    Hmmm, I love twilight and all . . . but it is definitely not going to come anywhere near being a bigger franchise than Harry Potter.

    First of all Harry Potter technically will have double the amount of movies that twilight will ( Twilight only has 4 books to adapt to film . . . Potter has 7 books plus Deathly Hallows is going to be split into two films so 8 films.)

    Second Harry Potter appeals from young children all the way to adults so you have a massive amount of merchandise . . . toys, candy, clothes, collector wands and broomsticks . . . just a BUTT LOAD of stuff that I don’t see being produced for Twilight. Little Kids won’t be interested in having an Edward and Bella action figure.

    Heck Harry Potter is so big it’s got it’s own genre of music.

    Don’t get me wrong I think that the Twilight movies will do extremely well . . . and I think that the movies will be better quality than the Harry Potter films. At least I hope so because even though I go to see the HP films and own them . . . movie wise . . . they are mediocre. I really hope that Twilight will rise above the standard that Harry Potter has set and actually deliver a movie that just isn’t an adaptation of a book, but a solid movie experience that transports you into the world where you are still at the edge of your seat anticipating what happens next . . . even though you have read the book and already know. I really want to see magic between Ron and Kristen.

    So basically I think the Twilight movies will do well and be good . . . but they are not going to beat Harry Potter . . . and sorry to sound a bit harsh . . . but people who are expecting this are a bit delusional.
