This week we have taken on the Book of Jacob! It was soooo awesome that we spent a lot of time talking about it! Don’t worry… we made sure to include your answers to the Question of the Week, and some silly outtakes! As you can imagine this podcast was a BEAST to edit, and it only seemed appropriate since we talked mostly about Jacob. I do need to ward listeners that there is a SPOILER in this podcast, there are actually tons if you haven’t finished Breaking Dawn. I am just warning you that you do not want to listen unless you have finished the book! The music this week is Always Be There by WAZ.

Yay! Mine just downloaded from itunes…can’t wait to listen. I have just discovered you guys and have been catching up on old “pods”…2 burning questions. You have many times referred to being Rosalie Kassie. Did you take a quiz somewhere? WHERE? And Kallie WHERE WHERE WHERE did you find out your “vampire” names?? Y’all are too cute and I just love love love you. I am a 37 yr. old mother of 4 with NO Twilight friends so I am soaking you up like a sponge.

  10. Buffy says:

I just had to comment on this week’s podcast. Y’all totally crack me up. But most of all I have to say that I totally didn’t clue into the fact that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee until the right before Bella clued in. After reading it the second time it does shock me that I didn’t make that connection, but for some reason, it took a while for my mind to get there. So Cassie, don’t feel bad, you are not alone, girlfriend! 🙂

  11. Sia says:

Great podcast ! I loved it ! And it was way funny that Cassie didn’t know. Don’t worry Cassie I had no idea also and my sister ruined it for me to hahaha ….

  12. Wray says:

    Hey Guys!

Long or not I loved your podcast! So much happened in the first half of Breaking Dawn that it had my head spinning too. But I wanted to help you guys out by reminding everyone why Stephenie wrote the imprinting scene the way she did. In Eclipse, Chapter 8, p.176 Jacob is talking to Bella about Quil imprinting on Claire and he explains, “It’s so hard to describe. It’s not like love at first site, really. It’s more like…gravity moves. When you see her, suddenly it’s not the earth holding you here anymore. She does. And nothing matters more than here. And you you would do anything for her, be anything for her…” Stephenie did describe exactly what imprinting was like – a sudden irrevocable detachment of all the the things that were important in your life. One new bond replaces the old ones with gravitational force. To one person.

    That’s intense.

    Love you guys!

  13. kristin says:

can’t wait to listen to it!
love the new look on the site!

A couple things i want to say here. I am listening to the podcast, havent finished yet, but I immediatly got the whole jacob imprinting thing, i couldnt believe it, i kept a blog while i read the book,
i called my friends that i knew were further than me, not by much but some, and i said i cant believe he imprinted on the freaking baby, my 2 good friends, didnt catch that either, don’t feel bad kassie, and these 2 girls are so much more obsessed with the books than me. i thought it was dang clear, but they didnt see it at all.

    its all good

  15. Nia says:

I absolutely loved this week’s podcast! You guys crack me up! And I love all your laughs – they just make me want to laugh more! Cassie’s rendition of “What do I look like, the Wizard of Oz…..” had me crying with laughter, and it just got funnier every time!
    Fantastic guys, I loved it!

  16. Liz says:

I’m right there with ya’ Kassie. I was so glad that Jacob was not going to kill the baby that I totally missed the imprinting thing. Makes sense now but Geez! Give Kassie a break…

  17. Kassie :) says:

Thanks everyone for your positive comments! I loved that y’all loved the show! It was fun, even when I did get a little mad at Kallie for spoiling it! 🙂 It is all good, we can’t stay mad at each other longer than a couple seconds anyway! 🙂 I loved Jacob’s point of view if not just for the titles of the chapters!!! Thanks for listening and for the great comments! Love Love! 🙂

  18. JoAnn O'Brien says:

This was my first time on your site and listening to your podcast and it made me laugh so freakin hard!!!

  19. Marjie says:

First let me say I love your podcast, I was listening to it at work today and I couldn’t stop laughing, i’m sure people around me was wondering what the heck is going on with her lol.. I have to say I wasn’t a big Jacob fan, but I must admit I like him better now and enjoyed reading book 2 and love the mixture from funny to very intense and it was interesting to see Bella and Edward’s relationship through his eyes. Can’t wait for your next podcast.

  20. NovaAlbion says:

Eclipse, Chapter 8 – Temper, page 176 – Jacob telling Bella about Quil imprinting on Claire. “It’s more like … gravity moves. When you see her, suddenly it’s not the earth holding you here any more. She does.”

Breaking Dawn, Chapter 18 – There Are No Words For This, page 360 – Jacob describing his feelings upon imprinting on Renesmee. “The gravity of the earth no longer tied me to the place where I stood. It was the baby girl … that held me here now.”

Of course, the gravity bit in Breaking Dawn was preceded by his description of how, as he looked at Renesmee, all his ties in life had been casually severed like a handful of “strings” and replaced by a million steel cables to the “center of the universe.”

