer than it already is, but basically, Edward becoming human is what I would “fear” the most. Again, that’s not so say that I don’t WANT Edward and Bella to get what they want or for them to have the chance of having a family; my “fear” merely comes from the idea that the magical quality of their relationship may be lost if neither are supernatural in any way. And, in the end, that’s what really draws me to this series.

If the book were to be written from Jacobs perspective I don’t think I would even be able to read it! That would def. ruin everything for me! It just wouldn’t be the same reading it from his view because of the way he feels about Bella and Edward…I would be very sad reading about Edward from an Edward hater!

Things that would ruin Bracking Dawn would be IF EDWARD AND BELLA DON’T END UP TOGETHER FOR EVER, IF THEY DIED, IF THE CULLENS OR THE WOLF PACK DIE, IF BELLA ENDS UP WITH JACOB, IF JACOB DOES NOT TALK TO BELLA NEVER, IF CHARLY DIES( i mean he has been a good father so far) I would aso hate if charly does interfair in the wedding so bella and edwar don’t get married and also if the wedding get interfier by any kind of disturbing. this are some of the things that would totally WILL MAKE ME HATE BRACKING DAWN!!!
I’d be disappointed if Bella stayed with Edward. Really, because then she would leave her mortal life behind. It’s not just about love for Edward, but about knowing herself, and she can’t know what she doesn’t try, since she’s deciding to leave it behind. So I’m rooting for Jacob and Bella. At least then she has a fighting chance of staying human.

What would ruin the series? I can’t see anything RUINING the series, but there are several things that could happen that would make me… sad.
1) One of the Cullens dieing. I love all of them dearly, even Rosalie who I didn’t like in the beginning of the series. Any one of them dieing would leave a huge hole in their family, one that I don’t think could be filled by anyone else.
2) The Cullens having to fight the wolves. I KNOW this is a distinct possibility. But still, after the last two books it will be hard to see the Cullens fighting them. Especially after them fighting together to get rid of the newborns.
3) Bella dieing and Edward offing himself because she dies. (actually either one of them dieing would make me cry)
4) Bella and Edward not able to be together for some other reason other then death.
From reading the various comments, by the bye, not everyone will be happy with Breaking Dawn. What I do hope is that it is written well enough to cushion the blow of disappointment that will undoubtedly be felt by some of us. (Yes, and I do feel some of your fingers pointing at me. I’m all for Team Jacob.)

The worst thing that could happen in this book is Bella choosing Jacob over Edward, and then Jacob imprinting on someone else. Edward would be hurt so bad, and Bella wouldn’t be able to go back to him.
Edward and Bella need to stay together, and I want to see them married, and Bella finally turned into a vampire!
Okay I’ve thought of several more reasons that would make this book a disaster.
1. In the the third book Bella talks to Edward about the Denali family in Alaska, and she asks Edward if any of them had shown a liking to him. He tells her that Tanya had liked him, but that he kindly told her that he did not share that liking. What if Tanya tries to come after Bella-making the way clear for her to Edward.
2. The Volturi come back and get to Bella before she is turned (if she is turned at all)
3. Stephanie keeping up her Shakespear theme, because Breaking Dawn is suppose to be modeled after Midsummer Night’s Dream. If you think about it the characters of the two stories are alike. Two guys liking one girl…and look at how a Midsummer Night’s Dream ended.
Ok i’ve thought of another one…WHAT IF Bella gets knocked up before she is changed into a vampire?! OMG that would be crazy! This would be a new turn to the story!
Tricia - Correct me if i am wrong, but vampires have no internal working organs or blood etc. Therefore, Edward and Bella couln’t possibly have a baby because Edward cannot create….um, the male reproductive part. *sorry for the science lesson*
Are you talking about Bella and Jacob? Unless Bella chooses Jacob, which in book 3 we learnt was probably not going to happen, thats also very unlikely.
Yeh, I am sticking to my answer. Everyone has sent in answers about what if Bella doesnt turn, what about if Jacob gets Bella. Although they are very bad things, if they were to happen in the book, they are unlikely. I still would be gutted if Bella’s mind turned normal (ie. not protected from Jane). Edward would get hurt hearing her thoughts and hurt from protecting Bella from Jane.
if stephanie meyer makes bella leave edward for jacob she’s seriously going 2 have a whole lot of deaths to account for. lol
anyway, i just don’t want bella to kiss jake again. if she does i will seriously be so mad coz she can’t keep hooking up with other guys when she’s got the absolute perfect guy in front of her. seriously, bella can’t see a good thing even when it smacks her in the face. an jake is fun an all but hes only good as a best friend. not boyfriend/husband.

