Top 10 Ways Twilight’s and True Blood’s Heroines Are Alike
Oct 14th, 2008 | By Krystal | Category: Featured Articles, Movie NewsReelz Channel has an article on the similarities between Twilight and True Blood.
(As we’ve pointed out in the past, the series “True Blood” and the books it’s based on are for a mature audience and are not meant for the YA audience.ย However, this article is quite appropriate for both groups)ย Thanks Wendy ๐
this is great ๐ i was musing about the similarities this weekend when i was catching up on HBO…
Just to comment on the content of the Sookie Stackhouse Series.
I am a big Twilight fan and a big fan of the Sookie Series. I am half way through the later series. I have also been enjoying the HBO show with my husband whom I can’t get to read a book!!! ๐ I am also a mother and I must caution readers to the difference in content between the two series. The Sookie series is NOT a YA series!! However much I love it, I don’t think it is appropriate for the youngest of Twilight readers. This content is why a network like HBO picked it up!!! You may want to include a disclaimer in your post. But if you are of ‘adult age’ or maturity I would recommend this series to you. I have been enjoying it very much and it is fun to make the comparisons not just in the lead characters, but in the way the authors have portrayed the abilities and characteristics of their super natural beings.
I just started watching True Blood, its really good but it’s definitely not for teenage audiences. I agree definitely.
