Jacob + Nessie = Jassie

For this week’s Question of the Week we wanted to ask you a question about our celebrity couple Jassie!
How do you feel about Jacob imprinting on Renesme? And, as a personal favor… when did you figure out Jacob had imprinted?

I’m only answering the second part.
I didn’t realize that Jacob imprinted on Renesme until Bella started screaming at Jacob. I was the same as Kallie…. I just thought that Jacob was so inamoured with how much she resembled Bella. I felt really stupid when ANOTHER podcast came out and said “Well, who wouldn’t know that Jacob imprinted on Bella at that point?” Well, I didn’t. And it wasn’t becase I was stupid, it was because it was my first read through the book and I was reading so quickly that I brushed over some of the finer points. In my second reading of the novel, I got how Stephenie was trying to hint at what had happened with her word choice.
P.S. This was my first episode so if I got the names wrong, I’m sorry.

The main thing I love is that Jacob gets a part of Bella 🙂 (yes it’s kinda creepy, but love is blind XD Or in this case…fate)
and also Renesme has the same feeling of love for Jacob

well it took some time getting used to…but I actually like Jacob and Nessie now. At first I really wanted to kill Jacob…I mean he just had to ruin the best thing ever! But now I’m used to it. I realised he imprinted when he was desribing it.

Ok, Ok, Ok, I love Jacob & Reneseme together. Love it! When he imprinted I was freaking out & yes, Kassie, I got it. Sorry. I do know of others not getting it as you did, so don’t be too bummed.
I love the fact that they are genetically, perfectly compatible being completely different beings. I like that Jacob got his happy ending & it makes it so much cooler to know that it’s not with Leah or some ordinary girl in a park. They are going to make super babies!
i loved that he imprinted on her because i wanted him to imprint just so that we weren’t left with a kind of dot dot dot thing when nothing happens with jacobs love life. and it would have been random if he had imprinted on someone random because of how much he loved bella so i thought this was a great way to tie that up. i knew when they told us.
Personally, I love Jessie. I think they’re so cute together. I lovede when Renesmee was showing Bella images of Jacob and she made them all posesive. I don’t think it’s creepy or anything like that, and it’s really adorable when they go hunting together!

I think that its cute but strang that it actually happened. But, they’re happy together and i guess that all that matters.But I’m still glad it happened! Just surprised.And i didn’t know Jacob imprinted on Nessie until bella asked.I didn’t really think it’d be possible so i didn’t put it under consideration.
I thought it was very sweet when Jacob imprinted on Nessie. I didn’t think it was at all creepy. I think it works out out very well in the end because Jacob needs to stay with Bella and be, not only her best friend, but part of her family too, and as he has imprinted on Nessie this will keep Bella close to Jacob.
Also, Jacob imprinting on Nessie gave her more protection when it came to the Volturi, that way someone was always looking after her.
And I figured out that Jacob had imprinted on Nessie when he described how he felt when he saw her with Rosalie at the end of his P.O.V section.

I felt like Bella when Jacob imprinted on Renesme (OMG do i ever hate that name!!! sorry Stepheinie i loved the rest of the book though) the way staphenie meyer writes it makes you feel the same things as Bella, So I felt like a mother that just learned that your duaghter was going to spend the rest of her life with a guy that you love, and kissed! When did i learn, well when i read the last page of book 2 i was like what??? so i read it like 5 times and I still was did he imprint??? i wasn’t sure.
But then when I was back in Bella’s POV I figured it out when Jacob was being very protective.
”’Then i went back to read the last page of Book 2 and i realized that’s what she ment, it was a nice way to put it but i still wish she just said and JACOB IMPRINTED it would have been so much easyer!

At first I was kinda mad that he did. I thought it was wrong of him to do that, but the more I read Breaking Dawn the more I accepted it. I figured out that he imprinted on her when my sister told me, I mean I read the last page of his POV, but it didn’t click in my head at the time, you know? When my sister was reading it she was like “You do know he imprinted on Renesmee, right?” I was like “What?!?! Really?” and then I read the last page in his POV and it suddenly made since. Hahah. I’m kinda slow. 😛
Okay lol. You can call me a ditz or a dumb blonde (because I am a blonde haha) but, I didn’t figure it out until Bella started yelling at Jake. Me and my friend had been reading in bed all night and all of a sudden she said “Wow I can’t believe Jake imprinted on Renesme.” Shocked, I put my book down and screamed “WHAT?! my friend looked at me funny, laughed in my face and said I was slow because I hadn’t figured it out yet. I was mad at her at first, but got over it quickly because I wanted to finish the book. I think I missed it just because I was speed-reading to try to finish it.
I do like Jassie. I think that it makes since. It was the reason Jacob was so in love with Bella, the reason he just couldn’t let go. Plus, it’s an awesome solution to keep Jacob in the family.
One more funny story, I was in the waiting room of my parents doctor’s office, waiting for them to come out so we could leave. I was listening to the podcast, when Kassie and the whole hanging up the phone thing happened. I started cracking up in hysterics. All the elderly people were looking at me like I was completely insane. Oh well LOL!!! Love you guys!!

