1. I have to see Bella fall down the stairs and through a window.
2. I can live without the airport scene in the VERY Beginning when Renee is dropping Bella off @ the airport.
One thing that definately has to be in the movie is the part where Jacob comes during their prom to talk to Bella. I just think that would be way cool to see. As well as the part before the baseball scene when Edward takes Bella to his house to meet the family. More specifically where we get to see Edwards room and his collection of music. Oh and of course when Bella tries to flirt with Jacob to get info on Edward.
If I’m being honset I cant really say what I could stand to miss in the movie. Im pretty cool with the flexibility that has to go into adapting a book to film. But one thing I think I could be ok with missing is the blood typing scene. Im so not a fan of needles! lol
Ok ok, so for me I would really like to see three things in the movie.
1. Edward and the rest of the Cullens seeing the video that James made in the ballet studio.
I know it wasnt in the book, (being in Bella’s POV and all) but I feel that it would be really cool to see the his reaction, plus Alice’s reaction to James knowing who she is. It just seems like a good idea I mean I can just picture them in the waiting room or something watching that while Bella is sleeping or something. (I just gave myself the chills LOL).
2. This one is kinda a dumb request but I have this little bet with my friend about Edwards piano. When reading it I pictured the piano white (because the room is white.. so it makes sense) she on the other hand pictured it black. So for me I would love to see the piano white (except if its black I will be ok with that)
3. All the guys asking Bella to prom, hilarious!!! (enough said)
I can live without Bella going dress shopping with the Angela and Jessica (I could be wrong on the humans sorry if I am) and the time when Bella was in the hotel with Alice and Jasper. I felt those times were just plain boring and I dont mind to see them cut.
Great Podcast!!!
Love
Sarah L. aka Team Nessie
1. I really want the ride back from Port Angeles in the movie because it is such an important time in their relationship. It’s the first time Edward has his guard down for Bella and is answering her questions.
2. I could live without the week that Edward isn’t there. Okay they can show like one day of him not being there but don’t drag it on and on. That would be a waste of valuable film time! Oh yea and when she’s stuck in the hotel waiting for Edward. That is the worst part of the book for me.
i think there needs to be a scene in the movie where Edward watching Bella sleep. I think that is so important to the begining stage of thier relationships. Because she talks in her sleep it is the only time Edward can see what is going on in her head especially with all her insecurites.
I cant think of a scene i can live without. I know they have to cut out some, but i cant think of one!
Love the podcast!
1. Edward watching Bella sleep
2. The confrontation in the hospital
3. The Prom scene with Jake
4. The whole Port Angeles scene
5. The first time they had lunch together
* some of the scenes i listed i already know were filmed i hope they are put in the movie
So, the thing that I absolutely have to see in the movie is the meadow scene. This scene, the famous 13th chapter, is one of the most crucial scenes in the book - it’s where Edward + Bella start. Well, yeah, the first part of the story is Edward and Bella, but not Edward + Bella together, if you know what I mean. In this scene, Edward is so… unrestrained. And Bella is so openminded. Both of them are so honest and here they really let their love for each other come into play. Some of the most memorable Twilight lines come from this chapter, too (my favorite being: and so the lion fell in love with the lamb). And, obviously, it is their first ever kiss. I mean, if that is not important, then I don’t know what is. I already know that they are putting this is the movie, but I’m worried that they can’t capture the scene correctly. If the movie makers cannot film it just right, then I would be really disappointed. Of course, it can’t be exactly as I myself had pictured it, but I do hope that they make the dialogue and passion between Edward and Bella intense and real.
Anyway, love your guys’ podcast. Can’t wait until the next one!
wow that’s probably your hardest question of the week yet, that’s because for me there’s no part in the book that i could really be will to give up. The story would just be off then, but thats a screen writters job so most lickely they took out the part that could be taken out and it would just run smoothly for us.
Well the sceen that i think is the most improtant is the first time in the cafiteria when Edward and Bella’s eyes first meet, well i guess it’s not that important but i think it’s nesicary.
NOw here’s the hard part, what scene could i live with out? let me think … … … … … … … I would have to go with how Bella hates that speed of being on Edward’s back while he’s running. I picked this because there’s more imoportant scences that there going to need time to do, andif you take this out it wouldn’t mess up the story.
So sorry - I didn’t read the part about what scene I could live without.
The scene that I could live without would have to be where Bella is wandering through the forest, figuring out that Edward is a vampire. Since this movie wont feature Bella’s thoughts being said out loud to the audience, it would be really boring to see her walking through the woods and sitting on a tree trunk, thinking.
I know that that scene would probably be left out already, but the other scenes seem more important to the story.
Okay, ladies, seriously… I think I have some beef with you! I love y’all to pieces but I must say I’m shocked! Are you really going to read and discuss things from the actual Twilight script? What shocks me is you won’t read Midnight Sun but you’ll blow open the Twilight script before the movie comes out. I hope I misunderstood, and it sounded like you might just speculate what will/will not be in the movie. I don’t want to sound mean–I’m not! I’m a faithful listener and I click your topsite button several times a day, but I was really surprised you’d read one but not the other. (I’d LOVE to hear a few shows on Midnight Sun, that’s why I’m so earnest about this!)
Oh, and Stephenie is a patron in a restaurant scene in the movie.
To actually answer the question….
There MUST be the Port Angeles scene, because that’s when all the tension melts into affection for them both and can make the Meadow scene possible, which also MUST be in there. I’m sure everyone will agree to those scenes. Biology class, yes; blood typing day, yes; so on and so forth.
As for what I could do without…. Actually, I’m probably one of the few, if any, who has never really grasped the baseball scene. I understand that when they can shed the human facade and let their hair down and not limit themselves, a physical game like baseball must seem quite a relief. But I have a hard time with all these perfectly gorgeous vampires who wear designer labels and don’t make a wrong move suddenly dawning frumpy baseball uniforms and enjoying the American pasttime. I actually kind of cringe when I see the pictures of the actors in the pinstripe uniforms. It’s just so…un-Edward. So, even though there’s no chance of it happening, I’d omit the baseball scene and have the Cullens run into the nomads in a different method. Don’t ask me what that scenario would be–that’s the screen writer’s job! I hope the baseball scene in the movie in INCREDIBLE so I’m finally sold on it.
1I think that what really, really has to be in the movie is Edward’s charm. I know it’s probably not really what your asking, but I’m being honest. Edward wouldn’t be Edward without his irristable charm. And without Edward, there is no Twilight, and with no Twilight there is no movie.
2Okay, the meadow scene absolute HAS to be in the movie. If it isn’t I honestly, might just die. Or at leaste leave the theator. One of those. It’s just so important….and I love it.
~Meg
1. The thing that absolutely needs to be in the movie for me isn’t a seen its more of Edward’s habits, Edward always has his arm around Bella’s waist it is absolutely burned into my memory its a mark of his protection for her. Whenever I imagine Edward and Bella he always has his arm around her waist. The other thing that has to be kept in is how Edward kisses Bella’s neck and colar bone its such a powerful and sensual image that I connect with Edward and Bella.
2. I think that the movie can live without the part where the Cullens aren’t in schhol because it’s sunny outside (or at least part of it) This scene would just go on forever and there are so many more important parts that should be included.
Okay the Scene I absolutely have to see in the Movie Is:
PORT Angeles….hands down
this by far has to be the most shocking scene in the entire book and i just love it
I Definately could live without:
Bella researching on the internet about vampires, it really isnt that crucial of a part
But regardless, i cant wait for the movie, its going to be awesome!
Love the podcast ladies,
Cynthia
OF COURSE THE MEADOW!!! hahahahha well, i want to see ANY part of Edward and Bella’s interactions, and maybe even the part where Bella goes to the Cullen’s house.
I could live WITHOUT the tension. i can see myself just going CRAZY over the parts where Bella thinks Edward hates her. I WOULD ME SCREAMING!!!
as you can see, i have lots to look foward too, i love love LOVE your podcast and i hope the movie wont dissapoint!
well…the scene that HAS to be in the movie is THE MEADOW SCENE!! its the best scene in the book && its when Edward and Bella first Kiss and it becomes their special place.
I think they could leave out some of the scenes where Bella trips over all the time. Yes it’s part of her character to be clumsy but it sometimes gets a bit annoying and I think they should leave some of the trips out. But of course they need to leave some in lol
What im worried about is not if they cut things out im just scared that all of my favourite parts will be cut short. In my ideal world the book ould be the script but one thing i am especcially hoping they put in is when edward first composes bella’s lulluby for esme (that bit is acctually from midnight sun but who cares) . One thing i could live without seeing in this movie is when bella does all that reckess flirting with jacob at the beach because i felt sorry for him (even though i am definately team edward all the way). Love the podcast guys!
