Who Is YOUR Fictional Spouse? -Stefanie’s PicksFeb 11th, 2012 | By Stefanie | Category: Fandom, Featured Articles
Admittedly, this isn’t an easy task for me. I have short term memory when it comes to books I’ve read, so even remembering who was in the books is hard for me! However, after going through my Goodreads list to see what books I’ve read, I suddenly remembered these boys.
Who is your fictional husband or wife?
Stefanie: These two guys are pretty opposite in many ways. Where one is openly kind and caring, the other cares deeply but rarely shows anyone just how much.
1. Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices: From the minute I was first introduced to his character in Clockwork Angel, I knew I was getting into something good. I could tell this boy was more than he seemed to be on the surface. And what makes for better reading than a multidimensional character that just gets better and better as you go along? In my opinion, he’s at his best in Clockwork Prince, and I cannot wait to read more about him in Clockwork Princess!
2. Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games: He had me at the burned loaf of bread. Y’all know what part I’m talking about. He has a soft, doughy heart just like the yeasty bread he bakes with his father. Also, he has a firmness of character that I remember admiring throughout the series. Of course, he goes through a lot a lot a lot in the series and during his worst moments in Mockingjay my Peeta love kept chugging along! I’ll always remember him for his heartbreaking “real or not real”.
Honorable Mention (this one probably shouldn’t count, but I’m the one writing this so it does! Muwahaha ah ah):
Stefan Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries: I have to add that, though I haven’t read the Vampire Diaries books and I’m relatively certain the show hardly follows the storyline of the books, I would like to put in an honorary mention for Mr. Stefan Salvatore…that boy is workin’ it this season. *winks* (And by workin’ it, I mean tugging at my heartstrings like crazy these past few episodes!) Also, I just finished reading this week’s EW cover story on the show, and found out how, um, dedicated each side of the Delena/Stelena battle is. So please don’t hurt me for not having read the books, k?
