    Hey gurls,
What i think of the volturi? Well for me, they’re really cool and mysterious. I think they might be protrayed as maybe villians (i forgot how to spell that word hehe sorry if it’s wrong but i hope it’s right) or maybe as the book says, royalty. I really want to see the scene where they have the feast on the people that heidi rangled up outside. I just really find it interesting and might give me thrills hehe. i know in the book it really doesn’t describe or shows that they eat or whatever but yah its cool for me…

ok i think that because the volturi play such a big part in the next books and because their part in New Moon is not that long i think that in the movie their part will be pretty exact to the book. one thing i think they need is to be clearly diffrent than the cullens. somthing either the light or makeup must create a darker scarier vibe. i do hope that we see the humans walking in to be eaten but i dont want it to be some horrer movie so edward would cover her eyes. now for bellas depression months i would love to see a blank screen then they would flash the months. that would be i think the most true to the book. then the screen could go black and you would hear bellas voice “time passes slowly…” i think that would be as powerful as it was in the book. now for powers i think it would be very intresting to see janes power on edward. as for Aro i would love to when he touches bella see a flashback of twilight. and it would be interesting to see when aro touches alice. it would give the direction the oppotunity to see into alices head somthing that the book could never do. im also interested in how they do the sparkles this time now that they have a bigger budget. Love the podcast … but who dosent

    Hiya girls

I think the Volturi are going to be even more mysterious and eerie than they were portrayed in the books.
I love the Volturi Cast and I’m looking forward to see Dakota Fanning as Jane, everyone who’s seen Hide and Seek will
know that she can definitely be scary, like ice-cold-shivers-running-down-your-spine scary.
And her on-screen brother, Cameron Bright is also going to be really creepy as well.

Because they had a lot more money for New Moon, loads of special effects will be sooo much better.
I think we’re really going to see the blood red eyes of the Volturi from far apart and their white, powdery skin and all that.
But other than that I hope the capture that feeling of powerful, ancient and royal group of immortals everyone mortal and almost every vampire’s afraid of.
Beautiful to look at but absolutely lethal.

I hope we see a fair amount of Volturi action, because they play a hudge role in Breaking Dawn.
I know there’s sooo much they wanna squeeze in 2 hours.
The Break-up – Bella´s meltdown – her friendship with Jacob – The wolfpack – volterra – and finally the volturi

    But I’m being optimistic.

    Love the show.

P.s. Vienna’s not in Italy, it’s in Austria, we speak german. <3
But it was very sweet that you tried to say hin to me in italian, that made my day.

  5. Jess says:

    Hi Girls,
Personally, I think that the Volturi will be a little different in the movie, but I’m hoping that they won’t be too different. I want them to be very sinister and ominous, but not in a really obvious way. If it’s too obvious, it’s probably going to look a little horror movie, so I’m hoping that Aro will be incredibly sweet and kind on the surface, but that we will stil be able to tell that his is a little insane beneath the surface.
I think that casting Dakota Fanning as Jane will work really well, because Dakota Fanning also looks really innocent and young, but she is such a good actress that I think she will capture Jane’s evil side. I was surprised however, that they were keeping Heidi in the movie, because I didn’t think that the focus would be as much on the volturi as it was on the wolf pack, and Heidi is not a central character to the volturi.
I really hope that they keep the scene with all of the humans inside Volterra, waiting to be eaten. I think that this will clearly distinguish them from the cullens, plus, if they come off a little evil now, that will help when they make Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, because we will know that they have an evil side, and it will forshadow how little respect the Volturi seem to have for life/existence in general. Plus that scene was just plain creepy!
Finally, I really hope that they keep the scene with the tunnels in it, because whilst Edward is out of immediate danger, leading him and Bella down a series of dark tunnels shows that they aren’t fully out of danger!
    Loving the Podcast

  6. gossupgirl says:

Well i’m looking forward to how they make edwards voice in bellas head,
love the podcast girlfriends xoxox gossupgirl

  7. Peri says:

    Hey Kassie and Kallie!