P.S. if you guys see rob at the premiere in L.A. can you ask him to marry me? THX
1. Meadow scene
2. First time he stays over Bellas
3. When Bella says she loves him and when Edward tells Bella he loves her
4. The last hospital scene(it’s so sweet:) )
5. First time they see each other
6. The whole blood typing chapter
7. Port Angeles
1) First Sight
2) first Biology lab together( aka “Open Book” chapter)
3) PORT ANGELES! the whole chapter!
4) where Edward and Bella confront each other after Bella is dispatched from hospital after being saved from van
5) MEADOW SCENE
6) first time Edward invited Bella to sit with him alone at lunch
7) the whole blood typing thing Clair de Lune
9) the song “Time is Running Out” by Muse. that inspired Stephenie Meyer!
10) “Your hair looks like a haystack. But I like it.” lol. sorry that was random. but still.
that’s all i can think of now.
oh! their first kiss, definitely. i wonder how they’re going to make spunk ransom’s skin sparkle. CGI, perhaps?
OK, so I really have to see the intense chemistry between my husband, Edward, and Bella portrayed well. That is so vital to the story, it would not be worth reading without the love scenes. Also, when they first kiss. It made my heart melt when I read that part.
I think that I could live without the whole Mike thing. Mike Schmike. Who needs him when you have my husband, Edward? Also I don’t want so much Charlie. Charlie can’t do anything, he just sits on the couch watching baseball while Bella is his slave. I can just imagine him calling Bella to open his beer because he can’t reach it- it’s on the other end of the coffee table.
>The first time they had lunch together
>The confrontation in the hospital
>The Prom scene with Jake
>The whole Port Angeles scene
>Edward watching Bella sleep
1. I Cannot Live Without My Favorite Part, Where She Wakes o And Says You Stayed An Leaps Into His Lap! And Edward Says Your Hair Looks Like a Haystack, But I Like It! That is My Favorite Scene EVER. I Hope They Do That, Even If They Don’t Ill Be 0-k I Guess
2. They Extra Scene, At The Beginning When Billy And Jacib Give Her Her Truck, I Don’t Think That is Neccasary.
i can’t live without them showing the first time edward sleeps over. its one of my favorite parts in the book and i hope it turns out good. also any scene involving edward missing a piece of clothing i can FOR SURE not live without.
i can live without any scene involving jacob. seriously.
I couldn’t live without the meadow scene it’s my absolute favorite scene, and I love when Edward says ” And so the lion fell in love with the lamb” ( Sorry if I didn’t quote it exactly but you know what I am talking about). I would be dissapointed if that scene didn’t make it in. Although if they some how captured the different emotions that went on then I wouldn’t be too sad because that is the most important part ( along with the kiss but that just goes without saying ) . I know many probably had this answer, I tried not to read them on my way down, but it really is the best scene in the book! Also when Edward says he loves Bella for the first time in thoughs exact words is soooooo awesome and I really hope that they will like make it so he says it a little while after Bella says it, because I think it means a little more than if he just said I love you too right after she said I love you.
I could live without ( this is really difficult because I love every single scene) the day when they do blood typing. It just wouldn’t make a very big difference if it were taken out. I think it is cute and sometimes funny but doesn’t do much for the plot of the story. Ouch that was painful to write because like I said before I love every scene and I know some scenes are going to be condenced and I’m alright with that because like I saw the grenhouse scene and I loved it. They are going to do a fantastic job with the movie regaurdless . Kristen and Rob are going to do a fantastic job , so will the rest of the cast but those two will make or break the movie.
Sorry if my answer was really long, I love the podcast!
I can live without some things, like Bella reading that book that had all those names that were either close to or actually were Edward. But I can’t live without Mike, Tyler, and Eric all asking Bella to the dance in all the same day! That was just too funny.
I want to see how Edward sneaks into her room. I guess this part is also crucial to the story line because is shows how Edward fought off his urge or instinct to bit her as she lay there on her bed unconsciously and how he wonder silently why he can’t ‘hear’ her.
It is just creepy in real life to know someone is watching you on your sleep. XD
I am hoping some of cuter lines from the book survived the adaptation. I would love to hear Robert Pattinson say, “If I could dream and at all, it would be about you.” and “What if I’m not the super hero? What if I”m the bad guy?” I know it is not possible for the book to survive line by line, but I hope some of the more memorable lines make it into the movie.
I know everything from the book can’t make it, and I can live without some of the scenes that don’t act as huge plot catalysts. We don’t absolutely need to see every time Bella trips, every Biology class, and every single gym class. I love Twilight and want to see a fantastic movie, and i think little changes like this would help the movie to continuously move.
well…
those are good questions… my answer would be:
1. the “lion and the lamb” Dialogue between Edward and Bella because it just summs up what the book is about
2. porbably Jessicas and Bellas oh so long conversaton about the spring dance and Mike Newton. i don’t like that guy… even though Mike Welch is awesome!!!!!!!!!
You guys are geniuses!!!!!!! keep up the great work.
sending hugs all across the ocean
Lisa
1. there has to be when during their first kiss she has the exact same reaction to him.and when edward meets charlie.
2. i can live without her lonly dinners with charlie and the silent conversations.
1.) the first time edward stays while she sleeps and bella knows he is there.
2.) i can live without the airport scene in the begining, when bella gets droped of to go to forks.
1)I have to see the La Push scence, the nightmare and when she looks at the internet, when Jaaob tells her about the legends, because that makes the book, because without that scene, she would of never found out about them being vampires.
The meadow scene, because it’s goodddd
When she first meets the Cullens
AND
when Edward watches her sleep (:
2) I can’t choose, to me all the scenes are important.
Hi,
I think that the car scene after the ball game should be in the movie, because this is when Edward, Bella, Alice, and Emmett decide how to save Miss Bella Swan. Something that could be left out is some of the first day class scenes, I like them but, they could probably be left out. I’m only 12 so I’m hoping my parents will let me see the movie! I’ve mentioned it many times, but haven’t gotten around to to straight out asking yet. ha ha ha. Anyway this is what I think.
A scene that absolutely needs to be in the movie is the part where Bella is being followed by the men and Edward speeds to her side and rescues her and the scene afterward where he’s telling her how he would love to kill the men.
A scene I can live without is where Bella and Charlie are in the car talking, on their way to Forks from Port Angeles, when she first arrives.
1.)I have to see the Port Angeles scene,I mean this is the part where Bella like does the 20 questions to ge Edward to tell her he is a vampire,oh and f course the scene where Alice and Jasper appear and Edwards door and Alice says we thought you were having Bella as a snack and wanted to know if you would share that part was pretty good.I also would love to see Bella flirting with Jacob!!And I just have to see when Edward says and so the lion falls in love with the lamb.
2.)I can live without Jacob going to the Prom,Renee takig Bella to the airport, and Edwards week gone.
I think what HAS to make it in the movie is… the dinner in Port Angeles, because that’s were we find out pretty much everything, or the meadow scene, because it’s were they’re truly being thereself.
I don’t know what I could live without , GOD, this weeks questions are hard.
What I hope they cut out is the scenes where the vampires are hunting the animals. I don’t think we need to see too much of that…….I don’t want the movie to be gross or obseen.
ok,
1. i think if there is a chapter title for the event it should be in the movie (i.e. chapter 5, Blood Type)
2. i think the events could b shortened for time like the blood typing, ok edward is ditching, bella gets woozy, edward comes to save her because she’s layng on the sidewalk, and that makes mike jealous, edward takes bella home after they go to the nurse, see…shortened.
i just want to see what the producers came up with, and i want to see it soon…ugh…november 21…its so far away!
1. What I really want and better be in the movie is a really small scene that most people might not think about. I really loved it when after the meadow Edward and Bella go back home and he stays with her. I thought that was one of the most romantic scenes and the cutest in the whole book. But my favorite is when Bella wakes up and Edward tells her that her hair looks like a haystack and he likes it, very hilarious. But they BETTER put in the part where she asks about what she says in her sleep and Edward tells her that she said she loves him. Those parts were my favorite in the book, besides the whole meadow scene of course. It just showed how much they really love each other and how they were finally able to say it and express it.
2. I think the whole book is crucial, but it would be impossible to fit it into one movie so I think all the phone conversations between her and Jessica could be cut. I just can’t think of any part that I could be satisfied of if they cut it.
1. This may sound strange to some people, but I actually like the Port Angeles part better then the Meadow scene. Shocker I know!! That being said, I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THE PORT ANGELES PART!!! but i’ll probably die a million times over if they don’t put the meadow scene in, but i know they are so i don’t have to worry!!
2. What I can live without??? Hmm… let’s see… Take your pick: maybe the scene w/ Bella and her mom at the airport, but they can absolutely NOT take out any scenes w/ Edward, and not just because I LOVE him but because every scene w/ him is incredibly crucial and important to the plot. Bella saying bye to her mom: not so much.
