Yes there is a Team Gale and Team Peetah thing going on here haha. No wonder Stephenie Meyer recommended it. We all know how much she loves those love triangles.

  2. Mikayla says:

The Hunger Games is my favorite book now! I love Stephenie Meyer even more for recommending it! haha but hmm… Team Gale or Team Peeta… Team Peeta definitely!! haha IDK why, but I can’t help not liking Gale much…

As for Catching Fire… I found this brief summary on http://cityofbooks.blogspot.com/2009/02/news-catching-fire-summary.html:
    SPOILERS ALERT!!
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

ooooooooh that sounds gooooood! xD Rebellion? Revenge? AHHH I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS!

Also, have you seen the UK Hunger Games cover???? It looks sooooo much nicer than the US’s!! Go check it out at: http://www.thehungergames.co.uk/home! And there’s a game on there to see if YOU would survive the Hunger Games! Very nice website!

Anyways, I love the podcast, girls, keep it up!

I absolutely adore this book with all my heart. It is beautifully written and has an amazing story outline. Suzanne Collins executed every single detail perfectly and I personally think that this book has great potential to it. I also love it because of the characters. First of all, my favourite character, no question is Katniss Everdeen, and not just because she looks like me but because she is really tough and clever. She is very caring and is what every girl should inspire to be–plus, she’s not as whiny as Bella, but I love Bella too. The book is emotional aswell, it made me cry, and that is what books are supposed to make you feel, they have to make you feel the happiness and the pain that the character feels, thats the magic of literature! The Hunger Games was quite a great inspiration for the book that I’m writting and I hope that my characters can match up to these.

PS: Peeta is super sweet, if only guys were in real life.

    Loveee your show!!!
    xoxo

i want to read this book so b adly, but we’re reading it in class this year, and i promised my english teacher (another twihard) that i wouldn’t.

  5. Patty says:

    Hi there ladies,

I literally just finished reading this book about a half hour ago so my feelings are still so raw. I both love and hate the book.
I love the love story between Katniss and Peeta, but hate the brutality of the whole Hunger Games. Unlike some of the other comments listed above, I would not want to see this book made into a movie. Too horrific!

I Love your podcast and especially this website. One of the best out there. I found a different site where you can listen to some of Robert’s songs so I thougt I’d pass that along. His music is great and hopefully someday he’ll consider sharing more of it with the world. http://www.robert-pattinson.co.uk

  6. Kristin says:

i have not read it yet, but my friend has and she thinks it really good.:)

  7. Julia says:

It was AMAZING. It almost competed with my love for Twilight! It had romance, it had action, it had adventure, reflections on the media, politics…what’s not to like? Now all it needs is a movie!
    Please?
    xoxo Julia

  8. Marianne says:

The thing I love about The Hunger Games is that it has so many layers. On the surface it is a story about survival, perseverance, and love. Underneath it left me thinking for days about the parallels between our society and Panem. I’m not trying to be all philosophical or anything, but how voyeuristic are we already with reality TV?

The other thing is that this book leaves you wondering what was real between Peeta and Katniss and what was for survival purposes. I have a feeling that Catching Fire will introduce more of a love triangle between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale (by the way, these names are a little whack). Also, what will happen when they return to the Seam? The powers that be will not let them get away with mutiny. I wonder if they’ve done more damage than good. Only time and Catching Fire will tell.

  9. Stephanie says:

hey guys i havent read the hunger games and would love to have a review from kassie

  10. Dita says:

I would have to rank this book in with Lord of the Flies. It has so much symbolism in it. Man vs. Man, Man vs. himself, love, suspense, violence, I could go on and on but the humanity captured in this book is amazing. I could not put it down and I am so excited to learn that there is a sequel coming out in September. I can’t wait to see who she chooses and what Catnis has in store for the Capitol.

