Is Dixie Dozen in Louisville Kentucky going to have a Midnight showing? Because me, my mom, and my sis all want to see it.

  2. Francesca says:

Is Redwood City, California or anywhere in the Bay Area/ Northern California having a midnight showing?????

  3. KimCullen says:

Thanks for posting the news! One fan at TwilightLexicon said that AMC will start making tickets available Nov 7th, and at that point they will know whether or not there will be a midnight release.
The best thing we can all do is call our local theaters – or visit in person to request a midnight show of Twilight. It helps to wear your Twilight gear – we leave more of an impression that way!

  4. Alex says:

Umm, Springfield, IL is there a showing cuz half the school wants 2 see it

  5. KimCullen says:

Fandango.com will be able to tell you if your theater has already scheduled a midnight showing. For most of us, so far the answer is no.. That’s why we’re all doing our part to create awareness/buzz among the various theater chains. In other words.. being persistent Twihards πŸ˜‰

  6. KimCullen says:

Alex, if half your school wants to see a midnight movie, definitely call them and let guest services know.. Get as many of your friends and classmates as you can to call and do the same.. Also, to ask theater staff in person when you do go to the cinema.. especially if you go to see Quarantine, City of Ember or Sex Drive – which should all have the Twilight trailer attatched.
It may be helpful if you guys tell me what company your theater belongs to..

  7. KimCullen says:

by call “them” i meant call your theater, of course.. The key is to get large numbers of people to voice interest

  8. Vikki says:

um… i think the company name is Cinemark Tinseltown in Mission, Texas! there are alot of people wanting to go from my highschool and i am just not sure if they are having one!

    πŸ™‚

  9. mariah cullen loves twilight says:

umm there better be a midnight showing in connecticut πŸ™‚

  10. Jane says:

    Pittsburgh better have one….

  11. karly says:

sonoma county/ Santa rosa city? (bay area California)

  12. KimCullen says:

Vikki – according to Fandango, the Cinemark tinseltown IS having a midnight show, and you can buy your tickets online today if you like!

  13. Anne says:

i emailed Wehrenberg Theaters (for a list of locations go to http://www.wehrenberg.com/ ) and they said

“Yes, we do plan a midnight showing. Watch our website. We’ll have
    tickets available soon, we hope.”

my suggestion is to just ask your local theater, and they should tell you, most theater chains have websites, just go to their “contact us” section and ask them

  14. Christina says:

OMG!!! Me and my cousin and her friends are all hoping and parying that the Broadway Mall in Hicksville is showing a midnight showing during the weekend (the day of Nov. 21st, night of Nov. 22nd). If they don’t have that, but they have a midnight showing the day of Nov. 20th… I would just die.

  15. KP :) says:

DO YOU KNOW IF THE SAN MARCOS OR ESCONDIDO THEATERS IN CALIFORNIA ARE SHOWING THEM?

  16. KimCullen says:

Francesca, so far theaters in Redwood City CA are NOT having a midnight showing.. If Century theaters normally have midnight movies, you will want to call guest services, or drop by in person to ask if they are planning on doing one.. Ask your Twilight friends in the area to do the same..

  17. kayla says:

to bad i cant go to a midnight showing on the 20th:( , that would mean me and all my friends would have to skip school the next day, that would look weird if we ALL were missing lol :), we are hopeing to go the night of the 21st though

  18. KimCullen says:

In regards to Anne’s suggestion.. some chains do have email contact information. For those of us planning on attending the movie at AMC.. they don’t provide any kind of corporate contact information. That is why you have to call or visit the theater. Thanks to everyone for your help! I have already petitioned most of the major Twilight fan sites to post a bulletin – but with the speed that Twilight updates show up, they will quickly be off the main page. Make sure to tell your friends online and in person what they have to do to get a midnight release!

  19. kayla says:

I’ve been on the lookout but maybe i”ve missed somewhere that has tickets available already. I’ve been checking Fandango and seaching forums online but to no avail!!! Does anyone know of anything??? Also i hear that some of the actors are touring to major cities a week before the premiere and that Cam Gigandet and the other bad vamps will be coming through the Seattle area. Does anyone know dates and any info for that event? If you are in the Seattle area (or even Portland, it’s close enough) and know of anything “twilight” going on in that area please, please, please email me!!! I’m ALWAYS on the lookout but any help would be great!! THANKS!!!

  26. KimCullen says:

Sam, the AMC in Rockaway has NOT scheduled a midnight showing. Please call guest services at 973-328-4255 and ask if they are planning on scheduling one. Ask you friends to call in and do the same. Stop by in person if you can, just to ask about it – even if you don’t have time to catch a movie..

This goes for everyone: Express interest in seeing the midnight movie.. Be enthusiastic and persistent, but please be polite and positive with theater staff! We’ll leave a better impression that way πŸ™‚ Don’t forget to wear your favorite Twilight shirts!

  27. KimCullen says:

Amy, as of now, neither AMC nor Edward’s in the Pasadena area have scheduled a midnight show.

I’m from the metro Detroit area and can not even find one listing for showtimes, let alone tickets available for sell for the movie. I’ve been checking because I have a pretty good size group (at least 10 people) that would love to go and see the movie the Friday it comes out. It’s very frustrating!! πŸ™

  29. KimCullen says:

To Jane, and anyone else in the Pittsburgh area, NO midnight showings are currently available.. Please call your theaters to ask if they are planning for one.

