I have heard that braeking dawn is the last chapter in the twilight series, Please tell me that is not true!!!!!!!!!!!! I fell in love when I first read twilight and now I cant get the series out of my head i love these books!!!! and i defiently cant wait to see the movie when It comes out Whopeee!!! Hey ladies! LOVE the podcast. I just started listening to it. (My other Twilight Podcasters left me! ;_; ) But the three of you are hilarious! I wanted to give you a little info, if you haven’t received it yet, and also ask a question. The info is that I have seen a lot of people banning together after the recent ‘tragedy’ over the leak of the Midnight Sun chapters about showing Stephenie how much her fans support her. I, for one, am involved in several projects to show Stephenie my support. And wanted to give that info to you, and to all your listeners. Over on YouTube, for those who can do it, a girl by the name of TwilightTricia is doing a video with as many people as possible showing their support. Then on FaceBook there is a group that I’m involved in that is called “Midnight Sun Leak Boycott” if anyone is interested. I know a few more websites are doing their own show of support to. So if you want to pass that on, that’s great! But wanted to give you guys a heads up.
Then my question is: On the podcast #31 the song “Whole Again” by Jakob Martin, where in the world can I get it?!? I love it! I searched iTunes, but it’s not on there. Or is it one of those things that’s just specially for the podcast? lol

If there was a 5th Twilight book besides Midnight Sun, What should it be called and what should it be about? I think it should be called The End of The Moon and it should be about the life and struggles with things like Renesmee growing up and that there is a new evil vampire group that goes with the Volturi and convince tem to try and come back at Bella, Edward, and Renesmee. You told us to e-mail you saying if we realized it or not at the end of Jacob’s book. I have to say I’m with Kassie on this one. I totally didn’t realize it. I think that was partly because I was in shock & was rushing through the last few pages to see what was happening. It just didn’t sink in. Just wanted to let you know you weren’t alone, Kassie!

Hi there! I’m afraid I am one of your fans that just recently started listening to your podcast. I started just before “Breaking Dawn” came out. But since I’m working on my doctorate, I haven’t had a great deal of time to spend reading like I wish I could, so in order not to encounter any spoilers, I stopped listening until after I had read the book. Imagine my surprise when I finally listened to your podcast on 8/20!!!!! The subject was the birth of Renesmee, the turning point of the book and the most graphically chilling chapter, and all I hear are your references to everything being “cute!” There was nothing “cute” that occurred in that chapter. It was a horribly painful chapter beginning with the pain that Bella was in, her lost of consciousness and near choking, the helplessness of Edward, and Jacob’s agony at watching all this happen to her and his subsequent resignation (however erroneous) to her death. You didn’t even have the correct order of events! It was Rosalie that shout that the placenta had detached, and the baby that was convulsing, broke Bella’s bones, but her spine wasn’t broken until after Bella had been carried upstairs. When that happened, Edward finally began to cut the baby out because Jacob reminded him that Bella wouldn’t feel anything now that her spine had been broken. It was Rosalie who lost her focus because she refused to hunt before the birth of the baby. Jasper wasn’t even in the room. Alice had to take Rosalie to him after Jacob had knocked he around. You never mentioned the idea of Edward having to chew the baby out of the womb!!!!! There was nothing remotely funny or cute about this chapter!!!!! Edward broke Jacob’s fingers as he shoved him out of the way so he could inject his venom in her heart. You said that Jacob just left Bella because she was dead, but it wasn’t like that!!! He no longer felt the connection to her because her heart has stopped ( and we later realize that the baby had been taken out of the room!). The only way to keep her heart going was for him to do CPR. Edward TOLD HIM TO GO!!!!!!!!!!! I won’t even begin to deal with the whole “imprinting” discussion except to ask, did you remember that Jacob gave a short (albeit vague) description of what it felt like for a werewolf to imprint in “New Moon?” He was talking about Quil’s imprinting on Claire. I am just sorely disappointed in how you all handled this portion of the book. Yes there were some really funny parts particularly between Jacob and Rosalie. But the birth of Renesmee was not one of them.
Hey you guys. I was at the bookstore yesterday and ran into a Twilight fan. We started talking and had an interesting conversation… she seemed to think that Stephenie Meyer was LYING when she said she wasn’t going to continue Midnight Sun and she thinks that that all the chaos that happened there was just a publicity stunt. She even thinks that Stephenie is DONE with the story and is just trying to get more publicity for her books. I thought she was crazy but there’s no sure way to know for sure. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about that.

just a bit of news/interest but Empire magazine (one of the top movie mags in the UK) has a beginners guide feature to Twilight on their website http://www.empireonline.com/features/twilight/ and the online newsletter is the lead story by the online editor and he basically is quite positive about the movie and says he’s read the books and enjoyed them.
i really hopes this means a poss twilight cover because i might actually die of excitement. love you guys and the show

Y’all crack me up. I love your personalities, and it’s nice to know that people my own age read these books too. I’ve downloaded all of the podcasts available on iTunes, and I have to say that I was really impressed with how accurate y’all were in your theories before Breaking Dawn came out. “Eric Bana” for the roll of Aro, the Volturi leader. Eric Bana is perfect in my opinion, he has one of the best acting and I always imagine him when I read about Aro. Read about Eric Bana and you will find many options to why you should pick him.