I think(i hope, i pray.) that they will do a fantastic job of portraying the volturi. I see pale faces and flowing, floor length robes that just scream “be very afraid….cuz i will eat you.”.

I also hope they get their faces just right. ya know the whole angelic yet terrifiying. cuz they HAVE to be scary!!!!

I personally am excited for every volturi scene in the whole dang movie!!!!!!!!!!(i love the volturi……as you can tell lol) but when alice bella and edward go down to meet the volturi, i hope they show edwards tense and intimidating face! oh yes. now i cant wait….. 🙂

thanks guys. love the podcast xoxox

  8. Ella says:

Hey girls love your podcast anyway, i think they will stick close to the book with the volturi because it is so good in the book and i do not think that they could do any better do not get me wrong i love the new directer but i do not think they could do better . and i would love to see bella running thourgh itily trying to get to edward and she finaly finds him and runs into his arms and the volturi show up . love you guys 🙂

  9. Jessica from WI says:

    Hey ladies~
Love the podcast! And this is coming from someone who doesn’t listen to them…ever. So first part…admittedly, I was a bit nervous about the casting of Dakota Fanning for the role of Jane, but I’m starting to come around a bit on that. I think they’ll stick fairly well to the book in the way they portray the characters (I can’t wait to see Felix). The part I’m most looking forward to is when Jane goes berserk when she realizes that Bella is immune to her power. I can’t wait to see that face.

  10. Lesley says:

    Hey girls,

I read in one of the interviews with Chris Weitz that he was going to put his own spin on the Volturi having existed so long will be on the verge of insanity. I really like this idea and gives them this fearfull edge of instability like they could snap and take them out at any time, will really heighten the drama at this moment in the film. Am particualiry looking forward to the arrival of Jane for the first time, I love how Edward is quite forcefull and almost seems to have the upper hand until she arrives the the guards relax and Edward just looks defeated, by this little innocent looking vampire. Sort of picturing a solider being frightened of a kitten senario. Am very excited about this movie! Is my favourite in the series and re-read this one a lot, even though I am team Edward. Love from England x

  11. Sylvie says:

    Hey girls,

Looking forward to this podcast… I am really looking forward to seing how Dakota does as Jane. I thought from the beginning that she was a great choice, looking all sweet and childlike but always wondered about how she was going to portray the mean cruel side. I am looking forward to seing the look on her face as she tries to hurt Bella but can’t and also to see the part where she hurts Edward… not because I want him hurt, but because it will be an intense powerful scene.

I am also looking forward to seeing Aro in action. In the books he seems always so calm and happy and in control all the time. Ah heck, I am just looking forward to everything!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Natalie says:

Personally, the Voluturi never stood out to me in the books as much as it did to some people, so as for their role in the movie, I’m looking foward to seeing how the actors portray the characters, but I’m not going crazy waiting for the scene. I think the actors will do a good job with the roles they have been casted as, but i can’t base it on very much becuase the only actor i had heard of before was dakota fanning. I think she will do a good job as jane by the way. At first i wasn’t sure becuase i hadn’t seen her in very many movies, but then i saw the movie Push with her in it and saw that she could do a serious role and my perpective changed.
I’m looking foward to seeing the volturri but not as much as the scene, but how well they play sinister vampires. I think if i had to pick a scene i was most excited for, it would probably be they are all disscussing bella being human, and what they are going to do about that, only becuase in that scene, most of them are present and i want to see how all of them react together.
Love the podcast and TEAM EDWARD!!!

  13. grace parr says:

    dear kallie and kassie,
gaaahh! the volturi are soo oober important !
you cant have the twilight saga without them. i think
that the actors will do fine though. I have faith in them.
and i think that they all understand that this is a big deal
and that if they dont portray the character the right way
a whole mess of twilight fans will be angry. personally,i love
the volturi because they provide us with other little stories
away from bella and edward and the cullens.(and away from bellas
    whinning and moaning!)
I am looking forward to the scene when jane is using her powers.
i want to see how rob will make this scene work .
i am so ready for new moon(and jacobs rockin bod!!)

    thanx,
    grace parr

  14. Corinne Walker says:

Well I just want to say that I saw a picture of Heidi and if taht picture id Right I am outraged!!!! (the Human Receptionist for the Volturi) The picture shows her a Vampire!!!!! I know it sounds puni but I really thought that made the Volturi that little more intimidating!!!! Anyway I would have liked Channing Tatum as Demetri and Probably Jared Pedalcki as felix but you know, I think other than that it seems pretty cool…
    Love You Guys!!!!!!!

