But since rereading the books, and realising how much I actually dislike Jacob in Eclipse, and alot of New Moon, I think I’m actually gravitating towards Team Edward :O

To the end Team EDWARD!!!!!!!!!!! I still like Jacob but I think edward and bella have a greater love between them but my mom (who has never read the books!) thinks that Bella is going to pick Jacob because its always the one who gets under your skin. I’m still rooting for Edward.
TEAM EDWARD most definately. but seriously, why is this debate going on? Bella’s kind of already made her choice and its so obvious her and Edward are made for each other. Jacob may be in love with Bella too, but most normal people fall in love more than once in their life and are often happier that they didn’t choose the first person they fell in love with.
then again, Bella’s no ‘normal people’ so keep debating if you wish

Jacob is funny, sarcastic, funny, nice, adorible, grows out his hair super long just because he knows bella likes it more that way, and just plain better
and youd think that edward would put up a fight for bella, but nope. he just said that hed let her do whatever she wants to do. to pick him or jacob. it may be that hes “being the better person” but i dont think thats the case.

it’s hard to decide. i keep going back and forth. they both have very endearing qualities. and i can’t tell if in the end she will wind up with edward, or do the more human think and wind up with jacob…perhaps she’ll be turned into a vampire and then end up with jacob the werewolf. who knows. can’t wait for the new book though.

Obviously part of the theme in these books is ledgends being true and stuff (including the imprinting)…so my point is that Jacob DIDD’NT imprint on Bella. How Unfair would it be if Bella left edward and then Jake ended up leaving her when he saw some other girl. I mean c’mon, Stephinie Meyer (i hope) wouldnt do that, its just (grr) sickining lol.

I’m getting so sick of all you team edward people bashing all of us team jacob fans. We all know at Bella chooses Edward. So stop freaking out at us for loving Jacob.
We understand that the choice has been made, we’re not retarded. We just know we would choose differently despite some of the problems that may arise from that choice. We see where you are coming from, so try to see where we are coming from. You know, I wasn’t always a team Jacob. I wasn’t. I was team edward. but when he gave bella the bracelet and said, “Well, I figured that maybe it would make you remember me once in a while. You know how it is, out of sight, out of mind.” When I read that, I felt so bad for him. Because at that point, despite him having told her how much he loves her, he know he wouldn’t win the fight. He knew!!! He knew all along that no matter what he did, he would never win her over. Jacob fans are sad about that fact but, come on, give us a break. We’re allowed to pick and choose characters to feel for. I feel bad for Jacob because no one should have to feel the pain of a broken heart.
I know ALL of us were shocked at the Jacob/Bella kiss. But that was another reason I choose Jake over Edward. Bella saw her life if she were to pick Jacob. She would grow old with him and have children; and she wanted that so much. She even admitted it when she said;
“The worst part is that I saw the whole thing- our whole life. And I want it bad, Jake, I want it all. I want to stay right here and never move.I want to love you and make you happy.And I can’t, and its killing me.Its like Sam and Emily, Jake- I never had a choice. I always kn.ew nothing would change. Maybe that’s why I was fighting against you so hard.”
Through that, Jacob fans know that they won’t win. But some part in Bella still longs for Jake. If you’ve read the first chapter of breaking dawn that came in the SE eclipse, you know what I’m talking about….Us Jacob fans just what what’s best. We want Bella to be happy. And if that means being with Edward, that’s fine. But Jacob is still in her heart. No matter what…

I want her to write an alternate ending because I agree with shelby, its highly doubtful Bella will go back to Jacob (even though he is 8768654 times better for her)
Bella and Edward just feel wrong - its obssession not love on bellas part - honestly i think it makes her seem pathetic - because if she would quit being a drama queen for 2 seconds she would realize that yes … it IS physically possible to continue living without edward. she was already starting to recover the last time and then he just HAD to come back and ruin everything, ugh.
also, i think the reason we havent really seen a personality from edward is because he and bella have very little in common - hes almost 100! say what you want about staying young forever but ive never met a 90 something year old that i honestly can relate to
Jacob is her age, they grew up in the same generation and they fit together perfectly and naturally
Bella and Edward spend more time fighting each other and the sircumstances surrounding thier relationship then they do actually having one!
besides, on a cold night, who would honestly rather cuddle up to an ice cube than a space heater???
Oh! and i think the reason Bella is so obssessed has to do with the way vampires are attractive to their prey (humans!)
Edward is genetically engeneered to appeal to her on some strange level - thats not love

I have definately gone back and forth on this issue. And yes I know that (as of now) Bella has chosen Edward. I still think that I would have to go with Jacob.
Stephenie has even confirmed that the wedding takes place in Breaking Dawn… so Team Edward, you have made your point very clear. I still think that Jacob is the healthier life choice overall.
Jacob is fun-loving, has a cute boyish charm, would never dream of leaving her (even if that was for her own protection), is still good looking, and would allow her to remain human. I would definately call that a perk.
No matter what all you Tean Edward fans say, I think that Breaking Dawn is going to the dogs!!!!!! GO TEAM JACOB!