While Kassie may not have picked up on it on her first read through (and most of us don’t pick up everything first time through), she isn’t justified in being angry over being “spoiled” about something she has read but hadn’t yet figured out. (What? You mean that the Cullens are vampires? Darn, you knew that I’ve read all four books. I’m mad at you for spoiling me because I hadn’t figured THAT out yet!!)

Great show, I’ve listened to them all. This one was the best yet. Give my best to the wizard.

  21. Kelly says:

LOL! That was just great! Choosing between Kassie and Kallie? Ohhh thats hard! On but greeeeeattttt podcast!

  25. grace says:

lol it was awesome my friends think it is stupid (the serioes not yall!!!!)i was freakin flippin out at the part where he imprintes i had to read it a few times to belive it.

  26. Amee says:

Another podcast about Seth would be great! He really began bonding with Edward at the end of Eclipse when he helped Edward to destroy Victoria. That comradery seems to have carried over for them more than any of the other wolves or vampires. Very interesting concept!

  27. Jennifer says:

First of all, GREAT PODCAST! Second, I think that you guys were too harsh with Edward though when it came to him wanting to get rid of the baby. I think that from the very beginning he wanted to get rid of it because he hated himself so much for what he was, that the thought of him ever having offspring just repulsed him. He thought that anything that ever came from him must be evil and should be destroyed, especially when his love- the one he waited so long for – could be at risk. Then, when his fears were comfirmed- Bella was dying- he just couldn’t let her give up her life to something so evil… something that may have to be destroyed anyways. He couldn’t let her life be a total waste. That’s why when he heard Renesme’s thoughts of love towards Bella he was determined not to lose Bella nor Renesme. By then he knew she couldn’t be evil. By then he was willing to support his wife in her decision and be a father.

  28. Jennifer says:

I think Seth is the way he is because his youth brings him more open-mindedness towards others. He sees the Cullens and Quiluettes (SPELLING!) as people not as Vamps and Werewolves like everyone else.

  29. Jocelyn says:

ok i must say i am team kassie. i didnt even think that jacob had imprinted until bella caught jacob. i just wanted to get to the book of bella!

  30. danni_oz says:

OMG, funniest podcast ever! I cried from laughing so hard when lindsey compared the obviousness of jacob’s imprinting with wanda and wanderer. And then when kassie hung up….classic! You guys are great…keep it up! I’m all for team Kallie!

  31. Gina S says:

I have talked to other people who did not get that Jacob had imprinted until reading beyond the actual “IMPRINT” part of Book Jacob. I realized it when he said “the center of his universe” because when he describes imprinting in Eclipse he talks about how something becomes the center of your universe. Some how people missed that and maybe forgot about Jacob’s previous description. So there are those few people that didn’t get it. But how were you to know. You just assumed Kassie “got it”. OOPS! Love your podcast. Keep up the great work, I like the longer ones.
    Gina S.

  32. Gina S says:

I agree with you Jennifer about Edward towards the baby. I had that very thought. It wasn’t that he wasn’t ready to be a father or was thoughtless towards Bella’s feelings, it was because he thought it must be something evil inside her, like he said ” a monster” and he thought Bella would lose her life and then they would have to kill it also. Once he understood that it was more he accepted things.

  33. Melaine says:

Great show! I am with Kassie. When I first read Jacob’s (yes – Jacob – not Jake) reaction to seeing Renesme for the first time I did not realize he was imprinting either. Being a mom, I equated his reaction to the feelings I had when I first saw my first born – the way your heart now lives on the outside of your body in that tiny, beautiful little being. It wasn’t until I started reading more in the next chapter that I got confused and had to go back and read Jacob’s reaction again to understand its true meaning. I am glad to say I figured it out before the actual words were said though! Keep up the great work. Can’t wait for the next show!

  34. Marci (major obsessed) says:

I AM SO OBSESSED I FEEL LIKE I CHECK YOUR WEBSITE EVERYDAY (3TIMES A DAY) AND ITUNES EVERYDAY FOR YOUR PODCASTS. YOU GUYS MAKE MY DAY AND WEEK SO MUCH BETTER. GIVE US MORE, MORE, MORE,…………LOVE IT ALL

  35. Carolyn says:

I have to agree with Cassie..I did not realize what was going on! I had to read it a few times and still couldn’t believe it until I read the next chapter. Loved the Podcast! I have to admit, I thought that Jacob was going to imprint on/with Leah!

  36. Amy says:

ome! i totally agree with cassie. i had no clue that jacob imprinted. my sister spilled the beans to me when we stopped our reading session to talk about jacob’s book. i almost died! so…. don’ fell bad. i was uberly mad as well but i felt so dumb for not realized what had just happed =/ i never read the word “imprinted” so i had never thought of that possibility. oh well. lol.
