72 Comments to “New Moon DVD”

  1. Lina says:

Ugh! I want that memory box! Lucky UK!

  2. Jess S. says:

if you are in the states can u buy the uk version?

  3. Roxanna says:

yes you can pre-order the box in the uk.. it costs $113 us. The question I have though is why is the pre-order not available on the US site for amazon…. ugh!!! 2 more months

  4. Roxanna says:

Oh does anybody know if target will have a 3-disc edition like they did with Twilight?

  5. Lila Mary Stacy Maher says:

I am so confused…can you pre-order or no????
and why do they all have different version and the uk have so much more than us????
I just don’t get it…but I’m SUPER DUPER excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woo hoo only 2 more months!

  6. Team Jacob All the Way says:

can i get the memory box set
    in calgary alberta canada?

  7. @love_music61 says:

And why is there no deleted scenes not listed for the US? And I hope they do have a 3-disc special edition @ target

  8. Ray says:

why do the us versions get the ugliest covers??? 🙁 Still excited though! 😀

  9. Sacha says:

i soo want that memory box

  10. Courtney says:

I hope Target is selling a three disc like for Twilight. But I also wish I was able to get the memory box like in the UK.
    Only 9 more weeks.

  11. Spinach says:

Wow, that’s a shock, the UK has more for once, and there’s really no need to complain about it when you look at all the stuff that the USA has in comparison, especially when the Twilight DVD came out and there were about twenty US versions and two UK (Special edition and non-special edition). Though no doubt the American ones will start coming out in different versions soon… and um… I can add another one to the UK list – play.com has an edition with a keyring.

  12. Spinach says:

Uh, okay, ignore my addition, just saw it was already on the list.

  13. switzerland =D says:

    tha japanse one looks…..different……
    I want the UK one!!!

  14. […] out all of the special editions we have so far HERE on our DVD […]

  15. brian says:

if you’re in US or canada, think twice before ordering a UK version, since their dvd’s wont play on north american dvd players // US &canada = region 1 dvd’s // UK = region 2 dvd’s

  16. Erin (Team Jake/Emmett) says:

I’m Australian and I can’t believe how long we have to wait for the DVD (we got it so early last year!) so I just pre-ordered the 2 disc special edition (with the pretty New Moon cover without the bad cover of the actors) from Borders! Soooo excited to get it. 😀
Oh, I also got the book ‘Shiver’ thanks to your show! I heard your review of it and I was intrigued (same with The Hunger Games which I bought today and plan to start reading after I finish ‘The Lovely Bones’. Thanks so much for all your awesome book suggestions/reviews! <3

  17. Miss Dazzled says:

Honestly, I think the Japanese version looks pretty tempting ^_~ However, it looks like that the US versions won’t have any deleted scenes (after all, when Twilight came out those scenes were included). Has anyone heard anything different?

  18. Mrs. Sparkly Vamp says:

Is Borders going to include the sparkly pictures on New Moon, like in their Twilight Special Edition? The Japenesse seem to have it. Freaking Asians, they have it all!!!

  19. […] go and write up a DVD comparison shopping guide, but our friends over at Twilight Series Theories went and did one. No point in reinventing the wheel here. So check out their write-up and while you are at it, check […]

  20. Nicole says:

My dilemma was whether to get the Wal-Mart version with the Eclipse preview or any of the other ones with more special features and better looking packaging. My friend reminded me that in a few months the preview won’t matter because I’ll be seeing Eclipse while the other DVDs will still be prettier.

  21. Mrs. Sparkly Vamp says:

That’s true Nicole. Besides someone that buys the Walmart Version, will find a way to post the Eclipse preview online for us to watch and who knows by then we might even have a trailer. I ordered the Borders, to go with my Twilight version. Love it!!

  22. Freakin Loon says:

Thanks so much for all the hard work in breaking this down for us!

Has research in any of the DVD releases revealed that any of the DVDs will include a digital download like Target did with the Twilight 3 disc release? Or did Summit realize they were giving away TOO much?

  23. Ashleigh says:

Australia’s JB Hifi has a few offers

    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/support.aspx?post=1&results=10&q=NEW+MOON+TWILIGHT&source=title

You can either order a Edward shirt or a Jacob shirt

  24. Ashleigh says:

Australia – Sanity also does have their stuff up just not on the front page yet.

    http://www.sanity.com.au/products/2139158/Twilight_Saga_New_Moon_2DVD_Special_Edition

  25. Tiffany says:

Best Buy will also be carrying the Blu-Ray version that you can pre-order in the steel case as well.