I understand the Team Edwards. I was a Team Edward before I was aware that there were teams. But then, that was before I read New Moon.
Okay, who doesn’t love a vampire? Really, when I think of who I like better: Vampires or Werewolves? I usually think about how I would rather die. But this isn’t the case. It’s about love.
I associate vampires with bats. Childish, eh? But what would you rather snuggling up to you? A vampire bat? Or a furry horse-like wolf. Hah. Bat? Or dog? Vampires want blood. Dogs want company. I don’t trust Edward to sucessfully turn Bella to a vampire. As he said before “I have human instincts, they are just buried” (something along those lines). Saying this, it is obvious his vampire instincts are stronger than his human ones. The only reason he hasn’t killed her yet is because he is constantly in check with himself. But with Jacob, his human intincts are much more distinct. He’s 16. And he hasn’t been a werewolf for that long. He is half-human also. He has much better control. He won’t kill Bella if they do it. Lol, unless she insults him. pfft. *ahem* He has much more personality than Edward. The only trait about Edward that could count as personality is that he acts like a sadist. Also, he calls himself a masochist. To me, he is swiss cheese.
Maybe love is supposed to be subtle at first. Nothing like an obsession. Jacob is sweet and charming. He’s lovable, and silly. And he is protective, of course not to the extent of Edward. Because who could beat that obsessed vampire with safety concerns? Jacob is much better for Bella than Edward is. Bella feels extreme lust for Edward. I know that she told Edward that love and lust are in the same company for her. But I don’t feel that that is the case. She doesn’t act like she really has a mental attachment to Edward at all. Edward is like her safety blanket. But with Jacob, she could grow. They could grow together. But still she insists on staying a teenager and having her life a complete safety blanket. She’s just afraid of growing. Mentally and phisically. She’s afraid of the fact that with Jacob it could all come to an end some day. With Edward there is an instant a-ok for her never having to die and be with someone forever. Because we have seen that she doesn’t do well with seperation.
And, Team Jacob still has a chance. So what if Bella and Edward marry? Ever heard of a little thing called divorce? It happens. So I don’t plan on dashing my hopes just because of some cerimony that temporary binds a couple who are in love for now. It’s silly.

I just started to read the twilight series and well, i haven’t even read eclipse, I’m buying it today. but last night I finnished new moon. I really like jacob. i know that bella and edward are getting married, but i really like jacob. He just seems more fun then edward. i really believe that its more of an obsession then love with edward. bella says how jacob is her best friend, and how nice he is, how he ccomforts her. and how she owes him so much. but i know it was really hard for bella without edward. but she was doing alright. i feel like after time she would have given jacob a chance and maybe something would have happend.

This is such a classic debate. Bella has a superficial love with Edward. She thinks he’s beautiful and mysterious. Their relationship has no depth. There are moments where it seems that Edward doesn’t even know Bella. I get tickled at some of the descriptions that are used to describe Edward (he sparkles.) Edward represents “first” love. Any woman who has lost and loved understands how strong “first” love can be. It’s EXACTLY how Bella felt. The shallow relationship between Edward and Bella could not even survive a human life, much less an eternal one. They are both so involved with one another they neglected EVERYTHING else in their lives. This isn’t healthy.
Jacob is Bella’s true love. They have something stronger than attraction. They can read each other and make each other stronger. GO TEAM JACOB!

You know, the only way to truely describe Jacob is like the sex you carelessly have with your best friend when your boyfriend leaves you. He was there for her when Bella needed a heart to attach herself to, but the love there is… moderate and overcomable at best. I won’t be stupid; I won’t deny their bond, but… it holds nothing on the magnetic pull that Edward has on her. Even when they WERE together, she put herself at risk up to the end purely to hear Edward’s voice. Even with him there, Jacob was a makeshift patch. She still felt the holes undernear, and you people know this. She CLEARLY explains it an overcopious amount of times. I’ll admit, Jacob stopped the bleeding, but he couldn’t mend under her skin. Even in the heat of the moment, she fled Jacob in an instant if it ment to get her Edward back. Jacob is a pig-headed, callous wolf, even if he can have his moments that say, “love me”. Edward just wants what’s best for her, gives her her freedom, asks little and doesn’t claim a lot. Could he fight, it’d be nice, but he knows he can’t win a battle that he can’t touch.
Edward knows what he’s doing, but Jacob effing assults Bella for her attention… As said, Jacob is just the “post-relationship angst”. Now that the fight is over, he’s a part of her, sure… But not the part she’s destined to stick with.