1.) bottom of page 318 when Edward’s kiss makes Bella faint …that must be in the movie, it’s funny and romantic and it’s so relative to their relationship, now that they have openly declared their love for each other and let their guard down about their true feelings after spending the day together in the meadow.
2.) Leave out some of the “Bella doing things on her own” like going to the grocery store, etc., those could be implied by showing her unpack groceries we don’t actually need to watch her shopping in the store.
1) I HAVE TO see where Edward was being mean on purpose. What is this part you ask? Well it’s when Bella was trying to get out of school and Edward parks in the middle of the read so that Tyler has a chance to ask her to the dance
I would just pay to see the devious look on his face
2) I could live with out the first chapter where she is getting dropped off at the airport by her mom… just not that interesting
I am a very picky person, so my answer may be a long one
First of all, i cannot live without
a) the meadow scene (like everyone else answering this question)
b) Bella kissing Edward for the first time (*swoon*)
c) That line the first morning after the meadow scene where Bella jumps into Edward’s arms after waking up and says “Edward you stayed!” that was just so sweet
and
d) seeing James ripped to pieces, that was so freakishly cool, quite amazing ( i’m a freak :-))
Secondly, i can live without
a) seeing Bella take a shower
b) seeing Bella throw a fit in the car on the way to prom (that was a little childish, i must say)
and
c) I can live without all those scenes with Bella all alone, it’s not that they were terribly boring, just not very interesting, i wouldn’t mind them being cut
1. the hotel and airport scene at the end of the book i think would be great to on screen. When i was reading it my stomach was upside down the whole time and i couldn’t put the book down. I think it was just do emotional for everyone and right before Bella got to see Edward again, she decided to run away and get herself almost killed. For some reason i really can’t wait to see (on screen) Jasper’s expression when Bella wants him to take her to the restroom at the airport instead of Alice, Jasper is just so cute. I think the scenes where Bella is in the cab and running down the sidewalk to get to the dance studio will be great to see, Kristen Stewart is such a good actor.
2. i don’t think anything should be left out. I know as a reader of the books i will be upset if they leave anything out.
I think most of the key essential scenes that happen to be my favorites are in the movie, and have been reported as being in the movie.
Some things that I can live without are the length of some of the scenes. Like, when Bella, Alice, and Jasper are at the hotel. That just goes on and on. THey can cut some of that. And also some other little scenes that aren’t necessary to the story.
1. They have to have the scene where Edward is “messing” with Bella’s mind before the go out to the clearing to play baseball. Where he is trying to get her to to ride on his back again.
2. I could do without alot of the scenes where the Cullens aren’t in school due to it being sunny outside.
1. What do you think HAS to make it from the book to the movie?
I think the whole part with Edward ‘crying’ over Bella being unconcious from James needs to be added. The romance in that whole chapter makes my heart swell every time. Also, the phone call from Edward to Bella when she’s away with Jasper and Alice. That’s a fantastic part.
2. What can you live without?
I find pretty much every part of the book important, but if I had to choose…it would probably be when Jacob shows up at the prom. I don’t care too much. Just when Edward is angry about how Jacob called Bella pretty.
Whoops! I misread the second questioin.(Mine was number 11)
I definatly could live without….I really don’t know. I just sat here for like twenty minuets thinking and I really couldn’t think of anything I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t in the movie. I just want all of it!
1.Totally the Port Angeles part. Im pretty sure it will be in the movie but if it isn’t then that will be a mistake not putting it in. Edward tells Bella he’s a vampire, so that is an important scene.
2. I could live without jacob, nahh im just kiddin, i love jacob (but not as much as edward!) I could live without the part where jacob comes to the prom and tells bella all that crap, but I love it when edward is mad that jacob only called her pretty. I love every part of the book, but that part was frustrating!!!!!!!!
1. I can’t live without the first time Edward says “I love you” to Bella, and it has to been at the right time and place. If you have forgotten it was when Edward and Bella were on there way to the baseball field.
2. I could live without Jacob.
1. HAVE to include james being destroyed-it is the bestest bit in the book!! play up the action and violence!!
2. can live without an overshow of soppy or corny scenes!! seriously if the movie is corny i will never read any of the books again!! the action/fantasy bits are so WAY the best bits in the book!! tho i really really hate robert pattinson-so play up jacobs role!! lol!
Hey Girls!!
1. The Meadow and ballet scene are very important to me. I know they are in the movie already, but I hope the actors and the Writers did their best to potray these critical scences. I want to see a lot of emotion and intensity in both these scenes. Prom is another scene I have to see. Hopefully Kristin can act like Bella did showing the shock of having to dance infront of people. Any Bella and Edward scene should not be cut.
2. I think the airport scne could go (as long as people know why she came to Forks in the First place).
Okay, so i have heard so many people say things like, “Its not going to be true to the book!” and “Oh my gosh why would they make a movie, they are just going to let us all down.” but heres my quick take on all this, I think that all the little changes, and new little bonuses are going to make and amazing story even better, I think that with a story like this where you can expand on so much, it would be terrible for them not to branch out and extend a little.
I really want to see James hunting just an innocent bystander, i know that sounds kinda twisted, but you never get a sense of how much of a threat he is until the ballet studio scene, so i think it would make things… more intense. And for some reason i think this film will be a little different, because it will probably still be told from Bellas’ perspective, but then there are all the add ins from Edwards side, like when he is alone with Emmett and he says “This is wrong Edward, she’s not one of us” so i don’t think it will be mainly from her side so some people might eat that up, while others will get mad. I’m so excited for this movie, and i get all bubbly everytime i watch the trailers! AHH can’t wait
ok without some scenes the movie would be a disaster .
1) first kiss
2)second kiss were she faints
3) bella being stalked and edward saving her
4)the questions about vampires and humans
5)the dinner
6) the meadow
7)the phone call (cry)
8)and when edward is screaming bellas name and begging for her not to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love that
there the scenes that make twilight, twilight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One part that should make it to the movie from the book, is of course the whole meadow scene, and the part after the meadow when they are back at the truck. Another scene that belongs in the movie is the part right before Edward and Bella go to the field to play baseball. I love how he talks to her and how he just “dazzles” her. One scene I would like to see in the movie, but could live without is where he saves Bella from the group of guys in Port Angeles. I have other parts but they all come from the other books. I’m so excited about the movie!! I Know I wont be disappointed!! I can’t wait for it to come out!!!!
Hey,
I’m Sirley from Estonia First of all I love your podcast…yours and Imprint are my favourite
1) I really would like to see Eric-Mike-Tyler asking Bella to the prom, and her being annoyed with it, and also this would include the Port Angeles shopping scene where Bella discovers what Tyler has been telling everybody and the exchange between Bella and Edward when she tells him in the car that she’d like to run over Tyler so he wouldn’t feel guilty….lol. That would be great comic relief.
2) Its hard to say what I could live without…as I wouldn’t mind having everything in the movie But if I’d have to choose then most probably when Bella’s reading or writing to Renee. It’s not that I would have anything against those scenes, but I wouldn’t particularly miss them.
Hey Girls,
Oh my goodness this a tough question! Ok first of all like everyone else I want the meadows scene and the first kiss and Edward watching her sleep. Also I want to see her meeting the whole family and Bella hearing Carlisle’s story. And I cannot do without of course is the phone call from James and her being in the hotel room with Jasper and Alice. I also thought it would be cool to see Alice’s visions. The things I could live without are a bit trickier. I dont really like the airport thing that much. I could also do without the blood typing because I don’t really like the idea of Bella being carried around. Also I don’t like the idea of the evil vampires getting their next meal it gives me the willies chillies! Um sorry to the violent people who watch this awesome podcast I don’t like the idea of watching James being torn apart. I think over all it will be an awesome movie. I love your podcast and try to answer the question of the week the best I can every time!
The one part of the movie I want to see is where Bella goes on the internet to seach about Vampires after going to First Beach and Jacobs “scary stories”. I know it’s not as great as the meadow scene or the other important ones, but I find that this scene in the book was sort of a life changing one for Bella, where she finally knows what Edward is, and doesn’t care because she is so in love with him already that she accepts him for who he is. I think it would show more depth for her character and if they throw in voice overs, where Bella narrates, I would like that. I do like that they are adding scenes like the flashback, alought it was not really part of the book, I think it will really add to the story telling of the film. Now, a scene that I could live without in the movie…hard to choose one because all the scenes are so good in the book. I would like the time where Edward is gone to be really short. He needs as much sceen time as possible. It could be something along the lines and where he leaves on that first day, and then the next scene it’s been a week and he has fianlly returned, something quick so it can get to the good stuff. Other then that, I wouldn’t want anything to be left out, but we can’t always get what we want sometimes. Love the Podcast!