i dont want Bella to hurt Edward. Becuase in Eclispe at the end were Bella asks Jacob to kiss her and she just kissed him back, even though Edward didnt show that he was hurt, he must have been hurting inside.

’show your emotions edward! we want to feel sorry for you!’
another thing that would tick me off would be if Bella decided she wanted to wait a few months until the wedding because if she loves edward and edward loves her then why wait?

I think that the main thing that would tick me off would be if Bella were to be turned into a vampire that she would no longer be a total klutz (i think that’s how you spell it!lolz) If us humans could no longer relate to Bella, i think the point of the stories would be slightley marred.

Kathryn - I see where you are coming from but that is sort of explained in Eclipse. Bella and Jacob are talking about soul mates….The really sad thing is is that Jacob is Bella’s true soul mate in the human world. They would have been easy and totally meant for eachother if magic and vampires and werewolfs didnt exist. But they DO exist (In Stephenie’s mind of course!) and thus making Edward Bella’s new soul mate. Bella still loves Jacob in the “human” world, but a new stronger love of hers is for Edward. She cannot leave either of them alone and like Jacob said in Eclipse.. Edward is like a drug for Bella. But Jacob would be healthier, not a drug but a sun. Jacob can cope with the clouds, but not an eclipse (basically the power of Edward’s soul mateneness)..

First off I LOVE the series so not much would disappoint me. I will howerer be EXTREMELY angry if Edward ends up not turning Bella. Alexandra Landers- yes I have thought about that too, but the thing that I have noticed is that Stephanie is doing things that aren’t expected…she’s creating her own world. From what we have heard in the past, vampires sleep in coffins and burst in the sun-but Stephanie has changed that. Vampires can’t sleep at all. Also people are talking about Edward being turned into a human, but I don’t see how that’s possible, BUT Stephanie is doing a lot of things with her books that I didnt think were possible. So what Im saying is at the rate she’s going she could make anything happen in her books, including Bella getting pregnant from Edward- even if normally it shouln’t work like that.

J. If Bella is really nasty to Jacob
K. If Bella doesn’t get a happily-ever-after
L. If Jacob NEVER imprints on anyone
M. IF EDWARD DIES
N. If Bella eats anyone important to the storry
O. If Bella’s mind stops being protected
P. If The Werewolves and The Cullens/Hales end up fighting
Q. If Edward (or any of the Cullen/Hales/Werewolves) turn human
R. If Jacob EVER kisses Bella again

If Bella and Edward went to college. If they moved to Antarctica. There are sooo many things that could ruin the book for me. of course i would keep reading, waiting for Stephanie to make it right again, hoping that it would get better, and of course if she decided to continue the series even from someone else’s POV, i would still go out, buy them, and read them.
It will ruin the whole series for me if Bella and Edward didn’t end up together, if would have been like Romeo dying and Juliet staying with Paris, or like Rachel and Ross not ending together in Friends, or like Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth not ending together!!!! OMG!!! NOO!!! it will not make sense at all….specially if it was because of jake (even if he’s not a bad guy)
It would be so sad if
1) It was a dream
2) Jake imprinted on someone and Bella has to watch them together(don’t get me wrong, Bella and Edward belong together, but she loves Jacob too.)
3) If Bella’s mind wasn’t safe anymore
4) If Bella and Edward really really love each other but they have to be seperated(if this happens I will just be depressed for a year and then send S.Meyer hate mail)
5) Anyone good dies(DUH!)
6) Edward finds an excuse for them not to do *it*
7) If Bella is never changed and grows old in front of Edward’s eyes…
sorry for the long post, but if any or all(unbearable) of these things happen, I will cry for a year, kill someone, burn my books, and become a hermit.