To start out with I have to say I adore you Kassie, and you make me smile every time you open your mouth on the podcast. I can see how you might not have realized what was going on at the end of Jacob’s book. It’s easy to read in a hurry and not let the details fully sink in. Especially when so much craziness is going on in a book. That being said, I actually figured out that Jacob was going to imprint on Renessmee when Carlisle was talking with Jacob about the number of chromosomes that werewolves and vampires have and how he figured the baby might have 24 pairs, like Jacob does. My suspicions were then confirmed when Jacob no longer felt the pull to be around Bella when Rosalie took Renessmee downstairs right after she bit Bella. Stephenie was very clever throwing in subtle hints like Jacob suddenly feeling gravity pulling him downstairs, and having him assume that it was because Bella had died, when really it was gravity pulling him towards Renessmee. I was just praying he would see her face before he went on his killing rampage that he was planning on the way down stairs.
I was so happy for Jacob that he imprinted on Renessmee because it set his and Bella’s friendship back on it’s proper axis and made sense of the irrational need they’ve always felt to be part of each other’s lives. It didn’t creep me out at all because Stephenie was wise and eased us into it by having the Quil/Claire story line. With her otherworldly wisdom Renessmee already understands that Jacob belongs to her, so I think it will be even easier for her to accept than it will be for Claire. When Renessmee shows Aro her thoughts and he gets greedy over the wolves, Edward sees what Aro saw in Renessmee’s mind and has to correct Aro’s line of thought because in her mind Jacob “belongs” to her and Aro thought that meant the wolves “belonged” to the Cullens. I can’t wait to see if Stephenie continues the saga with the story of Jacob and Renessmee. They’ll have such an amazing life and I bet they’ll be hilarious together. Plus, you know that Edward and Bella would be around even if they were just side characters. I’ll take whatever Edward and Bella I can get.

I still think it’s weird. I had a weird reaction to this entire book. I didn’t want him to imprint on the baby. Not because it is weird to imprint on a child, but because i wanted so much more for Jacob.
I obviously will live with this, as this is not my story to tell. But I really wanted my Jacob to find somebody else.
But because i do have to live with this nonreality…. Jacob loves that little girl, and he plays with her.
but hmmmm still don’t want it.

Oh and yes i knew at the end of Jacob’s book that he imprinted on her.
I talked to my friends that were barely a head of me in reading and they did not catch it, so no worries Kassie.
I actually like Jacob and nessie’s relationship. yeah at first you have to get used to the fact that Jacob has imprintedon a toddler but after you get accept that then it kind of seems normal, if you now what I mean. I like and at the same time hate that Jacob is overly protective of nessie. It’s great that he cares so much about her that he would anything for her but he should at least give her some space.
now for the second question, well some people might not believe me but -before I even read Breaking Dawn- one day when I was hearing one of your podcasts I suddenly got the idea of Jacob imprinting on Bella’s and Edward’s child. I really don’t know what gave me the idea but I was so confident about it that I was about to post a comment about it to see what other people thought about it. But then when I remembered about what stephenie said about vampires not being able to have children my theory went flying out the window. So when I started reading Breaking Dawn and I realized the Bella was pregnant I was like “OME my theory could actually be true.” once I found out that Bella was pregnant I just could put the book down because I was dying to see if my theory was right. once I got to the end of Jacob’s book I practically wanted to jump for happiness when i found out that Jacob had just imprinted and on Bella’s and Edward’s child. So yeah that was a very happy day for me. 😀

I was totally shocked when I realized that he had imprinted on her. I thought it was nice that he found someone but I also thought it was to much. I can’t say much because I have read the whole book and a lot of my opinion came from something that happened later on. Well thats my two cents. Great job with the podcast. I love it!!
For some odd reason I don’t find it weird that Jacob imprinted on Nessie at all even with the fact that she’s just a baby. In my opinion I think it’s so much better that Jacob imprinted on Bellas daughter than still being involved with Bella herself. Being the daughter of Bella, Nessie will probably have a lot of the same personality traits as Bella, plus she already loves Jacob. Maybe not in a romantic way… yet, but as family and as she gets older she will start seeing him as he sees her. Nessie is lucky in a way because she already has someone she can ALWAYS count on to be there for her and love her. And Jacob now has someone like Bella has Edward without completely cutting Bella out of his life.
And yeah…i totally knew that Jacob imprinted on Renesme at the end of “his” book.