Just wanted to donate my time to go to the Twilight Premier in Hollywood for the podcast…I know its a sacrifice, but someones got to do it. But, seriously…I LOVE YOUR PODCAST and I would love for you to stay with me and my family if you are coming out here (if money is an issue for you guys). I live in San Diego and we are going, any way we can, on Sunday for the premier and spending the night, me and my daughter. (She doesn’t know we don’t have actual tickets and aren’t seeing the movie, just the stars maybe walking in, oh well, what she doesn’t know won”t hurt a 12 year old). But you are welcome to stay in our motorhome at our house, it is beautiful (better than our house) and I will be your personal tour guide! Hey guys!! hows it going? hey i had a brilliant theorie!! you know that song in the 1st trailer and the song called “red mist” that you put on your website (link to website page that has it). Welll i think that “red mist” IS bella’s lullaby BUT only part of it. According to that EW article about someone hearing the soundtrack/commenting on it, they said that Bella’s lullaby is 2:20 min long and that it has a piano play simple notes but it relies heavily with a lot of strings. IT FITS THE DESCRYPTION COMPLETELY!! But to remind you again, “red mist” is only 2:02 min long but i think its just part of bella’s lullaby (if you listen to it, it just stops. doesnt stop at an end). and plus that song was played on the trailer and (usually) everysong played on trailers of the movie/ the movie itself HAS to be on the soundtrack. So what do you think? im very sure it is Bella’s lullaby. Plus the song called Red Misr, is that its actual name? cuz they dont have it on the soundtrack and they would DEFINATELY have that song on the soundtrack!So listen to red mist, red my ideas, and tell me what you think!! hey girls! just so you know there is a great song out there that relates perfectly to New Moon. It’s called Near To You by A Fine Frenzy. It s a really great song and i think would be great to use at the beginging of one of your podcasts or something. Its a really good song and just to warn you, Kassie may not like it because though it starts off talking about ( relating to) Edward and Bella, most of it relates to Bella and Jacob. Trust me its an awesome song!

The show was aired November the 14th. So if you wanted to know about vampires in real life, look for a rerun. FYI- this show is not for the faint of heart or younger twilighters as it is very disturbing and unnerving!

hi guys! just wanted to let u know i live near boston and i was reading the boston globe and there was this article about rob… in it they say a little summary of the book and they made some horrible mistakes…. they were like, and the vampire from OREGON, the cullens……. OREGON, the cullens live in washinton… also they say that in the sun edward sparkles like gold! that makes no sence… it’s diamonds! it was so funny i was yelling random things at the paper like “FORKS omg it is FORKS people, and like DIAMONDS IS HOW THE MAN SPARKLES!” and my dad gave me this look that was worth a million dollars

I was thinking that the song “until the day I die” By story of the year should be on the new moon soundtrack.. the line where it says “But if you died right now You know that I’d die too I’d die too” totally applies to the whole Edward thinks Bella kills herself so he goes to the Volturi to kill himself. Eh? I thought i did a great job thinking that up. I had another song too, but it escapes my mind right now. If I shall remember, my post WILL be up. I missed the question of the week last week but I really wanted to tell you guys what I thought so here it is:
-I was disappointed that they only talked about “dazzling” people like once in the whole movie
-I thought the movie in general was hilarious, in a good way. i laughed every time Jackson/Jasper was ont the screen, and also all of the cheesy scenes with Bella and Edward made me laugh (but I loved them!!)
-I think all of the actors played their roles PERFECTLY. I absolutely loved Nikki Reed as Rosalie; everything she does just screams “I hate Bella Swan” LOL
-My favorite 5 seconds of the ENTIRE film was when Edward walks into school with Bella wearing his Ray Bans. It was fabulous.
-I took my 18-year-old brother to see it. (He was mad because when we walked into the theater we saw a few girls from our high school. He didn’t want anyone to know he went =]) Anyways, he really liked it. He asked me some questions about how it differed from the book and stuff. I was so happy! Let’s just say he’s not the biggest romance-story guy. So that proves that anyone can appreciate the movie!!
-I HATED the spider monkey line. And the scene before it was really awkward and weird (when they’re dancing) it wasn’t cute or romantic or anything
-lastly, I went with my cousin (she’s 14 and i’m 15-it was her second time seeing it) and she pointed out to me that Rob, through the whole movie struggles to pronouce the “th” sound. I just thought that was really funny.
-one more thing..one goof I noticed that ibdm didn’t: Billy Black drives in the movie!!! at one point Bella and Edward are hanging out outside the Swan hosue and Edward leaves because he hears Billy coming. Then you see Billy and Edward glare at eachother as they drive by eachother and Billy’s in the drivers seat!! The whole reason Bella gets the rusty truck is because Billy can no longer use it!!!

hey guys I just read the MTV article about who should be cast as Jacob for new moon and I think they’re totally wrong. I guess this suggestion is a little late since you guys already did a podcast on suggestions for new moon cast but I think steven strait would make an awesome jacob. I’m probably not the only one that thinks so too. I’m really sad about replacing taylor lautner though…………I love the podcast keep up the awesome work!

i just wanted to comment on the subject of all the cast changes,
i dont think any of the actors should be changed, if you think back to (i know we dont like to relate to this) but to harry potter in the first movie some of the actors were not the best but none of them were changed,
i think if the main characters are changed, like you were saying bella, edward, rosalie, esme etc. it will confuse audiences and they want that familiarisation so they can relate the first and second movie together.

