Right now I have finally started the Host and Graceling! I’m liking them both a lot. Ive also been reading books like If I Stay by Gayle Forman and Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver and Shiver by Maggie Steifvater (I recommend those A LOT). And I’ve just recently gotten into the Hunger Games books, and I LOVE them! I’m recommending them to as many people as I can and they are now my favorite books! I cant wait for Mockingjay!
Love the show, you guys rock!

  2. Quiana says:

I’m reading Shiver by Maggie Steifavter at the moment.

  3. Anna S says:

    Heya guys!
Right now i am loving the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast. So far in the series there are 7 books Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, Tempted and Burned. The story is about vampires and is a 180 take compared to Stephenie Meyer but it is still 100% loveable!!!!! You have to read them.
    Anna

  4. Dabney says:

  5. Brinean says:

    Hey,
I am currently in the middle of reading Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. It is really good but I would rate it a pg-13 type of book. I also read If I stay by Gayle Forman and Memoirs Of A Teenage Amnesiac both are really good! I am about to read Bree Tanner I read part of it online and it seems really good! Another really awesome book is Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan! Those are all the books I can remember off the top of my head! Hope you enjoy them 🙂

  6. Sandra says:

    Hi girls,
Well I recently re-read a series of books that I love, they are called Peaches by Jodi Lynn Anderson. It’s a series of three books that I absolutly love (Peaches; The Secrets of Peaches; Love and Peaches)… and don’t worry these are great books even if the titles look like it’s a book about fruits.
I also read an amazing book by Mandy Hybbard called Prada & Prejudice and I’m looking forward for the release of another book of the same author called You Wish (to be released August 5) . They are both YA books.
I also read a book called The Help by Katheryn Stockett and I must say that it is one of my favorite books of all time, it is a fun and fulfilling read.
I read The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks and I can say that the movie doesn’t do any justice to the great book.
I’m looking forward to read the following books in the summer:
-A match made in High School by Kristin Walker
-Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard… I think the series has about 8 books and I want to read them
-A vintage affair by Isabel Wolff

Guess who’s making Barnes & Noble earn a lot of money this summer?

  7. Judith Akufo says:

I just started reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson which is amazing. I’m also reading Emma by Jane Austen, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, both of which I’ve read 3 times.

    • V says:

Yes, I’m really excited to read that book (“Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”). I’m waiting to get it from the library, but there’s a que of over 100.

  8. Lara says:

I am new to the Twilight series, so I have read all 4 this summer (Eclipse twice), and Bree Tanner. Before, I had read A Long Way Gone, Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, by Ishmael Beah, which is a very sad and touching true story. I just bought Water for Elephants so I will start that in a day or so.

    • Lori says:

      Hey Lara,

I just bought Water for Elephants tonight, I need to finish another book first. Was looking for Bel Ami, has anybody read that yet?

  9. Verónica says:

    Hey girls,
Well right now I’m gonna start reading Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr, it’s the third book of a series. The first book was called Wicked Lovely (about a girl that suddenly gets caught in all this fairy business) and I absolutely love this books, they’re about fairies and such, but it’s not your ordinary fairies. I suggest you read them, they are easy to read and very entertaining as well. Also I’m planning on re-reading the Hunger Games and Catching Fire to prepare myself for Mockingjay, I can’t wait!! 😀 I have some other books on my list, from the great Carlos Ruiz Zafón (a Spanish writer, mostly know for his books: “The Angel’s Game” and “The Shadow of the Wind” which are awesome books). And last on my list is Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. I don’t know what’s it about yet, but it looks interesting 😀

  31. TrendHater73 says:

I’ve barely had time to read this summer, but I have been reading a little here and there. Since summer began, I have read the following:

    1. “The Lonely Hearts Club” by Elizabeth Eulberg
    2. “Sharing Sam” by Katherine Applegate
    3. “Looking For Alaska” by John Green
    4. “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton
    5. “Water For Elephants” by Sara Gruen
    6. “The Short Life of Bree Tanner” by Stephenie Meyer
    7. “Dead and Gone” (Book 9 in Sookie Stackhouse series) by Charlaine Harris
    8. “Shakespeare’s Christmas” (Book 3 in Lily Bard series) by Charlaine Harris
    9. “Shakespear’s Trollop” (Book 4 in Lily Bard series) by Charlain Harris

I’ve started a dozen others (Incarceron, A Reliable Wife, Consequences, etc), but put them down after a few chapters. Lately, it has been so hard to find anything intriguing enough to spend time reading. My stack of “to be read” is somewhere in the range of 70 books and growing. I plan to get through at least five more before work and school start back at the end of August. “Mockingjay” by Suzanne Collins will be a weekend priority when it is released. Happy reading everyone 🙂

  32. daniiela launter says:

    Hii girls
Well I read Eclipse again but another book that I REALLY like and that i’m reading now is is Vampire Diaries! <3
    🙂 xoxo

  33. Jessica says:

I’ve been kind of all over the place this summer on reading, but tons of YA. I’ve been really into the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, and am reading the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series as well. I devoured Linger last weekend and can’t wait for Mockingjay and the Clockwork Angel to come out. Got through Water for Elephants, Bree Tanner, re-read Deathly Hallows, Eclipse, and The Host. I’m also (strangely) reading Pride & Prejudice for the first time and plan to tackle The Help this weekend.