I’m very torn on the whole Nassie thing. On the one hand, i was a diehard team edward, who liked Jacob but wanted him to imprint on somebody, ANYBODY who wasn’t Bella. And well, isn’t that what happened? At the same time though, Bella’s daughter, seriously? It’s almost too happy ever after. I do like the idea of Jacob being in Bella’s forever in a way other than brooding reject, but I am unsure if I really want him with her daughter. Their relationship sort of took away from the father-daughter relationship between Edward and Renesme which me and my fangirly ways really wanted to see more of. In the end though, beggars can’t be choosers, and it is sort of fitting, isn’t it? Jacob wasn’t ever going to get Bella, but in a way he still got her best parts, only in her daughter instead of her.
I did catch the whole “OMG he Imprinted” thing right away… it was like three AM? My book ended up across the room. My friend didn’t catch it though, and when I called her to “omg” caucuss about it, I did end up in trouble. =[]
I thought it sort of made sense. It was like the whole Jacob, Bella relationship had finally come full circle. They said in Eclipse that Jacob would have ended up with Bella had she not met her destiny with Edward. Doesn’t it make sense that he would end up with part of her? She couldn’t give him her heart, she had already given that to Edward. But when she has a child of her own, destiny stepped in for Jacob, too. I understood how it worked, so I didn’t find it creepy. I agree with Vicky though, more Edward-Renesmee stuff would have been great.
I knew right away when I read the end of Jacob’s book (sorry Kassie, though I’m sure plenty of people didn’t figure it out.) and I was thinking about it when we found out Bella had a girl, because I really thought the baby was going to be a boy and when we found out it was a girl I was thinking of different reasons it might have to be a girl and Jacob imprinting came to mind.
I was really happy for Jacob when I read it, because while I’m 110% Team Edward, I did like Jacob and really did want him to end up happy. Plus I love how it allows Jacob and Bella to fit into one another’s lives without actually being together. a
I also loved how Stephenie kind of set us up for it when we found out about Quill imprinting on Claire, so it showed us how it’s not really that weird when a werewolf imprints on a younger girl because they are only into being what the girl needs them to be at the time.
I realized that Jacob had imprinted right when he saw her downstairs and he talked about the strings and what not being all connected to her (one point in the world). When I re read the book it seems like Bella was attached to him during the pregnancy because of Renesmee that’s just my thought. I think it’s cool that he imprinted on her so now he will always be apart of their family but is over bella and she’s over him. But I have some concerns because I thought they only imprinted on tribe girls like only from the couple tribes around them or something. That was mentioned in one of the books. And they imprint on people who will help them carry on the genetic line so does that mean Renesmee can have kids and if so i wonder what they would be hmm…. Anywho…. I liked their relationship it’s cute but I agree with some of the other people i didn’t like how it seemed to take away from Edward being with his daughter. It was like Renesmee loved Bella and Jacob the most then Edward and so on… I wish they had showed more daddy daughter time. So many thoughts but i’ll leave it at that for now.
I saw the whole imprinting coming on early because Stephanie keeps giving little hints but I didn’t totally believe it until the birth of Renesmee. If you remember Edward gets a little jealous when Bella always seems so happy whenever Jacob comes around and I don’t remember what page but Jacob says he wishes that he didn’t feel such a gravitational pull towards Bella. Keyword gravitational! This is when the idea popped in my head but I didn’t think it was a good possibility until page 355 when Jacob said, “I knew it was too late. I knew she was dead. I knew it for sure because the pull was gone……Or maybe moved was the better word. It seemed like I felt the pull from the opposite direction now.” After that I was like no way he is going to imprint on Renesmee and everything was confirmed at the end of the chapter. Even though I saw it coming it still shocked me just like the whole first half of the book did. Everytime I would be like no way is she going to go there and low and behold she did.
P.S. Kassie don’t feel bad my friend did the exact same thing. She called me after the book of Jacob wondering if Jacob had killed Renesmee or not since it moves back to Bella. I told her to read the last two pages again very carefully because something big happens. She read it over the phone and then it dawned on her and then she freaked out of course. A couple days later she said she had a friend that got totally confused at that part too. So Kassie you are definitely not alone.