Hey girls,
First time listener and i must say that you girls are GRRRREAT!!! So to answer the questions…
1: I agree with the most of what everyone else is saying, the meadow scene, Port Angeles, the first kiss, etc… but something that i don’t think i’ve seen anyone else mention, that i would think would be really cool to see, is the part of the book where it had snowed and the Cullen kids were in the cafeteria and Bella notices them goofing off and Emmett flicking the water out of his hair at the rest of his family. I thought that this was a really cute endearing scene because you see the love they possess for each other and you get to see the “teenager” side of the Cullens, even though they were really just trying to act “normal”. And also the other scene i would LOVE to see is after Edward says the “hair looks like a haystack” comment, when he suggests it time for breakfast and then Bella grabs her neck in terror and shock and scares Edward and then he has to clarify that it’s time for breakfast for the HUMAN!!! I could not stop laughing at this part of the book!!! Tooo Funny!!!
2: The part that doesn’t really need to be there is probably when Edward watches Bella as she’s pulling out of her parking spot and almost rams into one of the kids trying to drive off and then Edward laughs… kind of unnecessary i think. Plenty of other ways to show Bella’s clumsiness.
First i’d like to say hi from London! Thanks for such a great podcast i really think you guys do a wonderful job.
I think that the scene where Bella meets the Cullen family in their home is incredibly important, although it is not so much an emotional scene e.g. Bella and Edward in hospital or the meadow, it is really the formal introduction of the Cullens as a family as well as individuals. I find this scene in the book gave me my first impressions of each character because of how they behave towards Bella e.g Alice dashing towards her in excitement, Jasper keeping his distance. I think in the movie it will be even more important and revealing because facial expressions and body language is even more expressive in this circumstance than writing. Also, i think it will really show how amazing the casting is when the actors can really portray their characters without much dialogue.
The scenes I think the movie could do without is probably the “thinking” time Bella has to herself about her impressions of Forks, Charlie, her human friends and her truck. Its not because i think they are unimportant, but rather that seeing them and/or their actions with Bella interaction with them throughout is enough to get and idea of what Bella thinks, thus giving the movie enough time and more to show interaction and action scenes!
Hope you like my first answer to question of the week!
1. The scenes i cant live without are : Port Angeles and the meadow scene as this was where there relationship really progressed also when Bella met the cullens for the first time
2. I really would’nt care if they cut Jacob out of all the movies (except Breaking Dawn of course) !
So we all know from pictures and trailer that alot of the big parts are in it (baceball, medow, science class, ect…) I am very interested in seeing when bella first meets the Cullens and when she first sees the cullens house. I am very interested in how the house looks and especialy edwards room, i hope they have the little details like his music collection and system. Also i hope they dont cut out when Bella Alice and Jasper are hideing out, i feel like that was the only time you really got a chance to get to know Alice and Jasper in this movie.
as for what I dont care about, thats hard i know there are alot of small stuff that wont be in the movie.
I have to say tho i am MOSTLY excited about seeing the new flashback footage they did witht he cullens. I think it will be nice to see more of them, as i always say i feel like the rest of the cullens were not really developed in the first book and I am happy that they will get some more screan time.
i could totally want the whole bioagy lab room seen because in my eyes it it super funny and how she thinks there is something wrong with her and i just love that part. also i love the part where they are in the airport and she wants to go to the bathroom and that scary phone call i totally want.
there is really no spefic part i could live without but if i could pick a part it would be some of the boarding conversations they have in the book where they have no part for the future
Okay, so for the Twilight movie, I have a few things that I think should be in the movie. The first one is, and I know a lot of people say this, is the scene in the meadow. The first reason is that there’s the specific line that they said there:
“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.”
“What a stupid lamb.”
“What a sick, masochistic lion.”
=D Yup, we all know it. The second reason is that I want to see Edward sparkle in the sun ; ). Okay, so the second scene that I want in it is when Edward and Bella eat dinner in Port Angles and then the drive back to Forks, ’cause that’s when everything falls into place for Bella, and she fully understands what Edward is (but she isn’t scared) and what he could do. The third one is the prom scene with Jake passing on Billy’s message, and Bella dancing in a boot and a high heel! The fourth and final thing I want in there (trust me, I could have made this list wwwwwaaaayyyyy longer) is all the boys asking Bella to the dance XD. And plus I hope they have the humor that Stephenie Meyer put into the book in the movie. Okay, (I say okay too much) so if they didn’t have something in the movie I think I would want it to be ummmmm… I honestly can’t think of anything I want to have taken out of the movie that was in the book =P. Oh! Also, I want at the very end, when Bella isn’t around, to have Edward confess his love for a girl called Amelia. Muhahahahahaha!!!!! (Don’t worry, I already know I’m insane)
1. What do you think HAS to make it from the book to the movie?
I would love to see when Bella is runing out of the airport to go to her home to “save” her mother.
2. What can you live without?
Hard to answere. Maybe…I just dont know, to hard to pick something.
Hi girls, i love the show
For the part of the book that i cant live without being in the movie is the anticipation of their first kiss. when reading the book i was on ends trying to figure out when it was going to happen. when it FINALY happened after the meadow scene i wanted to scream! i texted my best friend who had already read the book and was like finaly they kissed!! the anticipaiton made the kiss so much more sweet and meaningful. (on a side note i really want setphanie to finish midnight sun that way i can read what was going thru Edwards mind when he finally decides to kiss bella, because she totally wasn’t ready for it.)
the part of the book that i could probably live with out is….. i dont know if i want any of it cut out even the little things like when the cullens were gone because of the sun and when she leaves her mom at the airport is important for the set up of Bella’s charachter and how much she is into Edward…. BUT if i had to choose i guessi could live with cutting the trip to La Push for the first time shorter and biology class where they do blood typing :-/
I would love to see the scene where Edward “tampers” with Bella’s memory so she won’t remember her reasons for not wanting to cling to his back while he ran to the Cullens’ baseball field. I think it is a funny scene and shows how “dazzling” Edward can be.
I could live without the scene where Bella is reading in her backyard and falls asleep. I don’t think that would be interesting to watch on the big screen.
Hey girls!
I really want to see the part of the book when Edward plays Bella’s lullaby because that is really when their relationship truely blooms, and they both know that they are meant for each other. Edward is a bit hesitant of showing his true feelings for Bella, so he rights a beautiful lullaby for her that sticks with them throughout the highs and lows of their relationship. Although Edward can be a moron sometimes, what he did right there was really a precious sincere thing to do. NoThat part made me choke up because it was so sweet. I would also like to see as much Jacob Black as possible. You can’t have enough Jacob, now can you Kassie?
Now I could live without the parts at the beginning of the book when Bella is waiting on every limb for Edward to come back into her life at school. It’s kinda pathetic, and I can’t stand it when Bella is so whiny and dependent like that. I also don’t want to see Bella moping around waiting to die in the hotel with Alice and Jasper that much on the big screen. It seems to go on forever and it wouldn’t be that interesting to watch 20 minutes of Bella watching T.V, with Alice and Jasper staring at her.
With all this in mind, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM TO SEE THIS AMAZING MOVIE!!!!
I’m incredibly hopeful to see the lunch scene between Edward and Bella when he takes her lemonade bottle cap. I know that part is in Midnight Sun, but I think it is soo sweet, and totally what Edward and Bella do to add to their relationship. I also think that it would give newcomers to the series a bit more insight to just how desperate, i guess is the word, that Edward is to be close to Bella, without hurting her at this stage in the story, yet still remaining innocent, and really, well, sweet, as i’ve said already.
The one part that I could really live without is the snootiness (yes, snooootiness) from Lauren/Jessica etc, on how Bella gets the best looking guy in the school (well, the best looking guy ever). Honestly, those two are -insert inappropriate words here- and deserve what they get. Jessica gets Mike (HA! *rofl* dunno why anyone would want that!) and Lauren gets a fake modeling deal/bad haircut. Face it, they had it coming.
I wish I could write more as to why i like these parts/don’t want to see them, but I’m running late and must be off! Totally love the podcast, can’t wait to here what you ladies have to say this week! btw, i’m completely and utterly jealous that you get to go to LA. Not cool. At all. *pouts*
1. I think my favorite line in the entire book was
“Do I dazzle you?”
“Frequently”
I just love that line, it so cute!
2. Although I think this part is hilarious, I think the part where Bella gets asked to the dance by Eric, Tyler, and Mike is unnecessary. I thought that was kind of excessive, especially if Eric is really going to be a Eric/Ben character and is going to be going out with Angela.
i don’t think i would ever be able to live without Edward saving Bella from the evil guys in port angles and then taking her to dinner. I think it was so cute how bella gave him her theory on what he is. If it’s gone i’ll cry ;-( thats when she falls in love with him (or relizes it any way)
I could so live without the snow day at the high school, as long the road is covered in ice the next day I’m good without it. Besides, all Bella does is look at Edward (it would be nice to look at Rob though)
1. What do you think HAS to make it from the book to the movie?
The meadow scene definately has to make it from the book and the movie because that was the moment that pretty much sealed the deal between Edward and bella. I also thing that the trip to La Push (intereactions/ story between Jacob and Bella is vital.
