Jacob + Nessie = Jassie

For this week’s Question of the Week we wanted to ask you a question about our celebrity couple Jassie!
How do you feel about Jacob imprinting on Renesme? And, as a personal favor… when did you figure out Jacob had imprinted?

omg when i found out which wasnt until i read that part, my draw dropped open. i was not expecting that at all. its cute and a little weird. i love that jacob now has someone to love that shares that same feeling for him as well but also now that we know shes not one of a kind and she will be fully grown in like 7 years i think it will be a little weird that when jacob is in his twenty’s or older that renesmee will look like she’s only in her tween years

When I red Breaking Dawn I had already been on Stephenie’s website and read confirmation that Jacob hadn’t imprinted on Bella. So imediatley I was thinking well who will he imprint on. Now I must admit I did know about Renesme before I red about her in the book, although this was completely by accident. I was on wikipedia and I was looking up how to prenounce Rosalie, Carsile and Esme because I am english and only 15 I had not heard these names before. However when I got to the bottom of the page I saw the name Reneesme and I thought that I couldn’t have missed the fact that there was another main character. In england the release date was 2 days behind the US and I forgot about this until it was too late. All I read was that she was Edward and Bella’s daughter. Now I must admit this did ruin the story a bit for me but it also got me thinking.
It took me about 3 days to work out the fact that Jacob would imprint on her. At first this annoyed me becasue I thought it was so cliche that it would make the whole thing very cheese, the woman I have fallen in love with has had a child with my longest non-living enemy and then when the child is born I no longer have eyes for anyone other than her. But by the time I got to this point in the book about 3 hours later i was pleasently suprised that it wasn’t as cheesy as I thought it would be.
The fact that Jacob had imprinted on a new born baby didn’t repulse me in the way I thought it would. It irrated me from the point of view that by the time that Bella came round Jacob had a better relationship with Renesme then Bella did. It also annoyed me that he would be such a crucial part of her life from such a young age becasue in my opinion those first few years should be between the parents and the child, not the parents, the future lover and the child. To me this seemed like a huge imposition to plant on Bella and Edward. But when I saw the fact that Jacob wasn’t going to be as stubborn as he usually is about this sort of thing, I sort warmed to the idea that Renesme would always have someone to look after her and not only that but all of the people in her life loved her more that anything else in the world. I also liked the fact that this would allow Edward and Bella to get on with their lives without Jacob stirring things up with Bella. Finally they had all found their place in the strange and entriging family we call the Cullens.
When I first figured out that Jacob imprinted on Renesme I just sat there mouth hanging open in complete shock. I had definitely not seen that one coming. Once I got over the shock I had mixed feelings about the situation, I was glad he had found someone to imprint on, but at the same time I had always expected Jacob to stay in love with Bella and that it should stay that way. By the end of the book I had still not gotten completely used to the idea but it made a lot more sense.
One thing i forgot in my previous comment was the fact that i realized that Jacob had imprinted on Renesme after he saw her for the first time when Rosalie was holding her. Sorry Kassie.
I think its horrible that Jacob imprinted on Renesme. Bella and Edward don’t need Jacob to continue being in the middle of their relationship. He should have moved on to someone else a long time ago. I figured out he imprinted when I read the last words on the last page of Jacob’s book. When he said he couldn’t look away, I knew he had imprinted and I felt sick to my stomach afterwards.
Honestly, I REALLY do not like jacob. I mean, he was kind of sweet before the whole werewolf thing, but now he is just so arrogant and irritating. I hated how he acted at Bella and Edward’s wedding, and it just bugged me. When I found out that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee, I was SO ANNOYED! Renesmee was just an innocent baby and she belongs with her parents. And besides, Edward hates Jacob, and now he is tied to her for as long as Renesmee lives. I also hate the nickname “Nessie” and I feel that Bella was totally justified in her reactions….I just hated seeing Seth get hurt…..he’s so sweet. While I do understand that it was “involuntary”, he could do a little better in trying to control himself. Renesmee should know what was happening and she was too young to have this happen.
So there’s my ranting!
Are you guys dense or something? I knew Jacob had imprinted on Renesmee instantly. I don’t really care, because even if we feel its weird (I don’t thinks its weird…for shape shifters like Jacob) the supernatural world is differently…and also… GET OVER IT!!! Breaking Dawn was a very good book, and the Jacob part (especially, the preface, chapter titles, blond jokes, etc.) was really funny. Wish she would write how things turn out, instead of just dropping it there.
Well ppl get a life we would love to see Jake and Nessie together ,
Okay, am i really the only one who has thought about this? Nessie can only grow up to be 7 years old. How can that possibly be a happy ending for either her or Jacob? Stephenie created a wonderful ending where everything ties up nicely except for the Jacob and Nessie relationship. Jacob has no choice on his love for Nessie and he will forever be in love with a child and will always be more like a parent/guardian then a romantic relationship. I wish Stephenie had put a little more thought into that and at least allowed her to grow until the age of 16 or 17. My overall thoughts is that it sucks to be Jacob. In fact, this ending made me not so in love with the series anymore.
is jacob immortal? i read in book 4 that he is but his ancestors are dead and they were able to shape shift….i am confused…
okay what is imprinting? i just got to there part where bella is attacking jacob because he imprinted her baby…

