Taylor Lautner is Jacob Black!

It has been confirmed in an article released by the Peninsula Daily News today that Taylor Lautner is playing Jacob Black in Twilight! The article also discusses some of the filming schedule, and confirms that they will be filming in LaPush!
I think Taylor will be the perfect Jacob. He is exactly as I pictured him. & he will be wearing a wig. Plus, He only has a small part in this movie& he is SUPPOSED to look 16 in this movie. So really, I don’t see why everyone is so upset about it. & I’m sure that the people who chose the cast have read the books they wouldnt pick someone who didnt suit the role. They arent stupid.
I think taylor is perfect for the role of Jacob Black because he is VERY cute. Plus i love him so anyone who has a problem with that can deal with it.
i think this kid playing jake could only be used for young jake when it comes time for older looking jake to come into the movie they are going to ahve to find a new actor
Ok. Lets get one thing strait. TAYLOR LAUNTER IS THE ONLY PERSON THAT COULD EVER PLAY JACOB. Ok. now that’s said. Edward Cullen CANNOT be played by the same person as Cedric Diggory. nope. nopidiNOOOO. Edwards really gorgeous. this guy, not in the slightest.
I think this Taylor Launter kid will be a great Jacob. You can almost feel the joy gushing from him when he smiles. Plus he’s suppose to be a dedicated martial artist. Most the pictures I’ve seen of him are a few years old, he doesn’t look like that. I saw a tiny clip of the filming or Twilight and I saw him in it dress
for the part. He’s going o do fine. Besides, back to the martial arts point, he’s strong and he is at that age where he’s just going to keep growing and growing add those two facts together plus some movie magic? He’ll do just fine. Don’t worry.
Now for Edward. Everyone is so caught up on if Edward is hot enough, yes he’s suppose to be just beautiful but that’s not the most important thing here! I think they picked the right guy. Look at the descriptions of him in the book,he looks thin from far away, then up close you see many muscles. He’s tall and angular, they’ll do his hair and give him contacts and boom one Edward to go. He’s a decent actor with the right looks, give him a chance and stop being so judgmental on looks alone, Edward is more than just a pretty face.
I think hes perfect for the job and anyone sayin hes not is truly retarded! just cause they didnt put sum1 yuu didnt imagine! well they are lookin for casts the author imagined not every single person that read the book!
everyon has a different point on how they thought he would look!

and because hes been an animal in another movie itb will be cool to se him as a werewolf now! (y)

Taylor is way cute! he’s not much of a native american, he’s a mix of a guy from peru and an abercrombie model. that’s what i think…he’s an awesome actor, i’ve seen most the movies he’s been in and i love him!

hey i just wanna say i am native american i’ve never seen this guy in the sharkboy and lava girl movie but this guy is soooooooo HOT what are all of you calling insulting so what he fits the description for twilight…just cause he is kinda scrawny looking now doesn’t mean hollywood can’t bulk him up a little beleive me he is just fine……
Oh and by the way the whole cast is perfect honestly I think every vampire was supposed to be prettier but isn’t that the purpose of them being vampires because they are vamps…humans just used the best they had which is technically humans lol so stop hating….now if when the movie comes out and they all suck up the movie then we as the fans of twilight can riot but till then let the actors work…..without all of the hating……thats right I’m talking to the people who have been complaining about how the charachters don’t fit their perfect pic of the charachter, well they aren’t going to they are only human after all and to tell the truth they aren’t that bad.

um… not quite sure why everyone is freaking out now anout how taylors not “big and Bulky enough… he doesn’t get huge till the other book. they will have the same problems bulking him up as they would have with anyone else.

