This week it is a longer podcast…we hope that you can take it!  (Sorry it is soooo late…there were technical difficulties!)  We had so much fun talking about Carlisle and Esme!  We have some great answers to the Question of the Week, and Peter Facinelli’s answers are included!  There is an announcement in the podcast about a new segment, called “Supporter Speculations”, you can check out more about it on the ‘Theories’ page on our site.  This week’s music is Come Back Alive, by Ester Drang.  Enjoy!

  8. Kim says:

Ladies, love you too! You can talk longer; I don’t mind. I completely agree that Bedward is so much better than Edwella; the connotation involved puts it over the top!

  10. Git 'r Done! (Amy) says:

    How about Belward?

  11. CullenFan1918 says:

I like Bedward. I think it sounds better. The other name just has like a creppy sound to it…or at least it does to me.

  12. Fallow says:

I actually rolled my eyes when I heard about the whole…Bella and Jacob thing. Ugh. *kicks Jacob* Someone, neuter him before it’s too late! I’ve never heard of Edwella, surprisingly, only Bedward. I like Bedward cause of the whole bed ordeal that happens in Eclipse.

  13. Amy says:

I LOVE it when Peter speaks from Carlisle’s point of view :D.

And Bedward is alot better then Edwella…

  14. Amber says:

    …..I’m bummed.
I won’t be able to listen to this for awhile. I have Trivia this weekend, all weekend, day and night. so depending on the school work load…idk when i’ll be able to listen..so..the later you post the next one..the easier for me..
haha look at me suggesting seclusion.
im sorry just felt like i’d show how antsy or exlain rather how excited i am for this podcast!

thanks again i’ll try to listen soon.

  15. Janet says:

Great episode and thanks for explaining how you pick the music!

If you took the last two letters of each of their names you would get Lard. haha but I don’t think people would go for that. 🙂 I don’t really care what you guys pick but in two out of the three couples you picked the girls name first (rosamett and eslisle) and then there’s Jalice. So maybe it should be Edwella to make it even but then I think I like Belward better…I don’t know this is hard.

  16. Melanie says:

    Hey Kallie and Kassy..
i know you guys are still kinda distraught about a new Edward and Bella name..
and i was thinking not.. Edwella…
    but….
    EDELLA.
    i like that better.
    its sounds nicer.. than edwella..
    you decide.

  17. Good evening ladies – I just enjoyed this week’s podcast, and your theory about who would be the lead when it comes to dealing with the Volturi – whether it would be Carlisle or Edward or Bella.

So, my theory… I think that the Cullens will have to face the Volturi as a family – that is where their strength lies. Family decisions are thoroughly discussed, but the final decision will rest with Carlisle.

How ever the Volturi come at the Cullens, Carlisle will want to first try a diplomatic response. His nature is to avoid violence, and would want to find a way to discuss the problem away, face to face with the Volturi.
Emmett, Jasper, and I think especially Edward will want to have a more violent response, and not just to satisfy their gusto for the fight. Edward does not trust the Volturi, having seen inside their minds, and is convinced that they are intent on violence against the Cullens.

Edward carries a lot of weight in the family decision making due to his natural omniscience, but also defers to Carlisle as an authority figure.

So Carlisle will be the final decision maker, but that decision will not come without significant input from the others. We saw this process in action in Eclipse when the family discussed what was to be done about the newborn army.

As to the final RESOLUTION with the Volturi – I think that will lie in Bella’s hands (vampire Bella, of course).
For my full theory, see the website above.

Thanks for the great interview with Peter!

Per Bedward – I have seen that name used in other contexts on the net already – and none of them were refering to Bella…

    blondie
    A TwilightMom!

  18. Kymmie says:

EDWALLA! IS THE RIGHT ONE! LOL… Edwella sounds romantic… Bedward sounds masculine… and reminds me of the name bernard… lol.. don’t know why….

  19. ashley says:

Bedward. I’ve never even heard of Edwella or seen anyone use that term before.

  20. Jess says:

    Edwella is a horrible name!

    BEDWARD IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Kia Gregory says:

Hello my girls! OK, thanks for getting me home safe today! Loved the podcast this week. There was a lot about Esme I didn’t really know about. I also started thinking more about the way Eslile take care of Edward. t makes total sense about how he is the the los lonely boy in the family. I was better to understand the angst that Carlisle feels when he sees Edward in a struggle and the way Esme prolly hurts for Edward at night because she knows what he’s missing> Anyway, lots to think about when I was listening…
And DUDE, TEAM BEDWARD all the way!

  22. Sara says:

i love how most of us here are edward fans…die jacob…. anyhoo i loved the podcast

next week i am going to laugh soo hard because Kassie is going to be booooo the whole time. I was laughing so hard at then end when she did that hahahah

the week after that will be great because its all about edward and bella (aka beward edwella edwalla and edella oh and belward

  23. Ada says:

Hey, where did the info about Esme’s past come from? I remember reading about it but when my friend was all like “that’s not in the books?!” I tried to remember where I’d read it i came up blank…. Help?

  24. Kate says:

You ladies are so hilarious! I love your show and can’t wait for future updates. All of your podcasts are on my iPod and I listen to them all the time now. 😉 Your theories are so well thought out that they make me really think about them and do some pondering of my own! Also, I’d also like to say that you made me laugh so hard this week, Kassie! I (and probably most of the fandom) share the exact same sentiments about Jacob with you, so don’t you worry about a thing, dear.. 😉

So, I especially enjoyed this week’s podcast about Carlisle and Esme. I learned so much more about these characters and their history that I didn’t know, so that was great. I guess I just wanted to comment about the first part of the question for this week as well. I loved the answers that everyone gave, especially Peter. I adore the fact that he’s gotten so much into the character of Carlisle, and it made me giggle that he talked from his perspective. But I agree that Carlisle maybe is sad that Edward is having such a hard time with feeling lonely, but I certainly don’t think that he regrets changing him, or any of the others for that matter. Because of his deeply religious upbringing, he most likely feels that, because he was changed and found this new way of life, he can use it as a way to help others. I also agree completely with Peter’s thoughts about vampires: they are above humans because they have all these spuerhuman abilities, and they are above vampires because they chose not to be the primal and bloodthirsty beings (at least for humans) that the other vamps are. It IS almost as if Carlisle created a new race of vampire, and I love that idea.

On another note: please change the name for the Edward and Bella podcast. Bedward just rolls off the tongue so much better and I agree with Kallie: it does sound like they’re moving forward to a bed. YES!! I absolutely can’t wait to hear that podcast.