This was the only AMC contact I could find in your region:

These are the guest services contact numbers you will want to contact to ask if they plan on having a Twilight midnight showing. Recruit your Twilight friends to call as well! 34. Rheanne says:

Will there be a midnight showing in or anywhere near Norman, OK?

  35. KimCullen says:

Rheanne, I could NOT find any midnight showings scheduled in your town.

If you are near Oklahoma City you can call guest services at the following theaters, asking about a midnight show:
    Crossroads Mall 16 (405) 632-4872
    Quail Springs Mall 24 (405) 755-2418

  36. I am trying to get the Consolidated theatre at Ward to have a midnight showing – the manager gave me his card to call to see if they are – please stop by and see managers in person…he said people are beginning to ask.

I am also writing to the Consolidated Headquarters and telling the theatre that does have a midnight showing should ask the store managers of the local Borders to promote this as well…to get the message out!!!!

    We need to support this!!!!!

If you live in Oahu and are interested in forming a united front, please email me and we can work on this together – duke0202004@yahoo.com.

    Mahalo!!!!

    Update:
The official word is that AMC will have tickets available for advance purchase November 7th. By that point, we should know if a midnight release is scheduled. I was told that when it comes to special engagements, they might not know til the last minute. Guest services suggested that the corporate office may be waiting on permission from Summit to do a midnight show. This seems unlikely, since some Cinemark theaters in the US have already scheduled and sold tickets for a 12:01am show.. unless Summit has to give permission to each theater-chain individually?

AMC’s corporate headquarters in Kansas City, MO (816) 221-4000 will ask for a four digit extension or forward you to the operator. As of now, we do not have a contact name or department.

I did call Summit Entertainment, but the receptionist was unsure where to forward my call. When I said that I was calling as “an interested party” in regard to midnight distribution, I got a voicemail in Exhibitor Services. I suppose in the ‘industry’, they call theaters ‘exhibitors’. Another term that gets thrown around is: Domestic Theatrical Distribution.

I will keep searching for a way to email our inquiry to AMC/Summit.. In the meantime, make sure your local theaters are aware of fan interest in the film!
Remember to post any progress, success, updates here πŸ™‚

  42. Anna says:

what about Regal Cinemas? Anyone know if they’re having midnite releases???! AAHHHH! if they don’t i will…say some naughty words at them that i shouldn’t say here…lol

  43. Shteff! says:

I would request one for Liverpool, but Englands a few months off getting the joy of Twilight πŸ˜‰

  44. Anna says:

by the way, i posted about this on my twilight fansite/blog, peacelovetwilightblog.blogspot.com. i referred them to TST..
Kim should I refer them to you also?

  45. KimCullen says:

Anna, thanks for posting on your site! I didn’t realize PLT was yours πŸ™‚ You can inform your readership to check fandango.com to check if any showtimes have been posted / midnight show has been scheduled.. You can also recommend that they get contact information from their theater’s website and call/visit to let guest services know that they are interested in a midnight release.. If they have any ideas or need something more, they can post here or contact me directly if they want to get involved!

  46. KimCullen says:

    Update:
For anyone else in the Metro Philly / Bucks County area-
I spoke to Mike @ Neshaminy Mall and he could only confirm midnight showings for Quantum of Solace, Madagascar 2 and High School Musical 3.. They said to check back Nov 7th and they should know by then, but sometimes they don’t know about special engagments til the last minute.
Jill at Cherry Hill AMC/Lowes hadn’t heard of Twilight before but since lots of people were asking for it she asked a friend (who’s a huge fan) and now she wants to read the books/see the movies as well!
Tim @ Woodhaven 10 said that he doesn’t know yet, but he probably will have a midnight showing if he gets enough prints. He also said if Neshaminy doesn’t have a midnight show he definitely will, haha!

None of the people at AMC have received a one-sheet/poster from Summit yet??

  47. KimCullen says:

Anna, I checked http://www.edwardscinemas.com which is the site for Regal Entertainment, which owns Regal Cinema, United Artists and Edward’s Cinemas.. My UA barely does midnight showings and could only verify SawV, but it varies by location, you know? The locations section will list the contact number for guest services at the theater nearest you. Also, keep checking fandango.com for movie times to be posted. So far the only chain I’ve found that’s selling tickets for midnight shows is Cinemark – and only in certain states. Good luck!

  48. Brittany says:

i emailed my local theater and they said it was up to the movie company, not the theater.

  49. hAnG tEn 8) says:

can anybody tell me the theatre for the midnight twilight viewing for Redmond, OR…or Bend, OR

i know there will be one i just don’t know where to get the tickets or which theatre it’ll be in..!…!…!

  50. KimCullen says:

Brittany, your theater is correct — whether or not theaters are allowed to have midnight showings is up to the film company, in this case Summit. Whether or not theaters will actually show midnight movies (once given permission) is a theater’s corporate decision. After that point, it’s up to the individual theaters in that company if they feel there will be a large enough turn out to justify the expense of keeping extra staff (especially for concessions!) for a late showing.

For example, my local mall generally has midnight showings for pretty much anything that will draw a crowd – which was why I found it shocking that Twilight’s fate was uncertain.. Other AMC theaters in my area -could- do just as many midnight shows, but they usually don’t. Once Summit gives the green light it’s up to each theater chain and then each theater manager.. That’s why our voicing our love for Twilight actually makes a difference. Hopefully that clears some things up!
