Ian somerholder should play wes…
Evangeline lily should play Melanie stryder, but she might be a bit short. Amy Adams is perfect for pet, but she might be a bit curvaceous.
Hugh jackman should play Kyle, he tall, muscular and good at playing pessimists.
For Ian, all I can think of is Heath ledger, but he’s dead. Someone Marlo Brandon/Matt Damon looking, but taller and not old. Christen bale would be good if they could get him to look a bit younger and actually Matt Damon would fit Brandt or Aaron.
And Jeb should be played by Michael nyqvist but with grey hair n stuff. Or Clint eastward or Harrison ford or Liam neeson or Ian mckellen there are a few actors that would fit.
As for Jared, Josh Duhamel is the best I can come up with….. And Jamie can be played by that kid off joined to the centre of the earth, he is supposed to be skinny and tanned and he just wouldnt fit.
That’s my opinion anyway.

I just read the book and i really like it. I will like to see EVANGELINE LILLY as Melanie. She did a great job in Lost. For Wanda (at the end), I believe that AMY ADAMS can fit Meyer’s description of Pet. Definitely i can only visualize PAUL WALKER as Ian.

I agree with your comment…Jensen Ackles has to have a part in there as well….I love Ian Somerholder, but I’m afraid his role in VD will over-ride any committment he could make to The Host..I think SN is going out after this season, so Ackles could possibly be available…

This is my favorite book and I really hope they don’t mess it up. I think Kristin Kreuk would make a good Melanie, Ian Somerhalder for Ian (gorgeous blue eyes <3), and Jensen Ackles for Jared. Can't wait for this to come out and thank God they got a good director!

Well… I finish the book when their filming the second movie of Twilight, and i just love it! I read it many, many times just for fun, just to feel what the caracter feels. And i know that the movie of this book will be very good.

Ian Somerhalder can’t play Ian he’s too short, Ian and Kyle are supposed to be tall. How is he going to do all the scenes where he is supposed to carry Wanda? Has to be someone taller. I agree with Jensen Ackles though

I read the book several months back. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it. I also injoyed reading the Twilight saga. I think sephani meyers is a very talented writer and i hope she writes more books. I cant wait to watch the movie!!!!!

I think that Nina Dobrev should play Wanda and Kristin Kreuk should play Melanies role. They would be a great pair. Now for the guys that would be tough….I don’t know any young actors that could play Jamie. Now for Jared I think Max Minghella.

Or Blake Lively could play Wanda…

There are so many great actors to play many parts. Kyle will be a big one to chose from….
