    i want catherine!!!!!!

  2. Tina says:

WHAT?? noooo! these movies need a FEMALE director!!!!!!!!!!
not to be sexist or anything, but i really think only a woman could understand the emotional depth, especially for what Bella goes through in new moon!! ugh now i’m really worried….

  3. Julia says:

i… don’t know. i didn’t like the golden compass but i guess that doesn’t mean he’ll mess up new moon. does it?

  4. Tara K. says:

The Golden Compass didn’t really catch my attention. They do need a female director, but if he can pull of the emotion that we read about in the book, well then props to him.

  5. Wicked says:

Honestly, I don’t care much whether it’s a man or woman that does it so long as they do it RIGHT. They MUST capture the true heartache and essence of this book. And if they have to make the movie longer than 120 minutes, I’m ok with that. They have to put ALL the important pieces in here as well. And just to be perfectly clear (I’m sure everyone here will agree) they ABSOLUTELY MUST do the wolves and the phasing right!!!!! As much as I LOVED Twilight, I thought they should’ve spent more time on the true closeness of Edward and Bella. Let’s hope this time they get it right with her and Jacob.

  6. LOTR says:

Why do all of you need to make such a big deal if it’s a man or women? All it matters is if they make the movie well and complete it. I found the Golden Compass to be very good and the director was ok. No offense to Catherine Hardwick but he seems to be a better choice. He has made a bit of a big movie. Hardwick’s big movie was Twilight and she had a built in audience. If you look at how the movie is made and the quality is not the best. My brother and I watched this and he is in college taking film, adn he could not stop pointing outnhow to make it better. The only reason why I liked this movie was because it was Twilight. No offense to the movei but it wasnt the best and having a new director might make it better.

    yAY! =]

  8. Kate says:

I don’t care if it is a man or a woman. The director could be a transvestite for all I care. Just as long as it’s not Chris Weitz!

Maybe he will do an amazing job. If so, I will most definitely eat my words. But if he screws it up, I will encourage the screami g fangirls that want to go murder him.

  9. Chloe-An Australian Twilighter says:

Oh god no!!! After how badly he stuffed up the golden compass to what it really was like in the book im surprised hes showing his face again!!!! Crap!!!!! If he stuffes it up whos with me for murdering him lolz.
