  1. Stephenie,
Quil and Seth really seem to like being wolves. If Seth never imprinted I could easily see him wanting to stay a wolf, forever, like I’m sure Jacob will do. I was wondering, have any past werewolves (sons of the moon) choosen to stay wolves. As the book says, imprinting was not all that common. It was even thought of as a myth before Sam and Emily. Thanks!

  2. Stephenie, Did Bree have a power? Carlisle says that ever vampire brings over a strong personality trait from being human. What was Bree’s? Diego’s? Riely’s? Also was Fred kinda a loner as a human if he now kinda repels vampires? Is Fred more powerful than Reneta then? How would that work if Demetri were to search for him? Thanks!

  3. Stephenie, when Jasper was training the Cullen’s, and the werewolves in Eclipse, Edward mentions that the packs mind is very interesting and that it was like a soup opera. Did he tell Bella everything? Thanks!

  4. Stephenie, who are Brady and Collin related to? How do they desend from Ta Aki? Are all of the werewolves close relatives then? I know that we don’t know who Embry’s father is but does it have to be Quil’s Jacob’s or Sam’s father? Could there be other Quileute werewolves from Ephrium Black’s pack? If the Cullen’s had come sooner, would Billy have changed? Ta Aki changed to save his sons and the third wife a long time after he had stoped changing. Does that mean that werewolves never truly stop being werewolves like Leah had hoped for, or did he change just out of extrime anger? Thanks!

  5. Kathryn says:

Stephenie, I love how you did “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” novella as a follow up… It provided much more insight into the overall story when coming from another perspective. Honestly, I love the series and would love to see a continuation of the original story… but if not, would you ever consider (or have you considered) doing more ‘branch off’ stories like you did with Bree Tanner?

  6. Stephenie, Does how was Victoria changed? By James? Did he mean for her to be his mate? Edward said that Victoria loved James a lot more than James loved her, how so? What happened with Laurent and Irina that made her family stay away for the newborn war? What is Maria doing now? Does she still sectetly plot to earn more red dots? How did Victoria find out when she was down south? How much conqering is still going down there? Thanks!

  7. K.L. says:

    Dear Stephenie,
The Rosalee and Jasper ‘HALE’ ? They came from different places and times so how can they be related? I could see this if it were just a cover story but it gets explained that way to the reader also. It never got cleared up and I wonder if I missed something?

  8. C.H says:

    Dear stephanie,
Will you be completing Midnight sun? and if so when do you think you will be finshed it? and when do you think us twi-hards can get our hands on it?
    thanks 🙂

    • lizzabel says:

After reading the few pages posted of Midnight Sun, It made so want to hear Edwards version of all four books, i know you probably heard this a million times, but Please consider it, they would be totally different experiences and I know all your readers would love it, His mind is amazing (well yours of his) PLEASE SHARE!!

      • Sally says:

        Lilly,
I feel the same about Edwards view on each book. If Steph wrote each one through his eyes it would be a totally different experience. Stephenie is just so amazing even more so than she realizes!!! I thank her for these books & movies, they have got me through a tough time in my life. I have had a struggle with my health and she has given me something to sink my teeth into…lol. My health is on the mend now and I praise God for that!!! Yes, Edward is an amazing character and so complex. I love his mind and how much he loves Bella!!!
        ~Sally

  9. Dana R. says:

hey first i would like to say that you are totally awesome for creating the twilight saga and i love the books!!! i want to know if the third wife had a name at all? i know that jasper and rosalie use the last name hale because of how they look alike but why didnt they use jaspers last (whitlock) instead of rosalie’s last name (hale)? i know what the cover of breaking dawn means but what about the covers of twilight new moon and eclipse do they have meanings? and i noticed how you mention muse in just about every book on the acknowledgment page and i was wondering what your favorite song by them was? -THANKS

  10. Rene Merchant says:

Stephanie, first I would like to say, I love The Twilight Saga! And I love you for writing it!
Okay I have a couple questions. The first one is about Breaking Dawn. If Jacob hadn’t imprinted on Renesmee, would Jacob and Leah be together?
My second question is about Eclipse the movie. Which actress would you rather have play Victoria, Richelle or Bryce?
    Thanks!
    -Rene♥

  11. Stefanie says:

If Bree conveyed all of the Volturi’s involvement in the newborn situation to Edward in the field and Edward’s suspicions were further confirmed when he mentioned it to Jane, why did they have to ask Eleazar the real reasons for the Volturi coming to Forks in Breaking Dawn? Wouldn’t Edward already have known? Also if Bree was able to control herself when Kevin was ripping the car apart and drinking from the human, why was it so difficult for her to control herself in the field with Bella? I understand her blood was so irresistibly sweet and all but I had a difficult time reconciling the Bree from the novella to the Bree from Bella’s perspective.

