Question of the Week ~ Jacob’s POV

Aug 12th, 2008 | By | Category: Question of the Week

I just want everyone to know how hard it is to come up with a question that won’t give too much away to Kassie and Linsey, since they have not finished the book! LOL! So, here goes this week’s question…

What was your favorite Chapter Title, and Chapter from Jacob’s POV (Point of View)? Why?

  1. My favorite chapter was all book point of view of Jacob, because is my favorite character of Breaking Dawn.

For the Renesmee´s fans here you have a blog about her:

    http://renesmee.blogspot.com/

  2. Nia says:

Favourite chapter title: Waiting for the damn fight to start already
Because I can imagine Jacob saying it. All through New Moon and Eclipse, Bella complains about how eager Jacob is for a fight, and then, the first chapter that Jacob gets his hands on, it’s all about a fight. I love it!
(My favourite chapter title is probably “Why didn’t I just walk away? Oh right, because I’m an idiot.” because it made me laugh so much, but I didn’t have much of a reason for that, so I went for my second favourite)

Favourite chapter: There are no words for this.
I’m not sure if this point has been passed yet, but I don’t think this chapter needs explaining anyway. I guess I love it because finally Jacob doesn’t get the short end of the stick. And the way his feelings change so suddenly from hate to love. But I love it the most because you know that he’s happy at the end of that chapter, which is what he’s always deserved.

  3. gientsy says:

i loved all the chapters titles because it is so jacob, the chapter titles are funny and you could easily picture him saying it and i liked the last chapter: there are no word for this

  4. Antoinette Hale says:

I liked that title of chapter 18, “There are no words for this”, because if I were Jacob, I would have been speechless during this entire chapter. After everything they had been through together, this was what it was all coming down to.

But more than any of the chapter titles, I loved the preface. “life sucks, then you die”. I thought it was funny because it was such a contrast to the last page of Jacob’s Book. Full 180.

  5. RyRy (Ryan) says:

My favorite chapter title: Well I love all the titles, they’re just so funny, and so Jacob! But If I had to pick it would either be “Sure as Hell didn’t see that one coming” or “Why didn’t I just walk away? OH right, because I’m an idiot” they are both very descriptive and funny, I laughed when I read both of them!

My favorite chapter: The two things at the very top of my things-I-never-want-to-do list. I like this chapter because, of the werewolves, Jacob and Seth are my favorite,(Of the werewolves) and I always knew that Jake was going to be alpha, but I thought Sam was going to have to die, so I’m glad that he didn’t. It was also nice to see Jake standing up for Renesme, even though he didn’t like her, and he was really protecting Bella, it still made me start to like Jake more!

  6. sarah smiles says:

M favorite chapter heading is “sure as hell didn’t see that one coming” I absolutely love that one because it’s so like Jacob to have a one-track mind to do something and than completly change it for the reason that everybody else wants to do whatever it is he wants. Also because he’s right, if i hadn’t read the first book of bella, i would have thought she was really a vampire already or had been killed. I think anyone would have been stunned by what happened. I was certainly stunned, you know what else is funny? I’m on my third time through the book and that’s the chapter i stopped at last night. 🙂

  7. Sa'Misty says:

    Aw man!!! 🙁

I lent my friend my book so I can’t find out the name of this chapter.

Well, I’ll just explain what I liked about it.
Ok, it was the chapter where Jacob found out that Bella had not been changed but that she was really pregnant. Jacob saw how desperate Edward was to try to save Bella, even to the point that Edward even offered to share her with Jacob. I think Jacob has grown up so quick because he doesn’t take advantage of Edwards’s weakness, which is his undying love for Bella.

I just feel that Jacob has really grown up and is no longer little angry sulky Jacob because he like Edward, only cares now about saving Bella.

    Yours,
    Sa’Misty

p.s. *hehehe* I love how Jacob and Rosalie ALWAYS fight. LOL! Like bending to bowl to look like a doggie bowl… Just had to mention how funny that was 😀

  8. Bailey says:

My favorite chapter title was “Why didnt i just walk away? Oh right, because i’m an idiot” i just thought that was totally something jacob would say and it was funny.

