We know they will have to cast for all of your favorite Quileutes, so feel free to let us know who you think should be playing Leah, Emily and even Claire!

when i heard y’all (you guys have me saying y’all, and it’s really starting to piss my friends off. also, Kassie says “no i’m just kidding” all the time, and i picked THAT up, too) talking about pre-Twilight stories last week, it totally piqued my interest. i’d never thought of Stephenie writing something like that, but it made me want her to. i’m a fanfiction writer, so i’ve explored those topics myself, but i’d love to hear Stephenie’s take on all the Cullen’s histories. i’d be very interested to read those. but on the flip side of that, it would limit my ability to write about those topics.
as for post-BD pov, i’d go with Renesmee, just bc she’s so fresh and new and totally different from any of the perspectives she’s written from (human: all of Twilight and New Moon, everything in Eclipse minus the epilogue, and the first book and first chapter of the third book of Breaking Dawn; werewolf: epilogue of Eclipse and book two of Breaking Dawn; vampire: all of book three of Breaking Dawn minus the first chapter, all of Midnight Sun) and i love Renesmee (please, girls, no Nessie).

another thing. i really want Leah to find love. and of course she can imprint (some ppl have been questioning this) because she is a werewolf, and all werewolves can imprint. i’m rooting for her to get with Embry or someone we haven’t met yet. (you never know!) and if Stephenie writes a post-BD book, since Renesmee is so intertwined int the wolves’ lives, we will c if Leah finds someone. i really hope so, cuz BD kind of left like: “Everyone finds love except for Leah.”

I’m not sure over the actors for the wolves…I personally think more…muscular builds would be needed due to the wolf transformation? But that’s just me..anyway, i personally thought Leah and Jacob where getting close! Oh well…I hope she does imprint, and I think she would if Stephenie Meyer made a sequal maybe about Reneseme and Jacob? She’d probably go for someone you least expect…

Okay, I really don’t care who plays who only that Taylor is still Jacob!!! Now on to Leah( MY FAV. TOPIC!)
I say that this new shpae-shifter(John) will join Jacob’s pack and see Leah for the first time and imprint on him. Leah sorta likes him but didn’t imprint. Then two bro and sis vamps(Mary and Hector) come across the Cullens,and visit. They too are Vegies. So all of Jacob’s pack is at the Cullens and Leah is out side doing patroll stuff….when the two NEW vamps are at the cullens. Then Jake and Seth tell Leah to come back with them, and so she does. When she arrives she smells them and flips out!(Hey typical Leah*DUH*). So they force her to come in and she sees him… BATA BING BATA BONG! She imprinted! Now John on the other hand is uberly mad….WAIT! I’m liking my fan-fic idea! HOLY CROW! I’m so writing this!

I Have no idea who should play anyone….. I’m really bad at naming actors and putting faces to poeple.
But i do have something to say about leah.
I think leah should fall in love of course, and i think it should be a werewolf tht she falls in love with (or shapeshifter). Maybe a new werewolf pack comes into there territory and they meet. I think it should be a wrewolf/sharpeshifter because i think leah deserves to be imprinted on. After the whole sam situation, i think she should have someone that is 100% devoted to her. Even though she might not like that to much.
Leah is one of my favorite characters and i hope stephenie does her story. Everything she’s been threw is just horrible and i hope she has a happy ending.