  11. Rachel C. says:

OH MY GOD IT IS SOOO GOOOD! I COMPLETELY LOVE IT!
i love how action-packed it is. Normally, i’m not into that much action, and i’m mostly into the love story type book like Twilight!!, but it was just so well written that it AWLAYS kept me on the edge of my seat. i love how there was an undercurrent of love going on, and although it didn’t dominate the story, it was still there just enough. Also, i thought it was different- the good different not the bad- that it was basically set in the future and how everything works differently there. The fact that it pulled you into the book so completely- that it always felt like you were right there watching everything fan out in front of you was awesome. I loved how Katniss (the main character for the people who’ve never read it) was constantly fighting for her life, and to also get back to her sister- which is why she got into the hunger games- to save her sister from going. the book totally captured me, and when certain things happen- which i won’t mention for those who haven’t read it- eh hem…KASSIE!!!- it was completely suprising and enthrawling! When i first got the book for christmas i was like… eh ok it doesn’t look that good… but after i started reading the first page, I WAS HOOKED! trust me on this one kassie and everyone else who hasn’t read it, its AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i completely love the podcast girls! keep up the awesome work!!!!

    ~rachel c.

  12. Brinkley Marie says:

I loved it. It is the perfect combination of love, adventure, horror, mystery, and that futuristic vibe. The government (Capitol) definately adds a sense of urgency and fear. I was hooked immediately. There is NO time to sit back. There is not any “filler” chapters at all.

I am Team Gale all the way. I think Peeta is a fake. I think the only reason he likes Katniss is so that they would survive the games. That whole deal about him giving her the burned bread just may prove me wrong in the end though. I hated the ending, especially when the next book won’t be out for a very long time.

  13. Amy Git r Done says:

I read it during the weekend (being sick with a stomach bug gave me a lot of free time!) and I enthusiastically enjoyed it. It is another one I want to read to see if I can catch any foreshadowing at the beginning. The characters were all genuine individuals. I liked seeing all the sides of Haymitch. One odd duck, that one, but I love how even Katniss begins to understand him by the end–all that money, no family, from loser District 12–how he could easily become the drunken slob that he often is. Katniss amazed me how she can slip into her different roles required of her because of the Hunger Games. She has to be tough to survive, but she also has to become a beautiful, engaging young woman to earn sponsors to increase her chances of survival. Then the whole thing with Peeta…I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t know how you couldn’t just fall in love with him! Yeah, there’s “bread boy” versus Gale, totally opposite ends of the spectrum. But at least Peetah came out with his feelings, whereas Gale is sheltering his heart because he’d rather keep Katniss as a best friend rather than scare her away. I don’t think Peetah is putting on a cover for the games, because he was friendly to her before and afterward. Plus Haymitch always telling her that Peeta is already “there” when he tells her to act like she’s in love with Peeta. The ended almost made me stop breathing–to just leave a cliffhanger like that! All afternoon I’ve been analyzing the title of the next book, Catching Fire. Now the Hunger Games are over, what else of the story is there to tell? Of course, the love triangle between Peeta, Gale, and Katniss has to be explored. And I wonder if it’ll jump ahead in time to where Katniss and Peetah become coaches for the next year’s Hunger Games. Of course the fire probably alludes to District 12’s coal mining, so it makes me wonder if most of the next book takes place at home. I’m glad everyone seemed to enjoy it. Even though I spent much of my weekend puking my guts out and enduring a splitting headache, I couldn’t help picking it back up again!

    LOVE THE SHOW!

  14. Brittany "Shields" says:

IF YOU READ ME ON AIR IT WILL MAKE MY WEEK!

    anyways lol. love you guy.=]
I really enjoyed Hunger Games but I have to admit I was ready for more lovin to be going on lol. But I like how it was action-packed and kept me reading. I think I finished in like a day lol. I’m kinda team switzerland on these guys Peeta and Gail (does anyone not think its wierd how his name is a bread?) lol *anyways*
I love how kind Peeta is but I feel like Katniss is attracted to Gail in a physical way since talks about his body a lil much lol…
Anyone wonder how those failed contestants turned into wolf ppl? That really brought the book into the fantasy realm for me.

  15. Brittany "Shields" says:

    i meant *guys*…its late when i typed this…

  16. Joanna Mariscal says:

    aaaaAaaAh!!
    i haven’t read it yet!!
I’m on a LOOOOOng waiting list in my school library…..
i want to read it so badly…..i sounds like a pretty good book!

  17. Alice Hale says:

Hmmm….. What do I like about the Hunger Games??? EVERYTHING!!! I mean whats not to like??!! But i have to say that my fave part of the book would have to be the way the author works in the idea of almost forced love. Not like arranged marriges more like Katniss and Peta had to put on the act of loving eachother but that almost forced them to fall in love with eachother. But ya love the show! You guys are randomely, awesomly funny.

