Why are they only putting people I’ve never heard of on the soundtrack? I don’t think I live in a cave but perhaps I must to not know anybody at all.

They need to put some The Spill Canvas on the soundtrack. Half the songs that they already have are completely Twilight related. Especially “This is for Keeps” there was rumor that I heard that the song was actually about a vampire and I think it is. But WOW! it seems like some of these musicians are really getting on the vampire bandwagon. Oh, how I can’t wait….maybe something else will move and it’ll come out earlier! (Hey, a girl can only hope! :D)

One of the things I think has been great about the enitre Twilight establishment, at least so far, has been the fact that they have chosen mostly unknowns, lesser known or non mainstream people for this project. No giant big name actors/actresses, no superstar household name director. Even the ‘kid’ who did the photo shoot for the promo posters is relatively unknown unless you are in the business, and maybe not even then!! They may be classifyed as rising stars, but lets face it…..this movie has the potential, for everyone involved, to boost thier popularity and demand 10 fold what it is now. I think that is a great opportunity Summit is providing to some talented people. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Summit is a smaller company (on a realative basis)and they couldn’t afford the big name stars of the bizz. We know the story is a great one and well loved. To insure their profit they could have gone out and found a way to bring in the names we all know and respect. But instead we have the opportunity to gain a new appreciation for a whole new batch of talented stars that span from the musicians, actors, directors, photographers and more. I am sure they are grateful to Summit and the fans for the chance to show us what they can do. Lets give them ALL a chance to show us what their talents before we pass judgement. You will never know what your new favorite is until you give it that first chance.

Doesn’t anybody know Jane’s Addiction? Man, I feel old! It’s Perry Farrell!

THIS is really, really exciting, for the soundtrack. As a mid-twenties, twilight and nineties alternative music fan (and someone who almost bowled perry farrell over in a crosswalk once) this is much more exciting than Paramore (who i also like! but this is big!!)

If you don’t know Perry Farrell, listen to “Jane Says”, “Mountain Song” “Been Caught Stealin” by Jane’s Addiction, and “Tahitian Moon” and “Pets” (which, incidentally is KEY to my Host playlist) by Porno for Pyros