I haven’t given much thought to this, but I just had some awsome(or at least I think so) ideas.
For Jacob, they ABSOLUTLY HAVE TO have Taylor Lautner. If they dont, I will scream so loudly they will be able to hear my in California (which is very hard to do considering the face that I live in Virginia). For Sam, they should keep Soloman Trimble, I had my doubts in him, but once I saw him in Twilight, he blew me away! For Embry, I think they should keep the same guy. He looks a little young, and I have a tip to make him look older, steroids. HAHA. Just kidding, but if he does play Embry again, he really needs to bulk up. For Quil, I think they should cast Steven Strait, that hot dude from Sky High. For either Paul or Jared, I think they should do that Michael Coopon dude. That freak who they want to recast my Taylor with. For Collin and Brady (I dont really care that they dont come in until Eclip, if you have a problem with that, suck it up) I have always pictured my cousins as them. They arent actors, i just wanted to tell y’all that. They are Romanian, and during the summer they look black/indian-ish (Im not being racist, they actually do look like a mix between and black person and a indian person.) I dont know who should play Seth. If I was casting these movies, I would make Michael Welch get a tan, lift some weights, and die his hair. He has that boy-ish look I have always pictured Seth to have. And for Kim, Jared’s Imprintee, I think she should be Selena Gomez. I know what you’re thinking, dont let those crappy disney stars take over Twilight, too. But just think about it, I know she’s part Mexican, but if she gets a tan, she could totally pull the whole Kim thing off. As for Leah, see if that stud people call Michael Welch has a sister. i would love to see Q’Orianka Kilcher as emily .. not leah, emily. sam and embry were perfect too don’t change them. AND JACOB CANNOT CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don’t give a damn who these other randoms are they will never replace taylor, it would be so wrong to change him. everybody loves taylor as jacob and you can’t let some idiot come along and screw up the movie
I’m from Tacoma, WA, I’m 15 and I’m crazy about Twilight, I get obsessed with it when I’m not performing or taking professional dance classes. I am snowed in right now because of this stupid low pressure system. I live four hours from Forks and La Push. Sadly, I thought of this answer while I was watching The Scorpion King. It’s awesome, before I was watching it I didn’t know Peter Facinelli was in it. I love his character, I cried when he died by an spear to the throat. I thought if Taylor Lautner or Micheal Copon weren’t big enough. Which it isn’t possible that Taylor isn’t cute enough. 🙂 I thought IF they wanted someone huge and macho that looked old and huge that The Rock should play Jacob. I know it’s stupid but It’s the only thing that came to mind. Oh, and I think I’m the only one that thinks Krys Ivory is sooooooooo cute. I LOVE EMBRY!
QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
First I must say that Taylor Lautner has to stay on playing Jacob Black.
I also think that Krys Ivory & Solomon Trimble should continue on playing Embry & Sam.
As for the rest of the LaPush Pack, I have a few ideas.
Paul- Eddie Spears. I think he is really good looking and looks like he could play someone really quick-tempered.
Seth Clearwater- Tyler Posey. Tyler has a fresh face and would make a great youthful looking Seth.
Emily Young- Q’orianka Kilcher. I knew that as soon as I saw the movie would need a Native American actress she came to mind. I loved her in The New World and think she would make a great Emily. I wouldn’t cast her as Leah though because I don’t think her look is harsh enough.
Leah Clearwater-Eliska Sursova. I think Eliska has an amazing look. She is really beautiful, but looks like she can play a “mean” type. I think she has a harsh look that Q’orianka couldn’t pull off, which would make her a good Leah.
That is as much as I could find of professional actors, but I think that the rest of the cast would be great if they were either known or natives brought in to play them!

I just wanted to say how I felt about the whole taylor controversy. I am not a Jacob fan but I recognise him as a great character within the Twilight series and I really want someone awesome to play his role. Personally I do think Taylor did an amazing job with what he was given even if he looks a bit young but that does not really matter as age doesnt reflect maturity, both as Jacob and in real life.
Let me explain, I read your news about fans being mean to Micheal Copon which is really sad and unwanted but his recent interview where he reveals he has not even read the books but still thinks he knows more than taylor specifically annoyed me. This film was so amazing because the actors were not in it for the money and had a true love for the books. I would rather someone love twilight and love their role then look good and love the money.
Ok so I rambled but I think it needed to be said, oh and I love the podcast it makes me smile every time I listen!

I think that they should cast Ben Barnes as Jacob. I think he would be able to bulk up enough for the second movie.
I was really hoping that Leah would have ended up with Jacob.
Stephenie Meyer said that if she were continue writing in that world, she would continue on in Leah’s POV.

i don’t think that it really matters if they change jacob or not. the movie will just be based on the book so really they don’t have to make him giant. when i was reading new moon i just brushed over the fact that he grew, i imagined him the same as i did when i first read twilight. i think that as long as they get it through to the audience that he has changed a little bit it won’t matter, they just need to get the bit right when he is angry at bella-they need to show the hostility that he has during the time when bella doesn’t know his secret
I think Jacob should be recasted, not that I have anything against taylor, but he’s too cute to be “able to pull off as 27 or smt”.
But Ben Barnes is one idea I love!!!!! Q’orianka Kilcher, she’s beautiful, she’d be a very good Leah(it sort of matches with the description in the book). Kalani Queypo can be uhhhhh Quil, he looks the part although I bever cared for him much….

