I DO have a philosophical problem with those who think that Jacob will imprint on Leah…from what I understand…it’s not possible. Perhaps I’ll put that in my answer to the question of the week next week so that it’ll catch your attention? 🙂

PS: IF!!!!! Jake were to die I don’t believe Edward would be jealous….. if the forest Edward had thanked JAcob for protecting Bella while he was “gone.” Even though he didn’t like that Jake was around Bella, he still was greatful.. which would make him greatful, in a non-selfish way, that Jake would sacrifice his life for Bella… I believe Edward would respect him for that. 🙂 just a side note!…. lol… love you guys!!! I actiously check your site multiple times a day to see any updates.. thanks so much!

I loved your answer to the Question of the Week, Kallie! I agree completely that Jacob is infatuated with Bella…maybe he’s more in lust than in love with her, because they definitely don’t have anything that comes close to what Bella and Edward have. Can’t wait until next week! My favorite subject!

seriously, i don’t have a problem with Jacob, but he sucks for LIKING Bella. it should be illegal for someone to be passionately in love with Bella unless you’re Edward Cullen.

I just felt like bringing something up.. as we all know, Stephenie is keeping real quiet about upcoming breaking dawn, she’s only really spilled 3 things that are certain, she said that breaking dawn will explore imprinting even further, and long ago she also said – I saw it on the Lexicon – that bd will involve the Denali coven, and the Voltouri. What do think about that? no one ever talks about Denali, and I wanna hear theories 🙂
I’m high on Neo Citran, listening to this podcast and ROFLMAO too! You girls crack me up!!! I’m so with Kassie on this one, I can’t even say Jacob’s name without cringing. He doesn’t love Bella – he hasn’t imprinted on her and honestly, I think that will be the big thing in Breaking Dawn. Bella will get all crazy when she’s not Jacob’s only one and then I’ll want to smack her! She’d better not break Edward’s heart…again.

Hello my name is Laurie and I’m an Edwardaholic BUT Jacob is young hormonal dilusional and lack relationship experience and I really don’t think he has had many examples. If anything I feel kind sad for him and really want him to be happy but just as friends with Bella. I have a friend like that he’s in Tucson and I’m in Kansas and we talk about once a month and give each other supportive warm fuzzies. It can work and Edward is the better man and could allow a friendship because his the “Bigger Person”, as in will make sacrifices for her total happiness.
love the podcasts. i’m offically addicted. you guys are the perfect distraction during finals week.
I don’t know why Kassie hates Jacob so much. Ya, I like Edward, but that’s no reason to hate Jacob.
Also, on Meyer’s website she says that Portland is too cold. I’m a Portlander and I think it’s too warm here. Also, if you’ve ever been to the midwest in winter is is SO much colder than Portland any time of year.

I used to really reallly realllyy love you guys but after this episode my ideas changed. Jacob is my favorite character in the whole series. I just love everything about him. Edward is probably one of my least favorite characters. I know i’m not like most of the Twilight fans but I just can’t help it. I hated how one of you ( i can’t tell the difference) kept saying “ew” about everything having to do with jacob. I know you were trying to make out that you were kidding, but i DEFINITELY know that you weren’t kidding. and another thing, Jacob is NOT immature. yeah, compared to the perfect Edward he seems like a little baby. It really hurt me to listen to that episode because the Jacob-hating one is just soooo bias!!!!!! I am just really disappointed with this past show because I feel that the right opinions weren’t represented. I don’t think I am going to listen to your podcast anymore because I love Jacob too much (no, it’s really not like obsessed like the Edward-freaks) to hear a totally bias opinon of him constantly. When I saw that you guys made this episode I was soo excited because I LOOVVEE Bella and Jacob together, either as friends or in a more romantic relationship. Whenever I read about Bella and Edwards parts in the book,(I know its not JUST me but i am one of the few that feel this) that Bella and Edwards love is more like a creepy addiction. I completely understand that its NOT meant to be like that but I never like the way any of it is described.
all in all, just stop bashing on jacob. there are many jacob lovers out there and believe it or not, NON edward lovers.
Hey Liv…I wanted to respond to your comment about the Jacob bashing…(this is Kallie writing BTW)
I am not the biggest Jacob fan, but I totally like him! My sister on the other hand, does not like him so much. I am sorry if it came across as ‘Jacob Bash Fest 2008’ but I think we were going for more humor than anything! I am really excited that SM might take the books in the direction of following Jacob’s story, however it may unfold! I can understand that you would not want to listen to people that don’t have the same views as you, but I hope that you will give us another try and just ignore Kassie! LOL!
I finally got to listen to the podcast yesterday (it wasn’t available until then on itunes)!!! Yeah!!
I just wanted to mention a couple of things about Bella and Jacob. First (and most significantly) they love each other. Bella says over and over again that in her heart Jacob is family. It gets messed up and a little ugly for a while, but I think they will always love each other and find a way to work it out so that they are not hurting each other so much. I don’t know that they will be able to remain in close proximity to each other, but I think they will always feel a bond. Second, Jacob is the one who really needs to work this out. I can’t blame him though because he really believes that in order to let Bella go, he would have to allow her to die and he just can’t see how that could be right. Jacob can’t argue that Edward is a good being – but he can’t even concede that Edward is a man! And he certainly isn’t human any more! In Eclipse, Jacob just feels that he can’t give up on Bella – ’cause it would be wrong – so he pushes and pushes and hurts them both in the process. On the other hand, it makes Bella realize just how much she is giving up in choosing her life with Edward. That’s a good thing! Bella come out of that surer than ever of her choice.