I guess we both just thought that it was so unreal we didn’t even bother to think of it. Kallie and Lindsey need to be more nice. 🙂 I thought it was sooo funny when kassie hung up!!! At first I truly hated the idea… first thought was ” ew shes a newborn…sick”. But that I kept reading I started to enjoy it. Nessie’s development is so rapid that my first reaction faded because I started thinking of her as an adut…or at least a teenager.
I know in my heart of hearts that this would happen as soon as we were told that Bella was prego. I was reading with a friend and I asked her ” Wouldn’t it be awful if Jacob imprinted on the baby?”.

moment becuase when i read that Quil had imprinted on a two year old, i broke the chair i was sat on i laughed so hard!
I think in some ways its a relief becuase i was so sick of Jacob going on about Bella, it was like…..GET A GRIP AND MOVE ON MAN! lol
I started to realise that Jacob had imprinted on Renesmee when he saw her for the first time and i cant remember the exact words but it was like……duh duh dun dun!
and at that time it was just a thought in the back of my mind, i was like…….’surely not, no way, there is no way stephenie would be so……no way.’
and then when it went back to Bellas story and she was like
‘the way he looked at her, was like he had seen the sun shine for the first time….’
and thats when i knew 🙂
and i suppose that gives Edward and Bella more ‘alone time’ shall we call it 😉
I just find it funny how Jacob thought it normal but strange when Quil imprinted on Clair but he imprinted on…well tequnically speaking a 1 year old lol

I thought it was really cute. I never really thought it was creepy though, SM explained in an earlier book that there wasn’t anything romantic about it, Jacob would be whatever Nessie needed: a big brother, a best friend or a soulmate. And I was happy too that Jacob imprinted on someone.
BTW, I figured out that he had imprinted on her at the end of the his book. Sorry Kassie =]
I think it’s really deep, because of how Bella say’s she knows that she loves Edward but somehow she feels she needs to be near Jacob. It’s like fate, because something inside her needs Jacob, and in the end it’s Renesmee that needs Jacob. I think it’s so cool!
I kinda thought it was going to happen when Jacob felt no draw to Bella anymore, he felt drawn downstairs…to where Renesmee was. (So i knew at the end of Jacob’s book)
I don’t find it creepy because he doesn’t see her in a romantic way, he just see’s her as the centre of the universe which is just so sweet!!
When i read it i was just like:….”OMG WOW THAT IS SOOOO DEEP! I LOVE IT!”…..haha and atleast this way Jacob has someone to focus on so he’s not all alone anymore and he can fit in with the Cullen family wich i’m so pleased about because i really wanted Jacob and Bella to stay friends!!

