EW and MTV are reporting that next year’s Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” will feature a Twilight parody!  Not only that, but Daniel Radcliffe will be voicing the character of Edmund, a vampire boy that Lisa falls for!  I know it’s almost a year away, but…yay!

In his appearance, Radcliffe will play Edmund, a boy vampire whom Lisa falls for. Unfortunately for the Twilight-crossed lovers, Homer and Dracula — Edmund’s dear, old dad — don’t approve of the union, and they endeavor to put a stop to it. Obviously not a direct spoof of the “Twilight” plot.

“Twilight” has remained untouched until now, however. It probably has something to do with the fact that the phenomenon triggered in large part by the movie’s release is only a year old. It’s relatively common knowledge among fans that an average episode of “The Simpsons” takes roughly nine months to produce, so “Twilight”’s rapid rise in popularity explains why we’ll only just be seeing a “Simpsons” nod — a series known for staying culturally relevant — next season.

Tonic’s Erin Green has a great article on what happens to the female brain when women start falling for fictional characters.  Green enlists the aid of biological anthropologist Dr. Helen Fisher to delve into what helps feed the Twilight frenzy.  Click here to read the entire article!

Waiting near the red carpet for a glimpse of a star can be “about sharing this experience with your friends and tightening your community,” says Fisher. “You aren’t just connected to this person but you’re connecting to the people around you.”

There were about five people in different departments who, because of my forelock, ended up in tears.”

Collider has posted New Moon on-set interviews with Stephenie, Ashley, Chris, Michael, and Dakota!  They also have new interviews with Rob and Taylor!

USA Today has a new article on New Moon, which includes a few new photos of Kristen, Taylor, and Chris!

Stewart, 19, certainly enjoyed the change of pace on camera. “Both of them make me feel completely different,” she says of her co-stars. “Taylor is an impulsive actor, not Method at all. It’s very easy to smile with him. With Rob, we both tend to worry and over-analyze everything.”

As for any rivalry between the two male leads, “I think Rob enjoyed teasing Taylor about his exercise regimen,” Weitz says. But Pattinson appears more than ready to share the paparazzi-propelled burden of Twilight mania. “Rob would like me to say, ‘This is Taylor’s film. Fandango is reporting that New Moon has outsold Twilight in presale ticket sales, making it the #4 all-time advanced ticket seller on Fandango! Click here to read all the stats!

New Moon opens at midnight one week from tonight, but the film has already outsold its predecessor, Twilight, in total advance ticket sales on Fandango, the nation’s leading movie ticketing destination. The new movie currently represents 75% of the site’s ticket sales.

“Ever since we started selling advance tickets to New Moon on August 31, the demand has been unstoppable, as the fan base just keeps growing every day,” says Fandango Chief Operating Officer Rick Butler. “New Moon is tracking to be Fandango’s #1 top advance ticket-seller of all time.”

MTV will be airing two new back-to-back Twilight specials on November 16 @ 10pm!  Here are the details on the upcoming specials:

On Monday, November 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, MTV will air “Love Bites,” an exclusive half-hour special examining the lives, love and literature fueling Hollywood’s current obsession with “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Utilizing new interviews, never-before-seen footage and the vast library we’ve accumulated over the last few years of being the fans’ top “Twilight” news resource, we’ll show you the couple affectionately known as “RPattz” and “KStew” like you’ve never seen them before.
