The guy has talent and Eclipse has that constant (but distant) threat of the newborns which SHOULD be menacing. However, from everything he has said in the past I don’t see that he respects the heart of the Twilight series and that is the love story. The only thing I can rely on here is that he has the script by Melissa Rosenberg (which is probably be another faithful adaptation) and the studio will not want to rock the boat by alienating the fans.

I know it will be edgier and that’s cool; and it will include those great backstories and the legends of the Quileutes – so I’m in!

I like him and think he will do a nice job, it seems like it will feel like a real movie like New Moon not some little home flick like Twilight, however I hope he doesn’t make the Cullens seem scary they are the good guys! Otherwise I like it a lot, and am thrilled to see they are seriously considering Chris for Breaking Dawn <3

idk about david slade…. he seems to action-y for the more love related scenes of eclipse…
