If you’ve seen the show Joan of Arcadia, Michael Welch may look familiar to you. And if it wasn’t Joan of Arcadia that you recognize him from, than it must be from one of the other 25 other television show roles he has had since his career started at age 10. Or maybe it was from one of the 15 movie roles he has had. With his blonde hair, blue eyes, and his witty personality it is no wonder that Michael Welch has had so much work in the film and television industry.
He won even more fans this year, when he took the role of Mike Newton in the film Twilight. Through his MySpace blog he kept his 3700+ “friends” updated, whether it was about his road trip from LA to Portland (including his traffic ticket) or his gratefulness for the hundreds of pairs of socks that he got from adoring fans. Michael Welch was even the clever guy he coined the first Twilight fandom nickname, Twi-Hards.
