Breaking Dawn Countdown, Only 11 Days Left!

Alright fellow Twilighters, I (Krystal), have been asked to start our staff countdown for the release of Breaking Dawn. Each day until the book comes out will be devoted to one of our staff members. They may decide to celebrate Breaking Dawn in whatever manner they choose, and this will also give you all a chance to learn a little more about us and our love for all things Twilight! I’m first up to bat, so please bear with me as I ramble on 🙂
*I am Team Edward, so my favorite books are Eclipse, Twilight, then New Moon
*I have sooo many favorite quotes from the books, but I particularly love when Edward says this to Bella in New Moon:
“Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars-points of light and reason. …And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.” Pg. 514
This is why they have to be together forever! I won’t accept anything less in Breaking Dawn! 🙂
*There are certain songs/artists I think about when I think of the series. Jeff Buckley is one of them, not only because he is my favorite artist, but because his voice is very ethereal and so full of emotion. I guess his song “Eternal Life” would be a good one. Maybe Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” for the meadow. Mindy Smith’s “One Moment More” for when Edward leaves Bella, and Rufus Wainwright’s “Go or Go Ahead.” LOL, I keep coming up with songs for New Moon, my least favorite. Oh well.
OK, I was going to add my favorite Twilight-related picture, but there are so many I love. I found this from NASA called “Aurora at Twilight!”
So now that you know a little more about why I love Twilight, I want to leave you all with a question.
Q: Which one of the vampires’ powers would YOU want if you were bitten? It could be anyone from a Cullen to a Volturi.

I would soooo want a mixture. I want Alice’s,Edward’s,the one were you can see realtionships(probally a handy one 2 have), and mabey Jane’s. Yes I know i said Jane but i think of it as if i were to be in a vamp war it would come in handy! I want to find out anything about try outs for NewMoon(if it is going to be a movie), because i want to be Jane or Hedi(sorry about spelling).

OoO… definitely the ability to control time. OR… OR… Edward’s ability to read minds. Combination of Edward’s and Aro’s would be absolutely lovely! LOL
That quote from New Moon is also my favorite quote in the entire series as well. There was so much feeling, so much love in those words. Wow. I loved it. Teared a little bit when I first read it. :]
Ha. That question is a hard one. If I could, I’d love to have both Alice’s, Edward’s, and Jane’s powers. That would definitely be the ultimate combination. lol
I think that edward by far has the best ability because it can be used for any reason like working out an enemies next move (unless its a werewolf) or just to keep you amused as we see Edward does in Midnight Sun when he’s eavesdropping on his classmates.
Of course with every power there are the down sides like maybe finding out something you don’t wanna hear by accident. It’s lucky for Edward that he’s found Bella; someone that he can’t read like everyone else.

I think I would want something along the lines of edwards. But I don’t want to hear it in my head 24/7. I would just want to say okay I want to hear so and so and then it comes into my head. But…
Also I think I might want Janes. Just so if like someone was hurting someone i love i could totally cripple them in pain and then that other person could get away or something like that.
i think i’d like edward’s power, it would be really cool to know what people were really thinking.
I think I would want… Edwards power, and the basic SPEED thing. I know EVERYONE is going to say they want Edwards power, but I think that mind-reading would be very useful in certain situations.
Well I wouldn’t want Edward’s power cause all you hear is peoples’ thoughts all the time, and it can get frustrating. (Has anyone seen Heroes? cause Parkman has a power like that)
I think Aro’s power (I believe he reads minds by touching people? Sorry if I mixed him up with one of his brothers) has it easier emotionally than Edward. Because he doesn’t have to hear thoughts 24/7, though, he has to have physical contact to actually read the persons mind.
However, I think I want Alice’s power the most. Yeah, the future is not set in stone, but it’d be nice to know when someone makes a decision what the outcome will be.
Still.. my answer might change once we find out Alec’s power in Breaking Dawn!!! Yay to 11 days left!
Ummmm well I agree with Laura H. I think Edward’s power would be the most useful. But I might want to be like Carlisle (not really a power…) and be able to resist human blood

Yeah that is a hard question. Edward has a really cool power because…how to put it….you can read peoples mind!!! I would also love to have Jane’s power; yes i know it’s weird how I say that but still you would never have to be afraid of someone if you had Jane’s power. So… I would want either Edward’s or Jane’s power.

All my friends tell me because of my voice and the way I am I would have jasper’s power, because they say that I can calm anyone down {not sure about that!} But If I could pick any power it would be Alice’s power. Because I do so many stupid things some times that I would to see it before it happens so I don’t make a mistake. So that would be the power I would chose.