  26. oh my goodness says:

Hoping the 3-disc Target version is similar to the Swedish one! That’d be awesome.

  27. 08ertwilighter says:

what’s with the SD card in the japanese version? is there special material on it or something? and why hasn’t hot topic mentioned what they’re selling? i bought the 2-disc at hot topic last year with the film cell. thanks to the film cell, it looks like i’ll be buying it at TARGET…

  28. Carolyn says:

I don’t see the Ultimate Fan edition yet at walmart.com. Does anyone else?

  29. jerrie says:

@ Carolyn, the link is suppose to go live on Walmart’s site tomorrow…

  30. Alfonso says:

I think Target has the best deal. I do like how Walmart and Best Buy have the standard DVD. I normally don’t go nuts with DVDs and by the special editions or anything, just buy the movie on one disc and thats it. But for Twilight Saga, I go all out! I like the 3 disc version Target had for Twilight last year so I will be getting New Moon at Target this year.

  31. pambh says:

Can someone please break it down a little further as to exactly which ones will be available in Canada?
HMV had the only 3 disc Twilight dvd last year but I can’t find it listed anywhere.
    Thanks.

  32. Krystal says:

Thanks for the info, Ashleigh! I added it to the page 🙂

  33. […] friends over at Twilight Series Theories has done the hard work for us and compiled all the details of each DVD in one easy to read post […]

  34. Chela85 says:

I think I want the Target one. Wait do the American DVDs NOT have deleted scenes????? I will not be happy lol….

  35. angel says:

oh yeah! really wanna buy and going to(i think) buy it all!LOL!

  36. Ashleigh says:

    You’re welcome Krystal 🙂

  37. jjjones says:

The Swedish version looks most appealing to me as it seems to have the most bonus footage. It quotes 128 minutes of added footage. When you total up the break out it comes to 213.91 minutes. I don’t care so much about the merchandise, give me footage of the movie and behind the scenes with my favs like Jacob and the Wolf Pack. Any extra footage showing Jacob is I’m hoping for. And what do they mean by “Fast Forward”? They list that as 30 minutes of Jacob, I’ll take that.

  38. Shelfan says:

Are you absolutely sure the Borders version has the commentary, the 6-part documentary, the rehearsal footage, and the music videos?? I checked the Borders website and it didn’t say anything about those things. They only mentioned the extended scenes, cast interviews, red carpet footage, and webcast.

  39. Sandee says:

I want ’em all!! I pre-ordered the Borders version with the necklace in hopes that the Eclipse clips will post somewhere soon after!! It was a tough decision but the necklace won!!

  40. rebecca says:

Hi, I’m just wondering one thing. I’m from sweden and I’m so gonna buy the three disc-version. But my quesion is if the 7 excusive minutes of eclipse is gonna be on that three disc-version too?

  41. Jen says:

Another version for Canada – HMV is giving away a film cell if you pre-order in stores. As far as I can tell it is the Amazon version of the dric. http://www.hmv.ca/Search.aspx?keyword=new+moon+filmcell&filter=all+products

  42. […] friends at Twilight Series Theories have put together a New Moon DVD shopping guide talking about what you get in each version! Check […]

  43. Emily D says:

I think it’s really funny that you guys are all wishing you could have the UK versions. I’m sitting here in England wishing I lived in the US so I could get the Borders or Wal-mart version!

  44. pambh says:

Is there anywhere in Canada I can get the 3-disc version? I can’t even pre-order anything from the US they don’t ship it to Can.

  45. Jennifer says:

Borders will ship it to Canada according to their shipping rates. I don’t no about Target, but have an email sent to ask them

  46. […] Twilight Series Theories New Moon DVD Shopping Guide […]

  47. Handz says:

    I am going with target

  48. Sharbear says:

Yes target has a 3 disc edition of New Moon I just pre-ordered mine!

  49. AAB28 says:

Uhhh Hellooo? I thought they said they weren’t going to do all this different version crap this time! Great. And now there’s more choices to pick from. lol.
    What ever shall I do?

  50. B says:

I want to see the Eclipse footage from the Walmart edition but if it doesn’t have any commentary, deleted scenes or the documentary then it is just not worth it to me. I’m think I am going with the Target edition. In a perfect world I would buy both versions but I can’t shell out the money to money-hungry Summitt just to see the Eclipse footage when it will probally be on the internet the next day anyways.