  12. Sally says:

You are a great writer Steph!!! Don’t let the haters get you down, ever! Please keep writing! Your love for each of the characters shines through. My question is: If you had to choose to be one character; who would it be, and why? Thank you for giving me something special to sink my teeth into during these tuff times in my life. XOXO

  13. Bianca says:

Could you expand on what exactly is going through Jacob’s mind during the tent scene and during the scene where Bella visits him at his house after the battle. Thank you for your work. You may not have done it for me, but I really appreciate it!

  14. vbl.sreelakshmi says:

    Hi Stephenie Meyer,
I wanted to ask if the legends that u have written in the book Eclipse were actually real legends or were they your invention?
    Thank you.

  15. sofia B from ITALY says:

    Stephenie,you are my goddess.
I was wondering if when Rosalie finds Emmett is it really Vera’s son, Henry, or did they just both have the dark curls??? I ask myself this question every time I read THE books (I read a piece of every book each night before i go to bed, or not I would have nightmares). I wish I cuold meet you someday.
    Thank you.

  16. Smriti Sharma says:

    Dear Stephanie,

Edward had 22 pair of chromosomes while Bella had 23. They cannot reproduce because they are two different species (because of different number of chromosomes. How is that possible? please explain

  17. emma nicholson says:

Hey, i am on ready breaking and it is amazing, i was wondering if you are bringing a 5th twilight book out. i know that some put it on the internet,(which was one of your friends) but are you still bringing it out. You put on you website that you were hurt by this, but i was really wanted to know edwards point of view. Also i love your work you are a brillient writer, once i start reading any of your books i can not stop.

  18. Stephanie says:

Hey. i was wondering what inspired you to write the twilight books?

  19. Lorraine Powell says:

    Hi,
My question is about Fred – he is a great character with fab potential for a story of his own, do you think he’ll let you tell it Stephenie??

My other question is about Breaking Dawn so not really in the remiss for what we are meant to be asking but I’ll sneak it in anyway…as the readers, the Vampires and the LA Push gang find out that the Werewolves aren’t werewolves but in fact shapeshifters in Breaking Dawn I wondered if this was fodder for a potential future story??

Like everyone else I obviously am a huge fan of the Twilight saga and rather sadly fell in love with Jacob when I read New Moon (not uncommon for me to fall in love with fictional people…good job I like daydreaming & that my husband doesn’t mind!!) and maybe I am biased but I always got the feeling that despite not being the hero of the piece he was a favourite of yours too….

Thank you for your talent, and yes it was a shame knowing how Bree was going to die!!

    Lorraine.

  20. Natasha says:

    Stephenie,
I would like to know more the guy on the couch that Bree hid behind, the one that go away. Can you tell us more about him?

  21. Barbara says:

    Steph,
What exactly happened to Diego? Did Riley and Victoria really kill him or did he escape death?

  22. Katie B. says:

    Stephenie,
I read an article once where you said that you knew exactly what would have happened had Bella not jumped off the cliff in La Push and that this wasn’t where you felt the story should go. Can you tell us what would have happened? Would Jacob and Bella have gotten together? Would either of them have been happy?

  23. Erika P. says:

You’ve stated that Midnight Sun was meant to be a companion book to Twilight only, if you decide to finish it would you consider branching out into the rest of the series, or just Twilight. I would be curious to see how Edward dealt with his emotions while being apart from Bella in New Moon and how he felt when he thought Bella had died.

  24. sophie says:

    Dear Stephanie,

I’m sure all of your fans know just how busy you are but have you ever considered coming to Liverpool? also are you writing a new book- i know it takes a while and they’re inspired at random times but will we be just as surprised as you if one shows up in shops in a few years?
by the way I think your a great role model and an inspiration to us all.(- you’re my hero.)

    thanks, soph

  25. Julie says:

    Stephenie,

I hope you never grow tired of hearing how great your talent for writing and story telling is. My question is… How much research about Forks and the surrounding area (i.e. topographical maps, areas of interest, local legends. etc) did you do before writing each book and was that kind of research done before, during or after writing the story line?