A few others I hadn’t seen recommended here:
Michael Scott’s The Immortals series (“The Alchemyst”, “The Magician”, etc.)
    James Patterson’s Maximum Ride series
Laura Vierie Rigler’s “Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict” and “Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict”
Lev Grossman’s “The Magicians” (I think that’s what it’s called)–kind of depressing at times but very engrossing

  34. Charlotte_G_Aussie says:

Hey Kallie and Kassie i recently started reading the Tomorrow series, starting with the 1st book tomorrow when the War began, it’s Australian ( which is good because i am australian). i also thought it would be a good book for the book of the month because Kassie can read the novels and Kallie can watch the movie because it will be released in cinemas on the 2nd of september.
It’s really good because the 1st book is about a group of Australian teens who go on a camping trip and when they come back they find that a army has taken over their town, they don’t know who the army are or why they are there but they know that they need to stop them. Basically it’s about the kids trying to get their town back.
and again like i said before it’s a really good series, the books are for young teens and the book are only small. ( but there are 7 books in the series)
here’s a link to watch the tralier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zuZqFUyP4o&annotation_id=annotation_834579&feature=iv

  37. emily twilight lover says:

At the moment i am reading books by Chris Ryan, he is an english author so i doubt you’d know about him, but yeah, they are all about adventure and how this one boy manages to find himself in troule, and escapes barely with his life. although it sounds cheesey, they are all fabulous books, and i am addicted to them.
Recently i have read the “Pretty Little Liars” series, as i have recently been to america, where they were selling them for like $4 for each one, and this may sound strange, but i am a young listener so they are rigt up my ally, lol

  39. Gemma says:

I am reading the Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost at the moment. The titles are Halfway to the Grave, One Foot in the Grave, At Grave’s End and Destined For an Early Grave. I think they’re rivals to the Mortal Instruments Series, and are possibly better! They are so action packed, as well as sexy and hilarious! The male lead could rival Spike any day for all you Buffy fans! I think they’re such a great read at the moment and I’m only half way through! I’d reccomend them to anyone.

I’ve also just finished reading the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater, (Shiver and Linger). They we’re OK reads and funny in places, with a cut story behind them. The First book was much better than the second as i found the second very slow moving, but I still enjoyed them.

I also love the Immortals Series by Alyson Noel! I have just finished the 4th book and I’m eagerly waiting for the 5th. The titles are Evermore, Blue Moon, Shadowland and Dark Flame. They are just so brilliant! I also really enjoyed Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush which I Just finished recently.

Just to say I loved the Graceling Series, Mortal Instruments, and Vampire Diaries which I read thanks to you guys! X

    • Gemma says:

Thought I’d lea of some of the other books I’ve read and my new summer reading now I’ve finished the Jeaniene Frost series! I totally couldn’t put them down at all … I dropped everything and managed to read one book a day i was that hooked!

So I’ve also read: Twilight Series obviously, inc. Bree Tanner; House of Night and Vampire Academy series that i read before you used them as your books of the month and Fallen by Lauren Kate

I’m going to start reading various other series from L.J Smith and P.C Cast, like the Divine/Partholon series and Night World as well as others, but not until I’ve read about 15 books from Kelley Armstrong (The Otherworld series, Darkest Powers series). I’m also looking forwards to reading the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs which are the base of the Bones series on TV which I love! I wonder if i can get all this finished over the summer and still read my French set-text! I just so hard to choose where to start lol!

  45. Ava says:

The Looking Glass War trilogy by Frank Beddor, it’s like the story of Alice and Wonderland but told with a hell of a lot more blood and guts and war and pain and loss and stuff like that and in the books it even mentions how the writer of ALice and Wonderland twisted Alyss’ story and mde her look like a fool. They are really good you have to read them!
    Ava

  46. EydieB says:

-The Chronicles of Narnia, books One and Two
    -Black Like Me
-House by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker

I can’t remember the other books I read, but there probably weren’t many; my summer’s been too busy for reading, unfortunately. Right now I’m reading Gaston Leroux’s “The Phantom of the Opera”.