Theres no way she wouldn’t pick Edward! He’s so caring and amazing and he’d do anything for Bella! Jacob is more fitting as her best friend rather than her boyfriend. Edward is her soul mate and she can’t live without him. I hate it when Jacob tries to get in the way of Edward and Bella’s relationship. I wish sometimes that Edward wouldn’t be so calm and would fight for Bella, but he never will because it could hurt her if he hurt Jacob. Which shows that Edward cares about Bella way more than Jacob does. Jacob didn’t even imprint on her- thank god! I liked it better before Jacob was a wolf and only wanted to be her friend, which is the way things should be. Jacobs not her true love. He was just there as a friend to heal her broken heart after Edward had to leave her in New Moon, which was for her own good he thought. Jacob could never heal the broken emptiness Bella felt after Edward left. Even when he was gone when she was with Jacob she was just using him to make her feel happier without her true love. She did the reckless things like riding a motorcycle just so she could hear Edward’s voice, and the only way she could have that was to spend time with Jacob an do stupid things. Jacob will never be enough for her. Her life would be miserable without Edward, and she loves him much more than she does Jacob. I would rather see Bella with Mike than with Jacob! You can plainly see that she’s happiest with Edward. Jacob is awful and he’s always manipulating Bella to kiss him and then she just end’s up getting hurt. Edward would never try to hurt her and is always protecting her and being incredibly selfless. TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!

I understand that Bella choose Edward and they were meant for each other but I still love Jake! Its probably his cute personality combined with that warm affection of a cute puppy dog. Jake can go hay wire sometimes but still he is a lot more realistic than Edward. Don’t get me wrong Edward is great and everything but Jake is more of your every day boys. Plus I get cold a lot and need a space heater. That’s why I love Jake over Edward!!!

Bells is a crabby bitch alot of the time. she doesnt deserve either of them. first of all she makes everything so hard and shes aways complaining and yelling at Edward. he should have left her long ago. and as for jake, hes the only one who gets her inside and out. hes hopelessly in love with her but she wants to be part of edwards family more. its a family i think she wants more than anything and thats what draws her to the Cullens. edward uses what hes got to get what he wants and jake just is 100% real with bella all the time. i want a guy like that.

i liked Edward better in New Moon too. i mean, Jacob was awesome until in turned into a werewolf and became a jerk.
but by Eclipse, i was SO BORED with Edward. he is the same thing over and over and over. he has really NO PERSONALITY! I wanted Bella to get with Jacob. But i knew she wouldn’t.
i keep thinking of that part in Eclipse— “He’s like a drug for you, Bella.” Jacob said. “I see that you can’t live without him now. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun.”
which is SO TRUE!!!

First of all, I think this is completely hilarious how we all get so into nonliving characters!!!

I hated Edward from the beginning. He only paid any attention to Bella because of her smell. That’s a great basis for a relationship, don’t you think? Their relationship isn’t real–it’s more of an obsession. It has no depth. They fight with each other about their relationship and the circumstances surrounding it than actually having one! Edward doesn’t even seem to know Bella at all! And then Edward never does or says anything different or unexpected. He has no personality. He has no faults. Bella always felt that he was so superior to her. A relationship shouldn’t be like that–it should be mutual, you should feel equal! I agree with Kerli on the Jacob quote. “He’s like a drug for you, Bella.” Jacob said. “I see that you can’t live without him now. But I would have been healthier for you. Not a drug; I would have been the air, the sun.” That is so right!! Another thing that someone mentioned above, Edward never once made Bella laugh. Not once. A recent poll showed that the ability to laugh together is the number one reason to choose a partner. Hello? Edward or Jacob? PLUS, Edward STALKS Bella. He lets her have no friends, no social life, not even see her best friend. He never lets her take chances, explore who she is. It’s ridiculous. And then he just up and abandons her. Don’t tell me that he thought it was for her own good, I know he did. But seriously, if you are that in love with someone you are not going to be able to just up and leave, especially when you KNOW it has to hurt her in some way!! Jacob would never DREAM of hurting Bella like that!! Jacob is hilarious, has so much personality, and truly loves Bella, not in the obsessive-i-have-to-know-where-you-are-every-second-of-the-freaking-day way. He let’s her take risks and do crazy things, but he’s always there to protect and save her if she needs it. Heck, he abandoned his own wolf pack for her! And yet he still knew from the beginning, and it especially showed when he gave her the bracelet, that he was going to lose. But he still tried! My favorite line from the whole series was when Jacob said (paraphrasing) “As long as your heart keeps beating, I’ll be here, fighting for you.”
Be honest…would you guys read the series if Jacob wasn’t there? No. It would be a boring and totally predictable story that no one would read.
Actually, I don’t think Bella deserves EITHER of them! She’s a crabby, self-centered, idiotic, unrealistic drama queen.
Having said ALL of that, I know how the series ends, I know what happens, but this is just my opinion on the subject!!
But the main important thing is WE ALL LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!

