In the first book, Sam makes a brief appearance, though we know he plays a greater role in the next two novels. Is the movie similar with regards to time on-screen for Sam, and if so, how much foreshadowing is there of his importance in the future?
(I’m only asking because in the books, I hadn’t paid much attention to Sam’s brief appearance.
When prepairing for your role as Sam in the Twilight movie did you look into any of the La Push reservation legends and traditions to help you with the role?
I’m native, so I’m wondering how you feel about the movie being true to the native side of things? Although, this is only the first book and New Moon will have more of that side of it. But what is your take on that?
Because I’m mainly plains NDN (Kiowa, Oglala, Zuni) from Oklahoma, I was wondering what tribe(s) you are and are you a northwestern tribe? What personal aspects do you bring to your role as Sam?

5) We learned that you got the role on accident when your brother went in to audition, but I don’t think we ever found out if he made it or not. What role did he get, if he got one?

Will you have to cut your hair for new moon? Even though it is what happens in the book I think it would be okay if they let you keep your long hair. 🙂

Sam and the rest of the pack are the “protectors” of the tribe, and i would even venture to think that they are major role models for their community. who, while growing up and even now would you consider your inspirations, or your guiding force?