first of all I was like whats happining to bella at first when she was sick from chicken and thats when i knew! I still don’t know why edward was over reacting. But when i read the line ” That’s when i lunged for his throat” i simply died but when the fight was going on and Resemee was going to leave with jacob I knew it wasn’t going to happen but when Bella was holding her shield i knew she could do It!

Okay soo… It sort of creeped me out, the whole imprint thing, but when I heard how its like peter pan, it makes more sense :D.
I wish that Bella and Edward spent more time with Renesme though.

I think it’s an interesting twist that he imprints on Bella’s baby. Plus, if he wanted to be with them forever, he could just stop getting older and live for ever with them!
I didn’t figure it out until my friend [[who had finished the book be4 me]] told me. I was just saying I was finished with Jacob’s point of view and she said “So you know that he imprinted on Renesmee” and she spent like 5 minutes explaining it to me =)
**This is just an add on but i think Rosalie is mad because she probably thought that Bella would not be able to be around the baby for a few years so she’s get to raise the baby like her own and it turned out that Bella could be around her.**
I am so glad that Jacob imprinted on Nessie. I love Jacob, but it made me so mad how him and Bella loved each other so much. I couldn’t figure it out. Then when I found out, it made perfect sense. Because they are both in each other’s lives, but Bella and Edward are together and now Nessie and Jacob are. I think they’re a perfect match. I found out at the end of Jacob’s POV that he had imprinted on her. During the part where he is talking about the balloon strings being snipped and he has no more worries, I knew. Because it fit in perfectly after what Leah told Jacob about imprinting.

i did not like that he imprinted on her jacob is a stupid freak!!!!!!!!! i figured out he imprinted on her right before the book said it. it was kinda easy to figure out
I think its good that Jacob found someone. At first I was like he’ll inprint on someone but no one anyone knows. Then when the started talking about how he planed to kill the baby I knew he was going to inprint there was no way that Bella’s baby was going to be killed. I like the name its unique and fits her. The only thing I have a problem with is the nickname. Nessie just doesn’t sound right. Also I think Leah should inprint on someone its only fair. Jacob got out of his pain why can’t she?

i think its cute that jacob imprinted on nessie(he he… i dont call her renesmee). i figured out he was goin to when he said he looked at her and she was way more alert than a normal newborn… it kinda hinted when he couldnt leave and when rosalie had her he felt something pulling him downstairs and he knew it was the baby, hut he thought it was for a different reason
lol i know its a bit late 🙂 but i couldn’t help letting a comment,because i saw sone told Nessie would be 7 yrs.well in fact she’d grow during 7 yrs (about) and then stop.but she would look like a “teenager”.like nahuel 🙂 fast growing

OMFG that is DISGUSTING!!!! I want Jacob to have a love interest but not on a little girl!!!! That’s pedofile-ish,sick,and just plain desperate. Maybe when she gets older but hell to the NO at such a young age. Isn’t Jacob supposed to have a growth spurt and be like 25 in BD?? WTF?! Imprint on women, not half human, half vampire little girls. Its sick as fuck. That’s just my opinion though, so if any1 attacks me for stating MY OPINION, I will hurt u.
