This is really cool! For some reason, Closer - Ne-yo always reminded me of Edward and Bella. I think it was playing a lot while I was reading the books so now it just reminds me of them.

For A Pessimist I’m Pretty Optimistic by Paramore. It kind of reminds me of that scene in Bella’s room in New Moon when they get back from Italy, and Bella is convinced that he is going to leave her again.
Bring Me To Life by Evanescene. I know a lot Evanescene songs remind people of Twilight, but this one is pretty good. It reminds me of Bella and Jacob in New Moon, and how he is helping her come out of her zombie state.
Pressure by Paramore. It reminds me of Eclipse when Bella feels pressured to become a vampire, and when Edward is fighting Victoria, and she feels like she could help if she stuck the rock in her arm.
I have a lot more songs that remind me in some way of the series, but I can’t think of them at the moment.
everyone keeps using “River Flows in You” as Bella’s lullaby in youtube videos. It is very sweet and pretty; if rob doesnt do it rite, then THIS song will play in my head instead.
I always play 50s music in my head when i read bout la push (pre wolf la push)
after werewolves come bout, then hear “So What Does It All Mean?” by west gould and fitzgerald for when Jacob first becomes a werewolf and is trying to get Bella to remember the stories and she swoons cuz she’s so tired.

Jessica’s response (and in fact, most of the female population of Forks) to the Cullen men. I especially hear this at the beginning of Twilight in the cafeteria when Jessica is telling Bella about the Cullens.
i think the song “Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional is symbolic of the feelings between Bella and Edward… its really quiet, soft, beautiful and sweet. I don’t know.. I think it fits :]
“you have stolen my heart” … ironic for Edward, but still true in the less-literal meaning.
Also it says “Watch you spin around
In your highest heels

We all look like we feel.”
…. This fits in with the prom scene from Twilight.

….symbolic of the many nights Bella and Edward spent together…etc, etc.

It is SOOOOOOOOOOO easy to find music that fits with the Twilight series; it just has so much to it, a large variety of music just seems to fit. Here’s a list of some of my favorites with some lyric excerpts

Twilight
>”You Found Me” by Kelly Clarkson–Pretty much just about how Bella and Edward fell in love. “I guess that you saw what nobody could see / The good and the bad / And the things in between”
>”The Walk” by Imogen Heap–This requires some explanation. Basically, it’s from Edward’s POV, and it’s about the pre/early relationship of him and Bella. “I think you better leave; it’s not safe in here, / I feel a weakness coming on”
>”Open Your Eyes” by Snow Patrol–Edward rescues Bella from James. “Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine / And we’ll walk from this dark room for the last time”
>”Hero/Heroine” by Boys Like Girls–Yes, it’s a shamelss pun on Edward’s “brand of heroin” line, but it works for his and Bella’s relationship. “I feel like a hero and you are my heroine / Do you know that your love is the sweetest sin?”
New Moon (there are just too many songs that deal with separation)
>”Whatever it Takes” by Lifehouse–Edward decides at the end of New Moon that he’ll do anything to keep Bella happy. “A strangled smile fell from your face / What kills me that I hurt you this way / The worst part is that I didn’t even know”
>”End” by Secondhand Serenade–This could either work for when Edward leaves Bella or during Bella’s cliff diving incident. “I’m suffering / (Don’t let me drown) / How did I die / (Don’t let me down)”
>”Memories” by Within Temptation–Edward leaves Bella. Simple as that. “In this world you tried, / Leaving me alone behind. / There’s no other way, / I pray to the gods let him stay.”
>”It’s Been Awhile” by Staind–A bit of a dark one, but I think it fits for Edward after he returns to Bella. Basically, it’s his reflections upon the mistakes he’s made. “The consequences that I’ve rendered / I’ve stretched myself beyond my means”
Eclipse
>”My World” by SR-71–I don’t like Jacob, but I think this song fits for what he thinks of Edward and Bella together. “You make me high! You make me real! / You make me cry! Now you know the way I feel”
>”Blind” by Lifehouse–Again, I’m no fan of Jacob, but this song REALLY fits for him during the epilogue. “That I loved you more than you’ll ever know / A part of me died when I let you go”
>”It’s Good to be in Love” by Frou Frou–Whenever I hear this song, I ALWAYS think of our famous love triangle. Only, I think of the song as an ironic take on this love between Edward, Bella, and Jacob: It’s NOT good for Bella to be in love with both of them. Basically, this actually highlights Bella’s forced decision between the two. “I feel so powerless / I’ve got to stop it somehow / Oh come on what can I do?”
Oh, how could I forget to make some Breaking Dawn predictions? Well, here’s a few:
>”Into the Night” by Chad Kroeger–Bella becomes a vampire. “Dancing into the night” is simply a metaphor for this. “We forgot where we were and we lost track of time, / And we sang to the wind as we danced through the night”
>”Collide” by Howie Day–Okay, so I don’t think this is so much as a prediction, but IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN (at least I’m pretty sure it will). Basically, it’s Edward and Bella on their *ahem* honeymoon (and no, it’s not a dirty song). “The dawn is breaking / A light shining through / You’re barely waking / And I’m tangled up in you”
>”Keep Holding On” by Avril Lavigne–This is NOT a popular prediction, but I do think one of the Cullens will die in Breaking Dawn. As much as I hate to think it, I think that Alice will die protecting Bella. I think this song goes along with this idea (from Alice’s POV). “When it gets cold / and it feels like the end, / there’s no place to go, you know I won’t give in”
>”Sunlight” by Natalie Imbruglia–Though I personally hope this DOESN’T happen, there’s always a possibility that Edward decides not to change Bella. I think this song illustrates some of the reasons why Edward wouldn’t want to change her. “Did you ever feel / Sunlight on your face? / Did you ever taste clouds? / Did you ever touch space? / Did you ever feel / Sunlight on your face? / Did you ever truly live?”
I can’t believe no one has mentioned “You Are The Moon” by The Hush Sound. It has such a lovely haunting melody, that’s very lullaby-like. Plus, the lyrics capture Bella and Edward’s insecurity:

Im not sure why, but this song just sort of came into my mind when I thought of Twilight. “Just Friends” by The Jonas Brothers.
The song could be either in Bella’s POV or Edward’s. It basically talks about how in the beginning they are just friends. And then, they start dreaming up plans of being together. And finally it talks about how they fall in love and getting married and vows. I think it fits pretty well because they are getting married(we think) in Breaking Dawn.
A great song for Twilight is:

It works for both Edward and Bella (from Edward’s POV) but also for Bella and Jacob (from Bella’s POV). It’s about a person who is really in love with someone - so much that it hurts - but the person doesn’t want to be in love.

I think that Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne can fit for either New Moon, Jacob helping Bella through her tough times, or Breaking Dawn, at the end of Jacob’s book when… yeah, just in case someone hasn’t read it. It’s like keep holding on because there’s something to live for after that.

“WHERE I STOOD” form Missy Higgins fits greatly with New Moon, you should include this song in the playlist
But all i want is you (to shiver in my arms)- by The Girls
they are a dutch band and i thought this song fits so well with bella/edward. Simply because he makes Bella shiver in his arms, as well as some of the other lyrics in the song. I would say this song is applicable to all of the books, now thinking about it, definitely New Moon.