Hi Ladies, with reagrds to the movie podcasts (which I love), I just wanted to make a few comments and 1 correction….
1) I also did not like the spakle and when cassie made the libby lu comment - I belted out a laugh so loud my husband jumped (i was listening on my ipod) ….. Maybe we should send chris wietz a bottle of sparkle from libby lu!
2) I loved the baseball scene….and rosalie’s comment was “that’s my monkey man”….and…sorry but I disagree with ya hear…I loved that comment….and I think b/c they can climb and leap trees so effortlessly, that monkey comments make a bit of sense…Same with spider monkey…it’s endearing and an actual spider monkey jumps from tree to tree, which also shows Edward’s intellect b/c he knows what a spider monkey really is (ok I am reaching here but I thought I would try) …..
Lastly, I felt the exact same way as you ladies when I saw it the first time. Even though I knew going in that it was not going to be like the book, I still seemed to analyze the movie in my head….. But the 2nd and 3rd time I enjoyed better….I just watched it for what it was…a twilight movie! Then the 4th time (yes I said 4th) was with my husband…I had to go with someone who didn’t read the books so I could a get true opinion of the movie and not have his comments swayed by the book. Besides he wanted to go anyway..yeah! He liked it. He understood it and he even got the werewolf connection with the Billy and Jake….
Of course I tried to defend my months of swooning over Rob and said to my husband…..”Come on honey, you have to admit he’s good looking” and my husband clearly answered “oh yes, he is a good looking “kid”!!!! UGH! That brought me down to earth a little bit…

So, i know that Catherine Hardwicke directed Twilight and didnt do as good as she should have, but maybe its her stress.I heard she yelled a lot and got mad all the time.Somebody said she got fired and is replaced by the director of The Golden Compass.And their budget is 50 million dollars instead of 37 million.So, maybe they will do a better job on this movie, but i wont like it as much because edward leaves. :*(

Hi Guys! I was just wondering if you guys had any idea who got cast for Jacob Black? I know the decision was supposedly made friday and I wasn’t sure if you had heard anything, or if they haven’t said who they signed yet. Also, to all of the comments above about breaking dawn, they are probably going to wait a few years for that movie because special effects will get better as time goes on. But I do think they will make it because summit entertainment did buy the rights, I just think they are going to wait a little while. I was just wondering what you guys thought about Breaking dawn having more conflict dealing with tanya but edward and bella still have renesmae. Any way Jacob is still upset finding out Bellas pregnat and comes to the cullens house and angryly starts yelling at edward when Tanya “desenceds” from the staircase and jacob turns to look at her and IMPRINTS!!!

I just wanted to say that people are choosing people with long brown hair to be Jane, when really, in New Moon.(page 456) it says… “At first I thought it was a ypung boy. The newcomer was as tiny as Alice, with lank, pale brown hair trimmed short. The body under the cloak-which was darker, almost black-was slim and andorgynous. But the face was to pretty for a boy. The wide-eyed, full-lipped face would make a Botticelli angle look like a gargoyle. Even allowing for the dull crimson irises…” So really, Jane has sort, boy-ish hair. Not long hair… Also it says that Aro and Marcus both have dark hair, but Caius has snow-white hair.(page 466 for Aro, and page 469 for Marcus and Caius) So… I just thought that I sould point that stuff out. I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE YOUR podcast. I am a 32 year old mom of a 14 year old girl and we both love the Twilight Series. I fell in love with the books because it is similar to my own life. (FYI, I am not a vampires) But, I fell in love with my soul mate and best friend when I was 17 years old. I’m very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he’s doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.
The characters in Stephenie’s books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I’m looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

I love the Twilight series and acutally found you ladies by luck when listening to Imprint, and you did the joint live show with them. I just have to say that you ladies are class acts. I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts, find your explanations, predictions, and examination of the Twilight series to be spot on, in depth, and has made me appreciate the series all the more. It is funny, since I just finished the Alice & Jasper podcast this morning, to hear how good you both were at predicting some of the things from Breaking Dawn. I am sure I will discover much more great material as I try to quickly work my way through the rest of the podcasts to get up to date.
Again, just let me say that I feel lucky to have found you, and hope that all your listeners can convince you to contiue on for the forseeable future, or at least until the movies are done!