  18. Neva says:

I loved this book and screamed out loud when END of book one appeared! Are you kidding!?! I can’t wait for the next installment. I loved these characters and cried when sweet Rue died.
P.s. Don’t be afraid to read books that are in the Young adult section, there are some real gems there and no sex/swearing which rocks. (Just because I am not a young adult anymore (30yrs old) doesn’t mean I want sex/swearing in my literature!)

  19. Nicole says:

hey! First off I love your podcast! I know this has nothing to do about the question of the week but I didn’t know where else to post this. On iTunes twilight is the number one bought movie and that’s just from the preorders since it’s not avalible yet! I just thought this was cool that twilight is already selling more copies of the movie by preordering than movies that are already avaliable. Keep up the good work!

  20. Kelsey says:

I thought the book was great and I can’t wait for the second one (which is coming out sometime in Septemer, I believe).
I don’t necessarily think that fans of Twilight will be fans of The Hungers Games. They are two very different books. Great books yes, but still very different.
Love the podcast, keep up the good work!

  21. Cedar says:

I have not read the Hunger Games but I REALLY want to I am going to a book shopping soon and might get it.
    love the podcast,
    Cedar

  22. Fritzi says:

LOVED IT! I sat down to read it, I mean start it, on a Friday night at 7pm. I stopped around 9pm to put my six year old to bed and then didn’t stop reading until I had finished the book around 2am. It totally sucked me in. Talk about a gut wrenching end! I can’t wait for the second book to come out. Will Katniss make it right with Peeta? Will she have the same feelings for Gale now that she has been through this monumentous ordeal with Peeta? Will she realize that Gale has been holding back on her and get really angry with him? The suspense is too much. September can’t come soon enough. I fell in love with Peeta and can’t help hoping that he ends up with Katniss in the end.

  23. Kelly says:

First off let me say that I am really SHOCKED that you haven’t finished reading it yet, Kassie. When I was reading it, once I got to the beginning of the games I couldn’t put it down! There is so much about this book that I like. The funny thing is was that when I read the back of the book, I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like it but I found it for a cheap price and was looking for something new so I thought, what the heck, and bought it. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me shake from fear and adrenaline. I couldn’t stop thinking about it when it was done. I think my favorite scene is when Katniss is trapped in the tree with the Careers waiting for her at the bottom and how she proves that wits and skill are stronger than brute strength. I can’t wait to read what happens in the next book and how the turn of events will affect Katniss and Peeta. Also will Katniss get the chance to meet Rue and Thresh’s family and how will that meeting be viewed by the Capitol? And is there more than meets the eye with District 13?

  24. gabby says:

i can’t believe you haven’t finished it yet!

i have to say it was an amazing book and was completely happy with what happened in the book. i think the author is writing a second one, which someone had already wrote might be coming out in september? the way she ended the book allows for so much more to be written, and i hope she follows through with it because it was such a great story. this storyline is completely different than that of the twilight series, but it was still one to cherish! (ahah, weird word much?)

anyway, i highly reccommend this book to anyone who needs something to read. =)

  25. Shamika says:

I just wanted to say I’m with you Kassie it took me a while to finish the book too, not cause I didn’t like it, I loved it and can’t wait till September. I didn’t enjoy all the violence and murder but I wanted her (Katniss) to survive so bad I found myself emotionally drained at the end of most chapters. I think what I liked best was the romance and when the book ended I found myself wondering can these two people have a real relationship (Katniss and Peeta) because you know the capital will continue to watch them after they were made a fool of? and if so how? because Kat doesn’t think she can have a normal like in this society and I can’t say that I blame her.

    I love the show.

  26. marissav says:

I read the hunger games last month when I was in Palm Springs with my best friend, another twilight fan. I was reading The Hunger Games, and she was reading her history book for our finals. After I finished it and told her about it, she was interested. The clincher was when I told her Stephanie Meyer recommended it. We traded books. On the way back the next week, we both discussed the book at length. She thought it was alright, but she didn’t like the ending. She thought it was too abrupt and that Katniss and Peeta should have gotten together like they pretended too. She also wondered if there would be anymore scenes involving Rue’s family and friends in the next book. I on the other hand liked the book, especially the idea of faking a relationship and having it become real. The only thing I didn’t like was the wolves. I thought they were slightly random and that part felt sort of out of place.