Just letting you know, Taylor will be fine because he does have experience as an actor and a martial artist.. and in the first book he doesn’t have to be huge, because he doesn’t come into his werewolf-ness until the second book. He was taller than Bella, but not overly huge, and Kristen is actually pretty short, so the contrast should work out well enough.
Remember, he thought that it was all legend and Bella flirted with him to get information about Edward. So, Taylor will do fine, especially since he doesn’t have that large of a role.
It isn’t as if they cast him as Edward.
I mean, the interviews with Robert do not make him look very intelligent, but his acting is decent enough, just like musical artists.. not very intelligent in real life, but their performances are phenomenal.
Remember, you can ‘hate’ on the actors chosen, but it wont change anything because they have already started filming.
The fact of the matter is, they cannot find a young handsome American Indian who also happens to be an actor… its a rare find at all, and the only American Indian actors out right now are adults.
I’m sure there is hidden talent somewhere, but it will not be in this movie.

I have to admit I was skeptical about some of the choices for actors for this movie. I hated the choice for edward…until I saw the trailer. They actually are making good choices and I think this guy wil be great in the role. Him being or not being Native American has nothing to do with why people want to see the movie. Most people I know could care less about that kind of stuff
If I had a choice between, Edward and Jacob, I would choose Jacob. Hands down.
Taylor Lautner is the most perfect guy for JB! First of all he is HOT with all caps…. And geez give him a chance he looks fine as a NA we don’t want him to be wearing a freaking buffalo skin cloth and have a spear in his right hand!!!!!! He will do fine! And enough complaining about JB which there is no reason to complain but Edward is ugly! ARE YOU SERIOUS! Robert is ugly! Not perfect Edward! so shut -up on JB and hate the Edward Cullen actor!!!!!!
First off, I personally am a fan of Lautner as Jacob. I have no qualms about him playing our favourite Quileute werewolf.
Secondly:
Look, I know that a lot of people aren’t happy with the casting. But seriously, people, they’re out there just trying to do their jobs? Have any of you ever tried to cast anything? It is ridiculously difficult. I won’t pretend to be a professional, I’m just an amateur stage director, but casting is still pretty difficult. You’re never going to get the perfect fit for any role immediately. Character/actor fit shows up more on stage/film once the actor has had time to get into character.
Besides, Stephenie Meyer has okayed the actors, and she says that Kristen and Robert have great on-screen chemistry (insanely important for this movie). So if all you are going to do is complain, don’t say anything at all. You’re really raining on the parades of those of us who do support the movie.

why not actually wait to see the movie before judging the characters? I mean, wouldn’t it just make more sense? ‘Cos most of y’all are just complaining about the way a person looks. Why not try arguing the acting skills for a change? If anything, it’s a plus that the cast is rather young, so that they might grow into their character. Just a thought. Consider it, please.

Twilight is a FICTIONAL movie, how much better casts do you want? Do you really think you could find a person whose eyes can turn from a ‘liquid topaz’ to a ‘dangerous black’???!!! Or a person who has a crooked smile that cool kill people??!!! Or glowing skin in the sunlight??!!! Or a body as huge as Jacob’s mentioned in the book???!!! I am quite surprised to see Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, but its a minor role in the first movie. Maybe they will change it in new moon, who knows~ Just stop it with the ‘I hate the casts, blah blah, Jacob is so not Jacob, blah blah’!!!

Personally, I am not happy with the casting. Taylor might be a nice guy but I really don’t like his acting. Of course, that is up to personal discretion. I just kinda wish that they chose someone unknown. I think that would be really fun! Taylor Lautner reminds me of some fake surfer boy. (yeah, weird connection)
Oh and that wig, lemme just say I am A HUGGEEE JACOB FAN and that wig is just awful! It is ridiculous looking. (ppl you complained about jaspers wig when there really wasn’t anything wrong with it. im allowed to complain about the ridiculous bird thats on taylor’s head. lol) And I know that the wig obviously wasn’t his choice, But why can’t they just make him grow his hair long?!?! I am really disappointed with ALL the actors they chose for the Twilight movie, and i am a HUGE fan, don’t get me wrong, but honestly Robert Pattison as EDWARD?!?!?!?!? Edward is suppose to be mysterious and sexy, and he just isn’t. And this guy as Jacob?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! utter disgrace! very very very very very very very very very disappointed, and i am definitely not going to watch the movie. sorry Steph but i refuse. and this is MY opinion so don’t judge me just because i don’t like the actors. every one has a right to their opinion.