ok so i just wanted to defend jacob b/c i LOVE him… i ttly lyk feel his pain all the time! lyk in New Moon i cried lyk a thousand times when bella was with jacob (for example; page 224 when jacob has just transformed into a werewolf and has to tell Bella not to come see him until he calls. He hangs up on Bella and his last goodbye until what he thinks will be years [until sam thinks he has control enough to be around her safely] is her name… also, I cried when he has to lie to her when she finally gets to see him… another part was when she goes to visit him and tells him she knows what he is, but she thinks the pack is responsable for the dissappearances… i was also soo angry when they were in the car [pg 376] after she has jumped off of the cliff and he is taking her home and he smells Alice inside her house! i was sooo upset i wished i could somehow change that one little instant! the most agravating part of the whole book was when he was about to kiss her [pg 411] but then the phone rings! i was sooo mad because that kiss is what i had always wanted to happen!) obviously- i LOVE jacob! anytime people try to argue that jacob is dumb and annoying and mean to bella the way he keeps trying to get her to love him throughout the whole series then i have a great argument against that and its a little confusing so bear with me if you have to read it more than once because it is sooo worth it!
If Edward treated Bella the way Bella treats Jacob, would you expect Bella to act any other way towards Edward than the way Jacob acts toward Bella. Since the series is for the most part written about Bella, and from her point of view, we see clearly her love towards Edward. She would not just leave Edward alone and consent to being just friends if Edward were to need her to be happy the way Bella needs Jacob. Bella would not be able to help herself! She would try to get Edward to love her, and she wouldnt give up until Edward gave in- thats what true love is!

I’m new to this podcast as well. I actually got all of the episodes through Microsofts Zune software. I have a Zune and and iPod and like you, I wasn’t able to get them through iTunes. Download the Zune software from zune.net, set up the download directory to be the same as your iTunes directory, and you should be able to get all the past episodes and they will import right into your iTunes library. I now have all the episodes and both my Zune and iPod. : )

I really like your podcast, it has helped to answer a lot of my questions…but I’m just starting Eclipse and I have to say that I’m very annoyed w/ Bella’ character. She has 2 moods, mad or scared. She isn’t nice to anyone, doesn’t seem like fun at all & she’s very ungrateful. I don’t see what the guys see in her, but having said that…I really like the story. The danger & story line keep me interested. So why all the hype? Am I the only one who doesn’t like Bella? I also don’t like the fact that she didn’t bat an eye when Rosalie told her she had killed those 5 men, but then she judges Jacob for what the wolves do. I wonder also if the things that attract Bella to Edward will still apply for him if or when she does become a vampire? That’s probably answered in the last book. I’m just frustrated because I like the story and the concept so much, but can’t stand the main character. What am I missing?
Any insights would be helpful. I don’t mind if they’re spoilers, I just need help understanding her.

Anyways don’t know if you will read this comment but I was watching a few episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I notice that Gil Birmingham”Billy Black”, happens to be in the episode titled “Inca Mummy Girl”, and plays the character Peru Man who is a bodyguard. Its season two episode 4. It seems he was destined to be in a vampire/ werewolf movie. Hope you like that tidbit!

hey guys! to start off, i love this podcast!! i totally laugh all the time. i love twilight, am on Team Jasper, and love having debates w/ my friend about Edward and jacob. screw jacob!!! okay, i have downloaded all of the podcasts from the past and still have yet to listen to them all… i am currently listening to the imprinting one from about a year ago, and i have a question. i already know who jacob imprinted on, but i was still wondering. If leah HAD imprinted on jacob, wouldn’t he have imprinted on her first if they are soul mates. after all, it says that the first time you see them after you become a werewolf, you instantly imprint. jacob changed before leah, and he had seen leah before she changed. just a thought.

They make Breaking Dawn into a movie and everybody loves It, but if they split it up, the entire movie series will stink (even though I’ll probably still get them on DVD to get more Rob)
They should make Eclipse (the movie) completely into Jacob’s point of view, even though I absolutely hate him. I think that would make it more in depth then what Bella talks about.
Nessie’s Point of view is put into Midnight Sun with Eward’s point of view (like an epilogue at the end) That would be completely awesome. Also cool to see what a very cool “adult_baby” is thinking. Ooh! Chills!

WOW, I just listened to Supporter Speculations Podcast Week 47, and heard that Kallie had recommended OUTLANDER
to read. I LOVE THESE BOOKS. I became addicted to them years ago and they have a fond place in my heart. The character’s are amazing. (I love Jamie and Claire!) And there are six of them so far in the series, real door stopper books like Twilight. This is a series you can definitely get lost in, and the story just gets better and better with each book.
This is absolutely adult reading, there is a lot of really good sass, if you know what I mean, and some violence. I have read them each multiple times and each time I get more out of the story just like Twilight, there is hidden goodness to be found.
Top favorite books:
OUTLANDER (Drums of Autumn is my fave in series)
TWILIGHT (Eclipses is tied with Breaking Dawn)

This is to comment on re-reading the books. I am a single mom of two and also very busy. Sorry have not READ the books, I did the audiobooks route and relistened to them ALL over and over. I can walk around with my itouch and listen and I still pick up things that I missed the other multi times. I am always a few weeks behind in listening to both of you. It is always interesting listening to the audiobooks because of the different voices and picturing them in your mind of what the look like while different voices are being done. Have you thought of doing the book that way?
Audlt : I loved Outlander that way (it was sooo long) and the Circle or Key Series were ok too. I have so many Audiobooks and its great to get things done (reading is great) but for a busy mom I get two things done and once where I cannot when I’m sitting reading.
I have all of Stephanie’s books and my 11yr old is listening to the audio while going word per word with the book. Its working for her, otherwise she would be on the WII. Her 12th bday is 11-18 so SHE wants to have a sleepover friday to watch Twilight and then a movie party for New Moon with her friends. I think this will be so much fun. She has been making a list on who is going since the New Moon release date was released.