I really would not want Edwards power cause it would be kinda depressing and i really don’t want to know what people are thinking.
If I had Jane’s power it would be AMAZING! lol I could really scare people.
And i’m 100% TEAM EDWARD—-see another good reason for having Jane’s power….to torture poor little Jacob.

I think it would be cool to have like Alice or Jasper’s power because like I love Edward’s but I think it would get kind of annoying hearing voices in my head and Jane’s seems kinda mean. But I will probably take this back after I find out what Bella can do and yes I am a very strong believer that she will have a power. My mom was trying to mess with me and just kept saying she is going to die ( and not be a vampire) and I like flipped out. I really need like mental help or something 🙂

I like Edward’s power, I like Alice’, I like Jasper’s… But I think the most effective one would be Jane’s.
I couldn’t live with Edward’s; you have to listen to so much voices you don’t even want to listen to.
Alice’ power is great, but, it could get too much? We all know, she already was watching too much at the same time…
And Jasper’s power isn’t much, but it is cool. If someone’s angry/upset, you could calm the person down.
But, yeah, Jane’s power is really the best. You can hurt people if they hurt your feelings or something ;D
Bella has to become a vampire. And I want to know her power – it has to be something really special.

I think I would really get annoyed with Edward’s power. And it would be hard to control Jasper’s.
I am going to have to go with Alice’s. It is very useful but I am not totally sure because if I could turn them on and off it would be nice….but if I just randomly saw things it would be sorta annoying.

If I had to choose a power I think it would be between Jane and Demitri’s power. I don’t know how many times I would love to mentally slap some random stupid person, lol. Then again, think of the bounty hunter you could be if you had Demitri’s power…lol..
I would totally want to have Aro’s power. To see the past, present, and future is really amazing in my opinion. I also like that he gets all of that in about 5 seconds. Isn’t that mind blowing? getting a lifetime of info in just five seconds.

That is a REALLY hard question!!!!!! I don’t know!!!! I think maybe Jasper’s power because even though it doesn’t get much love in the books it coul be reallllly useful. Like when you were battling someone you could just calm them down fast.
Edward’s power would SOO get annoying!! Alice’s power would be good, Aro’s power is cool but if you were tracking someone, per say, it would get annoying because you have to touch them to read their thoughts.
So, I would go with JASPER’S power!! (Sorry for the longish answer and….what IS Demetri’s power?!?!?!?)

My power : I would love to be able to survive without having to have blood at all.
Hands down, Edward’s power! Personally, I have the hardest time trying to comprehend peoples’ actions and personality. However, if I were able to read their minds, I think it would help me decide who I really should and shouldn’t associate with. If I had Edward’s power, my life would definitley be different, and I would most likely have a better understanding of everything. Even though it would get annoying at times, I think it would truly be worth it!
i’d want them all. LMAO. Esme, Rosalie, & Carlisle really don’t have any powers. which sucks. i mean Rosalie is MORE beautiful than the others so maybe that is her power, if you can really call that. but when i first glanced at the question i thought you asked (Which one of the vampires would YOU want if you were bitten? I would hate to have Edward’s power. As much as he thinks he wants to know what Bella’s thinking, it would be the death of any relationship, I reckon.
I would love Jasper’s power, because there are times when you just want to cheer someone up, and you can’t. Or stopping a fight – that would be useful. Or more selfishly to prevent your parents being angry at you!
Dealing with other people’s emotions as well as your own would be difficult but since I got depression a couple of years back I don’t really feel anymore. That’s why I love the books. I steal emotions from them, live through them.
Definitely Jasper’s then. What would I give to cry again?
i have always been interested in reading people’s mind, and yes, even before Twilight. xD just the fact that my man Edward can just makes it even more awesome and smexy… okay, i’m done, hehe.
also, Jasper’s power is quite cool. just thinking about standing in a room and how you can absorb the seriousness of situations. i would find that very resourceful, especially in tense situations. and making people feel a lot calmer in those kinds of debacles is sort of what i like to do anyway.
alice’s power is very troublesome, as you might remember in new moon. sure, the werewolves’ presence kinda screwed up her vision but it still can cause a lot of problems. plus, i like not knowing what’s going to happen next.
and Demetri’s power is tracking by using a person’s “voice” inside their mind, i guess.
so, again, reading minds would be my choice. <3
OMEC! I was hoping someone would ask this question. I’ve been talking to my friends about this for weeks and weeks!!!!!!!!! I would totally want Jane’s power! Becuase then I could mentally hurt people and no one would know I was doing it…

