Why would DF NEED NM for publicity?! She is one heck of an actress and gets jobs just fine on her own!!! And who is to say she isn’t “one of us?” just because of a comment she made like atleast a month ago! Perhaps she has read Twilight by now and really digs it?! And if she hasn’t or isn’t yet, lets incourage her! If I wasn’t a Twilight fan and saw all of this, I would dislike a lot of not all Twilighters for being so judgemental. It isn’t like she is out there bashing any of the books, cast, fans ect!!! Give her a break! This is just craziness!!! Maybe Jane isn’t some 14 yearold girl, but Edward is some 21 year old guy. Again I say, not many were excited about Robert playing Edward, and look almost all just LOVE him as Edward!!! I really am disappointed in a lot of Twilighters, I thought we were more mature and accepting then this!!!!!! I would also like to add has anyone heard yet form summit what exactly she is getting paid? Perhaps it isn’t as much as you think. It is acutally common for an actor or actress to take a cut out of their pay check to be in a movie they are really supportive of! If her being in the movie upsets you all to much then just don’t see the movie! OR seeing as her part is like the smallest in NM then just take a pee break!!!!!

I think that Dakota Fanning will do a great job playing Jane…she is a wonderful actress! She has played EXTREMELY challenging roles and roles of all kinds. I agree about the money tho…but even tho Twilight was good, it could have been better! The series is AMAZING and I have read them twice…As a teacher, a mom of a teenage daughter, etc. I loved them! Edward and Bella were such great character and I really fell in love with them, could not wait to read more…BUT I do believe that they could have picked a better Edward if we are all sharing our feelings here! Robert is a good looking guy, but the book makes him BEAUTIFUL…I am not really sure who could play him…??????? So now that Robert has started he needs to stay! Cant believe that they thought he could be changed! Anyway, I love the series and the movie was good…CANT WAIT for New Moon!

wow, alot of people on here sounds like an immature with all the dramatic OMGS and NOOOO’s. Get a grip. This is why Kristen is getting so annoyed. While i dont like the things that she says as she is blunt honest, this shows me just how crazy and psychotic the fans can be. Just calm down and let Dakota Fanning prove to us if she can do this.

how can you guys say that dakota doesn’t look like Jane?….. there isn’t an actual picture of Jane, it’s what you envision her to be… and she is an awesome actress very well capable of playing complex roles.. not just a the snotty girl from uptown girls. Seriously have you guys not seen Hide and Seek and Push? .. i suggest you go ahead and do so because she can pretty much pull any character off. Go Dakota Fanning for Jane.. she is an excellent choice.

i agree with all the noooooooooooos. not that i have anything against her i just think she doesnt fit that role right. shes too sweet to play one of the volturi. plus im not excited about edward leaving that mean more jacob. ugh. anyway whats done is done. but i hope im wrong about her and she does a good job.

She will do a stunning job. I am so happy for her and the movie? Why the heck to you guys want un-known actors for this movie? The better the first two movies are, the better the chance of the following books coming out sooner and better. Get over it, she’s a great actor who can portray Jane’s character. Stop hating. yayyyy for her. I hope she exceeds my expectations because of all the haters, which you call fans.

Hey, she might do a good job, remember what we all said about Rob playing Edward? Yeah, they could have saved money, but give it a chance, don’t bash it until you see it. She is the only person who I could see playing Jane, she can do it. Just everybody breathe.