If it gets to the wedding, Bella totally freaks out, and runs off to Jacob.

If Bella did not become a vampire because Edward died because she chose Jacob! I would completely flip out! Bella and Edward have to be together AS VAMPIRES!
I also don’t want Jacob to die, I want him to imprint someone.
And if Edward became human, that would just be silly!
Also, if Jacob doesn’t come back. He has to come back, something is in store with Jacob, he has a plan. Just to add drama cause, well, it isn’t going to run smoothly is it?

if angela really *was* a witch and put some curse on the cullens and killed them all! i mean, im a jacob fangirl, but seeing the vamps die would be terrible.
or if bella and edward moved to antartica, and they had werebears! like werewolves, but polar bears! but edward didnt know about the werebears, so he got attacked and killed! that would suck…a lot. not like it would happen, but admit it; it would suck.
i think it would be funny if mike newton crashed the wedding, then tried to attack edward. then edward accidentally killed mike, then had the volturi come in and kill edward for exposing them and bella for being human. that would suck…a lot. unless the rest of the story would be about jacob, cause that would be freaking awesome!

i don’t like jacob but i don’t hate him either but i would be upset if this whole love triangle continues. and it might just ruin the book. its really bugging me. why can’t bella just see that she can’t have both edward and jacob? and why can’t she see that edward is clearly the one for her? i’m sure jacob’s soul mate is out there and think she needs to make her entrance NOW.
btw last week’s podcast was hilarious! i’m also excited for this week’s because i’m also going to see stephenie on the 19th! i’m so excited! i have to finish the host soon! i better go read so i can see what happens! bye
Alexandra- I know, thats why I commented on it. Though when you think about it how would she get pregent. Edward won’t…you know….until they’re married. So even if Stephenie went back on what she said, teh chances of them even knowing Bella is pregent is like zero.
It would totally ruin it if
1) Bella runs off with Jacob
2) Bella’s thirst for blood ( if she becomes a vampire) leads her to split off from the Cullen family and thier way of life
3) Any Cullen dies
Edward just needs to flipping bite her already!… I mean it’s just going to totally ruin the book if throughout all this struggle and self consciousness Bella stays human forever.
i honestly dont really think that anything can really ruin the books for me, i guess its because i love them so much. if somthing was to happen that i wouldnt like it wouldnt stop me from reading the books (and re reading and re reading them!). its stephenie story, so for me nothing really could ruin the books what happends happends and she most likely wrote them like that for a reason.

I dont think Stephine Meyer will want to kill anyone. If she does it wouldent be Bella Or Edward. Not Even Jacob. I dont think she could even have them split up. At this point i dont want to think about what SM might do to ruin the books. I hope she couldet do anything that would ruin the books. Me and my friend have a joke and we keep saynig that if anything happnes to ruin the book we will stab someone.
Hands down, Bella ending up with Jacob!!! I would have to really consider T-Peeing her house. HA HA only kidding, Stephanie is very in love with Edward and Bella together so that CANNOT happen. Hear me Stephenie. ha ha

