Gil Birmingham was born July 13, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas.  Throughout his career
he has appeared in such television shows as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Oz," and
"Veronica Mars" and will next be seen as Billy Black in the film "Twilight."

Billy Black is the father of Jacob Black and is an elder of the Quileute tribe in La
Push, WA.  Billy has two other children, twin daughters Rachel and Rebecca, from his
late wife Sarah.   Due to his diabetes, Billy is confined to a wheelchair.  He is
very good friends with Charlie Swan and Harry Clearwater, and is a direct descendant
of Ephraim Black, the last chief of the Quileute tribe.
