  3. Luna Eclipse says:

I want her to be on the soundtrack!

  4. Sophie says:

It would be cool if she was on the soundtrack. But I don’t know if her music has the right vibe for NM. Does anyone get what I’m saying? The twilight soundtrack was really dark and New Moons’ soundtrack is going to have to be even darker. More like something from Evanescence or something similar. But if they do use her song, it going to pull all the fans of her in also and that means more people going to see New Moon!!! (And this all leads up to an EVEN bigger budget for Eclipse).

Can’t wait to see the first OFFICIAL trailer tonight!

    Rock on! \m/

  5. Judith Akufo says:

I like her music, but I really want New Moon to have a darker sound. As an above poster said like Evanesence or Within Temptation… Maybe some more Linkin Park and my personal favorite… Incubus. Hello, Earth To Bella Pt. 1 is totaly New Moon with lyrics that say “Earth to Bella, I see where you are not listening, I bear the burden of being the voice that let’s you know, we all grow old, and before you swim you’ve gotta be ok to sink……”

Anyway, Kelly Clarkson is great… Just not somone I want on the soundtrack. However, after Chris Weitz ruined About A Boy with crappy music, I don’t have much faith in this coming soundtrack. How can he think that dropping rap tracks in place of what should have been Nirvana is acceptable?! So far New Moon seems quite close to the book, unlike About A Boy. I digress.

Hmm….I don’t know if I would want her on the soundtrack. Why do they keep getting things that mostly teenybopper’s like? Why not Coldplay, Radiohead, Deftones, or Evanescence?

  11. my-personal-brand-of-heroin says:

    i’m not sure
lyrics wise quite a few of the songs of her album breakaway could be twilight related but none really fit the tone
i agree with evanescence being more right for the tone but i dunno
i’ll have to wait till i hear it

  12. Jessikah says:

i’m not sure about ‘did you’
but i defintley think ‘haunted’ is perfect 😀
    love kelly clarkson too..

  13. AMY KAT says:

I’m a Clarkson fan for sure, I can’t comment on the song she wrote… because I agree with having a dark undertone to the music for New Moon. There aren’t too many “happy-go-lucky fluff” moments in New Moon, but you may be surprised what she wrote. It just may suit the movie wonderfully.

So here’s my tid bit on the soundtrack. Look up, All Around Me- Flyleaf, get a good imagine of Bella walking up to the cliff and jumping…. in the water hearing his voice… yadda yadda. Does anyone feel like that’s an awesome combonation of scene and song?

    OR MAYBE IT’S JUST ME!

    XOXO

Anyone who is a fan of Kelly Clarkson should know she definitely has a deep darkside. She’s not just what is popular. She is a real musician. Listen to her songs ‘Addicted’, ‘Haunted’, and in particular, ‘Irvine’. ‘Irvine’, which she wrote, is where she shows the vulnerability of her very soul, not just for some story.