My favorite part of the book of jacob was his relationship with rosalie it was hilarious i loved his blonde jokes but the best part would have to be when rosalie made the food dish look like a dog food bowl and eventually jake threw it at her and got food in her hair and they all start laughing hysterically and she is like “You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair.” it is just so funny i really enjoyed jacobs pov as well cause you got to see how much he was hurting over bella.

  9. Kirsty says:

I Love the Chapter title “You know things are bad when you feel guilty for being rude to Vampires” because it shows that he doesn’t actually hate the Cullens (well most of them) as much as he makes out. Also “Waiting for the damn fight to start already” because it is such a typical Jacob thing to say

  10. My Favorite title and chapter from Jacobs POV is “You KNow things are bad when you feel guilty for being rude to vampires” because, the title for the chapter sounds o much like Jacob, and the fact that he feels guilty for being rude to a vampire (his old enemy) just shows how much attached he is to them. One part of the book I liked was the contuning dispute between Jacob and Rosalie. He mentions my favorite blonde joke in this chapter. Jacob: “You know how you drown a blonde, Rosalie? Glue a mirror to the bottom of a pool.” I juts started cracking up when I read this. I also really started hating Rosalie in this book. I know what I am about to mention is not in the chapter, but I just have to say it. The part that i laughed the hardest in Jacobs POV was when he threw the dog bowl at Rosalies head and said “Dumb Blonde” that was a point of victory for me where i just said “HA!” and I love what she said back to him. “You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair.” All in all a great book from Jacobs POV.

  11. Michelle says:

My favorite chapter title was “WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE? THE WIZARD OF OZ? YOU NEED A BRAIN? YOU NEED A HEART? GO AHEAD. TAKE MINE. TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE”. I found humor in the fact that compared to Bella’s chapter titles, Jacob’s chapter titles were so long. His chapter titles were sarcastic, which is why I loved them. I liked that one in particular mostly for its Wizard of Oz reference.

My favorite chapter was “YOU KNOW THINGS ARE BAD WHEN YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR BEING RUDE TO VAMPIRES”. I was glad Jacob was finally getting used to the Cullens. It was hilarious the way he was taking their hospitality, especially Esme’s. I also liked the conversations between Alice and Jacob, because I remember how they first reacted to each other when Alice returned in New Moon. It showed the progress made by Jacob and the Cullens toward each other.

  12. Alfonso says:

My favorite chapter title from Book Jacob has to be “Good Thing I’ve Got A Strong Stomach” because I think it is kinda goofy but it goes so well with the chapter and how he has to like take the challnge of watching someone he cares for drinking blood and do a vampire thing. I really enjoy his chapters. So far his chapter has made me like him more.

  13. liz says:

I like all of them! i dont think i can pick a favorite.

  14. Stacey M. says:

I don’t think I had a favorite chapter…but I loved the title of ALL the chapters. They were totally written in Jacob’s POV. I enjoyed how much Rosalie and Jacob faught. I liked the dog bowl. Totally hillarious! I think that even though Jake and Rose were fighting it was almost like acceptance. I thinkn both knew that the other would do anything to protect Bella and instead of hugging and being nice….they showed their affection for each other by bickering. Ok, I guess I did love the last chapter the best. I thought the birth was riveting and a total page turner. The biggest page turner in the entire book that lead up to what we all wanted!!! I won’t say any further than that. But I will say that I didn’t like how Bell’a face lite up everytime she saw Jacob. That should have been for Edward. Yes, I do know why her face lite up. I won’t say more because I don’t want to ruin the next pod cast. But those looks should have been for Edward.

In this Book of Jacob….the whole time I thought Leah would expose to us the fact that they imprinted. Was it just me or did anyone else think something more romantic would happen to them?

  15. Brianna says:

my favorite chapter title was: “What do i look like? the wizard of Oz? you nedd a heart? you need a brain? take mine, take eveything i have.”