Hey Kallie and Kassie! This is my first time commenting to any of y’all podcasts so…sorry for the awkwardness of this comment.
Okay, so, when I heard this week’s podcast - Week #52 The Break Up - I laughed when the comment about’s Taylor’s abnormally white and shiny teeth coming up again. And I forget who exactly mentioned, “We need a song to go with this,” because you guys were singing songs according to comments and stuff (rofl, I do that sometimes with my sister too).
Well, I don’t know if you guys know about the cartoon tv series THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS on Nickelodeon, but in there, a character singer, Chip skylark, is obsessed with his “pearly whites”. So, cracking up throught my hunt for this song on youtube, i found the song (sadly not the video, but with clipart) and thought it was an appropriate song to sing when you guys bring up Taylor’s - Jacob’s - teeth again! XD

Okay so this is my viewpoint on the movie:
before i saw it, i was psyched that it was only seconds away, then i automatically started picking out what was wrong and i couldn’t even enjoy it. the second time i saw it, i just sat back and watched it. it made me really appreciate the book a LOT more because twilight was my least favorite, yes i now its hard to believe. because it was the book that started it all, and its when they learn about each other and all, but when i read it, it gave me and uncomfortable feeling, because i knew there was another book, and so i knew that something had to happen in order for her to make a second book, and the whole, her worrying about him all the time and wondering where he is at every moment…it just put the whole book on edge for me. but the movie being horrible to me that first time, made me realize, no one is going to get is as perfect as i have it in my head. and i value the way Bella/Stephenie described Edward, and how she starts to read his face better as the book progresses. Somehow, i just didn’t really feel chemistry between them on set at all, not even in the bedroom scene. the only time for me that i felt that she REALLY cared, was when it was in the greenhouse and she said you don’t even say hi to me and she sounded really upset. or when they ditch school for the woods so he can explain, she has seen him for what? like 2 scenes and all of a sudden they are madly in love. what really offended me was that he showed her him sparkling to scare her, and in the book it was because he cared about her. those are my thoughts on the subject. yes i enjoyed it and i have it on my ipod so i can enjoy it whenever. love the show. this was also on the question of the week and i really want to show you my pov on the twilight movie you guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in Michigan and I have two things to say. And I started listening to you a little while ago but i am still catching up. The one on the warm and cold weather. i love it when it gets cold in the fall but by spring i am sick of the cold, so i agree with you both on that one. Also you guys were talking about haveing 1,000,000 dollars and a 1 month Vaction, well i was listening while grocery shopping with my mom and just after you guys were talking about it I saw a sign that said you can win a million and on our way out i saw a sign that read “A trip to Irenland or Scottland. HA HA!! By the way i am only 13.

Now I first off i love both of you! Anyways I have a thing to point out, in the movie whenever the Cullens would run or do anything at vampire speed,there was a whooshing type noise. Now in the books, Bella is always saying how much she is startled by the Cullens because they are noiseless to her, to human ears. I was just wondering if you guys noticed this, and if you have any thoughts about it. Again I love you guys you are hilarious! keep up the great work.

Okay so i just had an epiphany. i know that a lot of people didn’t think that breaking dawn went with the rest of the twilight series, and maybe i should just get over it and read it again to make it okay, but i KNOW some people were upset with it. but here we go:
1) i didn’t have the nomads in it, and that was a big part of the series.
2) there wasn’t much fighting action (and im not talking about verbal here) but lets think back on it shall we? so book I, Bella: they get married, honeymoon, prego, and da da da da da. Book II Jacob, hes hangin wit quil, and gets mad and there is a hint of non-verbal fighting going on with the situation with him getting mad at Edward and deciding to try to kill everyone, and then another hint of fighting as he stands up to Sam, and then its on the edge of it getting into a treaty fight when Jacob is on the Cullen side. Then we experience the whole depression thing about ‘OMG Bella is dying, i love her, she’s an idiot’ deal, and then the deal with Jared, and then Bella giving birth to renesmee.(as much as i thought the whole pregnant thing was weird, i loved renesmee! its like parents when they find out their 16 year old daughter is pregnant and they are really upset, but after they get over it they are planning the shower, and the baby’s room colors like crazy!) but still, not much action to really make you think that there is something VITAL going on.
3) it’s Jacobs point of view. and even if it would have been from Bella’s, she would have been so wrapped around the baby and making everyone feel better it would have been sickening. so it partly didn’t feel like home( i guess you would call it, (at least for me)) because it wasn’t from her pov.
4) once she was a vampire, even then there wasn’t any fighting action (and no, i don’t count the mind fight, or the practicing fighting) and she was a totally different person and i felt like my friend had left. because you knew her so well, and she became grown up, and she just wasn’t BELLA for me anymore, e3xcept the love for Edward and her friendliness towards Jacob., and her love for the Cullens, and renesmee.
5) the whole, a-whole-bunch-of-vampires-show-up-at-their-house-for-a-really-big-purpose-that-doesn’t-even-happen thing, and it being awkward.
so thats what i think and you can like it, love it, or hate it, but i dont care!!!!!

