Help Linsey!
Jul 28th, 2008 | By Kallieross | Category: Site NewsOk folks! Linsey is joining us on our voyage to NYC this week, and she thought it would be fun to hear from you about the trip! None of us have ever been to the Big Apple, and we want to know where to go for some fun night-life! Linsey is also struggling with making chioces within her wardrobe! To help her out with what to wear, click here! If you have some ideas for things to do in NYC, leave them in the comments!
oh, def get the city pizza! Delicious!
Shop! and def. visit Coney Island :]
i hope you guys have fun! cant wait to hear back!
I second the idea for going to Coney Island! I live near there and you can either go on the Cyclone and some other rides, hit the beach, or the aquarium.
Other good things to do: shopping,
~watching a Broadway show, if not go to Times Square anyway. it’s very busy, but the lights and signs look cool
~the parks are great- central park, etc.
~zoos- prospect park ,bronx, central park
~the wax museum
~the restaurants in nyc are so diverse. you can find anything!
I was wondering how long all of you are suppose to be in nyc?
Hopefully, the weather will be great here and everybody can have a nice pre-Breaking Dawn release day! Plus, if I come up with something more I’ll comment back.
hmmm… I live in NYC.
I suggest you go walk around St. Mark’s/Union Square area.
🙂
OMG yes coney island most definalty
try one of the hotdogs from the street vendors
try BROOKLYN pizza, its the best in the world
try china town
you have to see times square, its amazing
and go have tea at the plaza hotel, i did that for a fancy time and it was alot of fun
you can see a big painting of Eloise at the hotel as well (she’s a storybook character if you’ve never heard about her, if either of you have daughters im sure they will adore her so get the book there!)
just walk down broadway and see the lights, those alone will dazzle you
try it, its great
i hope you have fun!!!!!!!( take this advice from a true new yorker, every time you see the city, its gonna be a great expierience)
2 words. CANAL STREET!! Black market heaven. The “mother ship” for all women who love shopping and have a passion for fashion. Take no men with you because they will quickly closeup shop and disappear for fear of a police bust.
Depending on what time you arrive, you can take the Ferry ride to that Statue of Liberty, or a harbor cruise (especially if it is a HOT NYC day). There are fast boats out there that give you a great opportunity to see how fantastic the island of Manhattan looks from the water.
At night, agree with St. Marks, or Soho. Great galleries in Soho as well as awesome shopping and food.
Depending on what hotel you are staying in, there is always something to do no further than 2-3 blocks from your hotel; movies, theater, shopping, bars, restaurants, and live music.
My favorite place on the East Side is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Although not a *night spot* still a fantastic opportunity to see one of the worlds largest collections of art in one location.
Have fun and can’t wait to meet the team on Friday.

who is a native NY’ker
pizzzza pizzza! that’s one of the few things i remember LOVING about nyc.
ummm . . . there’s serendipity 3 for chow . i think it’s right by some AWESOME shopping, too, if i remember correctly.
times square . . . central park . . . OH! CHINATOWN! Lots of cool stuff there!! (Cheap souvenirs – LOL!)
I think 2 or 3
DEFINETLY see a broadway show!! My personal suggestion is Wicked, I believe it’s still showing in NYC. If not hmmm Hairspray’s good, and any of the disney shows are good too.
I’ll be with ya’ll part of the time, but I still have some suggestions:
Pizza is a must, my favorite is the Bread Factory on 7th Ave between 35th and 36th Streets.
5th Ave for splurge shopping. Or just window shopping. With stores like Tiffany & Co and Louis Vutton and Coach and many others it’s definitly fun to just look around. Stores are between 49th and 59th Streets.
Chinatown for F’oach bags and F’olex’s. And food.
I don’t think you can, but if you can, try and see a Broadway show. There is nothing like it.
Walk around Central Park if you can’t go to the zoo. Finding that amount of trees in the middle of the city is something to behold.
Rockefeller Center holds Radio City Music Hall and at 30 Rockefeller Center you can do Top of the Rock which takes you up to the top of the building to see the city. Shorter line than going up to the Empire State Building and you can actually see Empire that way as well.
I love museums, and three of my favorites in NYC are the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art.
Can’t wait for Twilight Live!
PS: Linsey, number 2 is my vote.

If I were you, I would wear #3 on your clothing list thingy. It will look great with your skintone.
Also, you must go to Times Square!
I have been to NYC 11 times (I live close enough to drive) and I go there every year.
Top ten things in NYC:
1.Definately go to Coney Island.
2.Get some authentic NY pizza (go for Brooklyn pizza).
3.See a broadway show in Time Square (I liked Hairspray)
4.St. Mark’s at night or Union Sqaure
5.I liked going to Central Park (warning: its REALLY big!)
6.Chinatown has really great food.
7.Serendipity 3 (try the frozen hot chocolate and the foot-long hot dog)
8.Take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty
9.Just walking through Broadway and seeing the lights
10.And usually there’s a good restaurant or entertainment a couple of blocks from almost any hotel.
And if you just ask around then many people will give you their opinions on where to go for a good time.
So, I hope you guys enjoy NYC!
I have never been to NYC, but I live in LA. You MUST try Pinkberry!!! It’s absolutely addicting and is only in LA and New York.
she should totally wear the shirt with the red in it from anthropolgy. it matches the pants, *and* it has that creme color like in that fabulous hat. love it! good choices, linsey
You should definately try to get to a boradway show. I recommend Hairspray. Also, you need to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, they’re national treasures and are great sight seeing places.
Loving all your comments and clothing selections!! 2 more days till NYC!!!
I totally lived there for a month, but I lived in Queens, so I missed out on a lot. All I did was hit some museums (the Guggeheim!), pretend I was in “When Harry Met Sally” in Central Park, and eat a hot dog.
Go see Wicked,Chicago,Legally Blonde, and Rent ( but if you go see Rent hurry cause it is closing very soon)
So my pick is from best to worst, although there isn’t a worst cause they are all so stink’n cute!!!! Love them! I like #2, then #1, then #3…I am taking the pants into consideration and think #2 will look amazing all together!!! Love you! Are you going to let everyone know what you decided???
uhm if you like sushi go to a place called haru near the hard rock cafe. they have a-m-a-z-i-n-g sushi. also, you should reeeaaalllyyy go to the espn zone if you gey a chance. its really fun, plus they have amazing food there. erm… definately go to times square… erm… go to macys. its really expensive there but they have nine escalators and its soo fun to just like, ride up and down the escalators. hahha. erm… yeahh… have fun!!!
OH and battery park. soo fun.
Hey ladies!!
You have so many great suggestions above but I wanted to include one simple addition:
Beauty Bar on 14th St. between 2nd and 3rd Ave is a great place if you want to go dancing! The music is a great mix of 80’s and recent hits and there’s always a good crowd. And right next door is a pizza place that gives you a free slice with every beer you buy.
Soooo, for all of you old enough to get in, I’d try those places. Have a great time!
I will have to keep in mind the Beauty Bar…thanks Halley!
Kas, of course I will let them know what I decide…that is what my Kodak Easy Share is for! All of our hot behinds will be plastered, shamelessly, on my blog!
