I’ve been thinking about what songs remind me of any of the books in the series and for some reason all I can come up with are songs from Finch…Probably b/c that’s what I’ve been listening to lately.
“What it is to Burn” from Finch makes me think of Twilight from Edward’s POV (which I guess would technically be Midnight Sun). It’s not quite so literal in terms of the lyrics with the exception of a few lines but it’s more about the message/vibe of the song.
“Stay With Me” reminds me specifically of the scene on the drive back from Port Angeles: “Once again your eyes, make it hard to ask you why. So I sit here knuckles tight, hands against the wheel, your head against the glass.
And you mean so much to me. There’s something in the air tonight, something that makes me feel alive”

This song reminds me so much of Edward at the beginning of Twilight. It instantly reminds me of how much trouble he’s having by just being around her, but at the same time it reminds me of how she accepts him, thirst and all, and how grateful he is for that.

I absolutly LOVE Skillet…and when I heard “Better than drugs” by them I totally FLIPPED!! It is an AMAZING song from Edward’s POV…if anyone could get this to Catherine Hardwicke (the movie director)…I think it would be OUTSTANDING for the movie. And I LOVE Twilight Series Theories!!!
Definitely “Saving Me” by Nickelback. It’s an Edward’s-point-of-view thing. I picture this song playing when/if he tells Bella he does actually care if he goes to Hell, and he wants to be “saved” (or something like that).

Raining All The Time by Kill Hannah —It’s an amzing song and it reminds me of everything from forks to Edward and Bella. =]. At first it starts out weird so you don’t think much of it. But after that it says “I feel like an animal and I don’t think I get it, but one day i’ll make you proud.” Edwards POV definetly. Look up the lyrics and you will definetly agree that it sounds like them. but I kinda think that It is more New Moon-y but it works for both. =]
Cellar Door — Edward’s POV. Ok this doesn’t exactly happen. No it doesn’t at all really. But if Edward could sleep and he had a nightmare this would totally be it. “I lost control. “Dirty Little Secret” lol!!! I don’t know, I just think it would be hillarious if that song started during the movie or such. Just because it is so… not Edward and not romantic in any way, shape, or form. I think that when we think of songs, we shoud keep it straight for the characters. If you can imagine Edward listening to it- than I think it would be okay. But, just the thought of Edward listening to “Dirty Little Secret” makes me laugh!!!

OOOH! I think “Everytime we touch” by CASCADA is a perfect Twilight song. It defines how Bella feels about Edward with the static when they touch . It describes the scene in lab class when she wants to reach out and touch him. The only thing that bugs me is the first line. I’ve been listening to a lot of The Spill Canvas latley and a lot of their songs remind me of twilight. I was listening to “this is for keeps” on my friends ipod and i swear, my heart stopped. i almost died. i looked up a lot of their other stuff and noticed that they almost all remind me of Twilight. that song is actually about a vampire:

In case you guys don’t know, for the ones saying Lion should be in the movie - Rebecca St James only sings Christian songs. That song is inspired by the lion, the witch and the wardrobe but it is about Aslan (God)
I highly doubt Rebecca would ever give the rights of the song for a movie about a vampire romance when the song is about something so deep.
I do love Twilight and I do think the song goes with it, from a non-Christian point of view, but just saying I don’t think it would ever be able to make it in the movie.