2. What can you live without?
Even though the trip to La push is vital, i think they can do without the hiking to the tide pools and whatnot. They can also do without the blood typing scene as well. Its not too to the story. I mean, it is important to know the bella can’t be around the smell of blood, but they can incorporate that is so many different ways. The snow ball fights can be done without too. I mean, it is important to know that it was cold, and icy, therefore it can elude to the car crash scene, but it doesn’t have to drag on forever and ever.
Can’t live without:
1. Edward and bella’s first kiss (i want it to be as close as possible to the book)
2. Tyler/Mike/Eric asking her to the dance
3.the part near the end when Tyler still thinks he is taking Bella to prom, and is talking to Edward on the phone = ]
4. the “lion fell in love with the lamb” quote
I also want to see edward watching bella while she sleeps.
i think the blood typing would be hilarious to see haha just so i can see mike getting pissed off by edward. that would be cool, i would also like to see edward watching bella as she sleeps hahaha ” my precious” that just comes into my mind whenever i imagine that scene, but yea im sure it will be great, the director had a good reason for some scenes not to be in the movie. i wish they would have casted a Quil though.
Well there is no way I can even begin to start on the scenes, but you know what I really hate they’re not putting into the movie?? Rosalie and Jasper’s last name!! They’re Cullens in the movie not Hales!! That just bugs me…sorry if I’m just obsessing, but it bugs me…
1. If the lullaby and the meadow scene aren’t right then i’ll probably cry…SERIOUSLY! Thats like where it all began!
2. The whole awkward and annoying relationship with mike newton…NO ONE CARES! no one likes him! i mean i like mike whelch (spell check?) but I just don;t want them to waste any precious time on stuff no one really wantst to see.
1. “If I could dream at all, it would be of you. And I’m not ashamed of it.” That quote HAS to be in the movie!
2. I could live without Edward being a show-off in the meadow (running around, tearing a branch off a tree and throwing it, etc.). It seems out of place in such a romantic scene, but if they wanted to put it somewhere else, I’d be fine with that.
I am interested in seeing the part in the Meadow as well. I feel that any and all interactions between Bella and Edward are extremely important, because that’s when you get to see what the entire book is about. The scence at the meadow is not only important to the story, but I really wanna see what Edwards skin will look like, and the kissing scene. Also, I can’t wait to see hospital scene.
Now, I feel they can cut out all parts when Edward isn’t in school and in Denali, and a good portion of when he is ignoring her after the van incident. It’s necessary in the book so we know what’s going on in Bella’s head but it will just be a waste of time in the movie. Unless they decide to give some of Edwards POV in the movie….i did hear an interiew in which Rob stated he read some of Midnight Sun to get a better perspective of where Edwards’ mind was in order to portray it better in the movie. That would be great. I know they didn’t do it, but it’s nice to dream.
1) Port Angeles has to make it in, after all it is a major turning point in the story. So it definately essential to the movie.
2) I could probably live without the little things bella does in between. Like making dinner for Charlie, pondering about Edward, etc. Those little things are not essential and probably wouldn’t play out well in the film anyways.
Okay let me just say one thing………. all the small details that the fans are looking for, SOME MAY GET CUT! Such as…. when Edward is suppost to chuckle after something Bella said,THAT may not be in there! BUT(!!!) everyone says it stays really close to the book…so those might be in there!
IF they don’t have an amazing baseball scene I will be so MAD! I might have to wrip someone to shreds!!!!!!
I think that the Bio. scences should be exactlly to the book!and the Meadow*AWWW*
I really can’t wait for the LaPush scenes! Not for Jacob but for Embry! The guy who is playing him is really CUTE!
I don’t rember where I heard this but…. I heard that Kristen had to like knee the camera man to make it look like she was beatting him up(aka Port Anglus). I just rembered that it was you(tst)!!!! Lol I’m so out of it today!
Lots of TwiLove,
<3`erin
Ok I Know I have alredy answered this one but for The Host,I think it is a great book I am 11 and have read all of the Twilight books and Now am Reading The Host!Kalie I know you don’t like Sci Fi but this book is awesome!Ok for the Twilight movie being rated pg13 my parents saw the whole sensuality thing and were like your ad has to watch this first.Ok now 4 the questions.
1.)The Pot Angeles scene needs to stay,I would like to ee the lunch seen when Edward is like Why Don’t You sit with me today,Obviously the kisses, and The fight scene,Oh and of course when alice comes into the room nd was like I thought you were having her for dinner to Edward.Oh and when mike asks bella out
2.)I don’t think that we need to see Renee dropping Bella off at the airport,or all of the scenes where Billy Comes to warn Bella about the Cullens, the scene when Charlie comes running to the ambulane I don’t think needs to be in the movie either or seeing Jacob at Prom!!
I’m certain all the major scenes will be included, so I know I won’t be disappointed about that. I think the part that will be hardest for the movie is to express the thoughts of the characters and capture their essence. In the book, it’s so much easier to write the thoughts of the characters to fill us in, but how will that be expressed in the movie? Do we have to just figure it all out from their facial expressions?
If the characters in the movie can convey the emotions expressed in the book, then they will have me at the first scene. If they’re fairly true to the book, include the major scenes, and anything they add is in line with what the “real” characters would do, the movie will be a major triumph. I hope they didn’t take too many liberties with Stephenie’s characters to embellish with what they think will dazzle a movie audience.
I love the ya’lls podcast!!
1. What definitely has to make it into the movie is: The whole car ride conversation after the dinner in port angeles. it is such a pivotal scene. Even for the characters it is an all or nothing scene. They are basically laying it on the line–you can cut the tension with a knife. This is where Edward and Bella’s relationship takes a whole new twist, so it definitely needs to make into the movie. It fives an insights to the non-readers, also.
2. I can live without Renee’s scenes. Like I know that she’s the mom and all, but it is basically parts that I skip when I re-read. They can mention her, but all we need is the airport scene, and I think we are good. Like the e-mails, phone calls, and the very beginning in Phoenix can go.
Thank you guys, I love you all
P.S- Kalie and I think alike. Specially the whole theory with Leah and Jacob. Kassie you are hilerious, I have spit coke through my nose plenty of times listening to you.
NEEDS TO BE IN MOVIE:
The part after the meadow where they spend the night together & she tells him ” I love you” & he says “you are my life now”. I think that part is a tear jerker/jump up & down part, haha but i might just be over sensitive.
I CAN LIVE W/OUT:
The part where shes unpacking all her stuff at charlies house. not really that much of an importance to be but then again the whole book is just AMAZING ! lol.
ps. I love your podcast & everytime i listen to it i cant help but laugh. =)
I NEED to see the entire Port Angeles sence every single bit form the book
The only thing i could live with out is the part at the beginging where Bella is Crying
I think this is great question! The hardest thing about adapting a beloved book to screenplay is that the story has many filters on it; the filters from the screen writer, the film editor, the director, and perhaps the studio if they (studio executives) have final cut. So we get our favorite scenes from a different perspective than we imagined while reading, or some scenes we thought weren’t as interesting while reading but just rock on screen based on how the scene is written, directed, edited and acted.
With that being said, I’d say what I’m looking forward to seeing the most is Edward watching Bella say his name in her sleep and sigh. Remember, Edward does say that is one of his greatest nights. Having the director cut the camera away to his reaction of Bella’s sleep talking at this moment will be *huge*! I hope we get to see the first time his rapturous joy from this feeling.
The least favorite, only because the scene is so painful is when Bella has to hurt Charlie to get to Phoenix. To me, the emotions in this scene will make it my least favorite, but I do recognize the importance of it.
the most important part that has to get into the movie is the medow scene because i am convinced that it will go down in history as one of the best, biggest, most amazing romance scenes ever. Also because its the defining moment in bella’s and edwards relationship and it helps explain how bella’s scent affects edward.
there is no scene that should be left out or that i would ever want out. Stephenie meyer wrote it a certain way that everything that goes on is important for the story. i know that the movie wont have every scene in it but i love all of it that i don’t want to change anything.
i absolutly LOVE your guys show! keep up the amazing work!:)
Rachel
NEED IT!) I’d have to say that they need to show the scene where Bella comes into the Cullen’s house for the first time and meets the family. They need to show the house in all its splendor and show the different personalitites of everyone and each room. They also need to show Edward on his piano playing his rhapsody and Bella’s Lullaby.
GET RID OF IT!) I don’t like they need the to have Edward watching Bella sleeping. I think they should just have it as a minor thing like in the book where it is barely brought up (just to show how serious and passionate Edward is wth Bella).