  16. Chance Frerichs says:

my favorite chapter in book II is chapter 10, Why didn’t I just walk away? Oh right, because I am an idiot. I loved this chapter because Jacob finally realizes how even with his feelings towards the Cullens they haven’t officially done anything wrong and deserve the werewolves (shapeshifters) protection just as much as the humans. I love how he thought they should wait and see what the baby became before they did anything serious and how he wouldn’t kill an innocent human over this. It made me doubletake to see Jacob DEFENDING the Cullens and how he finally decided to put all their diffrences aside and settle this racionally (sp?)

  17. LizMarie says:

    My favorite title:
Chapter 10: Why didn’t I just walk away? Oh right, because I’m an idiot. This title made me laugh! But then I was thinking what would have happen if Jacob did walk away? I think if he would have walked away the Cullen would have died. He was the one who warn the Cullen’s and protected them. Also without him Bella wouldn’t have been a Vampire. THANK GOD HE DIDN’T WALK AWAY!!
    My Favorite Chapter:
Chapter 15: Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock
This is one of my favorite chapters… it was so funny! I loved when Rosalie mashed the mixing bowl into a dog bowl and engraved Fido into it! I can picture that happening! The other reason this was my favorite chapter was because it has my favorite quote. The quote is when Jacob throws the dog bowl in the back of Rosalie head!! This make me laugh… but was got me crying from laughing is when Rosalie said “You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair.” It was the best part!!!!

  18. Jessica loves Edward says:

My favorite Jacob chapter title would have to be : “You know things are bad when you feel guilty for a being rude to vampires”
First of all, this one just made me LOL! It’s funny because it’s just so Jacob! He is becoming friends with the vampires, and he seems to be confused because he doesn’t like them. Or does he? That is the question in this chapter.

  19. Bella Jaymes says:

I loved reading this book from Jacob’s POV because it gave you a look into the pack and his sardonic mind. In the first place, i was never really against Jacob but this made me like him more. (Kassie will probably get mad at me for saying that).

i’m sorry, i don’t have my book in front of me because i am passing it around for my friends to read but i loved the tension between him and Rosalie. That was absolutely hilarious to read. It reminds me of my dad and i. we are always teasing each other like that but i can assure that we don’t through plates at each other. i could relate one hundred percent with Jacob during this part.

reading about the growth of Jacob and Edward’s relationship was also something that was interesting to read about. i liked how Edward was absolutely willing to do anything to save Bella and that Jacob wanted the same thing but for a different reason. Renesmee. i liked how he narrated his broken fingers while Edward was injecting her with his venom.

  20. Lisa aka Twihard Mom says:

My favorite part of book Jacob – The Birth of Renesmee! That was my favorite part b/c it showed Edward and Jacob working together to save the woman they both love. Plus Edward totally took charge and became very Carlisle-esque for the delivery.

My least favorite? The Leah and Jacob dialogues. So pointless once we all find out that there is NO imprinting going on in any way, with either of them.

    Lisa aka Twihard Mom

  21. Melissa says:

My favorite chapter title from Jacob’s POV has gotta be “There are no words for this” because that’s exactly how I felt while reading that chapter . . . speechless!!!

That chapter has to be the most engrossed I’ve ever been in a Twilight book. Period. Let me just recap on the craziness that happens! Bella vomits a fountain of blood, the baby breaks her spin, Edward used his teeth to help get the baby out of Bella’s stomach, the baby BITES her, Jacob gets his fingers broke every time we turn around, Edward plunges a syringe of venom in Bella’s heart, and the fight to keep Bella’s heart pumping.

Here ‘s an excerpt from my favorite part of the chapter . . .

“I blew more air into her mouth, but there was nothing pumping her heart, counting, while he worked manically over her, trying to put her back together. All the king’s horses and all the kings men . . . .
but there was nothing there, just me, just him.
    Working over a corpse.
Because that was all that was left of the girl we both loved. This broken, bled-out, mangled corpse. We couldn’t put Bella together again.”

    There are no words indeed.

p.s. I’ve been listening to you guys since the begining!!!!! Keep bringing the Twilight goodness . . . and can’t wait for you guys to talk about The Host again.
    peace.

  22. *Kinsey* says:

My favorite chapter title has to be ” Why didn’t I just walk away? Oh right, because i’m an idiot.” I love the sarcasm and honesty behind this. Reading from Jacob’s point of view made me like the character SOO much more. I am not a Jacob hater any more. haha.