I have a very unbiased opinion of “Jella” and “Bedward” I think that being on “team switzerland” gives me that freedom. A lot of twilighters that have picked a definate team say that “switzerland ” is the cowards way out but not if you do truly love all three characters and want nothing but the best for them.
That was completely besides the point but I thought i needed to explain my unbiasedness (not a word I know) before giving my response to this podcast.
I think that to look at them both equally you need to look at the fact that Jacob is 16 and Edward is 107, that means that you cant accuse of Jacob of being immature compared to Edward because there is a 91 year age difference. For his age Jake is very mature, remember what Charlie said about taking care of his father physically the way Bella took care of Rene emotionally, both take alot of maturity something that they both share,
Jake is reckless and carefree for the most part espeacially when he’s with Bella, because we should all feel the freedom to be our selves around the ones we love, Jacob really loves Bella, the “in love” way and i agree with Kallie? is it? when she said that that night on the beach was when Jacob fell in love with Bella, Bella in Eclipse (when she realised she was “in love” with him too notice “in love” becasue thats how stephenie describes it (steph clearly says that she beleives it is totally possible to be “in love” with two people at once and that is bella’s predicament(it just comes down to which is the greater love:which kassie? im sure is happy about) even says that they are soul mates and if Edward hadnt of existed (which technically he shouldnt, if you are trying to not be biased) they would have met that night on the beach and realized they had a place in eachothers lives and moved on from there. If she had not been “in love” with Edward already, if she had not met him, she would have had fun with Jake, because he was different than the other guys there hitting on her, because they shared a certain comraderie and he just plain and simple was fun to be around. and if edward and the cullens had not existed and been in forks then Jacob would not have become a werewolf. the difference between the existance of jake and the la push tribe is that they would have servived if not for the vampires and his existance is “perfectly normal” in the twilight world,
Bella and Jake would have been together. plain and simple, and jake knows that. and he knows its fair to her for her to know that she’s in love with him too before she makes life altering decisions. (like rosalie said)
Jake would not have regretted his decision to kiss bella because he made her realize she loved him and that will always mean more to hiim than anything, even if he imprints that would still affect him, what bella and edward have is kinda like an imprint , it trunmps soul-mate, which isnt that what an imprint does? but bella still loves Jake like Sam still loves leah so it would stand to reason that even if Jake got that (which I hope he does so he can have a happy ending) he would stil love Bella.
edward is not perfect, like Jacob he has faults that make him “human”
edward has a way of overreacting and overanalyzing everything which nearly always ends in disatrous results see new moon and “jake situation” those are all clearly his mistake…and humans make mistakes, which is why no human is perfect and edward is “human” he makes mistakes, hence not perfect, but he tries so hard to be, to make all the “right” decisions and that is what makes him SO DAMN CLOSE. Hence why “team edward” fans can only see Jake’s flaws…and jake has them…but they are endearing human flaws as well and most of them are the flaws of youth that he will eventually grow out of, edward has had his chance and done splendedly, give jake one too!
this is rammblng but the point I’m trying to make is that it was unfair to give such a biased podcast. the “bedward” one is also biased, both the same way, the listeners want to hear about the couples ina way that lets them draw their own conclusions and it was very unfair to those of us that love jacob or are switzerland and love both.
i love them both. i love bella adn i want them all to be happy. i believe because of the way things are Bella and Edward have to be together, but that if things were more natural Jacob would be her choice in this world,
i want jake to be happy too and i want him to imprint and get the same unaturally soul-mate trumping relationship. because he DESERVES it not just as a cheap ungracious offering because someone is trying to be fair.
this may come off like i love jake more but its just not true i love them BoTH but jake cant stand up for himself, he does not have that many people mature enough to look at him clearly, while its clear that anyone who hates edward is just stupid and those comments can be easily dismissed!
sorry for the rant, and no one will probably read this anyway, but in case someone agrees with me or would like to debate further,

kassie, kallie, i think that for all you say about jacob being immature, you are very biased and immature about jacob, neither of you really consider his thoughts or feelings…wanting him to die if it wouldnt hurt edward or bella? that is mean! stephenie loves the character and .. yeah alot of your comments…disgusted me…i love your podcasts…i love this site…but it disapointed me…i am a very mature teenage girl and I think i see everybody’s point of veiw pretty clearly i think and such baised that it becomes mean sprited towards other characters is just….immature….