    Thanks you!

  26. sofia B from ITALY says: says:

    Stephenie,you are my goddess.

MY “ECLIPSE” QUESTION IS: I was wondering if when Rosalie finds Emmett is it really Vera’s son, Henry, or did they just both have the dark curls??? I ask myself this question every time I read THE books (I read a piece of every book each night before i go to bed, or not I’d have nightmares). I wish I cuold meet you someday.
    Thank you.

MY “THE SHORT SECOND LIFE OF BREE TANNER” QUESTION IS: Will you write a book about Fred’s life? He was one of my favorite characters infact I am now both team Edward and team Fred.

P.S. Kallie, you laugh brings me joy every time!!
P.P.S. stephenie please keep writing even if it isn’t a twilight saga book, I loved the host as much as I love Edward!!

  27. Amesmk1 says:

    Hi Stephanie

I love your books, and eclipse is my favourite so I’m really looking forward to the film. Here in the UK though, it is only classified as a 12A so potentially any age could see it, do you think the book has had to be ‘edited’ for this cert. to be given? Do you think there would ever be a case for a film to be released under 2 different classifications ie: a ‘grown up’ version and then a version for under 12’s which has certain scenes taken out?

In my opinion, some of the key scenes between Edward/Bella and Bella/Jacob in the book are quite graphic for a 12A, so I’m concerned that the film will be playing these essential moments down! I’ll still look forward to seeing it though…can’t wait!!!

Hope you enjoy it much as we will! :0)

  28. Paige says:

    Dear Stephenie,

I have six questions that I would like to ask you.

Q: 1. Do you have plans to continue the Host saga? I’ve heard some rumors on the internet and would love to see a continuation of the story.

Q: 2. If you would plan on a sequel to the Host, would you continue from Wanda’s point of view or is her story complete like Bella’s in Breaking Dawn?

Q:3. As a young trying writer myself, I need inspiration before I begin on a story. My question is: Where do you find your inspiration? Is it in your family, your passion for writing, your characters. . .

Q: 4. In Breaking Dawn, we find out that the werewolves aren’t really werewolves but are shape shifters and somewhere else in the world there are REAL werewolves called the true Children of the Moon. Do you have plans for these creatures in later books?

Q: 5. In The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner, why does she call Edward a “redhead?”

Q: 6. Will Bree have a bigger part in Eclipse the movie?

If you consider any of these questions worthy, I would very grateful. Thank you for these imaginary and wonderful worlds that allows us to step out of reality for even a fraction of a second.

  30. Vicky says:

I was wondering if the reason you wrote the story of Bree was so it could match up with the Eclipse movie. I just seen a clip of Eclipse and it looked to me like the scene where Bree watches the others smash up a car and kill the driver is going to be in The Eclipse movie. I guess my question is, If the movies never came out would you still have written the Bree story? or was it just to make the Movie flow better? I love the book by the way. I hated that she was going to die at the end. I Do like how you ended it though.

  31. Johana D says:

    Stephenie,

I am a HUGE fan. I am a stay at home mom who found her love of reading again through the Twilight series. I am forever indebted to you!

I have many questions for you but will try to limit them. Firstly, after reading the Bree story, I am infinitley curious about Fred. I would love to see more about him. Do you have plans of continuing on w/ his character?

Secondly, I may be grasping at straws but am hoping to hear there may be more twilight stories to come? I am praying for the Midnight Sun to be finished and also carried through the series. I would love to see from Edward’s perspective during the trying pregnancy and later battle w/ the Volturi. I know you felt Bella & Edward’s story was finished but I still have questions. It felt like the Volturi only left to regroup. Aro doesn’t seem the type to let the Cullens defeat him so publicly. He also seems like he would continue to try and get Bella/Edward/Alice to join them. I am also curious about the Renesmee and Jacob angle as she matures. What will their future hold? How will they blend into the wolf/ human/ vampire worlds? Just some of my many many questions!

    • Trina says:

      Stephenie,

I LOVE the Twilight Saga an I know you ment for the “THE END” in Breaking Dawn to show that their stories are finished but I really wish you would go farther with it!! Your books help me when I need to get away. When I start reading your books I’m in my own world an I love feeling like that.