My favorite chapter is ‘What do I look like? The wizard of oz? You need a brain? You need a heart? Go ahead. Take mine. Take everything I have.” I thought Jacob’s vengeful plan was hilarious but how he thought of the car was even better. I also loved how Edward tells Jacob that he doesn’t hate him and that he is a ‘comrad’. I thought it was totally sweet of Edward, but it unfortunately showed how rude Jacob was. My 3rd reason for loving this chapter was because it ended in a cliff-hanger, I couldn’t help but read on.

I didn’t like the chapter “Sure as hell didn’t see that one coming” I totally didn’t see that one coming either! I didn’t like how Edward offered Bella up like he did to Jacob. It made me want to burn the book right then and there. Edward is so protective over Bella but at that instance it was totally opposite.

  23. Kristin says:

My favourite chapter title was “What do I look like? The Wizard of Oz? You need a brain? You need a heart? Go ahead, take mine. Take everything I have.” I like it just because of the dark humor that’s there, plus it compares to favourites of mine: Twilight and the Wizard of Oz.

My favourite part would have been when Jacob imprints because I’m a huge Jacob fan and he deserves happiness, too. But, I mean, come on! Don’t you think it’s just a little odd? Like “Well, Renesmee, see, long ago, I was once in love with your mom and tried to tear your parents apart. Then, I tried to protect you from my former pack, and then helped deliver you. Now, you’re the only one for me.” Although, he would NEVER say that, still, it’s a bit weird. So anyway, after all that ranting, my favorite part, and I’m not sure what chapter(s) it’s in, but was when Jacob broke away from Sam’s pack and formed a new one, with Seth and Leah following. I love all 3 of them, and it really showed Jacob’s independence and maturity.

  24. Danielle says:

My fave chapter Title Name was: You know Its Bad when You Start Feeling Gulity For being Rude to vampiers.

and my fave capter would have to the the very last one. Idk If i should say much about this one. Cuz if u didn’t finish the second book….
so yeah but the last chapter of jakes pov is my fave.
and the last page it why.

  25. Brooke says:

“There are no words for this.”

That’s exactly how most readers felt, I’m sure. There’s this person that you love, going through something you can’t help her with. She’s in pain. And the scene is right out of a horror movie, but it’s not like you can change the channel.

The part that is the most moving to me is when Bella is lying there naked and Jacob thinks about how many times he’s pictured her sans clothes, but it was nothing like the image before him. His best friend, broken, covered in blood and dying and there’s nothing he can do to save her in the end. His sense of hopelessness is overwhelming.

  26. Luna Eclipse says:

My favorite chapter title is “WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE? THE WIZARD OF OZ? YOU NEED A BRAIN? YOU NEED A HEART? GO AHEAD. TAKE MINE. TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE.” I love that title because it really summarizes the whole book for Jacob. He sacrifices alot for Bella, Renesmee and Edward. for instance he sacrifices his membership (I know membership isn’t quite the right word here but it’s the best I could come up with) in Sam’s pack, somthing he really didn’t want to do, to warn the Cullens about the pack coming. Also, the title is really quite sad,and yet you can see the funny side of it also. And through all of that, you can still tell that it’s the authentic Jacob talking by the grim sarcasm.
It also happened to be one of my favorite chapters because it’s the chapter in which he imprints on Renesmee, which makes me super happy, even though up until breaking dawn i was on team Jacob.

  27. Tiffany says:

i like the part when he says “life sucks, and then you die.” thats the preface, right? i thought it was hilarious! it sounds so like jacob…xD

  28. Teri says:

Well, I loved his preface “Life sucks, and then you die.” LOL! Depressing, yes…but I thought it was hilarious. Maybe I’m just morbid or something.

I thought “Too-Much-Information-Alert”…that was funny. And the Wizard of Oz one too. I loved Jacob so much in this book. His sense of humor was needed, big time!

  29. Hannah (AKA:TWIingTooHard) says:

My favourite chapter title was “Some people just don’t grasp the concept of ‘Unwelcome'” because it made me laugh and sounded exactly like something Jacob would say.

