(Big sisters can be a pain!) My brother actually hates reading and I never saw him pickup a book for pleasure while we were growing up. BUT he has discovered audiobooks and LOVES them. He spends a lot of time in his truck and listens to audiobooks from his iPod. Maybe you should try an audiobook while you are cleaning around the house. It can be very soothing to have someone reading to you. I think you said you never made it through Harry Potter so I would totally recommend the audiobooks since Jim Dale is a wonderful reader. To respond to the person above… the picture was leaked a few weeks ago with about 20 other pics from eclipse. To my knowledge, they were all taken down less than a day later and every site that had them had to take them down, I haven’t heard anything about them being officially released again. However, some people who were at the right place at the right time, managed to save a copy of them.

Also, I just read and watched Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief. It was enjoyable. I know a lot of people compare it to Harry Potter – it does kind of follow that format of following a young boy through adolescence and harnessing his supernatural powers. However, the writing is not on the same par as JKR’s. That said, it’s a good book for pre-teens/middle schoolers. It was a quick read for me. The movie, on the other hand – Hoooo boy they changed a lot! And not with much reason. This series doesn’t have quite the die-hard following that Harry Potter and Twilight have, though, so you can tell that the studio didn’t feel beholden to the fans to maintain the why’s and wherefore’s of the book for the screen play. That’s my main criticism. Logan whatshisface, though, who plays Percy, is super cute. Cuter than Taylor Lautner!
