so im re-reading new moon again and i started crying (like pooring rain)during the breackup chapter i hated that chapter i was sooo mad that edward left!!!! but all the anger evaporated when he came back (i cant help it hes irresistible)

I can agree with most of you when I say that I absolutely balled my eyes out when I read the breakup part in New moon. I just got the series on Sunday, and I am already on Eclipse. My husband looked at me as if I were insane when I started crying!! Alot of people say they didn’t like the book because Edward wasn’t in it, and I can agree that it was depressing because of that, but at the same time, it was incredible to know what kind of love Bella really has for him to be able to save him the way she did. I thought it was absolutely awesome!!! I can’t wait to finish the books…even though I know I’m going to read them again when I’m done!!

Yeah, I’m re-reading New Moon right now. It never fails to make me cry when Edward leaves. The first person perspective has a way of making you feel like the character. I felt Bella’s physical pain. It’s the worst feeling I’ve ever had when reading. I would like to know what Edward was doing and his thoughts, where he went, if he drove every other member of his family crazy with his stubborn self-loathing. He doesn’t need to loathe anything about himself!!! I think he told Bella he went to South America for a while didn’t he? I can’t remember exactly. I don’t read New Moon a whole lot because I’m itching to turn the pages to the end. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jacob, but he’s not Edward. Plain and simple.

so you say Bella didnt fight enough well believe me i fought enough for everyone im telling you !
i so cried so muchh !
Even though new moon was extremely depressing it was my favorite, because it did bring out so many emotions.
so here is my idea: I think that Renesmee and Jake should have kids and Leah should imprint on their son so shes dating a part vampire, part werewolf, part human; because Leah needs some love too ! Also to add our little conflict Edward and Bella on the other hand will face the Volturi again, but no for Renesmee but for their grandchild, for the Volturi dont know what will he do in the future and the danger that proceeds.
btw, i love your podcast and THE TWILIGHT SAGA ROCKS !

If you leave out the Breakup Scene then how will you set up everything that happens with Bella and Jacob. The Breakup it the entire back bone of the book. I just hope that New Moon the Movie is more like the book then Twilight was. I didn’t like the added scenes on twilight that didn’t happen in the book. Or the changing of the location of some of the parts. Stephanie wrote the book the way she did for a reason. So don’t change an part of New Moon.

New Moon is my least favorite of the saga. The bad part: Edward isn’t there for the most part and Bella is driving me anxious. The good part: werewolves, Volturri (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and the ending (technically, before the epilogue). But you’re right, the break up is an essential part of the New Moon. I wish they would show what Edward is doing the entire time he wasn’t with Bella because I really miss Edward for 300 pages. I mean, they did show what was going on during the burning scene with Bella. I hope they do the same with Edward during his entire absence. I think I would like the movie better than the book this time.

I would certainly hope that they would put the break up in the movie. how can you even think about having New Moon without the break up. It’s like having chocolate milk without the chocolate. I have already imagined what the movie would look like.
it would open up to a dark night woods. You would see lights coming from all directions and people calling out to Bella. Then they would frame in on Bella laying in the ferns. She would begin recalling what just all happened, that’s when it would start up to the birthday scene. Then continue from there. I think that would be great. So you can see the break up is the most important part to setting the rest of the movie up. If Edward was there no one would focus on Jacob. Or at least try to get to know Jacob. Love the podcast.

Well… I was reading the outtakes on Stephenie Meyer’s website and she wrote a bit about where Edward was during his absence in the book. It said that he left he was tracking down Victoria to keep Bella safe, yet at the same time he was still coping from his break up from Bella by isolating himself from the rest of the Cullens by not answering his phone and just keeping to himself in the woods.

But I have somewhat a SUPPORTER SPECULATIOOOOOOOOOON (I wish I could sing as awesome as Kassie… but I think I caught her cold. jk) I thought, before reading the outtakes, that he would randomly check up on her in the beggining or have someone like Alice or Jasper to keep a quick look to see if she’s alright, but then Bella kept going to see Jacob on the reservation so they could not keep up with her, so Edward decided to give up checking on he thought Bella replaced him with Jacob.

Thank you for your show! And just to let you know, from your episode about what the different names represent in Twilight, you helped me decide my future kids’ names will definately be Alice and Anthony (Edward’s middle name). Even though I’m seventeen, I know that they will hold those names. You guys rock!!

Hey Kallie and Kassie! This is my first time commenting to any of y’all podcasts so…sorry for the awkwardness of this comment.

Okay, so, when I heard this week’s podcast – Week #52 The Break Up – I laughed when the comment about’s Taylor’s abnormally white and shiny teeth coming up again. And I forget who exactly mentioned, “We need a song to go with this,” because you guys were singing songs according to comments and stuff (rofl, I do that sometimes with my sister too).

Well, I don’t know if you guys know about the cartoon tv series THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS on Nickelodeon, but in there, a character singer, Chip skylark, is obsessed with his “pearly whites”. So, cracking up throught my hunt for this song on youtube, i found the song (sadly not the video, but with clipart) and thought it was an appropriate song to sing when you guys bring up Taylor’s – Jacob’s – teeth again! XD