My favourite chapter would have to be “What do I look like? The Wizard of Oz?…etc.” because it was the first chapter in the history of the Twilight saga that got me seriously pissed (excuse my french :P) at Edward. I’d never been much of a Jacob fan before BD but it was like I wanted to gouge his eyes out with a spork like some people.
But this chapter really put into perspective how much pain he’s has been going through and I’m sorry to say but it was Bella’s fault. I don’t mind her usually and I see alot of myself in her but she just keeps hurting him over and over again. Someone needs to talk some sense into her and Leah does just that. I know Edward loves Bella and hates seeing her upset but that girl needed a wake-up call. Going all “hissy” on Jake didn’t make anything better.

I’m no sure exactly why i like the fact that Edward annoyed me but for some reason I did…. hmmm

I also thought that the part where Jake had to hang in the car when he found out how long Bella had left was some of Stephenie’s best writing.

  30. Twifanatic Amanda says:

Too much information alert! Hahaha that one just cracked me up…that’s it ^.^

  31. Maritza says:

So I dont have a favorite Chapter……I read the first book in one go…….then I got REALLY UPSET and was telling my husband that I did not want to read about Jacobs point of view I wanted to keep reading from Bella…..It was close to midnight so I went to bed…..the next morning I started reading Jacobs book I could not stop….WOW I love the whole book…..

But my favorite part of reading the whole book was find out where the quotes came from I got a big laugh out of all the quotes nothing remotely close to what I thought it would be except when Bella asks Jasper about the Bachellor Party and that was funny what they where actually going to go do………….

Here are my two favorite quotes from the last chapter of Jacobs book……..” Warm brown eyes, the color of milk chocolate–the exact same color that Bella’s had been.

My shaking jerked to a stop; heat flooded through me, stronger than before, but it was new kind of heat–not a burning.

    It was a glowing”

“A million steel cables all tying me to one thing–to the very center of the universe.”

I wont give more away………..Cant wait for you next podcast LOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM

    You Girls ROCK!!!!!

I thought Jacobs book was the best part of breaking dawn! I didn’t like him until I read it and then I realised I didn’t have a reason for disliking him from the beggining. Probably the only reason I didn’t like was because he tried to replace Edward but since New Moon Jacob has been kind, funny and stuck by Bella despite her bloodsucking family and other problems! I don’t think I can choose my favourite chapter -ther were all really exciting. I loved the titles, the humour – it’s important to lighten the mood when your best friend is being eaten alive from the inside.

  34. Fleur says:

My fav chapter of Jacob’s pov was ‘Too-much-information alert’ because we finally get to understand what Leah Clearwater is going through with the whole thing with Sam imprinting on Emily. Jacob finally understands that they have that connection, as they’ve both been let down by the people they love. Also, Leah tells Jacob that he shouldn’t fight for Bella, just be there for her, and want her to be happy, and help her make the right decisions. I liked this, as I’m 110% team Edward, so it made Jacob lay off Bella 😀
Also, Leah helps Jacob undertand that this baby means alot to Bella, as she’s a mother, and Leah understands where Rosalie is coming from, as Leah has never thought herself as maternal, as she’s the only female wolf.
I’ve always been curious about how Leah feels, and this made me understand her, it also made me like Jacob a bit more, as he finally felt like he just wanted Bella to be happy.

I also like the chapter when Renseeme is born, as Edward and Jacob finally get to work as a team to save Bella. 🙂

  35. Kelly says:

I love them ALL, there is no option of narrowing them down for me! I love them because they explain Jacob! They just really fit him and explain him and his thoughts. I am so glad SM did that because I am totally Edward but now I understand Jake and don’t hate him!

  36. Kelly says:

I love them ALL, there is no option of narrowing them down for me! I love them because they explain Jacob! They just really fit him and explain him and his thoughts. I am so glad SM did that because I am totally Edward but now I understand Jake and don’t hate him! 🙂

  37. jenna476b says:

Favorite chapter title: WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE? THE WIZARD OF OZ? YOU NEED A BRAIN? YOU NEED A HEART? GO AHEAD. TAKE MINE. TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE. I cracked up when I read this and just thought it was such a clever title and I could just hear Jacob screaming this while he was lashing out irrationally at someone, like always.