Okay, I am a total TEAM EDWARD fan. I had no idea that there were so many Team Jacob peeps, but if you’re happy with a dog who doesn’t respect bella, then more power to ya. He tricked her into kissing him in eclipse, and that just sunk his ship in my book. I like him, as Bella’s friend, and MAYBE as a person, but not as a match for bella. He was WAY more cool in twilight, when he was only around for like, ten pages. And in the first half of New Moon, before he was a wolf and became an ass. I just think he’s really selfish, and was always interfering with bella and edward’s relationship, making it awkward. He should just want bell to be happy. And for those ‘team jakes’ who say jacob would never leave her, he would. He’d leave her if he imprinted, and he’d leave her for his pack. He DID leave her in eclipse, and would rather trick her into kissing him and then run off rather than staying with her. He’d rather fight with his pack than be with her and keep her safe. Jake is OK. But not more than a best friend and a shoulder to cry on. Oh, and for those who think jake is bells’ ’soulmate’, if they were meant for each other, wouldn’t have he imprinted on her?
Now, Edward. I think he’s the best. He’s smart, sweet, considerate, and a total gentleman. Plus, he does have a sense of humor. The movie made him look more awkward, when I saw him as very confident. I mean, if he wasn’t so confident that bella was his, than he’d have knocked Jake off the face of the planet like he should’ve. But he kept bella’s feelings in mind. And if you think Edward is over-protective, don’t you think he has reason to? How many times has bella nearly died? He even tried to separate himself from her for her own good. Plus, I’d like a guy who cared enough for me to want to keep me safe. I found myself laughing when he disabled her car though. That was funny. Anyways, I know Edward isn’t perfect. But he’s really nice. He means well, and he’s modest. He doesn’t really ask for anything from bella, and doesn’t force her to love him. He just knows that he loves her. And he is meant for bella.
Bella is…hm. I liked her in twilight, but in new moon, she was a total drama queen. In eclipse, she was an obsessive, and a bit spazzy. Breaking dawn was ok. She worries too much. I liked her a lot in Twilight, cause she was curious, cynical, sarcastic and perceptive-traits that are sometimes used to describe myself. But edward loves bella despite her freaking out half the time. And that’s cool. Bella is half in half right now. Eh. She’s ok.

Theres no way she wouldn’t pick Edward! He’s so caring and amazing and he’d do anything for Bella! Jacob is more fitting as her best friend rather than her boyfriend. Edward is her soul mate and she can’t live without him. I hate it when Jacob tries to get in the way of Edward and Bella’s relationship. I wish sometimes that Edward wouldn’t be so calm and would fight for Bella, but he never will because it could hurt her if he hurt Jacob. Which shows that Edward cares about Bella way more than Jacob does. Jacob didn’t even imprint on her- thank god! I liked it better before Jacob was a wolf and only wanted to be her friend, which is the way things should be. Jacobs not her true love. He was just there as a friend to heal her broken heart after Edward had to leave her in New Moon, which was for her own good he thought. Jacob could never heal the broken emptiness Bella felt after Edward left. Even when he was gone when she was with Jacob she was just using him to make her feel happier without her true love. She did the reckless things like riding a motorcycle just so she could hear Edward’s voice, and the only way she could have that was to spend time with Jacob an do stupid things. Jacob will never be enough for her. Her life would be miserable without Edward, and she loves him much more than she does Jacob. I would rather see Bella with Mike than with Jacob! You can plainly see that she’s happiest with Edward. Jacob is awful and he’s always manipulating Bella to kiss him and then she just end’s up getting hurt. Edward would never try to hurt her and is always protecting her and being incredibly selfless. TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!