Q1. In Breaking Dawn, we find out that the werewolves aren’t really werewolves but are shape shifters and somewhere else in the world there are REAL werewolves called the true Children of the Moon. Do you have plans for these creatures in later books?

Q2. I know you dont like it when people talk about Midnight Sun but do u think you will be finishing it?

Q3. Have you ever thought of continuing the series for a 5th book?

Q4. This question is about The short second life of Bree Tanner.. Why didn’t you just keep her alive I think she whould have done a great job after knowing the rules?

I have alot more questions but thats to much typing..LOL

  32. Kim K. says:

Hi. I am a huge fan. You said that you wish you did not kill off Bree in Eclipse. I was wondering if Bree survived, what would she be doing in Breaking Dawn?

  33. Mikkaa says:

As a published author I find myself riveted by your talent. The biggest question that I have follows. Bree and Diego had such a chemistry. If he hadn’t stayed around Bree wouldn’t have been next to the pyre. What was the context of the relationship through Diego’s eyes and what ACTUALLY happened to him??

  34. Alexa says:

    Stephenie,
Thank you very much for writing the Twilight Saga and for being strong enough to allow yourself to share this incredible world with the public. For the fans, all these books have been a gift and opportunity to rejoyce and share. Thanks again!!!! And well, I have so many questions about the writing process, the Saga and the Bree Tanner book:
    1. As a young writer, how could you control the fear and the sense of perfectionism that meant to write and publish the first book?
Is there any advise for young writers that have works in progress, but so many doubts?
    2. After reading Breaking Dawn there are too characters, that seem to me, that have and uncertain future. Have you ever imagined a future for Leah Clearwater or for Nahuel?
    3. Why did Edward have to ask Eleazar the real reasons for the Volturi coming to Forks in Breaking Dawn, if Edward was informed about the Volturi´s real intention by Bree? Maybe, he only knew about Jane´s real intentions. Was he trying to be sure about Aro´s intentions also?
    4. Why does Bree call Edward a “redhead”?

  35. laces says:

Stephenie..Thanks for answering all our questions.
In Eclipse, Edward tells Bella that he feels like there is a line forming for her affections. He says…”Shall I tell you who’s names would be at the top of the list? You know a few of them, but some might surprise you.” My questions is…who are the guys that would surprise Bella? Were there specific people you had in mind when you wrote this? I would love to know.

The other questions is…We find out more about the Volutri’s involvment in Bree’s book. Who sent Jane and the others on this errand–Caius or Aro?

Thanks for sharing your dream with us!!

  36. Paul says:

Stephenie I’m sorry about what happened with Midnight Sun, but I am aching to know are you still working on the book? I very much look foward to Edward’s perspective on twilight. I have read the piece you posted on your website and already I feel Midnight Sun is my most favored of the twilight books. However, even if you chose not to continue with the book I respect your decision and thank you for giving at least a glimse into Edwards mind.

    • Lilly Antoinette says:

lol thats what i asked. You have NO idea how badly i’ve wanted to finish the Midnight Sun. or……. you probally do since you are asking her too. I really want her to finish and publish it. i will by it the instant its out

  37. sabrina says:

stephenie i was wondering what made you want to start the twilight series what was your insporation ? and im a HUGE fan of your twilight saga work

  38. sabrina says:

stephenie will there be a countination of the story to the book breaking dawn what happens to jacob and nessie ?

  39. Carly "Renesmee" Cullen says:

Thanks for making Kassi read my comment last time, Kallie!!!!

Here’s my question: Did Edward do anything when he found out from Bree that the Volturi visited Victoria and Riley??