Hi, i was listening to your podcast ‘A Bloomin’ Relationship’ #54 and i was listening to when you said who you would love to play in the movie and i just wanted to get mine out. HaHa. Well if i could play anyone i would love to be Rosalie and i have a whole heap of reasons. HaHa.

I have been wanting to write stephanie meyer about the midnight sun book. I know that this is probably a touch and go subject for her, but I wish that there was a way to let her know how badly fans want her to finish and publish it! I was hoping that maybe you guys (well…gals) might have an idea. Nobody wants to push anyone into doing anything, I just think that if she had an idea of how badly we wll want to read it, maybe that would help in her decision making process. (For the record…I havent even read the bits of it on SM’s site, hoping for a published version!!) We all know that she is a very busy woman, and that midnight sun is very near and dear to her heart, but I think that it would mean the same to all of us twilighters if she published it!
So Dakota Fanning is playing Jane in New Moon? In the 1st edition:Sept 2006 ed of New Moon hardback, pg 456 fifth paragraph states “At first I thought it was a young boy. The newcomer was as tiny as Alice, with lank, pale brown hair trimmed short. The body under the cloak-which was darker, almost black-was slim and androgynous. But the face was too pretty for a boy. The wide-eyed, full lipped face would make a Botticelli angel look like a Gargoyle. Even allowing for the dull crimson irises.” Jane is supposed to be dark complected according to that passage so why then is Dakota playing her I wonder??

Unfortunately, I didn’t listen to you podcast since Christmas, because I had to focus on the university and stuff, but now the academic year is over and I am on my summer break… consequently I have enough time to catch up. Just so you know why my comment might me a little bit outdated. I just bought the dvd today (it comes out kind of late in the Netherlands - in August; so I had to go to Germany to get it because it just came out there) and it was the first time I could really watch the movie and just form an opinion.
first: I love your podcast! I have two sisters, so it reminds me of them, when I listen to you. It is sooo funny
I have to say that I am little bit disappointed. When I read the books… (I feel like I am the only one who thinks so) but Edward was so funny. That’s one of the main reasons why I liked the books so much. Bella made him laugh and most of the times you could still see his sense of humor. He is constantly laughing, smiling, chuckling and so on. That lacked in the movie. I feel that laughing is a sign of carefreeness (is that a real word? … I hope you know what I mean) so that for a second he can just enjoy being.
The second thing that annoyed me was that Bella was kind of weird, not in the geek way but rather that she said things linke “oh my gosh” or “your hands are like so cold” or “you have so much music”. those were the lines that hit me the most. I felt that in the books real Bella would never say things like that. It is just not like her to be such a chick. I don’t mind that they had to change some of the timeline that some events take place earlier or … but they changed a the very essence of what these characters and the books are about, and that is what makes the movie a disappointment.
However, I love the enthusiasm they had. And for the sake of Catherine Hardwick’s passion I enjoyed it. Because I know how much she wanted to make a great movie. I am hoping that the new director is going to capture a little bit of that humor portraied in the books we all love so much.

hey so i got podcasts yesterday! omg kallie, when you laugh, it sounds like your choking on popcorn or something lol. ( im talking about the twilight commentary). and when bella sees edward for the first time, in the cafeteria, it looks like shes yawning when she turns! and then, in biology, it was the cheesiest hello i have ever heard. he sounded like he was some spaced out high little kid with brain problems. did you notice that bella has two shades in her hair becasue she came to the set with red and black streaks so they dyed them reddish brown and dark brown. how stupid,,,,anyway, love the show!