Jacob imprinting on Renesmee is a little weird, but I’m just so happy for him that he finally found his happy ending. Renesmee seems to accept him and she loves him so i think when the the time comes, they’ll make the perfect couple. Also, I feel like it was meant to be that Jacob imprinted on someone related to Bella, because they were such inseperable friends, and it would have been horrible for their relationship to be shattered. Jacob originally being “in love” with Bella I believe was just a delusion because he problably just gravitated to her in the first place because she eventually would give birth to his soul mate. Don’t get me wrong-Jacob really did love Bella, however he imagined his romantic love for her.
I pretty much knew Jacob was going to imprint on Renesmee, when he said he felt a strong pull to go downstairs. He thought it was because he wanted to leave, but it really was because that was where Renesmee was.
I never saw that coming. I was so mad about all that was happening with Edward begging Jacob to get Bella pregnant and all the events following with Bella giving birth that I was just in shock and I thought just like Kassie that he was seeing Bella in Renesmee and his life was making sense because now he had a new family memeber. I just never thought something like that would happen so I just never even gave it a chance to happen. Kassie its okay!!! I didn’t realize it either!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Jacob imprinted on Renessme, I felt relieved. He didnt have to suffer anymore and Bella was free to live out her life. It felt like his story could continue to exist without romantically loving Bella, which as a Team Edward member I was grateful for. I also felt that he was finally being rewarded in a way for protecting Bella all this time. I have to admit the thought of a teenager imprinting on a baby is still kind of creepy, though. But he does just act like a big brother to Renessme and Bella truly is grateful for that….well at least towards the end!
I had a sneaking suspiscion that Jacob had imprinted at the end of Book Two, but I wasn’t really sure until Bella figured it out in her book. But then all of it made sense, especially the way Edward and Jacob were acting around each other when Bella first wakes up. All in all, I believe that Jacob imprinting on Renessme was a vital twist to the story which allowed Jacob a chance for happiness along with Bella and Edward.
Kassie, I just got done listening to episode #30 and don’t blame you for being upset about the beans being spilled. I’m on your side because I totally didn’t get that Jacob imprinted until Bella realized it and lost her cool. I think I was just zipping through the book so fast that it just wasn’t registering. You’re not alone.
i think jacob imprinting on nessie is a really good idea, leah was right that if he imprited on someoe else jacob wouldnt have to suffer about bella, and i didnt realize until bella figure it out that jacob imprinted on nessie which made the last paragraph of book 2 make sense, but i think both nessie and jacob are sooo adorable and jacob can be a part of bella without being hurt all the time and i love it
I have to say that the whole baby storyline totally through me for a loop. I read all 4 books back to back (for the first time…I’m a new fan!) and I was not expecting Bella to get pregnant. Once I got over the shock of that, it seemed almost anti-climatic that Jacob imprinted on Renesme. I kinda expected it (if the baby was gonna be a girl) and my thoughts were confirmed at the end of Jacob’s book.
(on a total sidenote: Renesme?? really? this was the name? ick! the middle name Carlie would’ve been better! the name was so distracting to me and then the nickname, Nessie…cringe, nails on chalkboard annoying!!!)
Anyway, I think SM setting up that Quil imprinted on a 2 yr old kinda paved the way so it didn’t seem as weird that Jacob basically imprinted on a fetus! =) Not sure if I really have much of an opinion because the Jacob storyline just didn’t resonate with me like it seems to with others. (I’d rather read about Edward & Bella) So whether Jacob imprinted or not, I really didn’t care. Although I suppose it makes for a tidy ending and happily ever after…and I do love a happy ending!
Breaking Dawn was the end of the story from Bella’s perspective, but I wonder if SM doesn’t write future books possibly from Renesme’s perspective?! It’s an interesting thought. I’d be more inclined to read them if they’re not from the perspective of anyone in the werewolf/shape-shifter clan. Vampires are just so much cooler! *wink* =)
i love i new right away. i am a little sad that he is no loger single but i am glad he got over the selfish bella and found his one true love. the moment he stopped loveing bella i new he would imprint on Nessie. (though i still wish it was me)
I actually have a love/hate situation when it comes to the imprinting. Because
1) I love the Jacob did NOT kill Renesmee
2) I love that Bella got an excuse to attack Jacob (even if he didn’t get hurt it was still awesome)
3) I love that Jacob is happy (I don’t hate him, i like him but sometimes i just want to kick him where it hurts)
4) I hate that Jacob had to imprint on Resesmee, because she’s a baby
5) I hate that jacob had to imprint on Renesmee, because she’s Bella’s daughter (imagine years later, Bella telling Renesmee how Jacob tried to kiss her and how he loved her and all that, quite an awkward situation)
6) I hate that Jacob imprinted on Renesmee because, Renesmee is WAY to good for him
In the end, i can’t decide whether i love or hate it. But I am okay with it, but i’m not exactly crazy about it either. If i had to choose Jacob’s imprintee I probably wouldn’t change it, i like it when Jacob is involved with the story, he’s a funny butt 🙂
Oh and at the end of Jacob’s book i did not figure out that jacob imprinted on Renesmee because I was half-asleep. I got the boook at midnight and had been reading all day it was aroung noon that i got to that part and i kept getting distracted by little things and every time i blinked i forgot how to open my eyes again. I didn’t even really get it when they spelled it out for me on page 449, like i said my brain wasn’t working so i am not unobservant, just not good without sleep.