  15. ☮ ♥ Twilight (Team Edward) says:

hey i just started listening to yalls podcast and i think yall are briliant
From the book to the movie, how will they be portrayed and what scenes are you looking forward to?
ummm i think that the trancefer from the book to the movie will be what people are expecting and also have some stuff people are not expeting like they may have the hand thing between Aro and Bella but they might not have the same reactions like faceal reactions in the movie like they have in the book. and im really looking fowerd to how they botray the long walk down the tunel to the Voltri castle i really want to see how rob and kristen’s cemistry comes out durring this part
thanks so much for every thing

O.M.G.OSH!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so on Youtube i was surfing and I came across the ComiCon videos… I had already seen the one with Jacob and Bella but then I saw the Volterra Scene and I was Hyperventalating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Corinne Walker says:

    Did I spell Hyperventalating right???? Lol I don’t think I did ^

  19. Jacki says:

From the pics released, the Volturi looks brilliant! 😀 I couldn’t even recognize Dakota Fanning as Jane! She looked awesome ^____^ And Aro and Caius creeped me out! So 10 stars for them :] Although I did imagine them older .. with wrinkles and wispy hair .. but now that I think about it, them being young seems much better!

  20. GraceLOL says:

i think they will be portrayed as mean people. im looking forward to the scene when Edward gets atacted by Janes super Powa!!!LOL
and when Aro Reads Bellas mind with his gift while edward is very anshous to take her back.!!!
    love the podcast!!!

    Helllllllloooooo gals!

    1sy things 1st….LOVE THE PODCAST!!!
I tend to listen to it when I’m getting ready in the morning, it gives me a fresh exhilerating start to my day 🙂

    NOW……to the question!

The one thing that I hope is portayed in the movie as it was in the book is the volturi’s ability to my a shiver go up my spine! Well in the movie although I’m sure that their good-looking appearance will cause a shiver :p but I mean more of a creepy scary shiver like I felt when I was reading the book.

I know my answer isn’t as long as the others, but I like to think of it as the little engine that could 🙂

Keep up your awesome Kallie and Kassieness!

  22. Carrie says:

Hey Kallie and Kassie! Love the show!

Judging by the pictures that have been released, I think that the Voturi look fairly accurate. I read in an interview with Jamie Campbell Bower that there will be a scene in New Moon in which the Volturi are naked. XP <–(eeew!) Before reading that article, I was excited to see how the Volturi would be portrayed on-screen. Now I’m just hoping that particular scene gets edited out of the final movie.

One scene that I am really looking foreward to is the scene where Felix and Demitri are summoning Edward and Bella to the Volturi’s chambers. Demitri and Felix arrive at the exact moment that Edward realizes that Bella is really alive and in his arms. This is also the exact instant that Felix and Demitri realize there is a live human running around Volterra who knows too much. Edward finally realizes that Bella is alive and well, only to find her life in danger once again. I’m really hoping that the emotion in this scene is portrayed accurately. I can’t wait to see the movie!

Here is the url to that site with the interview:

  23. Katy says:

I have a feeling that the Volturi will be portrayed much like the Cullen family was portrayed in Twilight, in the sense that they will play a sort of background role. One of the major complaints about the Twilight movie was that for all the hype the Cullen family got in interviews and everything, they didn’t get many lines, except for, of course, Edward. I feel like there’s a chance that this will happen again; there will be a few key characters in the Volturi coven highlighted, but the rest will only have a few lines and shots. I am hopeful that Summit will have learned their lesson, however, and realize that character development is number one in the Twilight world!
Oh, and I’m not really looking forward to a specific part of the Voturi scenes – I just hope that the audience is able to get the sense of how intimidating and all-powerful they are, so that the suspense of their threat to check up on Bella will sort of haunt over everyone through the next two movies, just like it did in the books!