  27. Jessica Fillmore says:

Bought the book yesterday…finished it today. Which says a lot, i have 3 kiddies and a house to constantly clean…so needless to say no sleep last night. But worth it! Iloved all the characters and their stories, but what I really want to know is what really happened in our world..for life to become like this…..I hope in the next book she explores more of the past…. and I pray I’m not right…. but (supporters speculation) I have a feeling Prim has not seen the last of The Hunger Games…will her name be pulled again!!?? Does anyone notice a close correlation to this book and the short story The Lottery?? I kept thinking about that story, which I haven’t read in 11 years…it has the same feel . Can’t wait for the next book to come out, but I have to say Twilight makes me more positive…with the way the World seems to be it feel like where we are sometimes heading is not so far of from the book.

  28. McKell says:

    Hey Kallie and Kassie!
I’m so excited your doing a show on this 🙂 This book is almost like my new twilight! I adore this book, its so well written and it just brings you into the book! I won’t go into any details on the plot because i’m not sure how far kassie is into it, but its way good, i read it in a matter of like 8 hours lawls. So anywho if you ever want to talk i’m game!

  29. Shannah says:

IT WAS FANTASTIC! It has a perfect balance of everything: Action and romance, likable characters (not Mary Sues or Gary Stus, but not flawed to the point of it being annoying). I liked it almost as much as the Twilight series, I think. Definately more than The Host. I had to read the book twice in a row because it was so good and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Does anyone else not like Prim? I can’t stand her. But I loved Rue. As for the whole Peeta/Gale thing… I like them both. Both would be good for Katniss. BUT I hope that Gale doesn’t really like her that way so that she will pick Peeta with no strings attatched. I love Peeta.<3 I don’t think that’ll happen though, I think (based on the hints in the book) that Katniss will have to choose between them in the next book.
Um… oh yeah. In Catching Fire, I think there will be a revolution (like in the Shadow Children series). The way she left it off made it obvious that what Katniss did was unforgivable, and with the Games being over, SOMETHING has to happen for the next two books. Makes perfect sense.
Back to Peeta. Seriously, I loooooove him and that’s really saying something coming from me because I usually hate blondes. *swoon*

  30. Rachel C. says:

Is there anyone out there team switzerland for peeta and gale right now besides me?? i love how gale has a mysterious vibe and he seems like he and katniss would be perfect for eachother, but on the other hand, peeta is just so darn sweet! i can’t decide! help me decide! anyone??

  31. Jill says:

I loved the book. True to Stephanie’s words “I could not put it down” once I started reading. Loved Katniss and Peeta. I think Haymitch is much smarter than he let’s on and will play an even bigger role in future books. I think the biggest shocker of the book was the muttations. At first I thought they were just really large wolves. Then when Katniss starts describing their characteristics I realized what they truly were and was horrified. While I thought the purpose of the Hungar Games was pretty barbaric to begin with, what they did to the “losers” goes well beyond barbaric. I wonder of Suzanne Collins will revisit this in “Catching Fire”? What’s your take on the muttations?