It’s very unique, and I think that even though it isn’t as significant as, say, Alice’s, it would have many, many uses. To tell you the truth, Edward’s and Alice’s powers seem more like burdens to me. Especially Edward’s. With Jasper’s power, you can choose whether to tamper with someone’s emotion, or simply let them be. I like that it doesn’t intefere as much…
Heh, maybe that’s stupid. But I DON’T KNOW! If one of the vamp’s had a flying power, or a talking to animals power, I would choose them. XD

Aro’s power, because hearing people’s thoughts would be cool, but i kind of don’t want to hear them all the time. lol
hmm, if i had to have a vampire’s power, i might want Jasper’s but less intense. So, instead of not having a choice and just being envelopped in other people’s emotions, i could choose one person to see what they’re feeling. does that make sense?
I also wouldn’t mind Rosalie’s beauty (which is sort of her power…) because i’m a shallow person and kind of value appearances 😛 I also identify really well with Rosalie, but that’s kind of unrelated….
But really, my ideal vampire power would be a sort of hypnosis…? We don’t know any vampires whith that power (yet) but i think it’d be really cool to be able to just turn on your magic hypnosis power and have someone at your mercy… 😀

I would want Jasper’s because then I can see what they are REALLY feeling, and then I can control emotions, which would come in handy sometimes.
And Caius or Marcus’ (because I don’t remembre which one) because I would want to know if I had a betrayer in my midst….
Maybe Jane’s too, because that would actually help, if anything happened, just stare them down, literally, and slowly back away while doing it.

I think Jasper’s power is most convenient. Edward’s is tempting, but I think it would get quite irritating (and sometimes awkward) to always know what people were thinking. The same goes for Alice’s, in my opinion. Rosalie’s beauty is tempting too, but even she admits in Eclipse that beauty like hers was sometimes a curse. I don’t neccessarily want brute strength like Emmett, nor Esme’s motherliness…
Maybe Carlisle’s compassion would be cool to have. As for the Volturi…I don’t want any of their powers. So yeah, I’m going to go with Jasper. 🙂

I would love to have all of their powers lol 😀 but if I had to chose one power it would have to be Alice’s power to see the future!!!! She has the advantage of knowing what will happen before it happens!!!!! Even though her powers don’t always work, I think they still are pretty cool lol 😀
I would want Jaspers Powers. As much as I would like to be able to read minds like Edward, I personally think munipulating emotions would be a better advantage. Plus its just easier I believe. I could munipulate a persons emotion to relax and then BAM!! Go right for my kill. he he he. Which would make my hunting so much easier. lol. And as for Alice’s powers, messing with the future just causes way to much problems.

Well I would say Edward’s power, but I think constantly knowing what people are thinking would get annoying and make u alil nutty after awhile. Advantage would be nice to know what your enemy is thinking of doing though. So I say ALICE. Would be nice to able to see the possible future, and save someone or help somebody…just to know how things will turn out and if u don’t like it just change them! Will also be interesting to see what Bella’s power(s) will be. Might want hers.
I’d love to have Jasper’s power. I’d put everyone at ease and there’d be world peace.

Seriously, yes, Jasper’s power. It’s amazing what good things can come out of relaxed and sane moods! No more decisions made by blinding negative emotions!
I would want the power to see relationships. This would fit my personality. I like to people watch and try to figure out relationships among people.

I thought i was going to be the only 1 2 say this, but Saoirse beat me 2 it *sighs so much 4 being origial* the power that i would want would be Marcus’s or Jane’s. Marcus’s because it would actually be helpful 2 know the relationships between people like how close they are or if they are traitors or future betrayers. And of course, everyone knows why i would want Jane’s power 🙂 If i had the chance 2 have my own though, i would want the power to confuse people and jumble their thoughts and seeing things my way, because that fits me perfectly cuz i already do that 🙂
I’m very sorry this is actually nothing to do with vampire powers but i comment regulary on the theories page 2 i know the last one broke and i think it may have happened again i’m not sure as it could just be my computer please tell me if this has happened to you to but if it hasnt then i will just have to figuire out why my computer hates me so much lol 🙂

EDWARD’S AND ALICE’S POWERS ALL THE WAY!!! lol.
My friend and I were discussing this at work a few weeks ago. Edward’s power would get on my nerves. It sucks enough to be able to tell when people are lying to me, no matter how convincing they are.
Alice’s makes the most sense to me, because it is something I’ve dealt with. I have a similar ability, mine comes in the form of precognitive dreams and insanely accurate gut instinct. And no, I’m not a vampire and I don’t tell people’s fortunes. The gift actually sucks quite a bit, but I’d still take it over listening to people’s thoughts any day.