PS. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST TWILIGHT PODCAST EVER!!☺☻
1.
Bella’s clumsieness and sleep talking. Edward’s response to these characteristics make you understand his infatuation with a human from his fascination and curiosity.
2.
James’ full mouth bite. I hate it. Where’s the ‘cold cresent?’
I love the books so much that I believe I’ve let my imagination run amuck! I’m completely apprehensive to watch the movies and see all the things that are “wrong” with it. I want my books on the screen not an adaptation. This quick fix movie will hold me since E & B POV are over.
Thanks for all the updates. Yours is the only Twilight podcast I listen to. All of you are hilarious.
Holla atcha boys (just a little Project Runway humor for ya!)! Okey dokey, first of all, I just wanna say you guys are one of the most awesomest podcasts, hmm, EVER. You guys make my homework nights a little bit better. Ok, I’m done kissing up.
One scene that absoutely HAS to be in the movie is the meadow scene. Not only is it one of the most romantic scenes in the book (how about ever?!), it is one of the most pivotal scenes in the book. It is the turning point for Bella and Edward’s relationship. It defines their relationship for the rest of the series. It shows just how hard it is for Edward to restrain himself against Bella’s blood. It also shows how willing Bella is to be with Edward. Plus I just L-O-v-E luuuuuv it!
I also think that the baseball scene should be in it. It shows how strong the bonds are in the Cullen family.
The Port Angeles scene needs to be in the movie, too. It explains Edward’s situation and everything Bella has to accept about Edward.
As much as I want every scene to be in the movie, I understand they can’t (gawsh, why can’t just be a 4 hour movie?!). I think Bella’s “alone” time could be either taken out or shortened. They aren’t the most important scenes, and would make room for more important parts. I also think the beginning airport scene coul be taken out. I also think Carlisle’s history, as interesting as it is, will be taken out. Finally, the time in the hotel room when Alice, Jasper, and Bella are waiting for Edward’s phone call could be shortened.
Thanks for having such an amazing podcast and keep up the fabulous-and-a-half work!!
I just started listing to your pod cast about a month ago. I was so depressed after finishing the fourth book, because I didn’t have anything else to read about Bella and Edward. Your pod cast has helped me with my Twilight withdrawals (pathetic right??!!). I love being able to revisit the books with you guys and you’re all so much fun to listen to. I can’t wait for the movie; it’s going to be such a huge high!! LOL!!
Moving on to the question of the week, by they way is my first time posting. :o) I know this wasn’t in the first Twilight book, but I’m going to throw it in anyway. There is a chapter in Midnight Sun when Edward sits at his piano and writes belle’s lullaby. It was such a moving moment in Midnight Sun. I realized how strong Edward’s feelings were for Bella and how Bella’s entrance into his life had opened him up to write music again. Alice and Esme were so happy to see Edward write music again and the expression of their joy really gave me a sense of the dark space Edward was living in before he met Bella. She was Edward’s light and in all four of the books we understand that from Bella’s perspective, but in Midnight Sun you really truly understand how much stronger his feelings are and how much Bella means to him. Its amazing how one person can inspire you and open the flood gates of artistic expression. Understanding Edwards’s feelings and his intensity for Bella needs to be expressed in the movie. Otherwise he’s just a vampire dude that fell for a cute chick.
I can live without James’s confession in the ballet studio regarding Alice vampire birth. I don’t remember it really being followed up in the other books. Other then the explanation of Alice’s powers I don’t see too much importance there. Alice’s powers can maybe be adding in when Edward explains to Bella the rest of the Cullen family gifts.
You ladies are awesome and thank you for keeping us Twilight junkies wanting more!!
I dont know what i want to see and what i dont mind not seeing. But i find it really hard to picture the movie without sections from the book. Every bit matters to me so i cant choose!
i HAVE to see the scene when edward is explaining carlisle’s past, i hope the there will be a flash back of when he is being bitten and the struggle that he has to be quit and not give himself away and the first time he drinks blood (u know the 1sst time he see’s that herd of animals).
i think that if they add flash backs to this part of the movie it will enhance how compassionate he is. i would also like to see a flash back of the time when edward is dying and carlisle finds him.
when bella is at la push i think it would be cool to see sort of flickers of memorys of the wolves and the cullens from the 1st time they were in forks this would make the story more real and show veiwers why bella would take it so seriously.
the part i can live without: ARE U CARZY IT’S TWILIGHT HOW CAN I LIVE WITHOUT ANY OF IT!!!!!!!! LOL (although i know that they are cutting out a few scenes from the school and replacing it with a feild trip scene-i think that this part will come the day after the accidnt with the van)
i love the show guys
love beth
ps im from melbourne australia and i was wondering if u could give me a bit ore info on the twilight thing that is happening down here-u know the 1 with kellen lutz and ashley greene and the mystery guest-because i think that my mum will let me go if i give her some more info but i can’t find any!!!!
I am really looking forward to some scenes from Edward’s perspective while he’s fighting himself on what to do about Bella, because I think we’ll get the chance to see more “vamps at home” before the Bella thing changes the Cullen’s world…
I’m also really excited about the hotel scenes, because there’s never enough Alice and Jasper, ever. Really, a Jasper and Alice spinoff would be great for me.
I could do without so much exposition from Bella’s perspective before the fated night in Port Angeles. It takes what, 7 or 9 chapters before we really fall into the action, the meat, of the story. But y’know, that part of the plot could advance quickly for me and I’d be fine.
Hmm…
1) You seriously need to involve the scene where bella is basically escaping Alice in the airport! I belive this is well thought out and seriously needs to be involved. I’ve heard it hasn’t sadly which kinda puts me down, but it’s such an amazing part in the book! What, with how she manages to plan her escape and head all the way back to that single ballet studio where the battle begins :D!
2) I suppose I could live without…gah! Such a difficult choice >.< the book is amazing as a WHOLE! So…I suppose it would have to be something uber minor…like…when Renee is dropping Bella off at the airport. A god..what, ten minuets - 20 minuets wasted! Just head off where she’s driving with Charlie or something, Geesh XD!!!
ps. From Liverpool
Can’t wait for the movie to actually come out in england XD!
1. I would love to see a bit of Edward interrogating Bella. I loved reading how he was just throwing questions at her in the cafeteria about what her favorite flower is, her favorite color, her favorite gemstone (my favorite is topaz so I liked that part especially). I’m sure that many people wouldn’t really care about that scene as much as others, but I really enjoyed reading it and I had a smile on my face that entire time.
2. I don’t really know what I would like to see left out. As long as they don’t leave out the scene in the meadow, I think I’ll be fine with whatever they have in the movie. Maybe they could leave out some of the time spent waiting in the hotel with Alice and Jasper. The anticipation when reading that section almost drove me nuts and I don’t know if I could see it all played out on the screen
P.S. I love your podcast!! It makes me so happy to take some time out of my boring, daily routine life to laugh at what you guys talk about. I especially loved when you talked about Dreaking Dawn’s First Book of Bella and how eggs give Kassie gas. Being a fellow Cassie (but with a C), I thought it was hilarious to hear “Eggs give Kassie the poots.” I was cracking up laughing when I heard that and no one in the room knew why I was acting so ridiculous with something I had heard on my iPod. Thank you for saving me from my mundane, average life!!
I think the scene where Bella and Edward are in the meadow has to be in the movie!!! It’s so beautiful and it shows a little bit more of their relationship. A smaller part that I think has to be shown is when Bella heres the old video of her mom, when James is trying to trap her. I think it’s really important because it gives a little bit more of an idea of Bella’s relationship with Rene. And why she goes right into James trap.
1.
- A scene that I think has to make it from the book to the movie is when Edward is at Bellas house for the first time while she is conscious and the morning after when she tells him she loves him.
- I would also like to see the day when she wakes up from the hospital and Bella is talking to Renee about Edward.
2.
-I could do without Edwards hunting trip.
I was listening to the Twilight audiobook today and I KNOW I want to see this steamy scene in the movie. When Bella and Edward arrive in the forest right before the baseball game and Edward is trying to convince Bella to get on his back and he’s so persuasive. This scene better be in there and better be as steamy hot as it was written.
I love ya’lls podcast!!
1. What definitely has to make it into the movie is: The whole car ride conversation after the dinner in port angeles. it is such a pivotal scene. Even for the characters, it is an all or nothing scene. They are basically laying it on the line–you can cut the tension with a knife. This is where Edward and Bella’s relationship takes a whole new twist, so it definitely needs to make into the movie. It gives an insight to the non-readers, also.
2. I can live without Renee’s scenes. Like I know that she’s the mom and all, but it is basically parts that I skip when I re-read. They can mention her, but all we need is the airport scene, and I think we are good. Like the e-mails, phone calls, and the very beginning in Phoenix can go.

Daylet
p.s: I re-post it because my other one had a bunch of typos.
