This seems like a very sad quote guys, maybe he’s talking about not being able to bear himself when Bella’s around and how he can’t understand how Edward can fall in love with a human?? Idk im just really bummed now :[

Haha, I think he’s feeling Bella and Edward’s anxiety and excitement before the wedding. That or HE’S getting overly emotional about it. Haha.

Poor Jasper. Somehow I don’t think he’s being sarcastic or joking or anything. Either someone around him is suffering extreme emotional stress, or he’s talking to Bella about something. Jasper seems like someone Bella could talk to very easily, although I don’t think that’s the case. This quote is definitely meant to throw us off. Big time.

The way the Cullens speak is a bit old fashioned. perhaps he is using the word “bear” as in ‘to carry’…although, I can’t imagine anything that would be too heavy for him to carry???

The first thing I thought about was Jasper feeling Bella’s ease in front of blood (when she’s a vampire) because as far as I can remember that’s the one thing he’s ever had problem with….

Alice dying is the only possibility I can seem to think of. I guess another possibility is that he drank human blood or something by mistake and he can’t bear the diet 🙁 I hope not, I wouldn’t want Jasper to leave.

According to EW.com, today a spoiler was revealed and one part of it is that everyone wins, including Team Jacob. So I wouldn’t worry too much over this quote.

This one is probably completely different from what it sounds. SM is not J.K. Rowling; she wouldn’t have a whole bunch of main characters die. I refuse to believe that!
If Bella changes into a vampire, I think it could be during her change, and Jasper is feeling all the intense emotions… and maybe her emotions are hard for him to understand.

Helloo!! It doesnt mean that Alice died!! It could be during Bellas change because the venom is spreading and it feels like ur on fire… it could be a good thing meaning that bella will be changed!
if it is someone elses feelings that he’s sensing, then they’re feelings must be pretty damn strong!

omg, this is awful, i cant bare to keep having these kind of quotes thrown at me when the book is only 4 more days away, if alice dies, i have no idea wat in the world i will do….
*lets imagination run wild* Maybe Jacob is having an internal conflict, fighting his instinct to tear vampire Bella into pieces with his love for her. Maybe Jasper starts freaking out all Harry-Potter-and-his-scar-like, and because Jacob may be about to attack Bella, Alice or some one says “Jasper, you have to help [calm him]! Can you understand me?!” And Jasper could be like “I can’t understand! I can’t bear this!” That is the most far-off of all the theories here, but I just had to share it. =)
Has anyone considered that Jasper is not feeling someone else’s emotions? He is capable of his own! I think that he finds out that vampire Bella is “born” with an aversion to blood. Jasper feels bad because now he is the one with the blood problem. In eclipse he was betting that Bella would slip up a lot and Edward said that it would make Jasper feel better so that he wouldn’t be the worst one.

Yeah, but Morgan, why would Jasper freak out so much? he’s been the weak one for so long. just because Bella isn’t weaker then him dosn’t mean he can’t bear it.

I think he’s probably freaking out so much because he’s been hoping so much to not be weakest (think about it, it must be killing him!) and Bella’s got this NATURAL aversion to blood.
Well, it would be so unfair, since he and the other Cullens have struggled with it every single day for decades to get to where they are. The others may be vocal about it too, but Jasper suffers most.

It mentions in the spoiler that everyone wins even team jacob, but i think, when it says that, that it is reffering to the fact that team jacob may be mad that bella doesnt choose jacob but they are lucky SM is writing a fourth book at all, it then goes on to explain how the saga was almost wrapped up into only three books. So personally, i disagree with carissa, i would read less into the spoiler since it seems as if you are relying on soley that to determine the books outcome, and the rest of you, i wouldnt rely so much on the quotes! Dont you understand, SM chose the craziest quotes from the book and took them way out of context, and the spoiler, well, the only real point of that was to say that bella and edward were getting married. You have to realize anything SM says at this point is simply to confuse us and make us want to buy the book more so that we can understand. If i were you i wouldnt disappoint myself by making theories, usually the author turns out to be a lot more creative then you think, or simply goes in the opposite direction which most often leads to disappointment especially when your team jacob and you read too much into the quote from the spoiler “everyone wins, even team jacob”, what if that was reffering to the fact that the fourth book was written and not the fact that jacob really has a happy ending, wouldnt that be a disappointment??
I don’t think this is about alice… I think that jasper is simply undergoing a lot of emotions all at the same time and its confusing and hard to sort through… I’m sure this is fairly common for a big group of vampires or even werewolves…
If Alice died I think Jasper would be crazed, as in not able to get out a sentence. Especially one so normal as that. I would think that if something killed Alice he wouldn’t be talking but killing the jerk that did it.
If SM kills any of the Cullens she will have to go into hiding.