I think if Edward somehow gets turned back into a human. Not only would that be ridiculous because his body is already “dead” so to speak, but it would make all of the previous stories not as good. I would not have any desire to reread the books for the 4th time or see the movies. It would kind of all be for nothing. They need to live happily ever after, eternally. There are already stories of star crossed lovers that are human. If we want a human story we will read those. We love the fantasy!
if something crashed the wedding. the wedding has to be absolutely perfect! i would die if something ruined it!!
I love the Twilight Series, i really do..but when it comes to looking towards the future i can get a little paranoid, so please, bear (Emmett reference haha) with me. There is no doubt in my mind that Breaking Dawn will be fabulous, but i cant help but overthink the possibilities. It would completely disappoint me if:
A) Anyone dies. A lot of people have been saying that it would be horrible to lose someone like Edward(I pray to god, this doesn’t happen), but it would really make me sad to see anyone leave the story…because these characters have all become a part of our Twilight obsessed hearts.
B) Bella doesn’t become a vampire…this is just something that has to happen…no questions asked
C) Something horrible happens to Jacob. Okay this is very odd of me to say seeing as how..i dont exactly like Jacob having to do anything with Bella…yes, i play for Team Edward. But Jacob has seemed to grown on me throughout the story.

Ok so i have been thinking about this question all day long and i have narrowed down somethings that would really bug me…
Number 1: The Tuckeverlasting ending…that would just kill me!! i read that book in 5th grade and i loved it untill the ending, the ending just ruined it for me
Number 2: Jacob not accepting the fact that Bella chose Edward over him, even if Jacob doesnt do anything like decide to fight edward, or crash the wedding, just knowing that he doesnt accept that would really bother me alot!! You know makes me want to just slap Jacob and tell him to just accept it and deal with it, of course i would probably break my hand trying to slap Jacob around
Number 3: if the epilouge isnt good then it would ruin it for me, i want it to be good, i want to get me closure from it you know? like i want to read it close my book and just smile and know everything will be okay, but not like Harry Potter, last book was just to happy,and cheesy for me.
what would ruin the series for me, is if Edward dies. I have a strong (but sad) feeling that he will since Stephenie is always mentioning Romeo and Juliet. I really would NOT want that to happen and hopefully it won’t and so they can have their happy ending. (que Cassie’s signature YAY!) lol

i no that a vampire royal family coming and ruining your wedding is not normal but isnt it true that like 99% of movies and tv shows and books that have a wedding in
somehow the wedding gets crashed and stephaine doesnt seem the kind of lady to make something clique
also i think it wud be nice just to have a nice moment in the book that we can all shed afew tears over
even though there is like one of them every other chapter……
but yeah, im sorry if my little rant was a bit long but that is something that i think wud ruin it

I think it would be pretty bad if the book were written in Jacob’s or Leah’s perspective. I know the epilogue was written in Jacob’s prespective but Im not sure I could handle a whole book like that.
Edward or alice’s would be much better.
I think that I can handle just about any direction that Breaking Dawn can take except something bad happening to Jacob. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think that Jacob belongs with Bella. He deserves someone who appreciates him and loves ONLY him. On the other hand – as much as I want Bella and Edward to be together, I don’t think that she should become a vampire. Bella is very young and does not yet realize how important her family (in addition to Edward) is to her. When I was her age I would probably have given up everything for my “true love.” Now that I have lost one sibling and my parents are growing older, I treasure the time that I spend with all my family and I appreciate the value of many important relationships in my life (not just one). Edward is old enough to have lost and gained many things and learned their value. If he truly, selflessly loves Bella, then I don’t see how he could allow her to give up everything for him. Besides, I don’t think that Bella being human or growing older, will change the way Edward feels about her. AND if Bella thinks that his feelings would change, then she is with the wrong guy. She should not, however, be with Jacob (like I said before). Stephenie needs to write ME into the next story and I will take care of Jacob.

The only thing I could think of is if she spends more than half of the story talking mainly about the werewolves. I am so deeply emotionally involved in Edward and Bella’s story that I, quite honestly, don’t give a crap about Jacob and the pack unless they somehow directly involve the Cullens.
Also, she’s had this huge build up for when Edward and Bella finally have sex and I’m worried that it’ll be something like, “Then they went to bed and Bella woke up a new woman…” which will leave me going “WTF?!” I don’t want to read a romance novel with ridiculous details but I also don’t want it glossed over. There must be a middle ground.
