The Twilight Saga books center on a romantic triangle involving Bella Swan, a teenager who loves a vampire classmate named Edward Cullen, and her best friend, Jacob Black, a werewolf. “Twilight” appeals to fans, mostly girls, of two major genres — romance novels and paranormal fiction — and has increased interest in other series, including Richelle Mead’s “Vampire Academy” and Ellen Schrieber’s “Vampire Kisses.”