I just discovered your podcast on iTunes about a month ago. I downloaded them all and I am slowly making my way through them. I love your podcast! I discovered the Twilight series through my mother who works in a bookstore. She read them and then told me I should read them. I teach English to 7th and 8th graders so she thought I would be interested in them for my students. I was excited for my students after I read them, but I was even more excited for me. I LOVE THEM!! Hi Kallie and Kassie - love your work! Wish I had of found you-all earlier - BUT!!! I was way too busy with my head in the Twilight Series to come up for air! I’ve been listening to your podcasts over the weekend and love them. I was a bit disappointed that I wasn’t able to take part in your discussions as they went - but I really wanted to share some of the theories I came up with whilst reading my favourite fantasy series EVAAAA - don’t know how useful this will be to you - but here goes…
My Main Theory relates to a vampire’s ability to pass on traits through creation - much like biological parents pass on traits to their children. So it occured to me that the “Carlisle created” Cullens have a greater sense of self control around humans because they inherited this control from Carlisle when he created them. This would explain Jasper’s inability to adjust to the vegetarian way as he was created by Maria who held no regard for human life - whereas Alice was created by compassionate old vampire who had kept her human and cared for her as a human until he “made her strong” when he thought James was going to kill her anyway.
Edward’s self control is very strong (far more so than Carlisle as he proved by being able to with Bella) and so when Edward created Bella, she inherited his amazing self control and was thus able to by-pass the bloodthirsty “newborn” stage altogether. I don’t think her self control was an “extra vampire talent” at all - only an inherited trait. This was also true for Renesmee although she inherited hers via her parentage rather than creation.
My second main theory relates to the strength of Edward’s love for Bella and her’s for him.
I think that the FIRST time that a heart is touched by (romantic/sensual) LOVE and releases love in return - the affect etched into those hearts never disappears. This is the case for both Bella and Edward.
In Bella’s case, she comes to Forks and is immediately drawn into Edward’s world. All her experiences with Edward are highly sensory stimulated (because of the vampire lures) and are accompanied by extraordinary levels of emotions including anxiety and attraction. She willfully overcomes fear and faces death on at least two occasions that we know of prior to the break-up - the first when she goes to the meadow with him and they declare their love and the second when she goes to face James in the ballet studio. I don’t know about you-all but I can only imagine that with that strength of intense passion alive in you - the bindings of love would become very strong indeed. To further compound the intensity, Edward saves Bella’s life many times as well. Now again, I have no first hand experience with this but I’ve heard many times that this kind of experience can have a profound affect upon the way people feel toward eachother. Given these things alone, I think Bella’s moping after the breakup is highly justifiable - in fact I don’t think we give nearly ENOUGH credit given the intensity of the love she would have had for Edward at that point. We also must remember she could not confide in anyone about the Cullens - not with her school friends - the friendships were not strong enough at that point and none would have believed her, they would just have thought she was crazy!
When she began her friendship with Jacob - she finally found someone she could confide in - afterall - his tribe already knew about the Cullens anyway. She did not betray Edward - this was not something he had confided in Bella but something she guessed herself in the restaurant at Port Angeles. So I say CHEERS to Bella - here was a girl who knew how to love deeply and passionately!
In Edward’s case, when he falls in love with Bella I think its a bit like imprinting only stronger. He talks to Jacob about this in Eclipse the night before the fight with the newborns - he says “we are set the way we are, and it is very rare for us to experience a real change. When that happens, as when Bella entered my life, it is a permanent change. There’s no going back….” Like imprinting - I don’t think Edward had a choice about falling in love with Bella.
I want to be Very Clear that I do not condone suicide in any way. I also think it is important to remember that Edward is a VAMPIRE who has been alive/existing for a very long time with no hope for a peaceful end to his existence. We, (from our purely human standpoint) can be very firm and strong in our conviction that to purposefully end a life is as wrong as could be - but what if we could think about that from a vampire’s perspective? He is a Vampire afterall - not a human - and he was not THINKING as a human - nor was thinking about taking a human life! Firstly, his Life has already been taken - he now only exists and considers himself a monster! Then Bella came along and brought hope to his existence - she brought him a form of life - he imagined he could feel alive with this “feeling of love” inside him. When Edward thought Bella was dead he also died again - the depth of his despair is beyond our ability to imagine - as Bella says of her ability to feel love as a vampire - “My old mind hadn’t been capable of holding this much love. My old heart had not been strong enough to bear it”. This being the case, I don’t think it was unreasonable in the slightest that Edward went to the Volturi. I believe that Edward held “Life” in the highest regard of course, which was why he suffered so much to keep Bella alive - to NOT destroy her “Soul” - but he didn’t believe he had a soul any longer! He believed it was sacrificed during the transformationed into a vampire - so certainly at that point - yes it was entirely reasonable that the went to the Volturi. As he said to Jacob, change comes rarely to a vampire, it is permanent. While humans are capable of healing - it seems vampires are not. We see this further demonstrated in Tanya, Kate and Irina’s still intense mourning for their mother.
Oh! I have so many more theories…. But I this is already way too long and you probably don’t mention them anymore anyway. I’ll be listening out for more of your brilliant podcasts though - can’t wait for New Moon movie. I think the “Pack” will be the new heart-throb sensation of the movie - but Edward lovers will get their fill via Bella’s hallucinations.

omg! on the next podcast (knowing kalli she was going to do it anyway) ya’ll so should talk about the HP movie. i’m not a fan of the books (just never read them) but the movie was so good! except for the end, but whatever. and Q! i peronally thought the twilight movie sucked and i really loved the books, but do you think the upcoming movies for twilight will ever be atleast in the same ballpark as the HP movies. i know thats comparing a big studio vs. a little studio, but i need hope!

So maybe a month or two ago, I was sat at home, and I saw an ad for a new york book fair, so I thought to myself, Why not go, and check it out? So I got myself and my dad on a flight to new york. At this book fair, they had some copys of books that havnt been relesed yet. One of them being, “Eternal Kiss”, I saw it was about vampires, and brought it for the heck of it. Its been on my book shelf ever since. Then I heared you talking about it in your last podcast, and you said you wanted to read it, I started reading it this morning, so i havnt gotten very far. But its great! I highly reccomend it. So far anyways. Just thought I should let you know!

