April,love got me thinking…Everyone else said that Edward isn’t the ‘oops’ kind of persona and they are right. But, Bella is the type of person that would say ‘oops’. So maybe the other part of this wuote is missing like, Bella saying oops for like, I don’t know, kissing him too hard (again) and then Edward like mocking her…?
I really don’t think this paticular quote is anything to worry about though.

ok so my first thought…
Edward bites Bella, then remembers how good she tastes, and accidentally sucks all of her blood and kills her. that would be an “oops” indeed.
then my next thought was that during Bella’s final “human experiance” Edward gets carried away and breaks something like the bed, a lamp, Bella…
then i thought that maybe it’s at the wedding and Bella and Charlie are walking down the aisle, when of course, Bella trips and falls, but Edward runs full vampire speed to save her. Then a second too late, he looks up to see everyone staring at him because he has basically just revealed himself as a vampire. Then he says “oops”. But then, the Volturi come because they have to kill all of the humans at the wedding who know of their existence, but the Cullens, Denali, and werewolves in attendence all come together and save the day!!! huzzah
then i thought…maybe i need to get a life and stop thinking of random theories…

My theory is that edward said something that might have set someone off, like mike for example, or possibley even alice, who knows, but edward is NOT the type to just say oops if he does something terrible…so it probly is him just being sarcastic or something like that.
@Simone&Lena: I’m with you guys! I sooo hope that I’ll get my book by Monday 4th (I’m at the Wacken Open Air on August 2nd -_-‘ thank god my best friend is going there too, so we’ll have our Breaking Dawn release party there *laughs*) but my bookstore did magic a few times, why not with breaking dawn also…

First thing I thought of was something like that: Edward meets Jacob or somehow lets it slip to him how his first time with Bella was or sth l. t. – and then Bella blushes madly and/or hits him in the shoulder and he’s like : “Ooops, accidentally on purpose…” *insert crooked grin and dazzling eyes here* while Jake’s left fuming on the sidewalk…?
All of us will find out what the quote means in 11 days!! Chill out! Edward only said ‘oops’, it doesn’t need lots of analyzing.

ok i know most of you hate this quote, but this is quite possible my favorite one! because…it is so out of character for Edward that i can’t wait to find out what inspired him to abandon his perfect articulation!! in my mind it has to be something amazingly romanitc or funny!!!!!
Maybe Bella is changed and she doesn’t know her own strength yet and breaks something. Edward, is saying opps as reaction.
Maybe it has something to do with Bella and Emmett.
Edward saying ‘oops’ seems like him walking into Bella while she’s still in her wedding dress and not being sorry about it or something…
i’m not lying when i say that i literally “lol”-ed after i read this. it just seemed totally hilarious to me how after reading so many comments people have interpreted this. i hope that Marci or siren is right. hey, why not have both scenarios happen? ;D i also like to think that Edward gets carried away with Bella and then Charlie walks in. i know it will never happen, but a girl can dream right?
i sincerely hope that whatever happens will be comedic. i can’t picture Edward saying something like this without being sarcastic, seeing as he’s never said it before. and who knows? he could have punched someone in the face for all i care.
and about Edward kissing Tanya, i admit, it’s a possibility. however, i doubt he would end up saying something like this in that situation. to me, it would make more sense if he didn’t say anything at all.
*sigh* 11 more days. i don’t think i’ll make another 11 minutes…
to start, i agree with twilightgirl629.
if it was something really serious edward would have more to say or do about it. i think its probably said in a sort of sarcastic tone, sort of jokingly. he probably did something wrong that he’s sort of proud of or laughing about.
jacob comes to mind….maybe edward loses his patience, then gets reprimanded by bella but it wasn’t that serious and he doesn’t really feel bad….
Wait… I agree with ‘siren’… it’s definitely something sexual, not to be a perv or whaever, but it makes total sense. Bella has had a ton of ‘oops’ moments, so now it’s Edwards turn.
Or else I think that it’s something Edward and Bella are doing after she’s turned. Like Bella is challenging Emmett to a arm wrestling contest and then she ends up tossing him across the Earth or something. Then Edward says ‘oops’ as a joke.

That sexy vamp would NEVER respond that way to a serious mistake (If it was at all possible for Edward to make one) So, I’m thinking he got ‘carried away’ and made Bella faint or something… Or broke or saw something about the wedding… I dunno, but I hope its hilarious….

I agree with you. The first thing that came to my mind when I read the quote was that Edward got ‘carried away’ on the wedding night or something. Or , you know how Edward was always the one to pull away when Bella got carried away?? Maybe now he’s the one that gets carried away and Bella is the one to remind him that they have to wait, and maybe Edward got a little too far *blushes* and that’s why he said ”oops”. After all, he did want to break their ‘deal’ at the end of Eclipse… *blushes again*
Anyway, I can’t wait to finally find out why he said it!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

well i’ll have to say it is possible it’s something bad i mean maybe deep down edward might be an “oops” person but i definitely dont think it would be him trying to change bella and then sucking out her blood and my reasons are: he loves her to much, he’s already tasted her blood and was able to resist (in twilight he sucks out the venom james has released into bella’s body), he said in the last book that he is fine with the whole she smells so good thing because he’s felt what it was like to loose her and won’t let it happen again. oh and the him hurting jacob, it’s possible but i doubt it, it would hurt bella to much and no matter what she will love jacob always as she will for edward. oh and the tanya solution, once again it’s plausible but would edward say “oops” or quickly turn away silently and walk full speed away from her to think wat just happened through. one more thing how do we know edward and bella get married after all, how do we know if jacob comes back how do we know that the vulturi dont intercept on the wedding day find out about the whole thing between the werewolves and the cullens and decided to try and take them all down? whatever it is it’s driving me just as crazy but i do admit edward saying “oops” is a funny concept! and i dont think that it has anything to do with the other quotes, cause i think that SM might be taking just one favourite line from each chapter that will send every twilighter going crazy trying to find answers in a jumbled up riddle!
Edward, do something wrong? NO! Edward, being clumsy, NO WAY! This is totally out of character! The flawless Edward Cullen, make a mistake? NEVER! OK now that Im done being a weirdo, I have to assume it has to do with Bella because Bella (in all sorts of ways) makes him less controlled over himself.
My first thought was that he accidentally reveals to Renee or Charlie that he’s a vampire. The “Bells, we’re up to bat” quote had me a bit suspicious and this goes with it.
