‘New Moon’ Art and Official Title Revealed

MTV has a photo of the New Moon logo here!

“As for the logo itself, Weitz has chosen to stay with the lowercase lettering, personable font and light-streaks-poking-through look of last year’s hit film. In switching from blue to orange, the movie’s upcoming posters will be instantly distinguishable from those of the original “Twilight” – which should make them look a whole lot cooler when teenage girls all over the world add them to their walls. The presence of orange also begs a new question: Now that blue and orange are taken, which colors should be used for “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn”?”

Wow! that’s the New Moon type-face for the movie posters? Don’t get me wrong, I like it, but I thought they would have gone with the font colours on the books – that’s what seemed to be happening when Twilight came out. I could imagine the poster for this having Bella and Jacob in the foreground, Jacob smiling, hand on her shoulder, while Bella, with a tear on her cheek, stares away to the background at the sillhouette of Edward.
Personally I hoped that New Moon would be silver or metallic grey to represent tears and sadness, which is how Bella feels in this book, but this suggests more of Jacob so it’s okay I guess… I hope they go for a rosy sort of colour for Eclipse and stick with blood-red for Breaking Dawn.
I am excited for Eclipse though because…Edward will be back (Team Edward forever!)