    Carly

  40. Lanette says:

    Stephenie,
Your series has changed my life. I’ve started writing, and I’m much more joyful about life in general.
I’m not playing by the rules…my first question is about Twilight. You once said if you could go back in time and rewrite it, you would do it much better. How would you change the beginning of Twilight?
I am confused as to why there were four Volturi in Bree Tanner and five in Eclipse. Was that an oversight or did I miss something?
Are you happy with the way Edward is portrayed as ‘petty’ in the Eclipse movie and that Jacob’s kiss to Bella is the climax?
I wish I could meet you and share my writing with you so you could give me your opinion.
Thank you for writing the Twililght Saga and having the courage to share it with me. I feel blessed that you did.
    Lanette

  41. Lilly Antoinette says:

I was trying to think of an eclipse question because its the most mysterious book. Honestly its harder for me to remember than the other three books of the series but i just HAVE to ask this question because my twilight fan flame is sadly dying out since there was soooo much craze for the movies. I completely Adore your saga but the movies are slightly lacking to be quite honest. not naming any names but some people just don’t have any emotions close to your characters in the books. Welllll anyway my question (not relevant to eclipse necessarily) but to the twilight series: when are you going to finish and publish Midnight Sun? I read what you had online on your website so far and i love it. The passion and restraint of Edward mixed with the later intertwining feelings of love makes this the best book in the saga in my opinion. It is just a whole other level of genius dark romance. So PLEASE don’t forget it.

  42. Nichole says:

    Stephaine,
I have read all of your twilight books, alot more than once 🙂 i have some questions that i would love if you could answer…
    1. Have you ever thought of continuing the series for a 5th book? I know that Bella and Edwards story is supposed to be over but you left some untied ends…if you are thinking about it i am sure that i am not the only person that would love to read it and love it like all your others:)
    2. There are certain parts in New Moon that i thought o my god jacob and Bella should be together…is there a particular reason why you chose to have Bellas love life end with Edward?
3.At the end of Breaking Dawn Bellas gift is just unfolding…she helps with the Volturi…did you have any other plans for the ending of Breaking Dawn and if so how did you chose this one?

  43. Betriz says:

    Stephenie,
I got sooooo many questions for you!!.
1-Can gay werewolves have an imprinting with people of the same sex?
2-If Esme was changed few days after he son born, why she doesn’t have a biiiiig tummy??
3-why Edward can read the mind of anyone – except Bella, but Alice can see the decisions of vampires or humans?
Well, these are some of my quetions. Please try to answer.
PS:I’m brazilian, so I probably have made some mistakes in grammar, then please try to understand the context

  44. Kathy says:

    Stephanie,
I love your books. I only began reading them this last year, and I am on my 12th reading. My daughter got me into your books.
    I have many questions.
    1. I love Charlie, and I think it is interesting that he is a shield ( as a cop) but also a bit of a shield like Bella. Was this intentional or a happy accident? Did you base the character on someone you know?
    2. Are you a runner? I notice that Edward ( as well as all the vamps and wolves) ,and Melanie in The Host love to run, and I’m curious.
    3. Can you give us any insight into all the interest in how people sleep in all your books? We learn who talks, snores, sprawls, twitches, as well as many dreams.

    Thanks for the great stories!

  45. Melissa says:

Will you extend the twilight saga? I think alot of your fans have tons of unanswered quetions. Will you write a fifth book, in addition to Midnight Sun?

  46. jody lynn says:

    BREE TANNER QUESTION
What happens to Fred she kinda left it open i mean he just leaves. Being a new born vampire and the only way he knows how to survive is drinking human blood wouldn’t that mean more killings if he stayed in Seattle? Or did he follow the Cullens and see there way of surviving by eating animal blood and follow that. It was never said it kinda just left us hanging i mean if it was a human character i could understand but Fred was a new born

  47. Tanya Kocur says:

In the introduction of your new book The Sort Second Life of Bree Tanner you wrote “The closer I got to the inevitable end, the more I wished I’d concluded Eclips just slightly different”. My question…how so?

Thanks for caring and listgening to your fans!

Tanya from Alaska (really! not in Denali though lol)

  48. HI! love u so much fo introducing the happiness of twilight into the world (though i actually love ‘the host’ more!)
my question is are you personally happy with the twilight cast that got created by hardwick, or would you of liked to had more say. thanks!
    Sammy (from carlisle’s birth place!)
    xx

  49. yeah hi again! i just had to know! will you ever write again, not just twilight & the host but do you have any other work that you wish to share with us? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xxxx

  50. Carm says:

FOR ALL EDWARD FANS OUT THERE, PLEASE ASK HER….

Why is Edward Cullen called a “redhead”? PLEASE ASK HER!

I would throw in a midnight sun question, but Stephenie seems still mad at how it leaked so I don’t want to annoy her with a midnight sun question. Have fun meeting her! And thank her for creating Edward Cullen.