I thought… FINALLY!!!!! I was sooooo happy that he finally had a chance to get over Bella. I couldn’t beleive it at first but then i was like… WOW. It’s so adorable, and at least he doesn’t have to wait as long for her to get older. I first figured out that he imprinted when he described the way he felt right after he saw nessie
i think the way that Jacob imprinted on Renesme worked out perfectfly because as jacob said he and bela can now love each other that will work out for both of them. and i know people think that its creepy but jacob also said that he just wants what best for her and nothing else. plus bella should be happy because it gives him a reason to stay around and not go run off again. i love the podcast btw.
The last thing I ever suspected was Jacob imprinting on Renesmee. Wolves imprint on those who be perfect for breeding more shape-shifter like themselves. How is that supposed to work for a half vampire-half human and a shape-shifter? Is there child going to be a mix of all three? Even though Nessie IS keeping Jacob in Forks for now. But will always wonder how it would have turned out for all of them.
As soon as Bella became pregnant (which threw me for the biggest loop ever), and I got over the shock of it, I instantly knew that Bella would give birth to a girl and Jacob would imprint on her. Before Breaking Dawn, I was always questioning how Stephenie Meyer would tie up the Jacob story, so as soon as Bella was pregnant, the answer I was looking for was SO obvious: Jacob would imprint on the baby. It was not at all unexpected (although my husband didn’t catch on that Jacob had imprinted until Jacob explained it to Bella). It also made sense to me at that point why Stephenie Meyer would choose to include in this Saga the instance of Quil imprinting on Claire. I think the point was for the reader to get used to the idea and accept the possibility of imprintation (not a real word) on infants. It was Stephenie’s way of slowly heating up the water so the reader wouldn’t feel like we jumped into a boiling pot (which is how I felt about the unexpected pregnancy – burned!). We were already warmed up to the idea of imprinting on babes. And, of course, it’s a perfect ending for Bella and Jacob. Almost too perfect…
I was so happy for Jacob imprinting because now he could be happy in the Cullen world with Bella and Edward and Renesme. I really didn’t get it either when he first imprinted. I had to call my friend at 1:00 in the morning to ask if that is what really happened. I was really confused too cause she should have smelt bad to him.
First of all let me suggest, always have a friend read a book with you at the same time (at least the good ones in a series, aka Breaking Dawn) because I started reading this without by best friend and then I had to hold it in because I had no one in the family to talk to and there was no way I was going to mention some parts to my mom(you know don’t want to jump start THAT talk.) And, Nathalie (my BFF)was mad at me.
Anyway I didn’t really have much of a problem with Jacob imprinting on Nessie. I was really surprised actually. Though by now I should know that anything is possible. I totally understand Bella’s reaction though. I would be extremely mad if my previous other Edward (for lack of better phrase, don’t get mad at me) who was in complete love with me, and like the first response said, thought dirty things about- fell in love with my newborn baby, or imprinted, is a stronger word.
The first moment I was suspicious about Jake imprinting on Nessie was the last page of his book. I was in doubt. In extreme doubt. Then when it clicked in Bella’s head, it clicked in mine. I KNEW that he had imprinted. It took me a second to get into it, but finally I was at peace with it.
I’ll admit it, the first time I read the paragraph where Jacob is describing the imprinting part, I was a little confused and had to read over it again right after to make sure that it really was imprinting that was going on.
I was glad that Jacob imprinted on Nessie. By the end of Book Two, I had become attached to Jacob, and I was worried that he would never find someone to imprint on. But when he did imprint, and it was on Nessie, I was glad that he was able to imprint, and it was on someone that would make it easier for him to continue being Bella’s friend.
I AM SOOOOOOO VERY MAD THAT JACOB IMPRINTED ON NESSIE! I think it was a good thing he did when they were about to start the fight but JACOB and NESSIE! HOW COULD THAT NOT BE WEIRD! EEEEEWWWWWW! It SICKIN’S me!!!!! But o well! Its already done… im just going to have to live with it….
At first I really hated it!!! To me it felt horrible because here was Bella just wanting to hold and love her baby, and then there was Jacob. I felt like it wasn’t his place to try to keep Bella from Nessie even if it was to protect her. Bella and Nessie just needed to be together and he made it so difficult. I totally felt what Bella was feeling in this situation. “Renesme is mine, you had her whille I was gone, my turn end of story!” He isn’t part of the equation and what Edward says for his daughter and wife should have happened. After a while though I liked it because I could see what he was willing to go through for her. Still I think his feelings take away too much from Bella and Edward.
I realized instantly. When Jacob said the force pulling him to Bella was gone. I knew it wasn’t because she was dead, she’s Edwards girl and he wouldn’t allow it.
When I was reading this part I was kind of wondering what was going on but then it clicked. I was extremely shocked. I was a little freaked out but I think I was filled more with relief. I was like finally Jacob isn’t going to be drooling Bella. After that I was just so overwhelmed with shock. Once I became myself again I actually was happy for him. I mean he just seemed in a werid Jacob way depressed. So I liked that Jacob imprinted on Nessie (so funny). And I after I read it I knew Jacob had imprinted on Renessmee.