  32. LinaMV says:

THE HUNGER GAMES MADE ME PEE IN MY PANTS!!!!!!!!! I FELL IN LOVE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello hello. Kallie and Kassie (i love your names *sigh*) first of all I wanted to say that I looooove your podcast and I’ve been listening to it in my iPod everywhere I go, you guys make me laugh so hard that my parents have to ask what I’m doing. hihi. Anyways, I’m a big twilight fan and I always visit Stephenie’s website. So when I read she was recomending The Hunger Games I said “Oh well, it sounds ok but I’ll just read it anyways” (im sorry i making this long) so I ordered it. I read a little of it and got bored, but pushed myself to finish it. Once Peeta was called up I knew in that instant that they were going to fall in love, or be really good friends, I felt it. Specially because of the way she talked about him, how they both had an experience together, it’s always a way for authors to connect the two characters. When Peeta talked about his crush and said it outloud during the interviews, I felt my stomach literally fall, I was so excited and all these emotions started to creep up ( I know it’s a littl exagerated but I’m like that), I did NOT like the way Katniss reacted. So when they started fighting in the arena and he started attacking her (in a way) I kept on telling myself, NO, there must be reason why he is doing that! NO WAY he’s going to let her exposed like that. The book is just action packed and overwhelming (in a good way) all over the place, there are so many things going on and a lot of things you dont expect happen and I loved it because it kept on surprising me, I felt goosebumps, laughed, cryed and even fell for Peeta. I’m so sorry i wrote so much… you can grab some parts or none at all its alright. I’ll just say my last point. I think the ending was amazing it served its purpose, left you hanging, you know when you kiss someone and you want to go on but know its better not to because he’ll keep on wanting more, thats exactly what I felt with that ending and it made me wonder what I would do if I was Katniss in that situation, with someone you know that loves you is back home and almost declared himself before you left. Its almost like a love triangle which makes everything more intriging, and it chatches more audiences becasue there isn’t only a love story, but the political aspect is there too and going against the law for what you know is right ethics. Its a hooker to find out how they’ll fight the country.
well well kisses and ill be listening.

I know this has nothing to do with the question but I live in LaGrande OR. and i am going to Portland if there is any fun twilight things there please tell me. THANKS!!!!!

  34. Matt says:

One Big Freakin Word…….”WOOOOOOOOOW”! Tisk Tisk Kassie, making us have to wait for the HUnger games podcast. I read that book in 2 days. I loved it!!! I am sort of ticked because they left us on a cliff hanger but I guess this will be a new series. And also, Rennesme compared to Katniss, doesnt soung to bad anymore. = P

  35. Marianne says:

Hunger Games is awesome. Katniss’s struggles with trying to keep herself alive..and figure out what is going on with her rival in the Games..what is real..and what’s just for ratings is intense. She is a scrapper–a survivor..Her family back home is depending on her..and there is a boy back home..that is always at the back of her mind… She is a strong character–but doesn’t realize how beautiful she is (remind you of anyone–?Bella was completely unaware of how others saw her too).

    Can’t wait for the sequel!

  36. kelsey says:

i haven’t read it yet, but i heard it awesome

  37. twilightlover says:

I LOVED this book! I have read it over at least 20 times! I can’t wait for Catching Fire, the second book. It’s coming out on Aug 5! Yay! There is also a third book, but I don’t know when that is gonna come out. I LOVED Peeta ( Edwards better though)! I liked Katniss to, but she is very annoying sometimes. If you havn’t read the book, read it right now! I could not put it down and finished it in one night!

  38. melissa says:

I just finished The Hunger Games….this is not a typical read for me at all, and I guess the Twilight Series was not either. I thought it was a good book, but not my favorite (that would still be Twilight). Maybe it is because I have a daughter that will be three soon, and the idea of something like The Hunger Games is just disturbing to me….I dunno poor kids being forced to kill each other, just doesn’t sit well with me. I loved Katniss, who forced to be the rock and foundation for her family at such a young age essentially helped secure her spot in wining the games. I liked seeing the relationship with her and Rue, and I did cry when Rue died. I also really loved Peeta’s character. Just being able to see his true love for Katniss did it for me and seeing Katniss nurse him back to health. I was so mad at the end of the story when Claudis Templesmith announced “Greeting to the final contestants of the Seventy-fourth Hunger Games. The earlier revision has been revoked. Closer examination of the rule book has disclosed that only one winner may be allowed.” I put the book down, I couldn’t believe it. Thank goodness that did change. Poor Katniss now is all confused with her feelings between sweet Peeta and Gale….I hope Peeta wins but of course we all have to wait to see.

  39. Joe says:

At first, I was skeptical about reading this. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. Even on the second read, I was thrilled by the action. I absolutely loved this book. Thanks to Stephenie Meyer for recommending this.

  40. Laura says:

I haven’t read it yet! Well since I’m here I might as well write. Love the Podcast! Kassie should totally read twilight again. What do you think of Dakota Fanning as Jane? You guys should totally do a podcast about your dream breaking dawn. Love the podcast! Make another one soon!

  41. nancy says:

I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES! it’s touching, but sometimes scary, JUST LIKE THE TWILIGHT SERIES!

  42. avii says:

    hey!
i have a lttle question: is there a translation to german?
i would like to read it, but my english is to bad for it xD.
    greez from switzerland.