In breaking dawn, I wanted jacob and leach to get together. not by imprinting, though. what i wanted to happen was that they would one day realize that they loved each other, and then get together. they would kinda be…”breaking the rules” i guess, by not imprinting. i think that would’ve been cool.
anyways, i think leah should fall in love/imprint on a vampire. like a new vampire family in forks. OR…she could imprint on one of the cullens! like emmett! haha! rosalie would totally kick her butt, though. lol

well my cast for the pack would be vanessa hudgens as Leah.Now do not call me crazt but when i read the books I throught of Vanessa as leah she just looks the part and she is young so she could pull it off. as for the other part of the cast i think keep taylor all the way. any just my thoghts by the way I’m not an hsm fan but i have younger sib who are soo i knew who that cast is.Sadly
So, I actually did a lot of research and here is who I think should play the wolves:
Leah: Megan Fox- I think she would do a great job, and could really pull off the angry, depressed ex thing quite well. Also, on the Lexicon it describes Leah as being “beautiful in a exotic way–perfect copper skin, glistening black hair, eyelashes like feather dusters”. This description fits Megan perfectly for the role.
Emily: Q’Orianka Kilcher – I could see her playing the loving and sweet character that Emily is.
Seth: Tyler Posey – He would make a wonderful Seth..
Paul: Steven Strait – He could totally play the hot tempered sort of person, don’t you think.
So last but not least, Jacob: Taylor Lautner – He should continue playing the role because, lets face it he did a great job in twilight and I think he could so us what he could really do in New Moon!
I think Taylor Laughtner for jacob, they really shouldnt change him he did such a good jog doing jacob in twilight ! PLEASE DONT LET US JACOB BLACK FANS DOWN.

grr i dont know who i would choose for the wolf pack, but im kinda mad that i missed last weeks question because i figured out the PERFECT JANE. her name is jodelle ferland and she was in silent hill and Kindom hospital she is so cute in the im gonna kill you than drink your blood and shes an amazing actress.
oh and i forgot to add that she was in the messangers with Kristen i repeat PERFECT JANE
I always got the impression that Leah had a thing for jacob. I think it would be awesome if the next book was about how leah falls for jacob even though he doesn’t love her. Leah is kinda a trouble maker and she could cause some drama between him and renesme. Also i love that idea that she doesn’t fall for jacob right away too, and shows him her dating another cold one. Finally who knows, Leah could imprint on one of the vultori.
i don’t really have any preferences for who plays any of the wolves…except for Jacob. i think that Taylor should continue to play Jacob. I heard that he is working out to bulk up and put on weight. He IS Jacob for me and i know he is excited and committed to the role. When Edwards leave Bella and she first starts to hang out with Jacob, he hasn’t started to transform YET, so he would still be the same as he was in twilight. i think it would be disconcerting to see another Jacob in the beginning of New Moon. Anytime, you have movies based on a series, you should have the same actors, unless they are unwilling, and i know Taylor is more than willing. Also. Jacob gets to be almost 7ft tall. no actor they get is going to match that! so give me my Taylor and do some special effects or special camera angles…