1. the things that have to be in the movie for me are almost everything! especially the diner seen and meadow seen
2. i could live without the 2 a half months that edward avoids bella
and maybe jacob… just kidding…for now
PS. I have just recently downloaded all ur podcasts and am totally i love with them and you guys!!!
I have been wondering for a while now how they are going to put together the movie because so much of Twillight is told through Bella’s thoughts..I think it is really important that they find a way to communicate what she is thinking especially in the beginning of the book/movie. Some of the emotions will be clear on her face and through her words but there are other thoughts she has in the book that I think are crucial to understanding, and I hope that they find a good way to communicate these. A few scenes I think are extremely important to be in the movie are: the first scene in the cafeteria when Bella sees the Cullens, the scene at Port Angeles, the meadow scene, and when Bella goes to Edward’s house for the first time. All of these scenes mark crucial points in Edward and Bella’s relationship and they are extremely important. I also think that it is SO important for the scene where they are driving back from the meadow to be put in the movie. This is a smaller scene so could be overlooked, but I still think it is very important. It is here that Edward explains some of the stories of how a few of the Cullen’s became vampires. It is important because it helps us to understand the other characters much better. I don’t think it is necessary for them to include the part when James talks about Alice’s vampire birth. Although it is interesting to readers, I think it may go over the heads of people who are seeing the movie but have not read the book, and therefore do know the deeper details of Twilight. Keep up the good work!

les and maura
i have to see the prom scene and when bella tells edward she knows he’s a vampire
i can live without the part when bella, alice, and jasper are in the hotel
I think it is really important for them to have the scene where Edward kisses Bella for the first time. It is important because it shows how hard it really is for Edward to be near Bella and how they are falling in love. I think that they can leave out some of the days where Edward is not at school. The story just moves too slowly when he’s not there. Obviously they have to have at least one, I can understand that, but not too many I want to see Rob!!! Love the podcast! I hope you guys will be able to go to the premier *crosses fingers*

1. I have to say the part when Charlie keeps calling Edward “Edwin” lol. I thought that was a funny part ahaha. oh and that part when they were in Port Angeles and there were four guys trying to get Bella, I really wanna see Robert Pattinson act out that part when he was all intense and wanting to kill those guys. And then of course the part when they were eating dinner and Edward does the “looking up through his eyelashes” thing and the “dazzle” look. and ofcourse all the other lovey dovey scenes ^_^
2. I can live without the whole part when Mike, Tyler and Eric asks Bella to the dance, though that would be a funny scene also, so. . . I kinda want that in there too. mmm. . . I don’t really have a part of the book that I don’t want in the movie. if they could, I want the whole book and I mean every detail in the movie, I wouldn’t care if it’s aslong as LOTR. plus getting to see Robert/ Edward’s face that long would be awesome! :-))
one thing i can live without (and the only thing i can live without cuse the rest is amazing) is the first 3 times bella and edward kiss, bella either faints or tries to kill edward. i can live without that cuse i think its not that important and i annoys me a little that it wasn’t as perfect those times as i believe they should have been.
Rachel
I really want to Kristen saying “Stupid shiny volvo owner”. Idk why but I really want to see & hear her say it!
I can live without the airport scene at the beginning of the book and the week Edward is not there.
Love the podcast!
Gloria
1.I would have to say by far there is no possible way they can not include the scene where Edward saves Bella’s life from those 4 horrible guys. I mean its the first scene where we see Edward go all vampirish and defensive over Bella OMG!! lol She has to calm him down and then when they arrive to the restaurant cause well technically speaking this is their first date and they have a moment MOST importantly its funny how Edward can careless about the waitress and his eyes are completely focused on Bella I mean come on thats just wat twilight is all about. The obsession Bella and Edward(protective obsession) have over each other!!! OOOOO nd definelty i cannnnnnnnoooootttt live without the scene where Edward takes Bella deep into the woods and shows her why he doesnt go out into the sun I saw want to see how hot and gorgeous Edward looks!!!! Plus this is the initiation of their first kiss DEFINITELY NECESSARY!!
2.As for wat I can live without would have to be the multiple days Jasper, Bella, and Alice spend at the hotel. I mean they can shrink that portion so that its just look like multiple days but is like only one scene. Just have the important things occur, like Alice’s vision and James’ call.
p.s.LOVE YOU GUYS
Barbara from NY
One part that I hope is in the movie is the bonfire at the beach with Jacob when he tells Bella all the theories and myths about the vampires and the Cullens. I think I remember seeing it being filmed, but not sure. I love Jacob (although he’s no Edward) but I love the love triangle he creates. It makes the story for me. So I want him in the movie as much as possible for the first one, because he does not have a big part in Twilight. I so totally want to see Bella flirting with him!
I don’t think the whole Edward and Bella thing would be so hot, if it weren’t for Jacob…
There are so many parts that have to in there I can’t mention them all and you probably know what they are…so I won’t even go into them!
I hate to say it…but I can’t think of one part to leave out. Really? I can’t wait to hear what people say?
Can’t wait to see you in LA at the premier…I hope you (and us) get in to the movie too! But how? Love your show!
Hey! First of all I’d like to say I am in love with your podcasts! =] They’re the best and I must confess. . . I refuse to listen to any other podcast. Haha
Ok, well to answer the first question- I think for the movie to be successful there will have to be the personalities in the characters. I think if the actors/actresses don’t portray the characters to the best of their ability…It would kind of ruin it for me. Also, it has to, has to, HAS TO have the relationship between Bella & Edward be passionate and totally as in-depth as it is in the book. Twilight could not be Twilight without that!
For the second question- I think the movie could do without…Jacob! Hahaha. Just kidding! I must admit I’m not a Jacob fan, but I do like Jacob a bit better since Breaking Dawn. My REAL answer would have to be… some of the long nights with Charlie. I think some of the parts in the books with Bella & Charlie go on for a bit too long. I know you have to have that relationship down, but I don’t think ALL the awkwardness is necessary. The movie will do better off without it all…
Thank you! I’ll be listening! =]
I couldn’t live without the baseball scene - that has to be one of my favourite parts. I also love the beach part where Bella flirts with Jacob, and the prom is cool.
What shouldn’t be in the movie… that’s hard! Because I’m Team Jacob, I could do with only a bit of Edward Bella romance. Some of the bits at school are a bit boring too. When Alice, Jasper and Bella are at the hotel in Phoenix is a bit boring, that should be mostly cut out too.
Well, to start off, all of the scenes I am demanding are in the movie. I saw most of the crucial scenes in the trailers (and I must say I loved the 3rd one :D). Anyway, the basics are what I demand: the “First Sight” lunch scene, biology scene, “Phenomenon” - Edward saving Bella from the van, Port Angeles scene (which Kallie saw! so lucky!), the meadow scene… etc. I really want them to include the first night Edward stays with Bella(not the first night for Edward, but for Bella it is). Definitely the scene where Bella meets the Cullens, the baseball scene, and, of course, the ballet studio scene. Haha, I know those are a lot of demands, but they would really make the movie for me and millions of others
Oh I forgot! I MUST see the blood typing scene when Edward picks up Bella for the first time, and he drives her home
Hmm.. I could live without the beginning scene where Bella gets on the plane to go to Forks. Also, I could live without all the Jessica/Mike drama, lol. I really can’t think of anything else very insignificant.
So many things in the book are important to the story, so it’s very difficult to choose what could be left out without much complaint from the crazy fandom.
As cheesey as it is, I have to see the part when Bella tells Edward that he dazzles people. And he asks her if he dazzles her. Its one of the best parts of the book in my opinion, and I hope that it makes it in the movie.
I also CAN NOT LIVE WITHOUT the blood typeing sene. Its sooo amazing. And the line when Edward tells Bella that he thought hed have to avenge her murder. [:
Something I dont need to see is not really a specific part of the book, its more of a character. Im not a fan of Mike Newton. Sure he can be kinda funny at times, but after reading Midnight Sun Mike really gets on my nerves. I already know that Mike will be in the film, but Im hopeing hes not a big part.
i have to and i mean absolutly have to see the sceen when Edward and Bella are in the restraunt in Port Angeles and when he kisses her for the first time right after leaving the meadow!!!! i will die if it isnt in there!!!!
And i couldn’t really picture it without any of the scenes in the book in the movie! But i couldn’t care less if the scene after bella almost gets hit by tylers car and she is in the hospital and shes asking Edward how he saved her… but anyways i love Twilight SO SO SO SO SO MUCH! CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!! YAY EDWARD!
i think that everythingshould be put in the movie and theys hould do it right Like when edward and bella is in his room and in the book he tacles her on to the couch but in the movie he jumps out the window. but i can live with out some things that dont matter
they have to put the first night for bella when edward stay with her, when bella sees edward for the 1st time, when they kiss, the meadow, port angeles , and everything it has to be right on and they can’t get it wrong but so far i can’t wait for the movie to come out.YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant wait for the MOVIE! woot woot!
i think there needs to be a scene in the movie where Edward watching Bella sleep. I think that is so important to the begining stage of thier relationships. Because she talks in her sleep it is the only time Edward can see what is going on in her head especially with all her insecurites.