I’m reading New Moon for the third time and was just watching the movie as well and I noticed something. In the movie when Bella and Edward find out that Weiland was killed, Bella asks Carlisle if it was the same animal that killed the security officer down in Mason county. Well, reading New Moon again I just finished the part where Carlisle tells Bella of Edwards parents Elizabeth and Edward Mason. Mason, Coincidence?

okay so i just wanted to let you girls realize, that the BREAKING DAWN 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY is coming up?!?!?!?! im so sad… i remember my breaking dawn obsession and my speculations about what would happen it could have too. here was my speculation
the volturi would come looking for her, and find that she was not a vampire, so they would steal her. now, Bella’s mind had that glitch remember, and she had a way of suppressing bad memories, so a fight would break out amongst the Cullen family, and the volturi, and Esme and some of the minor wolf pack would be killed, but Bella takes it so hard, she tries to forget when the volturi take her. she forgets all of her human life, and is now a volturi member and they have already found out about the shield. so when ( all of the vampires that came to the Cullen house in breaking dawn to witness and the remaining wolves) come into volterra to save Bella, she is now thoroughly confused. zafrina teaches her how to pull back her shield and Edward reads her mind and they help her remember
pretty freaky huh??!

sorry guys…if you have read any of my earlier posts, then you would know that i just cant get over breaking dawn… and now, being at the same place that i was a the week breaking dawn came out, im getting all swept up in the de-ja-vu of last year; listening to the breaking dawn podcast like, mystery story, who will die, a midsummer-nights dream etc.
I i told myself that i would never be mad at the twilight series, cause that’s just how dedicated i am. but, it just wasn’t the same for me, and yes, im still upset.
II i had an epiphany a couple days ago, and i realized why it was different.
Bella wasn’t the ultimate sacrifice anymore, it was renesmee. if you would be so inclined to join me in this review.
twilight; James is after Bella
new moon; Laurent and the volturi are after Bella.
eclipse’ Victoria is after Bella.
breaking dawn; yes yes, i understand that for at least half of the book, the volturi are still concerned with her mortality, but its not as pressuring as it was in the past books. perhaps it was because no one thought she going to need to be worried about the volturi because she would be dying because of the baby anyway. but in the end, everything works out a little too nicely, she gets turned anyway, and even has her baby.

so now, all of the nomads are gone, and she is safe from the volturi. no one is after her

and when bella changes, she is confident, grown up, and independent. now im not saying she wans’t like that before, because she was, she was just more of an independent damsel in distress that wont admit it that falls for her perfect prince while pretending she is strong but letting her weak side show through.
that is my conclusions and i hope i warm up to it more!
p.s. if you read this on your show, Kassie i love your supporters speculations singing voice! HAHA (:D

I’m addicted to your podcast - keep it up! I’m curious what y’all think about the fact that Rob Pattinson’s role in New Moon is being done primarily on green screen and by himself. Do you think this will kill the on-screen chemistry between him and Kristen? I personally enjoyed their interaction in the first film and will be interested to see how New Moon measures up in that department. However, since Bella is really just having hallucinations of Edward, I suppose a less passionate chemistry between them might also make sense. What do you think?

How come I’m seeing all of this news on Stephenie Meyer being sued for plagiarism?
I’ve seen on many news sites that she’s been accused by the lawyer of an author that goes by the name of Jordan Scott.
Apparently, Jordan Scott wrote a novel in 2006 called “The Nocturne”. When I read the title of that book, it sounded familiar which makes me think that maybe this is somewhat old news to some people. I don’t remember if I heard you talking about it on one of your podcasts or not (when you were comparing “Twilight” to “Tru Blood”).
ANYWAYS, when I read this I was saddened because Stephenie Meyer is such a sensational author and for her to be accused of something such as this, is just ridiculous to me.
It said that the “sex scenes” in “Breaking Dawn” and “The Nocturne” are similar. They even compared the sentences:
The Nocturne:
“There was silence. It could have been no more perfect.”
Breaking Dawn:
“The moment was so perfect, there was no way to doubt it.”

Just wondering what everybodys thoughts were on this plagiarism charge against Stephenia and her book Breaking Dawn. ok In the film Twilight we see Edward back in the past with Carlisle biting him but then you see him with Esme biting her in the same hospital but later on in the books we find out that when he changes Esme when she jumped off the cliff her injures were so bad she wasn’t taken to a hospital and thats where Carlisle found her.

I would love to see you guys do an episode on the Anatomy of Twilight. Go into the DNA of a shapeshifter, renesmee, and vampire. Theories on why does renesmee and jacob have the same number of chromosomes? where did that come from since neither Edward or Bella do? Why does tearing and burning only kill vampires? not just burning? Why did Bella have such an easy time as a newborn physically? Was it due to the fact that she ingested so buch blood while being pregnant with renesmee or just by having renesmee helped her. I’m sure there are tons more topics to cover under Anatomy. Keep up the great work.

Anyhoo, just wanted to say i loved listening to you both and wanted to bring something up about the volturi from an old podcast of yours…
I love the look of the Volturi in general. Loved when the pictures were realsed… but i it just me, or does Aro look like a Pimp!?!?!?! He was nothing like i pictured him in my mind. I think Michael Sheen is a fabulous choice, his acting ability is fantastic… but the overall costuming and design of his appearance looks so dodgey! It’s my understanding that all vampires are quite beautiful and intriguing to entice you in, ready for the kill. Ii just feel that Aro, and Marcus i might add, look weird and offputting. I think Jaime Campbell Bower is perfect. He looks beautiful but evil… Aro and Marcus look weird and evil… hmmm. What are your thoughts??