  43. Emily says:

I loved it! I thought it was a really great romance book with some great adventure and excitement in it! I hope Suzanne Collins writes a sequel because I have just GOT to know what happens next!

  44. Casey says:

I loved the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It was very suspenseful. I love romance books, but this one had a very interesting twist because the true question is, Is it true love or just a show? I hope there is a sequel because the end left me hanging. Who ever hasn’t read it should. It was totally awesome.

  45. Stacey M. says:

I LOVE THE BOOK! I can totally see why Stephenie Meyer suggested it as a must read. I have read it sooo many times! I own the entire Twilight series (Ha! Who doesn’t) and all the audio books. I will own the entire Hunger Games series and audio books! This is such a treat. Now the Twilight is done I need a new obession and I have found it. It is just wonderful. I get really excited about new books and I am so happy for the young readers of this day and age. When I was a teenager there wasn’t books available that could compare. Unless you were into The babysitter’s club. My children can look forward to reading Harry Potter, Twilight, and Hunger Games with me.

  46. Jennifer T says:

I read between 4 and 8 books a month, and the Hunger Games was such a fantastic novel it was the first book that I felt compelled to comment on at Amazon.com. I read it (three times, back-to-back) in September 2008 and I remember the story stayed with me for weeks, I still find myself thinking of particular passages on occasion. According to the official web page at Scholastic, this was the first in a three book trilogy. The second is scheduled to be released this September and it is called “Catching Fire” (which supportst my theory for what the second book is about, yea!). I’ve even visited the chat area at Scholastic, just to see what others thought of the book and I’m always puzzled with the Peeta vs. Gale topic as Gale’s character wasn’t developed enough to determine if he is the right guy for Katniss. I’m quite the Peeta fan and one of my favorite lines in the book is when Katniss gets close to finding him buried in mud and he says something to the effect of, coming to finish me off, sweetheart? At least that’s how I remember it in my head. I laughed, I cried, and I couldn’t put it down. Since discovering Twilight over a year ago and The Hunger Games more recently, I’ve really begun to question if the genre of Young Adult should be revisited or re-titled. I find that I’m enjoying books that are marketed for (notice I didn’t say, written for) young adults and at 37, I’m certainly not in the correct demographic to be buying these books, according to the publishers. Stephenie has always said that she wrote Twilight for herself, a 29/30 year old mother; and I believe Suzanne Collins was probably doing the same. She wrote a good story that happens to be about a 16 year old girl, but appeals to a much wider audience. I’m very much looking forward to the next book, and am hoping that Katinss becomes not just the hero of district 12, but of a new, democratic country, by the end of book 3.

  47. Samantha says:

I absolutely loved the Hunger Games! I don’t think I have really enjoyed reading a story so much since Eclipse! I really liked how there was such a great emphasis on the importance of food and being well-feed when food is so hard to come by. Every thing pretty much revolved around it because it is the top priority for Katniss. I felt so sad when Rue died, but I guess I saw it coming. The games honestly kept me on the edge of my seat. And I just love Peeta!!! There is that whole Gale issue left unresolved. Is he going to feel betrayed? Wont the Capitol notice when Katniss and Gale are not a couple anymore when they return home? I feel like they would try to keep an eye on them after standing up to them during the games so maybe Katniss and Gale would have to continue to put on a “show” Another perfect love triangle…I love it.
    Gah! I need a sequel!!!!!

Thanks Twilight Series Theories for compelling me to pick it up this weekend…its been sitting on my book shelf for entirely too long

I haven’t finished it yet because i’ve only just had time to start reading it. So far my only comments are that i find it annoying that it’s written in the present tense – (e.g) ‘I take a bread roll and sit next to peeta’ is harder to read than if it was ‘i took a bread roll and sat next to peeta’

I have not yet to read the book but I’m planning on doing it this weekend. I’ve heard only great things about it but I’m sad I won’t be listening to the podcasts because I just don’t want to be ruined with spoilers which I had to do with the host. I was wondering if you guys wouldn’t do book summaries because it just ruins the books for people who haven’t read them yet.
or I could just skip those episodes but I WOULD MISS YOU GUYS TOO MUCH 🙂

THanks for all you do girls love the podcast !
