umm that picture is kinda scary!! I dont think Edward is that pale and kristen has like a reddish tint in her hair during the movie

Please People…this is a sweet cover. From a design stand point I can see what they are trying to do. I think that it’s ment to be over exaggerated. Bella looks beautiful and Edward finally looks as pale as I imagined him in the books. Kuddos EW

Drooling fan girl talk over. I think the lipstick is what puts to picture beyond what most of us would imagine Bella to look like. But a very hot and extremely artistic photo.

it reminds me of the ‘classic’ vampire romance novel cover, only with more clothes and no fangs 😛
I don’t really think that this is supposed to be a pic of Edward/ Bella but more Kristen/Rob because neither of them have got their contacts in. Pretty dazzling ( 😛 ) photo though.
Hey, I think this is supposed to be a more theatrical picture… NOT keeping with their characters from the movie or books. I think it’s more of an exaggeration of the vampire/damsel in distress stereotype. If that makes sense…. A “glammed up” version of their characters, even.

I do not like what they did…why does he have blue eyes? I dont like it…I dont like it at all!
Hmmm… I saw this on another site and posted something about it. I dunnoe, it kind of grows on you after awhile. I thought that it was really… awkward and such. I stared at this for the longest time and yeah, it does grow on you once you give it a second glance. I can see where’s they’re going with it – the exaggeration, stereotype, and such. I really do think it is a pose between the actors and they’re interpretation of the characters, and not the actual characters . Does that make sense?
I just wish that they didn’t go crazy with the paleness on Rob – that was my only problem with it and that’s why I didn’t like it at first.
Everything else – the pose, KStew, the apple – gorgeous. 🙂 I’m really happy that a nationally recognized magazine is doing a piece on the actors and the book.

I actually thought Edward was more pale than that, but I guess that’s not humanly possible. I think Kristen or Bella looks absolutely gorgeous, but i’m not going to lie…..it’s not an attractive picture of Rob, he so much hotter than that!!

bella in the book is always refering to herself as the “plain jane” and edward as the “god” well, this picture, wonderful as it may be, kinda gets that backwards… spunk as the “plain joe” and kstew as the “goddess” haha

I kind of really don’t like it.
you know, there is this expressin in german called “Fremdschämen” – to be ashamed for something someone other than you did…. that were my first fellings towards this picture…but Kat’s right, after a while looking at it (in my case sneaking a peek and blushing ^^’) it kind of grows on you… hmm…but it’s nice to see I’m not the only one screaming “role reversal!!”
Apropos, am I the only one thinking Rob is the real-life Bella and Kristen is real-life Edward? Watched some videos of interviews yesterday and I never saw Kristen blushing or stumbling over words this much…. but I saw some interesting shades of red from our dear Spunk *laughs* yeah…totally not belonging into this thread but anyhow…just crossed my mind ^^’

My first reaction was “O my gosh, they’re on the cover of a magazine I subscribe to!!!”
Then I really looked at the picture. Eww! I can totally see the artistic style attempts of the picture, but they made Robert look more like a mannequin. And Kristen looks really pretty, though not Bella like. I’m sorry they made Robert look like that. He’s so good looking that it’s a shame not to show that.
Man, I really hate that cover, and I see it EVERYWHERE! I think that Entertainment Weekly really let a lot of fans down on this one. Edward looks like a hairy marshmellow pretending to be sexy. Bella looks like she’s totally out to lunch and just happens to be in Edward’s arms. What is the matter with her? If I was in Edward’s arms, I know I wouldn’t be staring off into space!
