I think she will be great! And the last mumsy you think that saoirse is a girly girl but have you ever watched Hanna? She is a pretty tough girl in that movie and I know she is younger than 20 but with make up effects and other movie things I think she will be fine. My issue is the guy they have picked to play Jared. Its up on imdb.com as “rumored”. I hope so, he is completely wrong for the role and he is WAYYY to young, jared is 30 ish this kid looks like hes 12. Im hoping he is playing someone different or not in the movie at all

This is so funny I was just thinking about this the other day and now some news!! I think this young lady is a wonderful actress and I think she’ll do a great job. I can’t wait for more casting news.

She 19-20 in the book. She’s 17 turning 18 but I’m fine with that. I think she has what it takes and I’m really excited about this.

Older than Saoirse Ronan that’s for sure! And more importantly, Melanie is physically quite imposing, tall and strong which is why she gets roughed up so much. It’s only when Wanda’s host is changed to a young giggly pretty little teenager that she gets treated according to her personality.