Taylor Lautner HAS to be Jacob Black!!!!! I hate it when they change actors in movie series. Also Taylor is EXACTLY how I pictured Jacob. I love his personality!!!!
As for who should play Leah i think Venessa Anne Hudgens would be good she fits the physical description of Leah and is part Native American she is also well known which will bring in some of her fans to the movie. I also think Rosario Dawson should play Emily she has the type of friendly personalitl Emily has and did very well in Seven Pounds (in which coincidentally she plays a girl named Emily). Clair is a hard role for me to cast because I don’t know any two-year-old actresses but if one of the actors in the Quillet tribe had a younger sister or young child they could use her. Not only would she resemble the other tribe members but it would be fun for her spending time with her family instead of people she has never met.
I forgot to say if Leah should fall in love. Definately yes and I think with Aero one of the Vultori.
Should Leah fall in love?
I think it’s important that Leah find love so that the series has a sense of female empowerment. There Leah is, the only female in an historically all-male pack. And, on top of that, she’s one of the few that has not imprinted and even worse she’s in love with Sam. It’s an interesting dynamic that Stephenie Meyer put in the novel, and yet, it seems to lead nowhere. Leah begins to find solace when Jacob is also struggling with his identity–becoming an alpha male, loving a soon-to-be-vampire who is married to his mortal enemy, and being a mythical creature. Leah loses some of her sense of loneliness and singularity by identifying with Jacob’s pain.
But that solace is short lived when Jacob soon imprints on Renesme. The book says that his pain snapped away and all that remained was his love for Renesme. So, once again, Leah is a singular werewolf carrying heavy burdens of emotional pain. I think it would be interesting if she found a way to love herself. Or just some other way to heal her pain than just jumping to another man. She deserves happiness in whatever guise it comes, but a jump to another guy’s arms would ruin the potential for some real kick-ass girl power.
Hey Kassie, Kallie. there was no thought put into the ordering of names there, its just that i hear it every week on the podcast. Like peanut butter, and jelly wouldnt work as jelly & pb. Ok well anyway i know that the Q of the week is supossed to be about who we want to play who from la Push, but i dont think we should go by what people look like to suggest who should play one of the Native americans there. Plus i think that i would not be upset, but maybe i wouldnt be able to see the person who actually plays the character as that character if you know what i mean? Well in ending that Q, I will answer the other, about leah falling in love. I would like to see Leah find someone that would be perfect for her. I, as i just stated would like to see her fall in love, but i dont think i would want to see her imprint on anyone. I know it would be nice for her to find an ultimate soulmate, but i think that if she had a choice she wouldnt want to imprint on someone. What with Sam, and then having to see her cousin with him, i dont think she would want to be subject to the same thing. As in being anything similar to Sam, and i think she likes to have authority over her life. In BD she fought with Jacob about having her own will power. I think that Leah would want to have achoice in who she wanted to love. Of course she wouldnt want to be rejected, or make the wrong choice, but i think shes the type of Girl (Shape shifter/ warewolf) that like to have the power, and likes to make her own decisions, on everything… well thats my answer…have fun on the podcast! and to tell you the truth, i think they are sort of rushing with New Moon don’t you think?
I love Taylor Lautner as Jacob, but I think it is unrealistic to expect him to go from looking like a sixteen year old boy to a twenty-five year old man. Taylor won’t be able to rush mother nature no matter how much he works out and beefs up. I think special effects and make up could go bad, so…. I think its best if they just cast someone else. Steven Strait perhaps?
I think Q’Orianka Kilcher would play a perfect Emily.
Uhm well. Honestly I think Taylor Lautner did fine in twilight. He didnt really act like Jacob does in the book though. He didn’t intirely show the foundations for New moon that I believe is a necessity. And Really all those people who think taylor should play Jake for the next (hopefully) three movies just because he was in twilight and they feel sorry for him well boo hoo. I love the twilight series so much. And I would love to have a respectable movie to go along with the book! And honesty Twilight the movie didn’t have ANYTHING on Twilight the novel. New moon in particular though is abit touchy because with all the special effects needed for wolf Jacob It will cost HEAPS. And I think it would be a extreem shame to take NEEDED money from the wolf effects to make up for Taylors lack maturety is just stupid? Honestly people I dont know about you but I would much rather a good movie with taylor only in the begining then a movie which discrases the book with shotty special effects ALL the way though with a animated looking human Jacob Black and a REALLY fake looking pack of wolfs.

Hmmm… well I think unknowns would be the best option. Although Solomon didnt really have that much acting experience before he did twilight, and even though he only had about 3 lines, i still think he did a great job and he looked the part. Nobody really knew ashley green, peter fascinelli and all the other cullens before they were cast in twilight and i think they’ve done a great job!
Solomon should stay as Sam, and the guy who played Embry looked the part too. I loved Taylor as Jacob, so even if they do get an older jacob, i hope they still use taylor in the film for the first part of new moon as Jacob, before he turns wolfie!
Someone earlier suggested that girl who played pocohantas (in the New world with colin farrell) for a role, and i love that idea…maybe an Emily?

Hi girlies! I think that Q’orianka Kilcher should play Leah. She was AMAZING in the New World and she can obviously play i a movie with a HAWT lead. Have you SEEN Colin Farrell? LOL! Any way, I also like Alex Rice, but I think she might be a little old. And I know that Sam is Solomon Trimble and I hate to say this, but I think David Midthunder would be a good Sam. I think Eliska Sursova or Julia Jones III should play Emily. Sam should be played by Simon Baker III. I think Seth should be Evan Saucedo or Tyler Posey. I want Taylor Lautner to be Jacob.