Favorite chapter is TOO MUCH INFORMATION ALERT because I loved how Leah opened up to Jacob about seeing Rosalie’s point of view. I felt like they had a major bonding moment and we all (including Jacob) were able to know Leah and understand her more. I love how Stephenie waits to reveal each character in their own time and we finally have that chance to really know that character. When this happens I also love seeing the effect it has on the relationships between the characters and how it strengthens them. This chapter was Leah’s turn, and I loved getting to know Leah in this chapter and seeing her and Jacob connect.

Also, in this chapter Edward heard the baby’s thoughts for the first time, and even though I’m not a huge fan of the “baby” plot that the story took off on, I couldn’t help but feel happy with them.

  38. Tiffany says:

“WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE? THE WIZARD OF OZ? YOU NEED A BRAIN? YOU NEED A HEART? GO AHEAD. TAKE MINE. TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE”. this was my fav chapter title because it shows that jake is willing to give people what he has in porder to save bella because he loves her <3
i also like “there are no words for this” because when you read the chapter title, it makes you think OME what’s going to happen? and everything comes together at this point, jake imprints an dbella becomes a vampire!

  39. Laura says:

I pick ‘Sure as hell didn’t see that coming’, because I sure as hell saw nothing that happened in this book coming, hehe. You go Stephenie! The element of suprise is always the best. When I read that chapter title it was like Jake had taken the words right out of my mouth.
By the way, I, like Kallie, had been a Jacob ‘disliker’ (to put it nicely) before BD, but after reading the book I did a complete turn around and I really like Jacob now. 🙂

  40. Asia says:

my favorite chapter title is probably “some people just don’t grasp the concept of “‘unwelcome.’ ” i just think it’s hiarious and it’s so jacob to say something like that. my favorite chapter is “there are no words for this.” it’s so amazing that even after how bella went on and on about how she thought it would be a boy, it turned out to be a girl. and the fact that jacob imprinted on her daughter, renesmee, was such a huge relief for me. i was so worried that jacob would be left and alone or something. so i’m really glad that he has someone.

  41. Destane says:

I love them ALL 🙂 they explain Jake perfectly and all the titles were just funny to me because i could totally see him saying all of it cuz its sooo Jacob!! as everyone else said i loved the fighting between him and Rose because it reminds me of me and my brothers relationship. this was probably my fav book in all of BD because we get to be in Jakes head and because he just so AWESOME! of course he’s always been awesome and always had a great personality 🙂

  42. Callie Cullen says:

My favorite chapter title was “What do I look like? The Wizard of Oz? You need a heart? You need a brain? Go ahead. Take mine. Take everything I have.
I just love how Jacob is so snarky. This book allowed me to actually like him (I hated him more than Cassie before) because I could hear all the snarky sarcastic comments in his head (which I know is a really bad reason to like someone, but whatever)

    My favorite chapter was Too-much-information-alert.
I really liked how Jacob was able to help Leah hunting by sort of connecting their minds more than normal. Also, the conversation they had before/after that about the-pack-of two/imprinting/not being able to have babies. I really felt for Leah and Rosalie after hearing all that. I know that I really want to have children and as far as I know, I AM able to, so I can’t imagine what I would do if I was in their shoes.
Plus, at the end of the chapter, Edward heard the baby’s thoughts and I thought that was just the sweetest thing ever.

  43. sissy says:

favorite title: WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE? THE WIZARD OF OZ? YOU NEED A BRAIN? YOU NEED A HEART? GO AHEAD. TAKE MINE. TAKE EVERYTHING I HAVE.
that was so heart-wrenching. i mean, of course the whole jacob book was sad. but this chapter title was so sad its self.

favorite chapter: TICK TOCK TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
i’m not sure why i liked this one exactly.
well, there are some pretty hilarious rosalie-jacob funnies in there =P
i guess everything kinda wraps up (before the ‘big’ moment)
bella and jacob have some honesty talk, there’s a lot of seth (who i love very much), and they sort of have a better closer clue as to what the baby is.

i also like it, because my friend read the end of this chapter and called me around 1 in the morning to say “omg is the baby a werewolf?!?!” rotfl =)

  44. Meghan P says:

My favorite chapter title was Chapter 14: You Know Things Are Bad When You Feel Guilty For Being Rude To Vampires. I loved that and thought it was really funny when I read it.

