Special Supporter’s Speculations Podcast ~ Week #17

May 6th, 2008 | By | Category: Podcasts

This week’s podcast was recorded live, in Frisco, while Kassie and I waited in line for tickets to go see Stephenie Meyer!  The sound is not great, but pretty good considering the fact that we were outside, and in a line with hundreds of people.  On this show we have help from some Twilight fans, we discuss your speculations and answers to the Question of the Week.  Later this week, I will try to have a Bloopers Episode up, with our reports through the night, more thoughts from the fans, and maybe some crazy outtakes!  This week’s music is I Thought About You by The Beautiful Girls.

So I totally just listened to this at work…which was a huge mistake because I could NOT stop laughing!!

    “Jacob is the underdog”
    and Kassie’s indecisive-ness lol

Poor Bella in dealing with Tanya and your explanations!! I’d feel the same way man!

You guys seem like you had so much fun! I’m tremendously jealous!

PS. Thanks for checkin up on me Kallie! 🙂 Made me feel special lol

I was in line behind you guys at B&N the other night and I just finished listening to your podcast and here is my theory:

I think that Jacob has already imprinted and he has imprinted on Bella. That is why she is attracted to him and that is why he wouldn’t give up on her. I also think that is the reason why she saw their life together. We know that he has told her that he hasn’t imprinted yet, but if my theory is correct, then he didn’t tell her b/c he knows it would only hurt her even more (or something noble like that-he’s got to have some redeeming quality). I also think that Edward knows since he can read people’s thoughts and that is why he let her kiss Jacob and let her freely choose. Edward is constantly trying to convince Bella that he is no good for her and knows that if she did choose Jacob that she would be truly happy. I don’t think that he did it b/c he was overly confident in her feelings for him. So that’s it…that’s my theory.

im still listening to the podacst, but….

What if Jacob was with Kim, the girl that–who was it, Embry?–imprinted on. That would be ANOTHER triangle. [1. bella, edward, jacob; 2. bella, edward, TANYA?; 3. Jacob, Embry, Kim; 4. sam, leah, emily]

I mean, if there are future books after 4, jacob is going to be v. important. so putting him against embry in a “battle for kim” might be interesting–but a little used. so jacobs torn between kim and bella while embry has this undying passioin for kim and it means war among the werewolves. [i hate jacob. i hope embry wins just b/c]

Big questions that is really bothering me from the show this week- please let me know the answer so I can sleep! 😉
You mentioned in the show that Stephenie said that Breaking Dawn will be written from a different/new perspective. What exactly did she say about this? Is the entire book not going to be from Bella’s perspective? You have me freaking out because that would change how we see everything in the end. I want some closure from Breaking Dawn and I think we can only get that closure from Bella’s perspective. Maybe you meant that she is writing a small portion from another perspective, like Jacob in Eclipse.
Please let me know what you meant. It’s driving me nuts.
Also, I am reading The Host right now and I just don’t think I will be in love with it like Twilight. How terrible is that? I am an adult and so The Host is meant for my ago group. But, I only want Breaking Dawn!
    Looking forward to your reply,
    Tava, 27

Just finish listening to your podcast, and I have a burning question, what is that about BD being in a deferent point of view I mean is it going to be other than Bella’s. No,!! that would ruin the wedding and the wedding night, ( I’m really really looking forward to that) where did you guys here this?!! anyways great podcast when would you post your question of the week?!!

  9. karly says:

how do you put the trailer on your iPod????????
PLEASE someone get back to me!!!!!!!!
    great job with the podcast!!!

  10. oly says:

I just finished listening to this week’s podcast, and I just thought i’d really love reading the book from Alice’s perspective.

  11. Kia Gregory says:

I LOVE all the help you got to read the supporter speculations…

And KASSIE, I totally know the tune that you were singing the “Supporter Speculations” intro to. Mm hmmm. And I heard Amy, I heard Amy!

Thanks for making the podcats interesting. And of course I agreed with all people that said bella will be a vampire and her ability will be that she will be immune to other vamps powers or take their powers…

    Cool y’all! Thanks.

  12. Tava says:

Also, I really think that Bella’s hate for the smell of blood is going to come into play if she becomes a vampire. I think being a “newborn” might be easier on her because she has an aversion to blood. Maybe feeding will be a chore for her.

  13. Carrie says:

I know that people have already commented about this, but I really had no idea that BD isn’t written from Bella’s perspective. Where did you hear about this???
By the way, I love your podcast!

  14. Thursday says:

I heard that BD was going to be written in a different persons perspective and i personally think it would be soo cool to have it in Edwards perspective because soo much goes through his mind. He can think faster then most people and you not only get his perspective but everyone else’s too (considering he can hear what they are all thinking).

P.S. Oh and this would also make the book longer considering he has so much to think about. And I deff want BD to last 🙂

P.S.S i’m loving the podcast keep up the great work.

  15. Thorn says:

Just listened to you podcast and thought it was great! I have a comment on whether or not a vampire can go back to being a human and how that would look. I don’t think it would be that difficult to convey. In other vampire storylines, the character just ages from that point on regardless of how long they had been a vampire. So, if they were 22 when they were turned and then “lived” for 300 years as a vampire before magically being turned back…then they’d just pick up at 22 and live the rest of their average 70 year life span.

    Just sayin’. 🙂

    Awesome podcast.

PS – Love the new shirts!!!!!

  16. Anna says:

I’m really looking forward to a podcast on Bella’s vampire power. My theory is that she could have the power to put ideas into other peoples’ minds, much like how Jasper can influence others’ emotional states, but maybe more permanent.

We know Bella’s mind is exceptionally strong and protected, so it is my guess that she would become even stronger in that respect to the point of being able to control others’ minds in a way. This would play off of Edward’s power, especially if he instantly knew when she used her power on someone… and how perfect would it be if he was the only one on whom she couldn’t use her power… even out their relationship, no?

Thanks so much for doing such a wonderful, fun podcast. I was waiting to find a podcast until I finished the series, which just happened to coincide with you all uploading onto iTunes.

  17. Imogene says:

I have heard in several interviews that Breaking Dawn will be the last book from Bella’s point of view. I went back and relistened to make sure, because I kind of went into a panic! Lol.
