Via Facebook: Solomon Trimble has confirmed that he will not be reprising the role of Sam Uley in New Moon.

UPDATE: This message was posted on Solomon’s MySpace page:

My agent heard from Summit Entertainment today that I will not be reprising the role of Sam in “New Moon.” While I will cherish the experience of being involved in the first film, I am looking forward to many new opportunities in the future and would like to thank everyone for their support.

I hate the fact that they are changing the character and not keeping the integrity of the movie. Solomon was such a good guy too, he was always awesome in interviews, I wonder why they didn’t get him again for New Moon. But to be perfectly honest I never saw him as Sam Uley, I pictured him taller and stronger, after all he carries Bella when he finds her in the woods (tear =*( ). Hopefully the guy the pick truely exemplfies Sam.