Great podcast girls, keep it up!

  24. Lily says:

    Hey Kassie and Kallie!

I hope that they don’t show the Volturi eating the tourists! In the books, doesnt Bella just hear the tourists screaming and not see them? I think in the movie we should just hear the screaming not actually see the people getting killed. I dont like the bloody stuff, it creeps me out! Also I think the people they cast are great! I am wondering how they will show Janes power…..probably just like have Edward fall to the ground or something. I’m a little bit worried about that naked scene gossip……….I’m hoping its not true and that he was just joking around!!!!!! Anyways……..
    LOVE THE PODCAST!!!!!!

    -Lily

  25. Carina says:

    Hey Lovely’s!

Everything about the Volturie is going to be exciting! I think that the Volturie will seem alot more ‘real’ to me, if that makes any sence. I just always think of hem as the bad guys. Marcus will probably be my favorite, because he acts so bored, and I’m excited to see that potrayed in the movie.

I’m also looking forward to seeing all the tourists enter the room, and then hearing their screams as Edward and Bella go back to the main room. I think it will give the anit twilight fans a thought that the twilight saga isn’t just love, but action, and danger.
AND Edward sparkiling…who DOESN”T want to see that????? I hope it doesn;t look like sweat this time…

Anyways LalalalaLOVE the Podcast, you girls are great!

  26. Britney says:

My cousin , Britney wrote on this and she was the who would sue Summit if New Moon was bad. I think that everyone still thinks of Dakota Fanning as an eight-year-old. She would be good at playing Jane, but they will still think she’s too young. I think that the Volturi leaders look younger than Carlisle. I want to say I love your podcast and Kassie, Edward went to me in New Moon and changed me. I got a power to switch bodies with anyone. I switched with Bella and he knew it was me. He loved ME. ME. HAHAHA!!!!!

  27. Wendy says:

I’m excited to see how the Volturi are portrayed in the movie. Although most of the cast is not who I had pictured when I read the book, they are wonderful actors so I’m curious to see their performances. Plus, we’ve seen almost no footage or had any “sneak peeks” of the Volturi actors, unlike all the coverage we’ve had about Kristin and Rob and Taylor, there will still be an element of surprise when we finally get to see them.

I’m hoping that Aro, Marcus, and Caius are somewhat “aged”. While reading the books, I had always thought that these three would look a little more “ancient” than the other vampires since they had been around for such a long time. I don’t want them to look too young and beautiful! 🙂 They need to look wise and powerful, but that that power exists mostly because they have existed the longest.

I’m also excited to see the scene where Heidi leads in the tourists and Bella gets to see the true nature of “real” vampires. I always felt that Bella never really understood what vampires “could be” until she witnessed that scene. That’s her first experience of understanding that not all vampires are like the Cullens, and that many of the “real vampires” are extremely dangerous and heartless.

As far as changes, I’m sure the parts of Jane and Alec will be expanded for the film, especially Jane. Jane is really not a big character in New Moon, and I can’t imagine that they’d hire Dakota Fanning and keep her primarily in the background. I also think that we might see more of a vocal presence from Marcus and Caius. In the books, Aro is pretty much the spokesperson, but I think we might see a little more of a “power trio” in the movie.

  28. Ellen says:

Firstly I want to say that i love the podcast!
So, hey i thought you would like to know i live in london so you are now international podcasters (if thats even a word!)
Anyway I’m excited to see how the Volturi are portrayed in the movie. Love you Girlies so much!!!XOXO
P.S I was listening to an old podcast and somebody sent in a comment saying that the should re-cast the whole of the cullen family and ROB it really is strange to think at one point people were thinking about it as you can’t change a vampire!?!?
Question for you both: what is your favorite quote from all of the books?
I really love the comment when Edward say’s the line you are my life now in twilight. But there are so many! 🙂
    XXXXXXX

  29. Beth says:

Well by the pictures we have seen already,i would say that the volturi will be amazing! They look SO weird/freaky! The scene i am most looking forward too are when they “test” bella to see if their powers work against her and end up not, unlike edward. I would also like to see maybe when they are leaving(edward and bella)seeing some tourists being lead into the volturi as…..well….dinner! Lol
Love the show, keep up the good work! 😉

  30. Natalie Nicole says:

well ithink thatfrom the way they were written in the
book the director will find some sort of way to
make them even scarier in the movie.

