i honestly think the role of leah should be played by a younger person. Reading the books, neither of them feel right. And think of what the other wolves look like. If she is related to seth then she should look somewat like him.. right.. ? well the rest of the wolves are darker in skin color. These are some things you should think of. And anyways they are way to girly for the role. If u read the books you would know what i mean.

She would not suit being Leah Clearwater, because Leah is Agressive and Vanessa…. let’s just say she won’t be ableto do angry let alone be agressive for the whole movie, and leah gets the most temperamental, seeing vanessa get angry would be like a fairy exploding….. no offence to fairy lovers, i love fairies but i think that vanessa should not be Leah clearwater….. so people NO NO NO!!!!!

Why is every one still worried that the films won’t stay true to the book if the wrong actour is picked?!
The movie had pretty much NO relation to the book since Day 1.

But i dont think either of the girls that are rumored to be in the running to play leah are any good.Im sorry but i thought the wolf pack is meant to be Native American and last time i looked these girls aint,i mean i would be sceard that vanessa would break into were breaking free or that brenda is going to start going on about not having any money, i just think that they would kill the movie and the wolf pack, both seem to girlie to play leah,whats wrong with finding a native american you did it with the other 3 boys that you showed in twilight,find new people to play leah and not some lame girl girl,go with Nicole Lee Smith she would be great throw her in there and dont think of the other two.I mean you saved the movie by keeping taylor dont go and kill it with a disney actor there are better people that would fit the role please dont go with them that would kill it i cant see either of them being werewolfs,at least go with someone that is NATIVE AMERICAN like in the book,im not being racist im just thinking of the role that has to be played.Think about it people.I vote NO to both of those girls and YES to Nicole Lee Smith.

I guess Native American actors need not apply for the roles of the Native Americans at all. If Taylor Lautner, who is NOT even Native American, can be cast as Jacob, the LEAD Native American, why should Summit stop now when it comes to the female roles? I think what has been done in terms of casting is truly shameful. Tanned skin and dark hair do not make you an “instant Native” and a horrible message has been sent to the that community. This notion that they couldn’t find a fitting Native actor to play Jacob so they settled with Taylor is insulting. I can think of a number of Native actors who would have been fantastic as Jacob. They certainly found Native actors for the supporting cast–Billy, Sam, Embry, etc.

Sure, Brenda is pretty, but she is Asian and LOOKS Asian. Leah is Native American and both Vanessa and Brenda could never pull off all of the underlying emotion of Leah. I picture Leah looking wise beyond her years and having a very strong face and personality to match. Look at the wolf pack boys, they all have a certain look. Throwing either one of those in the pack or anyone that is not a NW Native American would just throw the whole thing off. I came across a link to a Nicole Lee Smith on another site who is rumored to be in the running for the part. She looks way more the part plus I think they should continue to cast unknowns for these parts. I don’t want to try to look past a Disney face to picture one of the characters, so I say NO NO NO to both Brenda and Vanessa and yes to someone like this Nicole Lee Smith. Anyone else ever heard of her?

I just read that the character of Leah isn’t even going to be in New Moon (twilight lexicon), I am not sure what I think of that?! I like Nicole (above) for Emily Young and the girl from Pocahontas for Leah.
