Casting For Eclipse Is Underway

Jun 1st, 2009 | By | Category: Featured Articles, Movie News

According to E! Online, casting for Eclipse, which begins filming in August, is already underway!  Here is a sample of what they are looking for:

Riley “is a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria,” the notice reads. He’s in his early to mid 20s and “plays an integral role in Victoria’s attempt to murder Bella Swan.”

There are two more members of the Quileute tribe and La Push wolf pack in Eclipse. Like New Moon, they are looking for Native American or First Nations actors to fill the roles.

“Seth Clearwater is a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin,” the notice reads. “Seth idolizes Jacob.”

Seth’s big sister is 19-year-old Leah Clearwater and the only female member of La Push: “She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”

dang. if i could rock the short black hair, i could totally play Leah. L=

  10. Elle says:

Robby- I think they’re making him older so because they can say “oh Seth? He’s only 15” and Bella can be like “0_o! He looks so much older!” and they can say “Yeah, it’s a wolf thang!”

And then they should strike a gangsta pose.

    😀

  11. Kasha says:

They didn’t say anything about Seth’s age- just Leah and Riley

(see above): “Seth Clearwater is a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin,” the notice reads.”

For Riley, I really like Chris Hemsworth (he played George Kirk, Jim Kirk’s father in the new Star Trek). I like how clean cut and cute he is, plus, you want to feel bad for him when Edward is trying to convince him that Victoria is just using him but see how ‘young’ he is a susceptible to her appeal.

I like Tyler Posey for Seth. (http://dazzlingtwilight.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/tyler-posey.jpg)

I haven’t yet found the perfect Leah yet.

BTW, I heard rumors that people want Ryan Reynolds to play Garrett… I hate that idea. He’s supposed to have “an adventurous spirit” and come off heroic and patriotic. Ryan Reynolds does many things well, humor, sincerity, but he doesn’t given off the heroic vibe to me. I like Taylor Kitsch for Garrett (he played Pogue Perry in The Covenant and Gambit in Wolverine Origins). And I like Laura Harris for Kate.
    What do people think?

Casting notice three: Leah Clearwater, who is “tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair,” and would’ve been considered beautiful if not for “the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”

  18. Sarah says:

  19. Sally says:

I think blake jones should be the new seth clearwater

  20. I have read all the books and loved them. But unlike the usual movie of the book franchise, the twilight saga on the screen, for me, lives up to the world Meyer created. Beautiful stars, stunning cinematics and a sound track that rocks (huge Muse fan). Loved it and can’t wait for eclipse. Guess i’ll just have to read the books again.
