Kristen shouldn’t be that upset. Joan is a tough woman and shouldn’t be expected to tell everything is a nice sweet way. Plus, Kristen is playing HER for God’s sakes – she’s not gonna do it properly unless she gets a few pointers. But in light of that, Kristen is young and may not be used to Joan’s ways.

everyone saying kristen deserved the criticism are saying its because joan has the right to do it but how would YOU feel if you were kristen? she’s trying her best & supportive words are needed. & you’ll notice that joan HAD to apologize. so, im assuming that if she didnt have to apologize then she probably wouldnt have.

I love Kristen so I wish she could be happy all the time. But I also think she’s the kind of person who won’t be happy unless she gets the job done right, so maybe this was necessary. If so, looking back, I’m sure she (Kristen) will understand. I also hope she takes a break if it gets to be too much–there’s more to life than just work!

I also wish they had casted someone else (like Emily Brown – that was stephanie´s favourite). As that´s not going to happen anymore, and we have to look at Kristen in New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn I wish that she listens to what people say. So she can learn and improve…

I’ve been reduced to tears on film sets. Its part of the biz. Joan Jett has every right to be critical, especially if Kristen Stewart was doing something wrong. She plays most of her characters exactly the same. No offense, I do like her… BUT she does have the tics that have been pointed out. Its like she’s awkward or uncomfortable in her skin, in everything! Pushing the hair behind the ears, chewing her bottom lip or sucking on it, blinking a LOT, hand in pocket and hunched shoulders, or hunching and clinging to the straps of her backpack. There are more than that, but I can’t think of how to explain them. Anyway, sorry to complain!

I agree with Amanda- I personally can’t even watch Twilight because Kristen’s tics make me bananas. I think she really sucked as Bella, and Bella came across as a standoffish bitch in the movie, rather than painfully shy and nice.
Anyway, yeah, go Joan Jett- if someone was playing me and shaking and twitching and not able to get out a complete sentence I’d knock her out. Especially if I was Joan Jett!

i wish stephenie meyer had stepped in, kristen is a pretty good actress, ill admit, but she has ticks that she always does in her performances. pushing her hair back behind her eyes, blinking, ect.
joan jett is entitled to saying what she wants, how would you feel if you saw what you thought was a mediocre impression of you, instead of giving true characteristics of your life story?

i love kristen but some of her acting is a bit iffy….. you know shes a bit breathy with everything even when its not needed…joan might have taken it too far but some ones gotta tell you ya know? i mean no one can say kristen is some amazing actress, she has alot of learning to do and im ok with it and wouldnt want anyone else to play bella but her (shes so beautiful and has the total awkward bella down) but on a performance level shes not the best.