I cant think of a scene i can live without. I know they have to cut out some, but i cant think of one!
Love the podcast!
1. Edward watching Bella sleep
2. The confrontation in the hospital
3. The Prom scene with Jake
4. The whole Port Angeles scene
5. The first time they had lunch together
* some of the scenes i listed i already know were filmed i hope they are put in the movie
Hey Girls!
~chelsea y.~
wow that’s probably your hardest question of the week yet, that’s because for me there’s no part in the book that i could really be will to give up.
Sorry for any spelling mistakes
LOve the pod cast

Hey Girls (again)!
Now I am - offically - done.
~chelsea y.~
Correction guys sorry i meant to say Mostly the part where bella goes to the cullen’s hosue
hellooo
well…the scene that HAS to be in the movie is THE MEADOW SCENE!! its the best scene in the book && its when Edward and Bella first Kiss and it becomes their special place.
I think they could leave out some of the scenes where Bella trips over all the time. Yes it’s part of her character to be clumsy but it sometimes gets a bit annoying and I think they should leave some of the trips out. But of course they need to leave some in lol
Keep up the awesome Work
Morgan xoxo
What im worried about is not if they cut things out im just scared that all of my favourite parts will be cut short. In my ideal world the book ould be the script but one thing i am especcially hoping they put in is when edward first composes bella’s lulluby for esme (that bit is acctually from midnight sun but who cares) . One thing i could live without seeing in this movie is when bella does all that reckess flirting with jacob at the beach because i felt sorry for him (even though i am definately team edward all the way). Love the podcast guys!
P.S. if you guys see rob at the premiere in L.A. can you ask him to marry me? THX
xx
1. First Kiss
2. Second Kiss
3. And so on ….
1. Meadow scene
2. First time he stays over Bellas
3. When Bella says she loves him and when Edward tells Bella he loves her
4. The last hospital scene(it’s so sweet:) )
5. First time they see each other
6. The whole blood typing chapter
7. Port Angeles
And what I can live without well…
1. Jacob and Bill coming over
Can’t live without:
1) First Sight
Clair de Lune
2) first Biology lab together( aka “Open Book” chapter)
3) PORT ANGELES! the whole chapter!
4) where Edward and Bella confront each other after Bella is dispatched from hospital after being saved from van
5) MEADOW SCENE
6) first time Edward invited Bella to sit with him alone at lunch
7) the whole blood typing thing
1. I can’t live without the PORT ANGELES SCENE AND THE AFTERMATH, and THE FIRST TIME EDWARD WENT TO BELLA’S ROOM
2. I can live without the.. (blank)
2. They Extra Scene, At The Beginning When Billy And Jacib Give Her Her Truck, I Don’t Think That is Neccasary.
lion fell in love with lamb quote,
blood typing chapter
could live without: i don’t know…..
i can’t live without them showing the first time edward sleeps over. its one of my favorite parts in the book and i hope it turns out good. also any scene involving edward missing a piece of clothing i can FOR SURE not live without.
i can live without any scene involving jacob.
Although if they some how captured the different emotions that went on then I wouldn’t be too sad because that is the most important part ( along with the kiss but that just goes without saying
Edward watching Bella as she sleeps.
1.wen edward and bella are in the medow
2.wen billy gives charlie the truck
well…
those are good questions… my answer would be:
1. the “lion and the lamb” Dialogue between Edward and Bella because it just summs up what the book is about
2. porbably Jessicas and Bellas oh so long conversaton about the spring dance and Mike Newton. i don’t like that guy… even though Mike Welch is awesome!!!!!!!!!
1) They really need to make an emphasis on the eye colors
2) The Beach scene
3) When Edward watches her sleep
4) Emmett’s sense of humor
5) I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT ANYTHING THAT IS IN THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Dinner in Port Angeles and the ride back. Oh! and when Jacob tells Bella about the Quilette myths!
2. When Bella’s in her backyard reading the Jane Austen stuff…they could leave that out.
Hey gals:)
1. They have to have the scene where Edward is “messing” with Bella’s mind before the go out to the clearing to play baseball. Where he is trying to get her to to ride on his back again.
2. I could do without alot of the scenes where the Cullens aren’t in school due to it being sunny outside.
I love pretty every scene in Twilight but I’ll be flexible! I want the movie sooo badly!!!!!!
the scene I could live without in the movie is when Bella get’s dropped off at the airport by her mom.
Jazz (Team Edward,Bella,Renesme!)
THE KISS!!! DUH! That’s all. If that’s not in there I will be writing so many nasty hate letters to Summit, my hand will fall off!
I can do without them making up extra scenes for jacob. He really should get no more than 10 min of screen time.
ok without some scenes the movie would be a disaster .
Hey,
First of all I love your podcast…yours and Imprint are my favourite
I’m Sirley from Estonia
1) I really would like to see Eric-Mike-Tyler asking Bella to the prom, and her being annoyed with it, and also this would include the Port Angeles shopping scene where Bella discovers what Tyler has been telling everybody and the exchange between Bella and Edward when she tells him in the car that she’d like to run over Tyler so he wouldn’t feel guilty….lol. That would be great comic relief.
2) Its hard to say what I could live without…as I wouldn’t mind having everything in the movie
But if I’d have to choose then most probably when Bella’s reading or writing to Renee. It’s not that I would have anything against those scenes, but I wouldn’t particularly miss them.
Keep up the great work!
Hey Girls,
Oh my goodness this a tough question!
Hope you like my first answer to question of the week!
i want to see the scene when they r in the resturant after he just saved her from the creepy guys and the waitress it trying to get Edwards attention.
oh and when edwards watches bellas sleep
oh and the medow scenes
1. The scenes i cant live without are : Port Angeles and the meadow scene as this was where there relationship really progressed also when Bella met the cullens for the first time
2. I really would’nt care if they cut Jacob out of all the movies (except Breaking Dawn of course) !
~Kirsty
1) The right chemistry between Edward and Bella
2) Rob Patt being Edward (Gah!)
Not cool. At all. *pouts*
But I still love you all!
Love the podcast!!!
-Jamie
i don’t think i would ever be able to live without Edward saving Bella from the evil guys in port angles and then taking her to dinner.
I LOVE your podcast!
Lots of TwiLove,
<3`erin
Oh and I SOOOO don’t want to see Mike and the other guys ask Bella out…It is a waist of time when we should be getting more BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for doing the Podcast you guys are great!!
Madison
Hi, all,
I’m certain all the major scenes will be included, so I know I won’t be disappointed about that.
- Hoppie
Daylet
Love ya!
Ciao Bellas! (no Twilight reference intended!)
Hey Ladies!!
Meg
LOL (although i know that they are cutting out a few scenes from the school and replacing it with a feild trip scene-i think that this part will come the day after the accidnt with the van)
i love the show guys
love beth
ps im from melbourne australia and i was wondering if u could give me a bit ore info on the twilight thing that is happening down here-u know the 1 with kellen lutz and ashley greene and the mystery guest-because i think that my mum will let me go if i give her some more info but i can’t find any!!!!
pps TWILIGHT ROX
Thank you guys, I love you all
P.S- Kalie and I think alike. Specially the whole theory with Leah and Jacob. Kassie you are hilarious, I have spit coke through my nose plenty of times listening to you.
Daylet
p.s: I re-post it because my other one had a bunch of typos.
1. What HAS to be on the movie is the meadow scene! I just hope the movie illustrates well enough Edward’s beautiful shiny skin in the sun.
2. I can live without when Bella searches info about vampires.
1. the things that have to be in the movie for me are almost everything! especially the diner seen and meadow seen
2. i could live without the 2 a half months that edward avoids bella
and maybe jacob… just kidding…for now
PS. I have just recently downloaded all ur podcasts and am totally i love with them and you guys!!!
Hi guys!
Keep up the good work!

love your podcast!!!!~
les and maura
i have to see the prom scene and when bella tells edward she knows he’s a vampire
i can live without the part when bella, alice, and jasper are in the hotel
I think it is really important for them to have the scene where Edward kisses Bella for the first time. It is important because it shows how hard it really is for Edward to be near Bella and how they are falling in love. I think that they can leave out some of the days where Edward is not at school. The story just moves too slowly when he’s not there. Obviously they have to have at least one, I can understand that, but not too many I want to see Rob!!! Love the podcast! I hope you guys will be able to go to the premier *crosses fingers*

answers to:
Susan
Oh and I forgot, the car crash must be there too!