As for my favorite chapter from Jacob’s point of view, I’d have to say it was his last chapter, number 18 titled There Are No Words For This. I thought this had tons of action and raw emotion. It was all so unexpected and had my heart racing on every page. I felt exactly how Jacob felt the entire time and knew how angry he was first at Renesmee for possibly killing Bella. The ending was also spectacular, making me gasp aloud. I couldn’t believe that he imprinted on Renesmee and I was just shocked, waiting to see what happened next. I thought this was an extremely important chapter since Bella’s life was on the line and Jacob got to be there to help Edward try to save her. I also liked seeing how Edward handled it and seeing tense he seemed when Jacob couldn’t help anymore. I imagined everything perfectly in my mind and I loved how everything was worded.

  45. sarah says:

ok so in all three books, i absolutly hated jacob, and im surprised to find, that because of his pov, hes become my favorite character, i like all of his pov chapters. its nice not to hate him and know that he doesnt hate edward or bella or anyonee.

    it was niceee :]

  46. Kallie,
you have really made me think this week, I think this is my first time Ever that I do not have an answer to your question, all I can say is that book 2 is my favorite part of the whole book, I loved and felt all the emotions that are Jacob black, I cried, got angry, depressed, and happy with Jacob all the way to the end of book 2. To me book 2 is the part of the story that is most graspable to me. Because I finally understand Jacob Black and got surprised at how much this character thinks like ME! {more than Bella even!} What I guess I am trying to say is that, well heck I will just stop being proper and say it like Jacob just says how he feels, I just can’t do IT!

It is amazing how graspable these characters are I actually fell sorry that I ever said anything bad about Jacob!

I understand exactly where he is coming from and like Stephenie said he is just a kid thrown in an adult type situation!

    I just LOVE Jacob Black { and I am jealous of Renesmee Carlie Cullen “Black in the future”}

Let me start off by saying, I loved the preface for Jacobs POV! Though, by the end of his book, his life seems to be a little bit better. I had thought that Jacob had imprinted on Bella during New Moon, for sure, but it turned out that he had imprinted on her baby, which is really weird if you think about it.

Anyway, my favorite chapter was ‘why didn’t I just walk away? oh right, because I’m an idiot.’ It seems to me that in this chapter, Jacob finally has an insight into Edward and Bella’s relationship, knowing that Edward would do anything for Bella. Bella, to me, seems like a love-struck teenager in this chapter with the attachment to the ‘baby’. Its funny that Jacob won’t take any of her crap and tells her flat out. They act like brother and sister. This chapter also shows that even though Jacob is trying to forget about Bella and move on, he really does care about her. Over-all, I thought that this chapter was sweet.

Sorry for the lengthy answer, but I have never been on Team Jacob (and still am not) but I hated Jacob in New Moon, he was so rude. His POV really gave me an idea of what was going on in his head, and I’m glad Stephenie did that or I would finish the series still hating Jacob. By the way, I love your podcast, it’s the best I’ve found and the only one I subscribe to on iTunes! Keep up the great work! =D

    Heyy Kallie && Kassie!!

this is a tough question…as soon as i started the book of jacob i was like what the?? whats with the titles…then they all started to make me LOL but My favourite chapter title would probably be ‘what do I look like? the wizard of oz? you need a brain? you need a heart? go ahead, take mine, take everything I have.

I am a diehard team Edward all the way, but this title actually made me feel sorry for jacob, everyone had a partner except him, and he felt as if something was wrong with him as most pack members had imprinted except for him. I think this is the chapter where edward gives him his car and he goes out to try and find someone to imprint on? anyway, I found that quite cute that he went to all that trouble, but then he found himself pointing out all the similarites in everyone and comparing them to Bella, which made him sadder, which i’m sure made all the readers feel sad and sorry for him.

anyway I love the podcast, keep up the awesome work!
