Paper Towns-

Quentin and Margo have been next door neighbors for years.  As young children they were very close, but grew apart as they got older.  Margo became distant and both her and Quentin became interested in different things.  So, when Margo appeared at Quentin’s bedroom window in the dead of night, dressed entirely in black, he was confused and curious.

What Margo had planned was an elaborate scheme of revenge and after the most exciting night of his life, Quentin feels his connection to Margo grow a little stronger.  That is, until she disappears.  But, Margo’s disappearance leads Quentin on the second most exciting adventure of his life.

Clay Jensen is shocked to find a box of 13 audio tapes in a package addressed to him on his doorstep one afternoon. The note says that the tapes are to go to 13 people and if someone fails to send them on to the next person on the list then another copy of the tapes will be released publicly. As Clay begins to listen to them he learns that they are spoken by Hannah Baker, a fellow high school student who recently committed suicide. Each tape discusses one of the reasons that led to her suicide and which people were involved. As Clay anxiously awaits to find out how he played a part in her suicide he can’t help but notice how terrible high school can be and how a bunch of little, seemingly insignificant, incidents can add up to a terrible high school existence for someone else.

I’ve recently read The Time Travelers Wife by Niffeneger. It’s a really good novel, but kind of lenghty. The title explains it all, it’s about the wife of a time traveler and how both she and the time traveler cope with his constant reapearing and dissapearing.

I agree that the Time Traveller’s wife is a great book, kinda hard to get into but so sweet and romantic and quite sad. i’m really enjoying the Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman, she’s a british writer and popular over here with a similiar fan base as Miss Meyer!

  3. Kate says:

I am reading paper towns now! It is awesome!

  4. Tiffany says:

Paper Towns is definitely an amazing book. I give it a 5/5 and I don’t usually give that rating to just any book!
From that description you gave of that book, The Time Travelers Wife, it sounds kind of like that series Journeyman that they cancelled last year. I loved that show and was really sad when they cancelled it. Will have to look into that book!

  5. Sasha says:

    love thirteen reasons why….

    its so sad though…

  6. CullenCrazy17 says:

hm…i might have to check those out!

  7. Jaclynmarie15 says:

THe Guardians of Time Trilogy (The Named, The Dark, and The Key) by Marianne Curley is a really good series. It’s a modern fantasy about a group, The Guardians of Time, who go back in time to keep history, and ultimately the future, from being changed by the Order of Chaos. It’s really interesting, and the author does really well at capturing the cultures of different time periods.

  8. Heather D says:

Paper Towns by John Green is awesome! And John and his brother Hank are two of the funniest guys ever. They are on youtube. Youtube-vlogbrothers… I really really enjoyed this book and just bought Johns other two books as well.

  9. Gloria says:

I just finished Thirteen Reasons Why recently and it was so good. I really want to read Paper Towns soon too.