  31. Shelby Whitlock says:

I think the Volturi is onbviously needed in the saga and I think they’re pretty cool too. I know they have some shady ways of ‘dealing’ with the law but the fact that vampires even care the vaguest bit makes them more personable and less monsterish. They’re really cool because they’re so old and each is so complex. Jane and Alec are both amazing and so is Heidi, etc.

I think in the movie they’ll be portrayed a lot like they were in the book except probably downsized. Characters that aren’t necessary to the book will be erased, like Heidi. I also don’t think Giana (because Kassie cares about her soooooo much lol) won’t be included at all. I’m really excited to see the whole underground home.

It sounds weird, but the scene I really want to see is when Heidi (who probably won’t even be there) leads in all her ‘catches’. That scene shows so much emotion on both Bella, Edward and the innocent snacks’ part. I can’t wait to see anything with Jane in it, she’s such an interesting character, I can’t wait to see how Dakota Fanning plays her!

  32. Anne says:

Hey Kassie and Kallie! I think the Volturi will be a big part of the movie, even though they were only in five pages or so of the book, because the movie has to build the tension for the next couple movies. I think that the casting was excellent, the only reservation I had was that I always thought of the Volturi as elderly-looking, with long white/gray hair, but the actors for Caius, Marcus, and Aro are all young men. I was a little thrown off by this. But, based on pictures of the Italy set, I think the scene with the Volturi will be as dramatic and breathtaking as I found it to be in the books. So excited for New Moon and love the podcasts!!

  33. Anne says:

OH and i also loved the choice of Dakota Fanning for Jane, and the scene I am very much looking forward to is when Edward throws himself in front of Bella, I am excited to see his emotion and pain, because I think Rob is a fantastic actor and can pull it off and make us believe it. Thanks again!

  34. nisamtv says:

i dont know im not sure…the picture from new moon look great i think chris( the director..) is going to portray them well but i cant say so till i see the film..i just hope the character look according to what the book describe them as…i think and and the bro are pretty good..heidi is good. alec( <3 cameron bright, hes cute too) is sooo good. not dure about jane..they need to darken the hair io think..

  35. Jenn says:

Hey ladies! So, I am very excited to see the Volturi in New Moon…. When it comes to Book vs movie… I strongly feel they are going to feel “different”. In the book, they seem to be Good guy Bad guy all in one , finding ways to give chances to the Cullens because deep down Although he is envious and jealous of Carlisles family , Aro, really likes them. When i say really likes them I think … he likes “playing with fire”. Seeing how far he can push his limits and press buttons. Now in the movie, for the sake of whoever hasn’t read the books and for the sake of “action” and “suspense”, I beleive they are only going to show evil, nasty Volturi, and make it seem like theres no “chance” for the Cullens….. love your podcast, can’t get through work without it! love u gals! 🙂

  36. Jenn says:

To answer the second part of the question of the week…I’d like to give it a little twist since I’ve already commented on the Volturi….. The scene I’m most excited to see portrayed in film New Moon the part where Jake brings Bella home and drives past her house because he “smells” vampire… and Bella sees the mercedes. I don’t know for anyone else but I’ve got to say that the part where Bella runs into her house and sees Alice justtore my heart up! Bella is overwhelmed with emotion at the sight of Alice and just wants to die in her arms with happiness from seeing her. As a reader, I captured that moment and I too just wanted to run into Alice arms. It’s very powereful writing and , Stephanie seems to keep amazing me with her power to warp you under the spell. Thanks again! Keep up the GREAT work.!
